Coool.

Okay so I've had this phone for about a year.In my opinion it's a trooper.I had spilt canola oil on the screen and except for darkening the screen,it worked fine.I'm very clumsy so naturally I dropped it ALOT,and except for the paint chipping a bit it worked lovely.The Cons are that it freezes if you overwork it or the graphics are a bit poor but otherwise it's great!I love my little trooper <3

Reality is really a great phone for the money

While Verison doesn't offer this phone anymore, I would highly recommend it. When we ordered it they offered it with the $10 limited data package. It works great in this capacity.

A very good & an awesom phone. The guy i bought it from was generous enough to get this phone for me. The first time I was not able to get it activated so I returned the phone & it was replaced generously & now i am enjoying using the phone & still getting use to it & learning about it. I would recomend this phone to anybody that wants to get a cool phone.

OTHER PHONES I COULD NOT GET A SIGNAL MOST OF THE TIME, BUT WITH THIS PHONE I HAVE A SIGNAL ALL THE TIME. HAS MANY FEATURES THAT I ADORE. WISH I HAD IT YEARS AGO. I GOT THE PHONE PROMPTLY FROM AMAZON WHEN ORDERED. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO PURCHASE THIS PHONE.

Bad Luck

I bought this product, but I was unlucky, and It didnt work when I got it. I live in Turkey, and there is nothing to do bcs the service told me (inturkey) that there is no warranty... Samsung /Turkey doesnt care the situation ... I wasted 200 USD :( ... Be carefull, and please buy international version with warranty...

But thanks God and AMAZON, bcs I sent the item from turkey to AMAZON.com, and Amazon accepted to pay all money that I paid. AMAZON deserves being the most popular web shopping site. Thank you AMAZON. Great Phone!

I think that this phone was great because of the price along with the features. It was under my $150 price limit and had many things that I could do on it such as edit my pictures with many features involved such as cartoon, and warp it in very different ways. I really liked the camera as well as the touch screen because it was very sensitive and there was no difficulty at all. My finger glided on the surface and the phone reacted with great response.

Pros: Many features such as Wifi, GPS, camera, Google, Social media on the menu, and many apps.

Cons: The only thing that I didn't really like when I bought this phone was that there was no Qwerty keypad which made my texting a little more difficult, but I could manage.

Overall, it was a great phone!

A very good Android mobile for begginers

I paid $120 for this mobile as i wanted to try Android mobile, I had a touch mobile but that was on a windows OS. This one is clearly better and is good for beginners. It has a good sensitive touch screen, not too large or too small.I connected it to my home wireless internet and it connected finrr, he browser and gadgets installed are good enough. we cant compare it with IPHONE or High end touch mobiles though. I would say really worth the money.

battery life is not that long.

The cell phone is easy to use. Design is fashion. But the battery life is not as long as description. I don't use the phone often, just make call and answer call, about 10 times a day. I have to charge it every other day.

So Far so good

I needed a phone that I could use when traveling to Europe. So GSM was the requirement. I had been using a Droid on Verizon's network. I do like the Android OS better. However this phone has a lot of features for a low price. The WIFI lets me get online or check my email when near a hotspot without having to have a data plan. I really like the lock button on the side of the phone because my droid kept calling people randomly when the screen did not lock. The phone arrived promptly and I have yet to travel to Europe to verify that it will work with a network there, but I am quite sure it will.

I bought this cellphone unlocked because i need it to use it in the US with a sim card form Argentina, and then when i travel there it "would work", im complete happy with it, it works even better than what i thought, its easy to use, the touch screen is very fast, nice camera, i love the "lock key" in one of the side as my last cellphone was always calling people from my contact list.... I was surprised how light weight the cellphone is, i complete love it :)

Not So Connected

I love the features of the phone. It works well. It has a great battery life. So I am not totally disappointed, and I will keep the phone. But, I can already see that I will end up getting something else that has more social netowrking capabilities. The phone is equipped with apps like facebook and twitter, but I have to constantly log on to the site to be notified of any updates. I am use to my other phone that had notifications sent to my phone anytime I had a request or a message from any website. The phone doesn't link to facebook contacts or calender. My instant messaging applications are always logging themselves off and it doesn't alert me if someone sends me a message. I find the phone actually to be sort of basic. It is no where near up to par as social networking can be. It has a foward facing camera, but no applications like skype or google talk that actually work with it. I am going to China, and staying connected with people back home is important. This phone doesn't garantee that at all.

