I don't know if she made this pillow herself, or what the story is behind this photo? It just cracked me up. I know she died with 81, so she had time to experience old age. Somehow I get the feeling she was no SISSIE!

When I saw the pillow, she sent me the image via email, I smiled very wide...That used to be my pillow! I gave it to her 10 years ago when I moved away from Brooklyn. So the pillow came full circle......That deserves the pillow that made me smile award because it made two people SMILE!

And that is exactly why I smiled because that is where I put my Bindi. I don't think I have a developed a third eye but I sure have developed a love for Bindis, maybe substituting my third eye. Or my third eye loves fashion as much as I do and wants bling......

Ahoy pillow...you made me smile today! This nautical flag stands for M like Mike. My vessel is stopped; making no way. Mark Missing (Sailing Regatta).

My family always owned sail boats and I learned how to sail when I was very young. My brothers (Thomas and Markus) and I would climb in our 'Pirat' and go for little adventures. Somehow I always ended up at the helm...Now, looking at the photo of us I can tell I always gravitated towards red, it's still my favorite color. Markus, the blond boy in the picture became a master shipbuilder, making beautiful wooden sailboats.

They say that every morning we awaken to a new day. What better icon for a pillow, then, than Ganesha, the Lord of New Beginnings! Add to that his other title of “Remover of Obstacles”, and that is possibly the best way to start OR end any day.

My beautiful wife and I were married in Jaipur, and rode elephants there at the Red Fort. Elephants and Ganesha have been a very important symbol in our lives ever since…This pillow makes me very happy…

When I moved to the US from Germany I could only afford to bring two suitcases. So I had this brilliant idea to buy two old mailbags in the shape of sailor bags. I believe I found them for cheap at a flea market in Cologne. They looked really cool, they were made out of super light but sturdy nylon, just perfect to optimize the weight allowance. One said HAWAII on it, the other one ARIZONA. So I stuffed them to the limit and off I went to John F. Kennedy in NY. I arrived safely -- my luggage didn't. It took about 2 weeks for the bags to show up in NY. They had their own little exotic trip to Hawaii and Arizona. The poor airline luggage handlers didn't know that these were out of commission mailbags, they assumed it was important mail going from Germany to Hawaii and Arizona.

Today the 'He and She Trophy' pillows by Ralph Lauren Home made me smile! 

I saw the two versions of animal print pillows and immediately decided that one was for his chair (of course it has to be leather) and the other pillow would go on her chair. Animal print has a genderless quality to me-- it looks good in a bachelor pad or a more feminine styled home. I am always drawn to animal prints; maybe it runs in the family. My mother's side of the family had a game ranch in Kenya many years ago, when gaming was still allowed. Today I watched the Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Autumn/Winter 2013 show from London, and to my delight they showed a lot of animal print!

I just envisioned the designer of this pillow (who has a secret life as a hairdresser) go snip snip with big 'ole' scissors and the threads went flying.....how fun! We could go crazy and add some braids and beads....maybe not? Anyway, great idea!

I adore this pillow! I can just see, every night when we all go to our bedrooms, the hounds wait until we are fast asleep and then climb onto the sofas. I imagine that they smile at the pillow and think what a great headrest. Sometimes we catch them, sometimes we don't. Our dog always left big footprints, slobbers and of course hair behind while pretending to have slept on his dog bed all night. 

You just gotta love them, the dog and this pillow!
