What up people how yall been, its been a while since my last blog, yeah I know im sorry but hey I like to blog only when I have something to say. Not just random stuff...Also as yall know I wana be a sports manager, so be on the look out for my boy Dj Woods I will have updates on all his stats and things like that throughout the season. Let me start this off with a quote that I thought was one of the best statements ever made.

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude." ~William James.

In life when we have bad things to deal with weather it be a bad situation we got ourselves into, a bad person we have to deal with, or a bad habit, we tend to focus on the negative out comes of the situation and not the positive. We tend to over react and blow things out of proportion and hold on to the negativity which is obviously not good.

When we are so infatuated with the "little things" in life easily annoyed, easily irritated and easily bothered our reactions to the situation gets in the way of us getting what we want, we actually lose sight of the main objective. By doing that we tend to annoy other people and push them away and those people we pushed away might have actually been the people that was put in the situation to help us.

To sum all that up, most of us live our lives as if it were one BIG EMERGENCY. When bad things happen we rush around and pretend to be busy in order to avoid the situation and solve other problems while ignoring the first problem we had, little do we no we are not solving anything, we are only compounding our problems. And since we are living our lives like one big emergency we spend our lives dealing with drama after drama after drama. Soon enough we began to believe that everything is a big deal but we fail to realize that the way we deal with out problems has a lot to do with how fast we solve our problems. We should approach problems with ease it will make problems that seemed unsolvable actually easy to solve. it will also make even the Biggest problem seem small to us and the truly stressful things will not throw you off track as much as they once did.

We must replace old habits of reaction, with new habits of perspective which will in turn help us to have a more satisfying life.

Don't sweat the small things, I know its the simple things in life that matter, but still.. When a problem arises stop and think, is this really worth my time and energy, should I really be mad and stressed out about this. Just know that any problem that have, any situation your going through, it could be worse.....LET GO AND LET GOD. for he is in control.

"The Decision 2010" Did Lebron make the right choice?

Hello world as you know all Lebron James decided to take his "talents" to South Beach and JOIN Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat in "Wade County."

I must admit my initial reaction to Lebron James leaving was anger, but that lasted for five minutes. After hearing what he had to say about not being selfish and willing to give up his own fame to win a ring changed my mind. Although I completely disagree with his decision he says it was the right one for him so cool, but I also disagree with that.

Lets face it Lebron yes you are one of the greatest players to ever play the game. You have the numbers the statistics and all that. You are 25 yeas old in the prime of your career and played on a WINNING team yet you decided that joing Dwayne Wade and Bosh was the best decision for you to make. Yes, you got on ESPN and said with you joing the heat you guys have the chance to win 8+ Championships, but lets be honest, you will not win that many. Also I feel that you being compared to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant then essintially running away from Cleveland because YOU could not lead them to a championship is disrespectful to the game of basketball. The Cavs were a great team and as a fan of the game I feel like you took the easy way out. Not just in basketball but in life we all will go through hard times and you have to see them through walking away from them will not help you grow as a man. Kobe had hard times in LA...He stuck with them and won 2 stright, Jordan had hard times in Chicago, he stuck with it and won 6 and became the best player to ever play the game of basketball. Yes you may win ring, but lets be honest Robert Horry has 11 rings, what good is it to have a ring and no Legacy.

Now over these past couple days I have been hearing a lot of things. First of the Dan Gibert incident. I do not disagree with Dan Gilberts actions at all. Lebron should have told Cleveland what he was going to do so that Cleveland would not have waited on him. People say no one wants to go to Cleveland but thats not true if Lebron would have said that he was going to stay in Cleveland then Boozer, or even Bosh might have came to Cleveland. Also he should have told the people close to him that he was leaving. He bascailly keep everyone out of the loop which is not cool. Team Mate Mo Williams did not even know he was leaving, he found out the same night the rest of the country found out. Mo goes on to say via twitter: "The only thing, and I mean the only thing I disagree with is.... If he knew somewhere else was the destination. He should have spared cle" It is rumored that his closet friends and family members did not even know about his decision. I think he went all about what he did in the wrong way and could have handled it a lot better then he did.

