I have always had dry skin and have used bottles of lotion to keep my “Arizona” feet (especially heels) from cracking as we hardly wear anything but sandals in this state. I began layering the essential oils that my body was “calling for”, then topping it all with Message Oil. It has been nearly 2 years since I had cracked heels or dry skin.

Essential Oils Botanically & Biochemically Defined

What is the difference between your Essential Oils and other companies Essential Oils?  I get asked about this a lot and Yes, there is a difference in ForeverGreen and other Essential Oils Other Oils in the US do not have Lot & Batch numbers on the bottles. The Essential Oils that we purchase are from vendors that have been approved and a Lot representative sample is reviewed of each lot before it is purchased. We must know the Country of Origin and the botanical species of the essential oil in order to evaluate it. Different plant varieties & geographical location will result in differences of the essential oil composition. We define the different types or species of the essential oils with separate item numbers. We test every lot by running on the GC, FID and GCMS, to know the chemical composition and to ensure it is All Natural. We do physical tests as for odor, refractive index, specific gravity, optical rotation and closed cup flashpoint. Each oil has ranges that are acceptable and must be the range for approval. The oil from a plant species and geographical location has certain characteristics; we test the oil to insure it is 100% Pure & Natural and that we maintain a consistent quality. There is natural variation that is always present when dealing with a natural product. The testing is done to make sure our customers will receive the same quality to use in their products. We have lot traceability of our products, due to most of them being used in multiple areas, as cosmetics, aroma therapy and the food industry. The food industry uses GMP(Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines and they have to have lot traceability for their products. This is a part of our Quality System.

Household Headaches Solved!
Pain Trigger: Disinfectant Wipes

Sure its convenient to clean surfaces with pre-moistened wipes and disinfectant sprays, but many contain chemicals like phenol and ammonia that cause eye, skin and lung irritation, warns Linda Mason Hunter, coauthor of Green Clean (Melcher Media).

The natural alternative:

RECIPE:  Disinfectant – Without Chemical Toxins

• 2 cups filtered/distilled water
• 2 Tbs liquid dish soap [ForeverGreen Housekeeper]
• 10 – 20 drops Tea Tree
  

Mix well in a spray bottle.
Keep on hand to disinfect surfaces anytime.

The Tea Tree oil’s terpenoids have powerful antiseptic and antifungal properties.

Whether you have a self-cleaning oven or not, chances are, at some point, you’ve got to clean some or all of an oven without the benefit of the self-cleaning feature!  I don’t even need to warn you about the toxicity of all the commercial oven cleaners – the warnings are all over the containers!

See below for a simple, easy, inexpensive, non-toxic way to clean your oven!
Powerhouse Oven Cleaner -RECIPE

• 1 cup or more baking soda
• Squirt Bottle of Water with 5 – 10 drops TRUessence Lemon oil or Orange oil mixed in
• A squirt or two of House Keeper liquid concentrate with TRUessence Lemon oil or Orange oil mixed in
  

Spray water generously over the bottom of the oven, then cover the grime with enough baking soda that the surface is totally white.

Spray more water over the top.

Let the mixture set overnight.

You can easily wipe up the grease the next morning
because the grime will have loosened.

When you have cleaned up the worst of the mess, dab  a bit of liquid detergent or soap on a sponge, and wash the remaining residue from the oven. (If this recipe doesn’t
work for you it may be because you didn’t use enough baking soda and/or water.)

Sparkling Bathrooms Without The Toxic Chemicals

It use to be that when my housekeeper would come to clean each week, I would have to open up all the doors and windows to my house (even in the dead of winter) to air out the toxic fumes as quickly as possible. My home smelled like a chemical lab, and the chemicals gave me headaches, made me extremely nauseous and tired!

The good news is that we can each make changes, there are simple, easy, inexpensive, non-toxic alternatives – my housekeeper now uses them – and we’re sharing them all with you!

See below for some great ideas and recipes! 
RECIPE

My Favorite CREAM SOFT SCRUB

• ½ C baking soda
• 2 T  ForeverGreen House Keeper biodegradable, non toxic household cleaning concentrate
• 1 – 2 T water (to dilute to consistency you would like to work with)
• 2 – 4 drops TRUessence Essential Oil of choice (Orange, Lemon, Tea Tree, Peppermint)
• 1 tsp vegetable glycerin

Add baking soda into a wide mouth jar; add enough liquid detergent, essential oils and vegetable glycerin to create to make a texture like frosting.

Apply enough of the mixture as needed onto a sponge, and wash the surface.

