			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Anderson University&#8217;s Leonard Wells finished 15th in the discus the NCAA Div. III National Track and Field Championships on Thursday in Claremont, Calif.</p>
<p>Wells throw at the national meet with 47.59 meters. The senior from Warsaw has qualified for the national event three times in the discus.</p>
<p>The top 20 throwers qualified for the meet with the top eight advancing to the final round and being named All-Americans. Wells also holds the AU school record in the discus (171).</p>
<p>&#8220;We are very proud of Leonard,&#8221; said AU coach Scott Wilson. &#8220;He has put a lot of time into his training at AU. This will be a great experience for him and a great way to end his athletic career at Anderson University.&#8221;</p>

<p>Other AU men&#8217;s finishers were Brad McNeil in the 400 hurdles (14th, 56.92), Max Kittle in the 110 hurdles (18th, 15.66), Matt St. Amour in the 800 meters (39th, 1:58) and Eric Linn in the 1,500 meters (35th, 4:12).</p>
<p>Other Raven women finishers were Amanda Spear in the javelin (7th, 112-3), Candace DeLong in the 3,000 steeplechase (8th, 11:21.10) and Emily Radke in the discus (13th, 124-1).</p>

<p>Other AU men&#8217;s finishers were Max Kittle in the 110 hurdles (16th, 15.43) and 400 hurdles (30th, 58.10), Brad McNeil in the 110 hurdles (29th, 16.16) and 400 hurdles (23rd, 56.92), Matt St. Amour in the 800 meters (63rd, 1:58) and Eric Linn in the 1,500 meters (39th, 4:07).</p>
<p>Candace DeLong led the women with an eighth finish in the 3,000 steeplechase in 11:22. That is the second best time in school history.</p>
<p>Other AU women finishers were Sarah Bromagem in the 800 meters (18th, 2:16), Emily Radke in the discus (18th, 108-2) and Shantol McMahon in the discus (23rd, 79-4).</p>

<p>Other top five finishers for the Ravens were Leonard Wells in the shot put (2nd, 47-11) and discus (2nd, 148-3), Brad McNeil in the 400 hurdles (4th, 56.47) and the 400 meter relay team of Ryan Mote, Kyle Vergon, Chazz Millman and Johnson (43.00).</p>
<p>Wabash won the meet with 173 2/3 points, followed by Rose-Hulman (117.5), Washington (115), Franklin (72.5), Greenville (59 1/3), Anderson (48), DePauw (36), Spalding (36), Principia (35) and Marian (33) in the top 10.</p>
<p>AU travels to Franklin next Friday and Saturday for the HCAC Championships.</p>

<p>AU won the meet with 143 points, followed by Earlham (115) and Thomas More (74).</p>
<p>&#8220;Our team gave a good effort today,&#8221; said AU coach Scott Wilson. &#8220;We  trained well this week and then backed it up with good performances in a  meet that should built confidence.&#8221;</p>
<p>Leonard Wells led the Ravens with victories in the shot put (46-0 1/2), discus (151-8) and hammer throw (126-6).</p>
<p>Tony Johnson, Brad McNeil and Matt St. Amour each won two individual events for the Ravens. Johnson won the 100 meters (11.09) and 200 meters (22.72) while McNeil was victorious in the 110 hurdles (16.25) and 400 hurdles (56.95) and St. Amour in the 800 meters (1:59.96) and 1,500 meters (4:06.23). St. Amour also had a personal best time in the 1,500 meters.</p>
<p>Other winners for the Ravens were Eric Mitchell in the javelin (129-3) and Chazz Millman in the 400 meters (52.36)</p>
<p>Both the 400 relay team (44.84) of Ryan Mote, Millman, Kyle Vergon, Johnson and the 1,600 relay team (3:29.00) of Millman, McNeil, St. Amour and Vergon were also victorious.</p>
<p>AU hosts the Raven Invitational on Thursday at 4 p.m.</p>

<p>Johnson finished fourth in the 200 meters (22.77) and McNeil was also fourth in the 110 hurdles (16.34)</p>
<p>Other top five finishers were Jack Hill in the 400 meters (3rd, 51.37), Leslie Rowley in the long jump (3rd, 19-6) and the 1,600 relay team (4th, 3:28.14).</p>

