Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded

An old RPG which I never really heard before but it is out from the past time for Playstation, here we have a remake of Growlanser IV but with some extended version for the PSP. The Playstation 1 era was Growlanser, then comes to the Playstation 2 era for Growlanser 2, Growlanser 3, Growlanser 4, Growlanser 5 and Growlanser 6. The remake currently for PSP is the first title from Playstation. They had come out with a special collection too. If there's so many sequel for this RPG may I know why it is not localize to N.A.? PSN Japan was down until now. I'm not sure if my PSP setting was right or not since I'm using PSP to download all the awesome promotion video. I can assure that the regular page that I download using PSP has been terminated. Which means now the only place I can download is PSN. BUT.... I can't access to PSN Japan. Which means no video from now on. (Period). SHIT.... If anyone can enlighten me...

DAMN MY PC HDD going to die out soon. Need to get another new HDD now. BTW I'm not sure why this game is called The Little Battler where the title of the game is actually called "DanBoru SenKi". Anyway this is the same company that brings you White Knight Chronicle 1 and the sequel and the PSP version too.

I was really impressed with this upcoming MEGA project by LEVEL 5 where they are coming out with model, anime, game and manga.

Few question for you :-

1) Are you a fanatic fan of Monster Hunter?
2) Do you bring along your PSP just for the sake of catching up 15 minutes of Monster Hunter?
3) Did you clock up a MINIMUM of 200 hour for Monster Hunter?

If all of the question above is a YES to you (and me), congratulation. You are certified a Monster Hunter fanatic like me. Well just defeated Alatreon (or Albatoreon in Japanese, which is WAY MORE COOL than English name). I defeated it on MHP3rd version, not the Wii version. You can read more on Alatreon from other page cos I'm not going to write out all the specs of her. In fact just want to share how I defeat that freaking hard monster (well not that hard actually just annoying).

At first few attempts I use Ancient Lance and Ancient SnS ( don't ask me where I found it, I'm sure you know) but found out that the Ancient Lance was too slow (but deal much damage) and Ancient SnS does more elemental than attack. So here it goes of what I use.

Jhen Mohran full upgrade SnS
Damasku set armor full upgrade gem with sharpness and lighting resistant.
20 MegaPotion, 4 Ancient Potion, 10 Meat and Fish(optional with Eggs), and all the basic stuff that you need to fight a monster. I miss out flash bomb and some of the seed (thunder, ice and fire seed).

I like to fight it fair and square, so sometimes is depends on your luck on how Alatreon reacts. No sleep bomb, no flash bomb. Read the moves and you can evade most of the attack and find your chance to slice her. I found out each of every opening, I can only deal 4 times of attacks (max is 8). Full chain of attacks can be performed when she's up on the air with her legs pointing on the ground.

First attempt is under 35 min. So hope can improve my time by under 30 minutes. All I can say is two thumbs up for this game. Of course there are guides and ways for you to defeat her even more effectively (from what I saw is Sleep bomb her), but I'll pass. As long you can defeat her that's all matters to me. I'm not in a competition on how fast you can kill her.

No N.A. version is released yet (I think is coming out only when they have 3rdG version for Japanese announced), so if you can't wait much longer get your PSP and PS3 version now. I'll be getting PS3 version soon (not yet pre-order) so I can fight with others worldwide. Hope my ISP will be stable all the time when I hunt.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon

The latest Ace Combat series that I'd play on the console and portable was Ace Combat 6 and Ace Combat Joint Assault. Is been awhile when I'd been introduce to Ace Combat series when I got my hand on my PS2. Anyway have a look at the video yourself. Mass improvement with the graphics and gameplay. You should not miss this out.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver.

FYI I was still busy with the PSP version when this thing struck out to our shore later August. WTF I asked myself. Now should I complete this from PSP or PS3? This is just so tempting. At last PS3 has another port version of Monster Hunter series (though I wish they are coming out with another new title). So what are you waiting for? Get this remastered version or if you can't wait just hunt on the PSP version first since you can transfer the save files between PSP and PS3.

Bleach: Soul Ignition

In Japanese is called Soul Ignition. For N.A. version is called Soul Resurreccion. Anyway is a same game. Now I was trying to watch this anime, but I'm not sure when to start. Street Fighter X Tekken (Update)

Let see. How many cross-title does Capcom has on their fighting game? We have SNK vs. Capcom previously, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Marvel vs. Capcom. Now Capcom is crossing their path in fighting series with Namco (well don't misunderstand with Namco X Capcom[spells as Cross]). This is another cross platform but not the fighting series, is a SLG type just like SuperRobot Taisen series.

This is why they call it Street Fighter X Capcom (is Cross ok?) for PS3 and Xbox360. Using the same engine from their previous best selling SF4 engine, this is a must-have for all you fighting fans out there.

Confirmed are :

From SF : Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Abel, Cammy, Sagat and Guile.

From Tekken : Kazuya, Nina, Bob, Marduk, Julia, Hwoarang and King.

If my listening in Japanese are quite ok, from the second video 0:22 Kazuya mentioned 'Can you hear me Jin?' Which means Jin Kazama is joining the rooster too. My assumption for the storyline would be after Tekken 6 tournament where 'somehow' Tekken people cross-path with SF guys.

My prediction of this game's available player : SF is Zangief, Mr. Bison (or Vega you call it in N.A), Crimsom Viper. And for the Tekken side is Steve, Law, Yoshimitsu and maybe Raven too.

UPDATE : Saw the female on the third video on 2:38? I guess is a Namco character. Not sure who.

Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Masou Kishin - The Lord of Elemental

This is also one of my recently 'done' game for NDS. Is a remake from the original NES version. Well not bad I should say. Is really different from any other SuperRobot Taisen that you'd play before. Some claim it that this is one of the few 'gems' of SRT series. Is quite challenging as all the movement and attack depends on where you're facing (3D gameplay) and how much damage you make depends on which element you are. After playing this, you should have different approach in playing future/present SRT games. 4 ending in this game (I obtained the happy ending), with some familiar faces in Original SRT series, you should not miss this out. Get it here.

Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection

Now I haven't done with the NDS version of this remake and this PSP version is out. So unless I'm done with NDS version I will not play PSP version. I'd reach level 57 but still is kinda hard to play. Well is challenging but sometimes frustrated too. Anyway cut the crap.

I should say the story was good and suspense. Playing until the middle part on how they want to collect the crystal to defeat Baron while the little two mages, Bard and the Kungfu guy going down one by one is really touching.

What so good about this PSP version? Well REMAKE of course and the best part is there's another side story after FFIV event that previously only on WiiWare. Now is COMPLETE under one UMD. The best part? IS FREAKING CHEAP!!! Selling only USD28.50 for this new game. Where can you find it? Of course only in Play-Asia! Secure your copy now.
