Oh my goodness, I can't even believe I'm saying this, but my sweet Bailey girl is EIGHT!!! Eight, as in the number 8. Goodness, she was 8 months just yesterday...how does this happen!?!?! I say it every time, but ugh...HOW do we slow this time thing down!?!?!

Ok, enough of the heavy stuff...

This was SUCH a fun party theme!!! Bailey loved the idea of having an art party since she loves crafts (just like her mama). First stop in party planning, contact my party design expert Amanda of AMANDAS PARTIES TO GO and find her suuuuuuper colorful, gorgeous, PERFECT art party collection and plan a party around it! ;)

Cake first...

Cake pops using watercolor paint brushes as sticks.

"Blank Canvas" cookies. Later in the party the kids decorated these sugar cookies using Americolor edible ink markers.

One of Bailey's favorite candies are these wax liquid sugar thingies. Not even sure what they're called, but we played them off as paint tubes. ;) She was thrilled that they made an appearance on the table!

The "not so blank" canvases after the kiddos did their artistic magic on them...

Juice boxes turned into crayons using the wraps from Amanda's collection.

I turned dollar store paint brushes into ribbon streamer wands by hot gluing ribbon to the base of the brushes (where the brush meets the handle).

This was a fun little punch game I made. Under each color (tissue paper) was a prize. The girls used the paint brush to break the tissue paper and reveal their prize.

This cake was created for my sweet friend Caroline and her wonderful fiancé Mark. Last weekend a few of us girls got together and threw Caroline and Mark a couple's shower to celebrate their engagement. They're much cuter in person, but everyone deserves to see what they'd look like as an edible treat! ;)

Olivia's Farm Party!!!

Oh my goodness what a whirlwind couple of weeks this has been!! I CANNOT believe I'm just now getting around to posting my sweet Olivia's 5th birthday party pics (party was over two weeks ago)!! It was SUCH a great time!!

We decided on a farm theme since our Livie loves animals. ♥ Amanda from Amandas Parties To Go just came out with THE MOST ADORABLE farm theme collection that totally inspired me to have a super fun on the farm shindig! You're going to fall in love with these farm printables. Every printable design came from her SHOP. She fabulous and you must check her out riiiiiiiight HERE!

Aaaaand before we begin the pictures I must make a confession...I hate cookies. Well, I don't hate cookies, but I hate MAKING them! UGH. They're so time consuming and honestly, down right HARD to do! SO, this time I outsourced. I teamed up with the amazingly talented Beth from Decorated Desserts. You can check out her other creations HERE at her Etsy SHOP. Her cookies are amazing!!

To keep the kiddos entertained we had baby bunnies and baby ducks to pet and hold. These little critters were a HUGE hit!!!!

We also had a chicken egg hunt for the kiddos. Each guest was given an egg carton and told that the farm chicken laid a bunch of eggs, but the wind blew them all away and it was up to them to find all the lost eggs. ;)

As you can see they were VERY excited about this game!!! Off to find their eggs!

Inside the eggs we put candy and other little goodies.

Each guest was also given their own little wooden barn.

For the craft activity we had the little ones paint their barn.

And then it was time for birthday cake!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a FUN party!!! Thank you so much to Amanda for coming up with THE cutest farm design. It was perfect! And Beth, your cookies rock!!! Bunnies and ducks, you were the life of the party! Guests/friends...you made my baby's day!!!

And one more Happy Birthday sweet Livie. You are the light of my life and I love you all the way to the farm and back!!! ;)

Party favors. Stacked boxes filled with Valentine party favors and candy.

The girls brought valentines to exchange. I made these adorable felt valentine holders for the back of the chairs. They were very easy to make!

Included in this freebie is coloring pages and activity sheets. I also had other crafts for the girls including a frame to paint and decorate with stickers and a little owl bead necklace to sting together.

Mother/Daughter Gingerbreatd Decorating Shindig!