This is the perfect recipe for cleaning bathtubs and sinks – it rinses easily and doesn’t leave grit.

NOTE: the vegetable glycerin will help to keep the cleaner moist. Increase proportions and make a large batch, keeping it in each bath room, kitchen and other areas where convenience would help – or just make as much as you need at any one time.

I love this ‘soft scrub’ for all the sinks, tubs and scrub-able areas in the house!

RECIPE: Non-Toxic Dishwashing

HAND WASHING

Keep a clean dispenser of diluted ForeverGreen House Keeper with several drops of Tea Tree,  Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange or Guardian Blend to support effective cleaning and to kill bacteria.

DISHWASHER

A few drops (6 – of essential oils may be added to the dispenser of your home dishwasher will help disinfect and purify. That way the family won’t pass around ‘bugs’, germs or bacteria. Most dishwashers don’t clean with enough hot water for long enough to truly disinfect. Some of our favorite oils to use are Scotch Pine, Eucalyptus Globulus, Lemon, or Guardian Blend.

HOME-MADE DISWASHER SOAP – a simple non-toxic alternative

Mix equal parts Borax and Baking Soda and store in a tightly sealed container

Use 2 tablespoons per load

Add 6 – 8 drops Eucalyptus Globulus, Lemon, or Guardian Blend.

NOTE: If you have hard water, double the amount of baking soda in your mixture.
Add vinegar to the dispenser for the rinse cycle.

Many dishwasher detergents contain dry chlorine, dyes and artificial fragrances, all activated when dissolved in water, and dispersed through your home when steam leaks from your dishwasher. Make a simple change to non-toxic home care products! Little things DO matter!

• Drop a few drops of Lemon, Scotch Pine or Balsam Fir in the mop bucket with a squirt of ForeverGreen Housekeeper Cleaning Concentrate for cleaning floors and wood around the house.
  

Contrast the health benefits of the above recipe to the fact that 1 gallon of PineSol has enough chemically derived phenol to kill an adult 3 times over!

Toxic chemical phenols are oily, so believe it or not, they’re easily absorbed through the feet after mopping, etc.

The residue hangs around, is absorbed through your skin, and is especially bad if you’re using it without gloves, as your hands will instantly absorb the toxins.

I was sitting at my desk just now, perusing an email I’d written and had my assistant Angela send out, (and wondering why the formatting goes funky sometimes), when I look up at the email that came into my Inbox immediately following my own email broadcast – literally – and the irony of its message was just too much, I had to open it!

What was the subject line that grabbed my attention? “PROTECT Against Bed Bugs”

Ironic, because I had literally just prepared several bits of information for our upcoming Home Care RECIPES eBook (releasing Tuesday) about how studies have show the effectiveness of ESSENTIAL OILS to not only eradicate, but to prevent Dust Mites, Fleas, Ticks, Ants, Spiders and bed bugs!  I just had to open this email.

What did it say?

Here is the direct copy – (minus the product name, ’cause I’m not here to promote another product, since we have essential oils that can eradicate and prevent bed bugs NATURALLY and NON-TOXICALLY – more about that at the end of this email):

You may not be able to see them: but they are there.

Provo: Remember when “sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite” was just a cute bedtime expression that didn’t mean anything? Well, those days are over. After 6 decades of living largely bed bug-free, the US is facing a national infestation.

In fact, the incidence of bed bug infestation has risen 500% in the last few years alone, and they’re not just in dirty hotels – they’re at the 5-star ones as well and swarming the public places you visit every day. Bed bugs are shutting down businesses and being found at your local movie theaters and clothing stores as they inch closer and closer to your home..

Things that go Bite in the night . . .
Bed bugs are tiny insects that rely on the blood of humans or animals to survive. As babies, they are tiny as pinheads. A full-grown adult that’s been making a nightly meal of you can balloon to the size of Lincoln’s head on the penny. These little parasites are nocturnal and hate light, so they wait until the dark to creep out for their meals, which is why it can take so long to discover you’ve been sharing your home with them.

Keep Bed Bugs OUT of your home

For too long a time, there were only a few solutions for this growing problem. Most people use pesticides or call exterminators, but those can give negative health effects and are usually costly.   END OF COPY . . .

Ok, well it’s alarming, right?

Well, the irony of it was, I had just spent a couple of hours last night writing about how EFFECTIVE and POWERFUL and PROVEN essential oils have been in the prevention and eradication of bed bugs!

So, taking this as my ‘cue from the universe’, I’m sending out this second note today. And I’m also going to give you the essential oil SOLUTIONS to Bed Bugs!