The What ifs:

Ok Yes Miami now has 3 superstars on their team...They now also have Mike Miller and Udonis....Thats cool, but they also traded away the rights to future draft picks, and paying Lebron Wade and Bosh over $300 million in the next 6 years...Which leaves room to wonder, who are they going to add to this team so they can infact compete for an NBA championship? Also lets say Lebron stayed on the Cavs and they win the regular season again and he wins MVP again and make it to the play offs like the past couple years, with a new coach whos to say the wouldnt go all the way. OK and if they do not go all the way this year, Chris Paul is a free agent next year, and I bet any money he would have signed with the Cavs, and bring Chris to Cleveland would make them in the front running for a NBA Title. I feel its safe to say what Dan Gilbert said is true. Nothing comes easy and just by the things Lebron said in the press conference with Wade and Bosh he feels that him making that move will make it EASY for them to win a ring, he said and I quote: "With me and Wade on the wings Pat Riley can suit up and just throw the ball up and we will go get it,"

Lebron you are my favorite player, and still are, but I am disappointed in your decision, you let the Cavs down, the city of Cleveland down and even some of your friends and family. I wish you will! keep working hard...go cavs!

Life Goes On.

Just sitting here thinking about life, its a hard concept to grab. I do not know about y'all but to me it crazy to think that right now, I am typing this blog, and somewhere across the world someone is doing who knows what. I really do not know where I am trying to get at but I am going to try and help you guys understand.

A concept that is hard for me to grab is that Life Goes On. No matter what. If you do not get that job you wanted, you lose that boy/girl in your life, you loose friends whatever the case may be life goes on. That job you didn't get, someone else got. That friend you lost is making new friends, that girl/boy you broke up with is getting themselves a new girl/boy. So my question to you is. WHY WORRY ABOUT OTHERS?

Now of course that sounds a little selfish but aren't we all selfish in some way shape or form. We as people are constantly worried about ourselves. I do not think that its a problem at all but a person that dedicates his or her life to service to the community because it makes them happy, they are doing what makes them HAPPY in a sense fulfilling a personal need, because if service to the community did not make them happy then they wouldn't be doing it, isn't that selfish in a way.

Now I am not trying to say we all should forget about the people that matter and the things that matter in our lives. We all should stop and think what REALLY matters?

Me personally I am at the point in my life where I'm trying to figure out my life. I'm at a VERY selfish stage in my life. I'm mainly focused on me, because if I am not no one will be. I m focused on my life after college, grades, taking care of business and things like that. Only when I have me figured out is when I will take on other things that do not pertain to just me per say. Of course I have a few constants in my life which are people that have been there from day one and will continue to be there...but then again some of those people that I thought were constants in my life are not there anymore. So basically what I am saying...Life Goes On.. You are going to go through some things that you will not like, you will be hurt, you will be set back, its how you bounce back from those set backs! Move On Fast because there is someone out there that's already taking the next step.

In light of some recent activities that took place in my life i decided to blog about friendship, which is the MOST important aspect of my life, because without my FRIENDS I woulnt be where I am, or who I am today. People often say they do not need anyone in their life, and that they got to where they at by themselves, that is NOT true and you have to be a dumb motherFu*cka to believe that. EXCUSE MY FRENCH. After reading this I hope you alll have a better understanding on what a true friend is, because lets be honest, true friends are RARE!

How can we find true friendship in this often phony, temporary world? Friendship involves recognition or familiarity with another's personality. Friends often share likes and dislikes, interests, pursuits, and passion.

How can we recognize potential friendship? Signs include a mutual desire for companionship and perhaps a common bond of some kind. Beyond that, genuine friendship involves a shared sense of caring and concern, a desire to see one another grow and develop, and a hope for each other to succeed in all aspects of life. True friendship involves action: doing something for someone else while expecting nothing in return; sharing thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or negative criticism.

True friendship involves relationship. Those mutual attributes we mentioned above become the foundation in which recognition transpires into relationship. Many people say, "Oh, he's a good friend of mine," yet they never take time to spend time with that "good friend." Friendship takes time: time to get to know each other, time to build shared memories, time to invest in each other's growth.