Yesterday afternoon my daughters and I hosted a Mother/Daughter gingerbread decorating party. It was a perfect afternoon of Christmas music, gingerbread, desserts, hot cocoa and FRIENDS! I really did love this party so much that I may turn it into a yearly tradition! :)

As always, gotta give a big thank you to AMANDAS PARTIES TO GO. All the printable decorations you see came from her shop. I just love throwing a party when I get to use her beautiful designs!!!

Here is my mama and me gingerbread decorating par-teeeee!

The reindeer went on strike this week. Demanding they get paid more $$ or they were gonna walk out (or unionize). I think Santa was trying to show them "I'll do it myself if I have to".

Its also not a CHRISTMAS party without a HOT COCOA BAR!!!

How cute are these travel mugs!?! I found them at the Dollar Tree and thought they'd be perfect for the children to drink out of. (any cup with a top on it is always a good idea with little clumsy hands) The best part about these mugs is they have an interchangeable insert that allows you to totally customize. I used the patterned paper from Amanda's Christmas set so they would coordinate with the table. LOVE. And then the adults just drank out of boring ol' white mugs. lol (we never get to have any fun!!)

OHHHHHH-ME-GAAAWWWWSH!!!! I found THIS crockpot hot cocoa recipe online and whoa. It was gooooooood. I don't think I'll ever be able to make that packet hot chocolate again! ;)

actually I will because its easier....

It was sooo rich and creamy and just GOOD! I used a big spoon/dipper thingy to serve it.

Oh, and then we made it eeeeeven better by adding "toppers". I mean really?!!?

Toppers included...Andes mints, peppermints, marshmallows, chocolate chips and m&ms. I also had peppermint sticks to stir, cinnamon, sugar, and more chocolate. lol (I don't normally eat like this y'all!)

Y'all got a cavity just by looking at these pictures. I'm sure of it.

On to the gingerbread houses.

Each little girl got their own apron (sorry moms, none for y'all!). I used a heat press to add the adorable gingerbread man graphic from Amanda's Christmas set . These turned out sooo cute and the girls loved them.

I asked every guest to bring a bag or two of candy to share for the decorating. We ended up with a great assortment.

Once the guests arrived they were eager to get started.

After we were finished with the houses the kids chugged their hot chocolate and ran around my house like crazy people, stopping every few minutes to grab another sweet thing from the table. ;)

Remember these guys? Yeah well, sadly they all got beheaded. Most even lost their legs. I can't understand why children want to eat gumpaste figurines. but they DO! Thank God for pictures because that is all that's left of these cuties.

Once it was time for all the kiddos to go home I made sure they took a mini bottle of Sixlets with them. You know, just in case they didn't get enough sugar at my house. hehehe evil laugh

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!!

So, I have to admit I had a little fun with this one! :) Having two girls of my own, I have a lot of experience planning girl themed parties and desserts, but little opportunity to explore the "boy" themes.. So when I got the call from Jordan's mom to design this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle dessert table I was super excited and ready to take on the challenge. ;)

I wanted the backdrop to resemble the city sewer pictured in the TMNT video games. When I found this brick panel at Lowes I was soooo excited! Took it home, spray painted some green "slime" on it and then build a "sewer pipe system" out of pvc pipe (spray painted silver).

After the backdrop was complete, the rest of the table was a "piece of cake".

How FANTASTIC are these cookies!?!?! I'm going to go ahead and tell you all it was NOT ME that created these spectacular treats. I did create the pizza cookies for this table, but when it comes to character cookies I'm 100% incapable. So I headed over to NatSweetsCookies on Etsy and found these gems! Amazing work. I'm in awe of her talent!

Yesterday I had the most fun setting up this adorable dessert table for Isabella's first birthday celebration! Isabella's mom Jessica planned a beautiful party and picked the most adorable theme. Isabella is her mommy and daddy's little pumpkin so this sweet pink and orange Little Pumpkin party was perfect for a baby born in the fall, especially so close to Halloween!

