Batman playing catch!

2013-02-04T06:33:00.002-08:00

Who says Batman doesn't like to have fun! This is a personal commission piece done for a client over the holidays.

The Big Three!

2013-02-04T06:29:00.002-08:00

I drew this a few years ago for a convention in Knoxville and it was colored rather quickly by someone on their side. Well I've always wanted to re-color and found the time!

Nashville Comic Expo Poster art!

2013-02-01T09:53:00.003-08:00

Just finished the colors on this poster for the Nashville Comic Expo I'll be a guest at in the fall! Really looking forward to the show, my first time in Nashville!

30th Anniversary Heroes Con auction art

2012-06-26T04:52:00.000-07:00

This is my contribution to the Heroes Con art auction that went down this past Saturday night. Shelton Drum knows how to put on a hell of a good con! Here's to 30 more years!

Wolverine Hulk! The best there is!

2012-06-26T04:50:00.001-07:00

I've got a bunch of blank covers and when I have the time I like to doodle around on them. We all remember this classic battle! ;)

Old School is awesome

2012-06-26T04:48:00.001-07:00

I love the Sentry and really like the new Superman costume. I wanted to do something in a retro style incorporating two of my favorite artists, John Buscema and Joe Sinnott. I love this type of brush rendering!

2012-06-14T06:52:00.004-07:00

Going through some old files and came across my ten page Super Powers story for FCBD I believe four years ago! Man time flies! I was playing with a different style when I did this gig...still like parts of it too! ;)

Avengers Assemble!

2012-05-08T11:41:00.000-07:00

I loved, loved the movie!!! And I also happen to have an Avengers #1 blank cover so I took to it with pencil in hand and drew some of my favorite characters! The main three with Spider-woman and the Red Hulk!

New X-O

2012-04-24T08:37:00.000-07:00

I'm jacked for the New X-O book and love the new design. So here is my take on the man in the can! I'd love to do some work on him...hint hint... ;)

He-Man!

2012-04-24T08:31:00.001-07:00

It's like retro week here in the studio! With DC announcing their new He-man mini-series it got me pumped to do my take on him. I did a cover for the Masters of the Universe book put out by the great Val Staples but that was almost a decade ago and it was time for a new one!

Thunder Cats HO!!!

2012-04-24T08:28:00.001-07:00

I loved this cartoon as a kid! I'm not a big fan of the new show mainly because I just love the original designs from what I grew up with. So with some of the down time I have I thought I'd work up a shot of my favorite...Lion-O!!!

X-MEN!

2012-04-24T08:24:00.001-07:00

Had some time and wanted to work up a shot of the X-men. I had a blast drawing X-men Forever but that was a different version of the team then this one. I started this a few months back and finally had time to finish it last week.

Superman vs. Toyman

2011-12-23T09:17:00.000-08:00

I've been working on some children's books for HarperCollins using DC characters! This is the cover to my first book which is still in progress due out for a 2012 release! I love working on this stuff and the different format from standard comic books. It also gives me a chance to work in a simpler style which is also very challenging and fun as well!

The Phantom!

2011-12-23T09:09:00.000-08:00

I'm a huge fan of the Phantom! The closet I have gotten to drawing him professionally is a cover for Moonstone's Phantom back in 2008. I liked what I did then but if I had the chance to do it over this is more of what he would look like. Sy Barry rules as the best Phantom artist ever! Then Don Newton! ;)

The New Superman and Wonder Woman!

2011-11-23T08:27:00.001-08:00

I might be in the minority but I like the new designs! So in my sketchbook I did up this piece in a different more open style. I was inspired by a French artist's work.

Green Lantern Star Saphire!

2011-09-20T10:54:00.000-07:00

I'm a huge Green Lantern fan, if you know me you know that! ;) So in some down time I had I thought I'd work up a pin-up of the main man in his new costume! Also I wanted to experiment with some more linear rendering as well. Which I had fun doing and might just do more of!

Hawk and Dove

2011-09-16T06:09:00.000-07:00

With the release of the new Hawk and Dove I thought I'd post up this piece I did back in the spring of this year. I love those characters! So if an issue needs to be drawn to give Rob a break I'm down! ;)

War of the Green Lanterns Aftermath Pencils!

2011-08-23T07:16:00.000-07:00

This job came out a week or so ago so as I've been doing here are the pencils for you to see!

Batman 712 Pencils

2011-08-02T07:36:00.000-07:00

Here are the scans of my pencils to the portion of Batman 712 I did. I thought the inks and colors came out really nice on the issue! So now run out and grab it! ;)

JSA Pencils

2011-07-12T05:17:00.000-07:00

Here are the pencils I did for the JSA 80 Pg Giant that just came out. The only revision I had to make was to not make Jessie's shirt so tight by adding a line under her breasts and erasing out the center line of them. Keith Champagne inked this job and hit a home run on it!

Captain America: First Vengeance is out!

2011-06-17T05:01:00.000-07:00

My part of the Cap story hit stands yesterday! Please check it out! And for your enjoyment here are what my pencils to the story look like!

Beware My Power!

2011-03-08T08:06:00.000-08:00

Green Lantern colored from a Copic gray scale marker drawing in Photoshop. Really having fun experimenting with this new technique, the same one I did the Power Girl with.

Power Girl!

2011-03-03T07:12:00.000-08:00

Power Girl colored in Photoshop from a gray scale marker sketch. I tried a few different techniques on this one and am very happy with the results.

Jungle Lords

2011-02-23T07:21:00.000-08:00

This is a concept I created with a friend of mine Royce Thrower. We both love the jungle girl genre but we wanted to add a fellow to the mix for her to play off of and a twist on how they came to be. There are more pages but I don't want to give it all away!

DC Comics Wolrd War 3 pencils

2011-02-22T08:41:00.000-08:00

Some of my favorite pages from the issue of World War 3 I did at DC. Written by Keith Champagne.
