I am always looking for ways to increase my productivity. A few months ago I would work all day and at the end of the day I’d look back and think about everything I got done… some days I looked back at the day and was shocked at how little I got done.

I knew something had to change so I went out searching for better ways to be productive and better ways to manage my time. Now a few months later, I am much more productive and am going to share 5 ways that YOU can also increase your productivity.

Productivity Tip #1. Be Focused And Stay Focused

One thing that I have learned is that nothing will waste more time than not knowing what to do. When you are unfocused and do not have specific tasks that you need to get done, you usually waste a whole lot of time on worthless tasks.

Understand what you need to daily. What works best for me is writing a “to-do” list so I am always focused on a certain task.

Productivity Tip #2. Determine When You Are MOST Productive

This is something that has really helped me. Determine when you are most productive. For me, it’s usually right after lunch. At that time, you should do your most important tasks (usually the ones that will produce you the most income).

Usually I will be building new campaigns or doing some other income producing task.

Save the other tasks that do not really generate you income (but are still required to run your business) during your unproductive hours.

Productivity Tip #3. Stop Trying To Do Everything At Once

I love learning, and everyone in internet marketing knows there is boat loads to learn. But too many people get stuck on this…

They try to learn everything and do everything at once.

That is something that I commonly see with “newbies”, especially when they get stuck on all the “guru crap” out there. They buy everything under the sun.

They actually are never fully able to commit to anything because the next week the new big guru course comes out, they buy it.

Stop doing that. Concentrate on one thing. You don’t need to use ten different methods to make money. You can use one method and bank off it.

Productivity Tip #4. Determine When You Are LEAST Productive

Just as you determined when you are most productive, now it’s time to determine when you are least productive.

I am least productive when I am surfing time-wasting sites, like Reddit, Facebook, etc. (woah, who would have guessed that?!)

So how do you get away from going on those time-wasting sites? Self-control would be one of the best ways.

But if you are unable to do that, there is a great plugin out there called LeechBlock.

Productivity Tip #5. Come Up With A Plan And Stick To It

Something that really helped me is coming up with a “productivity plan”.

For me, I came across Pomodoro Technique. Here’s how it works:

Choose a task to be accomplished

Set the Pomodoro to 25 minutes (the Pomodoro is the timer)

Work on the task until the Pomodoro rings, then put a check on your sheet of paper

Take a short break (5 minutes is OK)

Every 4 Pomodoros take a longer break

I know that may sound strange, but it works.

I used a program called Pomodairo that really helps me track all of this and keep track of my time.

I hope these 5 tips were helpful and will help you increase your productivity and time management!