I like the phone. It's made of plastic water bottles, has solar panels, and offers some other cool "green" features. As far as the phone itself goes it's very average. The solar panels do work but i've left it in the sun for an hour and barely gotten any kind of a charge from it. Everything else is really just par for the course for what a phone is supposed to do. It's a fine phone but way over priced. If you appreciate it for its "green" efforts than maybe it's worth it to you, that's why i bought it and am fine with the price.

Great phone, but unlocked had no internet on AT&T

I really loved the phone but the unlocked version couldn't get internet through AT&T. I suspect this is yet another ploy by the mega company to force us to buy the AT&T version of the phone. I really did love the phone though. Bummer.

Great phone

It is quite difficult for the lay-person to figure out this "will it work on AT&T 3G" thing. As another reviewer stated, the phone as advertised will not work on AT&T 3G. However, the phone I purchased is actually sold through Wireless Experts. A day after the order was submitted, I received an email from Wireless Experts asking me to call them. I called and was informed asked if my intention was to use this phone with AT&T, to which my reply was, Yes. The person at Wireless Experts told me the difference between the phones--which basically Amazon lists, but if you don't know what to exactly look for, then you won't know the difference (as I didn't). So, Wireless Experts upgraded my order to a Nexus S that is compatible with AT&T's 3G network--and a white one at that!

About the phone, as the title of the review states, it is a great phone. The lack of a MicroSD card slot is really not as bad as what I thought it would be. The majority of files I would put on the phone would be music and pictures -- movies are reserved for my tablet. The phone is easily root-able as well as being easy to unlock the bootloader. If rooting your phone is your thing, and you happen to want to adjust processor speed, one thing I found out while using the SetCPU app (my use is for down-clocking the processor when the screen is off to help save battery) -- well, if you set a profile to down-clock the processor for screen off, DO NOT set the processor to its lowest setting in the profile settings. Doing so will cause your phone not to come back on when you attempt to turn the screen back on and you will have to remove and reinsert the battery to get the phone to come back on. I initially thought I had a defective phone and actually had an RMA set to return the phone, when I found out this little item by accident -- but at the right time! If you use the app, set the processor to 400MHz (400000 on the slider).

The rest of the phone is standard Google fare. If you've had any Android phone before this, then this one is no different except for the fact that there is no manufacturer apps or user interface on the phone -- just plain Android, and I like that. Hopefully you would too.

charger 240-110 for me is good because i over seas

Android OS going to open a lot of options to you ,you can only buy cheap apps from Amazon

VS IPhone I will say I saved up to 400$ + more fun + I dont have to buy thing from samsung or others I am free to choose what i whant, not as ApL they force to bay ( Itune ,I....,I,,,) .

BEWARE, ONLY WORKS WITH T-MOBILE 3G NOT AT&T

While the phone was unlocked as advertised, it ONLY WORKS WITH T-MOBILE 3G SERVICE. If you are using AT&T, you will be STUCK WITH EDGE. The company would NOT even respond to my inquiry about returning the product. All communication was going fine back and forth with the company until I asked about their return policy, at which time they would not even return my email.

ONLY BUY IF USING WITH T-MOBILE.