Trust is essential to true friendship. We all need someone with whom we can share our lives, thoughts, feelings, and frustrations. We need to be able to share our deepest secrets with someone, without worrying that those secrets will end up on the Internet the next day! Failing to be trustworthy with those intimate secrets can destroy a friendship in a hurry. Faithfulness and loyalty are key to true friendship. Without them, we often feel betrayed, left out, and lonely. In true friendship, there is no backbiting, no negative thoughts, no turning away.

True friendship requires certain accountability factors. Real friends encourage one another and forgive one another where there has been an offense. Genuine friendship supports during times of struggle. Friends are dependable. In true friendship, unconditional love develops. We love our friends no matter what and we always want the best for our friends.

Real and true friendship involves freedom of choice, accountability, truth, and forgiveness. Peter and Jesus give us this example: Peter, afraid for his life after Jesus is led away from the Garden of Gethsemane, denies knowing Jesus (John 18). As He is led away by His accusers, Jesus casts a look toward Peter that says, "I knew you would deny Me, and I forgive you" (John 21).

Real friendship looks at the heart, not just the "packaging." Genuine friendship loves for love's sake, not just for what it can get in return. True friendship is both challenging and exciting. It risks, it overlooks faults, and it loves unconditionally, but it also involves being truthful, even though it may hurt. Genuine friendship, also called "agape" love, comes from the Lord. The Lord Jesus calls us His friends and He laid down His life for us (John 15).

Relationships in real life involve different levels of friendships, and that's okay. But humans are designed by God for lasting relationships. Often our isolationist society offers only vague, empty relationships. God wants us to have friends here on earth. Most of all, He wants us to be friends with Him!

So I looked up the word "party" and here is what I got.

1 : a person or group taking one side of a question, dispute, or contest
2 : a group of persons organized for the purpose of directing the policies of a government
3 : a person or group participating in an action or affair
4 : a particular individual : person
5 : a detail of soldiers
6 : a social gathering; also : the entertainment provided for it

I Love to party.. i mean lets be honest! I look forward to my weekends! and sometimes even my thursdays who doesnt? But when does partying become a distraction, when does partying become a cancer in your life....my answer to that is simple..WHEN YOU LET PARTYING DRIVE YOUr THOUGHTS. Yes, on the weekends, I am always looking for where the party is at... I mean I am a Bruh (Alpha) and not even that I am a sophmore in college, still experiencing life, still love life still want to have fun and LIVE...now some of you, your definition of living life doesnt involve @DJBANDCAMP and drink specials at Madfrog...and that SOLELY is not what I consider living life also, but it is a part of it.

We all mature at different rates and in different ways. We all hang with different crowds. With that being said, the crowed you hang out with, and the crowed I hang out with may have, and most likely have two different definitions of what being "mature" is. If you can party 7 days a week and get your work done, then that's whats up. MAN get your work done, go hard during the week so that you can kick it hard on the weekends! POINT BLANK. When partying starts to take over your life though, it is time for a reality check.

I am not going to lie, for me there are only 3 things that I would die for. And those three things were the top three things that put most of my daily attention into. was it the same three things for you?

Today i learned a new phrase called ENERGY SUCKERS. Energy suckers are people in your life, or things in your life that take up all your energy so that you have no time or energy for the real people and real things in your life. Example, you have a test to study for, but you spent the whole day "kickin" it and shopping at the mall with someone that you normally do not even hang out with, they are an ENERGY SUCKER. You are giving all your time to people and things in your life that DON'T MATTER. We all have energy suckers and we all give in to those energy suckers from time to time, but how often?

I must admit i am enjoying the college life and being a college student so all this may make me sound like a hypocrite but i am not...my energy suckers and yours might be two different things. we as people need to get out of the "noise of today" and do what we want to do for OURSELVES because at the ends of the day no one is going to take care of us except us.

Now back to the ENERGY SUCKERS. who do you surround your self with? Do you associate yourself with people that are like you? Better than you? or Worse than you? or Even striving to be you? You are the company you keep! its ok to hang out with all those types of people I just named? But all of those types of people COLLECTIVELY. You can't just hang out with people that are better than you, because, yes you will strive to be better, but you will have no one looking up to you striving to be like you. You have to know where you have been, to know where you are going. You also cant hang around people that are worse than you doing nothing with their lives because wheres your motivation to do better. There has to be a balance. I must say, I have surrounded my self with some HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL people, and it starts with my mother. Stop and think...who are the ENERGY SUCKERS in your life.