THE ESSENTIAL OIL SOLUTION TO BED BUGS!

So, knowing the bioinsecticidal properties of Scotch Pine, Balsam Fir, Eucalyptus Globulus AND the oils in Guardian Blend  - and knowing the historical uses of each (see the Home Care USAGE Guide for more info) – I am 100% convinced that these are not only SAFER to use, but that they are the superior choice for those of us who are wanting clean, pest-free homes that are also non-toxic!

Here are a couple of my own answers to bed bugs, Dust Mites, Fleas, Ticks, Ants, Spiders . . .

Dust Mite Spray

- 1 pint distilled water
- 15-20 drops Eucalyptus Globulus, Scotch Pine or Balsam Fir (or all 3!)

Add to cobalt blue spray bottle.
Shake well before each use.

Spray mattresses, pillows, curtains, upholstered furniture, soft furnishings and toys.
Let sit for 2 hours.

For safety, it’s recommended that you test a small unseen patch on delicate fabrics
before proceeding.

Bed Bug Spray & Suggested Treatments

• Keep bottles of misting spray (see recipe below) in the kitchen, in the bath, at your desk, in the car, in your suitcase, and in your purse.
• Spray in each bedroom, on bedding & mattresses between changes of linens
• In Hotel rooms, beds, phones and bathrooms, particularly to kill bed bugs.
• Spray bed and pillows.
  

Guardian Blend Misting Spray

- 4 oz blue cobalt spray bottle
- 4 oz distilled water
- 25 drops Guardian blend

Shake well, use as indicated above.

SUCCESS STORY – Cleaner Than Ever!

Oh My Gosh…

I just love the Glass & Window Cleaner Sparkling Clean! recipe I got from the TRUessence Home Care Pack RECIPE eBook! (see below for recipe – eBook will be released Tues, April 17th)

This is the best thing I have ever used…ever!

I am even using this to clean my eyeglasses. I use micro-fiber cloths for all my cleaning and I still had residue, streaks etc.

RECIPE

Glass & Window Cleaner Sparkling Clean!

• 1/4-1/2 teaspoon ForeverGreen House Keeper liquid concentrate
• 3 tablespoons white vinegar
• 2 cups water
• 10 drops TRUessence balsam fir
  

Add each of the ingredients into a spray bottle, shake gently, and use as you would a
commercial brand.

NOTE: The little bit of House Keeper is important. It cuts the wax residue from the commercial brands you might have used in the past, and adds an element of viscosity to the cleaner. Using newsprint newspaper instead of paper towels actually will cut grease and add an additional element of sparkle to the glass that’s being cleaned.

SUCCESS STORY – I LOVE My Non-Toxic Cleaning Stuff!

Housekeeper is my go-to cleaner for most everything around my home!
It works great without any nasty chemicals or smelly fumes.

I purchased several commercial 32+ ounce plastic spray bottles.
I fill them with my Housekeeper and essential oils, at different dilutions, and then I have labeled them.
One is Kitchen; one is Glass, one Bathroom, one General, etc.

I follow the instructions for mixing that is on bottle of Housekeeper Concentrate,
and I add a TRUessence Oil to the mix depending on the purpose of the bottle.

Kitchen and Glass have Lemon Oil, Bathroom has Guardian, and General I have fun with maybe some Sweet Orange or Pink Grapefruit.

I have so much fun and we all enjoy the clean and the wonderful smell of TRUessence essential oils too!

Jan’s AMAZING Liver Care Success

Last summer I had the unfortunate experience of contracting a horrible rash all over my body after visiting a health spa for what I thought was going to be a relaxing afternoon and a special treat. Boy was I in for a surprise!

I’m not sure if the reaction was caused by the products used during my massage, or the bath product that I purchased (which was supposed to relax me and aid in sleeping). Nonetheless, I ended up with an awful red rash and a terrible itching sensation all over my body.

It lasted for WEEKS! No relief.  I finally went to see a dermatologist.

Upon visiting a dermatologist and undergoing a battery of tests which included a plug from my leg (for a biopsy to make sure nothing more serious was going on), I was informed that they could find NOTHING!! UGH!

I was sent to the drugstore with a handful of prescriptions which did absolutely NOTHING but waste my money.

Thank God I found Lorene when I did and she suggested the Liver Care Program every morning. Within days, literally, of using the Liver Care Program, the rash was completely GONE! I could not believe my eyes.

Daniel is severely autistic, does not speak, but does say the odd word once in a blue moon.

After taking half a teaspoon of FrequenSea for two weeks, Daniel started to make word sounding noises and came out with some new clear words.