I9000 Galaxy S 16GB

This phone is great, I bought a Addected to Phones, and it's great, the version sent to me is Asian, and brings the Asian languages also includes the U.S. English and UK English, I've been testing it only a day and have not experienced failures has detected my SIM with no problems, has a great screen, is very light, not heavy or sit practically, has excellent sound, the headphones are more comfortable than my N85 but I wish it had buttons to increase or decrease volume or change songs, the speed is impressive. The battery charge it fully and so far has not been exhausted after several hours of listening to music and surf the Internet. It has no flash but it does have the front camera. Comes with European charger but bring your adapter for U.S.. This phone has no 3G 850Mhz band. I9000DXJG4 Firmware is installed which is Android 2.1 Eclair July. 100% Recommended!

Español: Este teléfono es grandioso, lo compre a Addected to Phones, y es grandioso, la versión que me han enviado es Asiatica, y trae los idiomas asiaticos además incluye el ingles USA e ingles UK, llevo tan solo un día probandolo y no he experimentado fallos, ha detectado mi SIM sin problemas, tiene una pantalla grandiosa, es muy liviano, no pesa ni se siente practicamente, tiene un sonido excelente, los audifonos son más comodos que los de mi N85 pero me gustaría que tuviera botonos para aumentar o disminuir el volumen o cambiar las canciones, la velocidad es impresionante. La batería la cargué completamente y hasta el momento no se ha agotado después de varias horas de escuchar música y navegar en internet. No tiene flash pero sí tiene la cámara frontal. Viene con cargador Europeo pero trae su adaptador para US. Este teléfono no tiene la banda 850Mhz en 3G. Tiene instalado el Firmware I9000DXJG4 el cual es Android 2.1 Eclair de Julio. 100% Recomendado!!!

I'm hooked

I bought this for my son and an iPhone 4 for my wife as an early Christmas present. Both phones are great but I found myself always wanting to borrow my son's phone. So I got one for myself. I just prefer the bigger screen, the higher contrast of Samsung's Super AMOLED panel, removable battery, SD card slot, and the Android operating system (I have mine running Android 2.2 Froyo).

Samsung i8910 Omnia HD 8GB review

I bought this phone a couple of months ago to replace my N95 1st Gen as it seemed like a nice upgrade. It uses the same Nokia software but has 8MP cam and HD video with a huge screen 3.7". So I was excited after doing all the research and reading about the many features of the phone. So on recieving the phone the first thing I noticed was the big beautiful screen and nice looking cam on the back with a shiny piano black finish. The only thing about the appearence is maybe the silver trim around the screen it seems to kinda cheapin the phone a little but I can live with that. Testing the cam and the videos on such a bright big display is really the best I have seen on many phones, quite impressive I must say (viewing was indoors). The sound quality however is something to be desired, not impressive in the least and definetly expected alot better after paying so much for this phone. After a short time after the excitement wore off I started to notice the size of this brick I was carrying on me and it is also quite a heavy phone not something you can get used. I guess that is the price of having such a nice big screen and great 8MP cam with HD video. Another downside is outside it seems also is really difficult to see the screen even on the brightest setting, so many times I have had to look for a shady place just to be able to dial a number. The next thing is the phone does seem sluggish when trying to open up video and pics for viewing not sure if a new firmware or something may help to improve this but it is a little irritating to have to wait so long for a pic to open when your trying to show someone. All in all it is not a bad phone with good features but definetly room for improvement and over priced, I wouldn't recommend paying more than about $450 max. And now that I personally have tested it I would probably have prefered to buy something else, of course this is down to personal taste.

i8910 8GB review

This is a review for the i8910 8GB that also compares the stock phone and ROM compared to once i hacked it and flashed n203 to it

Stock ROM -

Pros:

Video Quality -(720p)

Camera - options up the ying yang. and takes great outdoor pictures

Symbian OS - because I use symtorrent and Joikuspot alot and I had an N95 before this so it is familiar.

Screen - watching videos is awesome and the widescreen effect is great on 3.7 inches of oled.

Great loud speakers

excellent capacitive sensitivity

Love the browser, form factor, and look.

8GB onboard memory.

Battery life is pretty good considering how much internet i use.

Cons:

Video Quantity - low frame rate makes the video look choppy,

Pictures aren't as sharp and clear indoors as i thought they would be.

not much free RAM with stock ROM.