Stay optimistic, keep your head up, and walk around like you the shit, but be humble at the same time...I know who got me here and I only hope to be better than them

Alright so apparently I come off as an aggressive speaker. When people are talking to me they feel as if I am angry..When in reality, IM NOT lol. It takes a lot to make me really mad. ALOT i do not get mad often, annoyed yes...but Annoyance only lasts for minutes, usually 2 minutes after the situation takes place I have moved on. So if you see me on campus, say WHAT UP haha I am a nice person, unless it is well known that I dont like you....and its very few people that I dont like.

Problem is, when face to face or having a conversation I dont always get my point accross, or say everything I wana say.. When people dream they are not fully conscious but they are in a semi-conscious state where they have absolutely no control over their thoughts and expressions. I found out that most of us spend six years or more of our lifetime dreaming. There has been research that proves that all of us dream at least twice or more in our sleep though we may not remember when we get up. In 5 minutes of waking, half of our dream is forgotten and within 10 minutes, almost all dreams are forgotten. People who are blind from birth too dream. It is just that the dreams of these individuals are formed by other sense such as the touch, smell, sound and taste.

Cleveland Cavs Head Coach MIKE BROWN FIRED??

It was announced Monday morning that the Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach Mike Brown. After five season with the Cavs, Coach Brown had a record of 314-177. Brown also made the playoffs every season as the head coach including a trip to the NBA Finals.

Now you would think the Cavs having Lebron James (who is arguably one of the best if not the best player in the NBA right now) Shaq and the addition of Jamison that they would be major contenders in the league this year. They finished the season with the number one record in the whole NBA, and Lebron won MVP AGAIN! Although all that happened it was not enough. The Cleveland Cavaliers once again let the city of Cleveland down.

I am a HUGE Cleveland fan, I was born and raised in Cleveland and till this day I would argue with ANYONE that Lebron James is a better player then KOBE, because the fact of the matter is, he is a better player. The stats prove it! I am a numbers guy, I do numbers. If you do not believe me check the NUMBERS..yes he has more rings..BUT how many years did it take Kobe to win one..also Kobe had the COACH and SHAQ he did not do it all by himself..but I digress

My question to you is...Do you feel that Mike Brown being fired was a good idea? and Because Mike Brown got fired will that give Lebron more incentive to stay in Cleveland or will it further convince him to leave?

My thoughts on the situation are simple. Brown was a great coach...defensively...when it came to offense Mike Brown did not know what he was talking about AT ALL. I watched games where the whole team was standing around and watching Lebron...what kinda offense is that. My high school basketball team ran better offense than that. I feel that getting rid of Brown was a great decision, now the question is who will fill his shoes!? Lebron is not leaving Cleveland..he will stay in Cleveland without a doubt in my mind (Lebron fan or not) Cleveland is on their way to winning a championship it takes time, they have made necessary steps to get them on the right track, and the firing of Brown was a great move.

Miss Black & Gold Purpose

The Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant is a competition to promote the beauty, skill, elegance, academic, and all around talent among minority college women. Contestants will compete for a cash scholarship in five categories. The contestants will also be required to complete community service prior to the pageant and are expected to represent the Fraternity’s ideals of scholarship, manly deeds and love for all mankind. The winner of the pageant will have the opportunity to compete at the district, regional, and national levels. The duties of Miss Black and Gold are to represent and support the chapter and give back to the community.

Was good yall? So today in my class we had a guest speaker, and I was talking to her and she said that I should start a blog. So I did.

I do not quite know what to talk about but I am going to start by introducing myself.

My name is Andre Eanes, I was born in Cleavland Ohio and raised in a suburb of Cleveland called Strongsville. My parents are divorced and my mom works hard to put me and my TWIN brother through college. I would like to say growing up I was very fortunate and my mom made me what I am today.

I am currently a Sophomore at the University of Cincinnati for those of you that don't know. I am also a member of UBSA and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity INC. Chapter DOUBLE A.

I am currently in LOVE with my life, and am very self focused I guess you can say. I am in the process of trying to figure out what I want to do with my life and where I want to go.