<p>Tony Johnson finished fourth in the 60 meters in 7.05 and Max Kittle was 10th in the 60 hurdles in a time of 8.62.</p>
<p>Other AU men&#8217;s finishers were Brad McNeil in the 400 meters (11th, 51.65), Eric Linn in the mile (24th, 4:38.46), Emby Duncan (30th, 16:39.69) and Matt St. Amour (31st, 16:41.43) in the 5,000 meters.</p>
<p>Sarah Bromagem finished seventh in the 800 meters in 2:20.41, which is sixth in school history and a personal best time. Alex Friske finished eighth in the 60 hurdles in a time of 9.14.</p>
<p>Candace DeLong finished 12th in the 5,000 meters in a time of 18:28.35, which is a personal best and eighth in school history.</p>

<p>Tony Johnson, Patrick Smith and the 800 meter relay team all had first place finishes to lead the Ravens.</p>
<p>Johnson finished first in the 60 meters in a time of 6.94 and Smith was victorious in the 1,000 meters in 2:48.55. His time was a fieldhouse record as well as a personal best and he ranks 19th in the nation.</p>
<p>The relay team of Brad McNeil, Kyle Vergon, Chazz Millman and Johnson won in a time of 1:34.54.</p>
<p>Emby Duncan notched a runner-up finish in the 3,000 steeplechase in 9:50.28.</p>
<p>Wabash won the meet with 130 points, followed by Manchester (54.5), Franklin (53) and Anderson (51).</p>
<p>AU competes at the Washington University Invitational on Mar. 23 at 11 a.m.</p>

<p>Tony Johnson led the Ravens with a victory in the 60 meters in a time of 7.02. Johnson also finished 16th in the 200 meters.</p>
<p>Max Kittle finished second in the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 8.52 and Leonard Wells also had a top five finish with a four-place showing in the shot put (45-11 3/4).</p>
<p>All three of the Ravens&#8217; relay teams finished third and Brad McNeil was fifth in the 400 meters (51.74).</p>
<p>Rose-Hulman won the meet with 262 points, followed by Defiance (112.5), Manchester (81.5), Franklin (50), Anderson (45), Earlham (32.5), Hanover (15), Mt. St. Joseph (11), Transylvania (7) and Bluffton (6.5).</p>
<p>AU hosts the Fred Wilt Indoor Invitational next Saturday at the Kardatzke Wellness Center at 3 p.m.</p>

<p>Eric Linn and Tony Johnson each won individual events for the Ravens and both the 800 and 1,600 relay teams finished first.</p>
<p>Linn won the mile in a time of 4:33.01 while Johnson won the 60 meters in a time of 7:01.</p>
<p>Johnson&#8217;s time in the 60 meters is the currently the best time in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference this season.</p>
<p>The 800 relay team of Brad McNeil, Kyle Vergon, Tony Johnson and Jack Hill won in a time of 1:33.41 while the 1,600 team consisted of Brad McNeil, Kyle Vergon, Max Kittle and Jack Hill in 3:27.55.</p>
<p>The 800 relay team currently has the second best time in the conference while the 1,600 relay team has the third fastest time in the HCAC.</p>
<p>Max Kittle, who finished second in the 60 hurdles (8.48) has the second best time in the HCAC.</p>
<p>AU runs in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships next Saturday in Terre Haute at 1 p.m.</p>

<p>Other top five finishers for the Ravens were Matt St. Amour (3rd, 16:21.11), Marc St. Amour (4th, 16:22.54) and Erin Linn (5th, 16:31.29) in the 5,000 meter race.</p>
<p>The Ravens host the AU Indoor Invitational in the Kardatzke Wellness Center on Saturday at 3 p.m.</p>

<p>Radke finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 38-11 while Wells was fifth in the shot put with a distance of 46-2.</p>
<p>Other AU men&#8217;s finishers were Colton Sewell in the shot put (13th, 37-7) and weight throw (13th, 28-4), Max Kittle in the 60 meters (13th, 8.89), Steven Wingler in the shot put (17th, 32-7), DeTarance Harvey in the weight throw (12th, 32-9), shot put (18th, 21-8) and Brad McNeil in the 60 meters (16th, 9.13) and 200 meters (17th, 24.07).</p>
<p>Other AU women&#8217;s finishers were Amanda Spear in the weight throw (13th, 39-3).</p>
<p>AU travels to the Indiana Wesleyan Indoor Invitational on Saturday at noon.</p>

<p>The three indoor meets will be on Feb. 4, 11 and 25 with the three outdoor meets on Mar. 31, April 5 and 20. The Ravens conclude the respective indoor and outdoor team season schedules at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Feb. 18 (Rose-Hulman) and Apr. 27-28 (Franklin).</p>
<p>Meet information for all home meets will be posted on our 2012 Schedule/Results page and entries will be done through directathletics.com.</p>