So....my brother man Trey (he is actually my cousin) is getting married in a couple months to a fabulously sweet and beautiful girl, Whitney. I think the world of this precious couple and am so excited that our family is about to gain a saaaawwweeet addition in November. ;)

This weekend I helped host a couples shower for them in their hometown of Charlotte. They're getting married at a dairy barn and the wedding will have a very shabby chic/rustic/oh-so-stylish feel to it so we wanted to mimic that theme in their shower. Bride-to-be Whitney also has a small love affair with mason jars so we decided they needed to be incorporated throughout the party.

So here it is...their mason jar, burlap, shabby chic shindig!

These pumpkin pies in a jar were not only fun to eat, but OH ME GOSH! They were so tasty. One bite and I was officially ready for fall!!

Trey and Whit are getting married on November 2 this year so I thought it'd be fun to dress up this little hay stack with their wedding date. ;)

Lets go back 10 years. If you sat me down and told me I would one day really enjoy taking close up pictures of banana bread and then share those pictures on the internet because I thought it was just too pretty, I would say YOU ARE crazy, I'll never be that weird...

I told you they were beautiful...

We set up a table where guests could share their marriage advice with the (almost) newlyweds.

And yes, of course the guests sipped their drinks out of mason jars. That's a given right?! ;)

We had a little fun with the guests of honor and had them play the newlywed game. We asked them series of questions (who was the first to say I love you, how many kids do y'all want to have, etc etc) and they wrote their answer down on a dry erase board. If their answer matched we moved on to the next question. If their answers did NOT match they had to put a piece of bubble gum in their mouths. Very fun and cute game.

They did pretty good with their answers, but still had a mouth full of gum by the end of the game. ;)

Aaaand for party favors, a little bag with some cookies to go.

Pretty In Pink Baby Shower

This past weekend I helped host a baby shower for one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world, Merey. She is the sweetest, funniest buddy a girl could have and I love her to death. This will be Merey's 2nd child, but her FIRST girl and THAT is something to celebrate!

We didn't choose a theme other than pink and girly, sweet and frilly.

I wanted it to be perfect JUST LIKE MY MEREY!!

So here you are, a shower to celebrate little Miss Sadie, coming in October. Hopefully you enjoy the pictures and maybe gather an idea or two for your next shower or celebration!

These smore cups were SOOOOO yummy. I love the way the chocolate piping "baby" and "girl" came out.

We had a little spot set up with diapers and sharpie markers. Guests were encouraged to write little notes on the booty of the diapers, words of encouragement for the tired/stressed parents as they change diaper after diaper after diaper on into the wee hours of the night...

We set up a baby clip making station. I did this at another shower I helped throw and it was such a hit that we decided to include it at this one. I LOVE the concept of a clip making station because it keeps guests entertained (everyone loves arts and crafts) and it also serves as a useful little gift for the baby from each guest!

Step one: Grab a clip and choose a ribbon.
Step two: Carefully remove backing from ribbon. Open your clip. Starting on the inside attach the ribbon all all the way around the clip.

Step Three: Choose an embellishment to decorate your clip and hot glue it on.

Step Four: Make sure it looks pretty and sign your name to it!

The hostesses with the Mama-To-Be

Isn't it so annoying when you see pregnant girls that look FABULOUS...all that has changed is a teeny tiny CUTE perfectly round bump! Yeah, that's Merey. For the record, I looked nothing like this when I was preggo. Think swollen, fat, puffy and for some reason, my face broke out like a teenager. My body went into freak out mode when I carried babies. lol

We played the memory/candy game (same one from the bird shower I did). This is the only picture that I have from the game and I actually love it. lol Merey and I both look crazy...she is shoveling a smore pop into her mouth and I am making some weird face. Its perfect because we're both kinda goofy girls (only kinda??) so it suits us. ;)

Guests were asked to sign in at the front door.
