In this behind-the-scenes video, join me on a spontaneous large format photography adventure where I collaborated with friends and a talented makeup artist, Aleetha, to capture classic and moody images. I'll take you through the entire creative process, from setting up the single light source to choosing between color and black and white film, including Portra 400 and Ilford HP5 in both 4x5 and medium format with my trusty Bronica.

I'll also confess to indulging in a bit of digital photography just for the fun of it. Sometimes, you can't resist the allure of modern technology!

PLATINUM PALLADIUM PRINTING : THE ART OF THE PROCESS

A year ago I visited a long time photographer friend of mine, Roberto Aguilar @photoaguilar, in London to experience first hand the unique and detailed process of platinum palladium printing. I joined him in his lab @rjprintlab and observed him over a couple of days as he printed two of my photographs using this intricate technique. These prints are very special because platinum and palladium are noble metals and are resistant to oxidation - meaning that they have the ability to last forever. Tips to keep your email clean in 2014

2014 Clean Inbox, Clean computer.

After may years working in photography and having my own business I have found some difficulties trying to keep up with all the information coming in (Email, social media, Blogs etc etc) For the past years I've been trying to figure out how to handle all this information that get us overwhelm, sometimes sitting in the computer getting distracted by all the junk mail we got every day. After my journey looking for answers and tools to help me solve this problem I found Inboxzero (is not a software,)

Inbox-zero is a strategy created by Merlin Mann and is kind of based on "get things done" by David Allen on how to handle all your incoming email I have been implementing this for the last year and is been working great I still have to make some tweaks but I found this an excellent way to handle all this information.

Yesterday I just finished cleaning up my inbox and you can't imagine the relieve you feel to have your inbox with no email is like having a new car.

I'm going to explain you what I have done the tools I use.

Basically on your inbox you store all your emails so if you get 20 - 50 emails or more a day you get lost and you believe your inbox is your todo list and is not believe me

So here is what I did.

Step 1

Create a 3 folders Action folder, Filed folder and Later folder.

Step 2

Dump all the emails that you actually have on your inbox to the filed folder. This can be done on any email interface I use Apple mail but you can do it in outlook, hotmail, yahoo mail etc.

Step 3 Process your inbox.

Once you clean up you inbox and is empty. you are going to start getting emails, the idea is to process the emails 2 times a day It could be in the morning or in the evening also if you don't don't have time during the week you can do it on friday. Try to keep your inbox clean.

Here is how I process my email

Step 4 Review your ACTION FOLDER

At the end of the day check your action folder and Do what ever is pending once is done move the current email to the filed folder.

Step 5 Weekly review.

At the end of the week make sure to clean all your folders (Action, Later and inbox). The only one that keeps the rest is the Filed.
