This is seriously taking the piss. Maybe it’s another propaganda to attract ‘foreign talent’.

GROSS, DISTASTEFUL, DIGUSTING, PATHETIC, EMBRASSING are just some words i would used to describe this.

It’s been a while since i heard a mix this consistent and full of quality tunes.
The last one i felt so strongly about, was probably the Kemistry (R.I.P) and Storm K7 Mix cd which came out about 9 years ago or so?!
Of course, there were a couple of jems along the way as well like the DSL and Andy C Nightlife series amongst others.

Commix brings to the mix the current crop of ‘deep’ producers from the likes of D Bridge, Lynx, Instru:mental and more. This mix definitely showcases a totally different side from the usual drum & bass party music. The term ‘Intelligent Dance Music’ can actually be applied here once again. (How long ago did we last used that term even?!!).

Go buy the cd from your local store now or get it from Fabric!

News about the public transportation practically coming to a halt…all cause of snow.
Schools all getting closed. Shopping stores in Oxford Street closing early even!

I think most people actually enjoyed it :)
Most of us didn’t need to go in office, since the public transport wasn’t working at all.

On the 15th of January 2009, London closed its doors to the Astoria.
All for a crossrail. In all honestly, i rather have Astoria than another line.
I’m glad i managed to catch Rancid and the legendary GBH at the Astoria a few months back before it closed it doors. Still….it’s a sad day.

On 24th January, The End club held it’s last final party bash before it closed it’s doors for good as well.
This club is without a doubt my favourite club here in London.
Nothing beats the madness of the ravers going apeshit over some tune being dropped.
Everyone beating on the air ducts by the sides of the club calling for a rewind.
This is what every party should be. Pure Drum and bass (or dubstep) energy.
Only the headz will know what i mean.

On 29th Jan, Movement @ Bar Rumba rinsed the dancefloor for a final time as well.
This was the legendary night which broke DJ Marky’s ‘LK’ through.
The label which legends like Roni Size started out from.

You will all be missed dearly……goodbye baby