Setting up email is a pain and not true PUSH.

media photo viewer loads the pics bit slow

Not much in terms of 3D games

Hacked i8910 running n203, symtorrent, joikuspot, quickoffice premier, ovi store, ect

Pros:

CONS:

Not much in terms of 3D games

Overall: I friggin love this phone, with the Custom rom i have a faster phone with double the available stock RAM. It runs nokia messaging now so i get true push email for all my email accounts. The symbian web browser is great for me because it has flash, I can use my phone as a mobile hot spot. I have an awesome screen with great colors. The video camera is now also awesome with a stable 24 fps. The picture quality has improved a little as well. I also can view or create word, excel, and PP which is also awesome.

Hacking this phone and flashing the ROM make a huge improvement upon the phones capabilities and performance. It is great for my business needs now and the video recorder and camera with TV-out and DLNA and an awesome screen make this phone great for pleasure. The speakers also work very well in my opinion.

I also recommend getting google maps because i haven't figured out how to get free voice nav with ovi maps yet.

Lousy Battery Life

Cannot use the phone, because battery life is lousy. After 4 hours of standby time and maybe three calls talk time 20 minutes battery status is almost gone. I do not recommend this phone.

Amazing phone, hampered by mediocre support

I'm using this phone for almost 6 months now, and I absolutely adore it. It's sleek, fast and packs more features and functionality than a swiss-army knife; 8MP Camera, 720P video recording (world's first ever), AMOLED 3.7 capacitive screen and 16GB of internal memory.

The hardware powering this phone is nothing short of phenomenal...it plays 720P HD content like butter, and the touch response rivals the iPhone 3GS. In fact, I even ran Quake III on this phone...yes, I'm referring to the 3D PC FPS game released by id Software back in 1999 (You need a full version of the game, a few apps and some research to do this)!

So you might ask, why does it get a 4 instead of a 5 from me? Unfortunately, as much as I love this phone I cannot ignore the shoddy support from Samsung. Firmware updates for this phone are not even released for most regions yet(the launch firmware is seriously outdated, lacks many features and bugfixes), and Samsung has done little to address buyers concerns thus far. I even went as far as to flash a different region firmware onto my phone, just to get the new fixes/features.

A big update is currently in the works, to be released by Feb 2010, aimed at addressing the complaints of disgruntled fans...but it is a bit too late now/people have already moved on to other, newer phones.

If only this phone had better support, it would have been a true winner; it's truly a pity that Samsung failed to realize the potential of this wonder device.

Outstanding Phone

First off, if you are considering buying this phone, BUY IT. One of the best buys I ever made. This phone is packed FULL of USEFUL features. I have had it for two months down i cant put it down, i use it as an mp3 player, a digital camera, to record movies, to call and write texts easily. The fact that you can type on it so easily, and take pictures makes it perfect for taking notes in class. Its a perfect fusion of a Media phone and a Smart Phone.

Not to mention its very durable. I dropped it accidentally from five feet and it fell screen down onto some rocks, and the scratch resistant screen worked perfectly, leaving it just as beautiful as it was when it left my hand.

Yes, its expensive but, you also have to take two things into account.

One, if you got a digital camera, a hd video recorder, a video player, a music player, a GPS and phone separately, you would be spending over 800 dollars. This phone packs all of it in a slim beautiful case.

And two, you probably will be using the phone alot.

In conclusion its a hefty investment in a phone but its a steal in terms of hardware and abilities. Great Buy if you can afford it, it will be way worth it.

Great buy

As a multimedia device this phone is great. Speakers and screen make watching movies a pleasure. The interface is silky smooth as compared to the n97 and comes close to the iphone 3gs but iphone still wins there. The hd recording is good I can't say i had any problems with it so far. The other options for video recording include slow mo and speed up which are fun to play with. The camera has a plethora of options, you will spend quite some time trying to figure out which setting works best for where the picture is being taken.

So in closing the most outstanding thing about the phone besides the hd recording was the screen movies look "WOW".
