No, not the music :) ... TAC's patterned paper collection. I still have lot's of paper left over from a paper pack I purchased a long while ago. I'm putting it to use, creating some boyish cards for my stash and catching up on some challenges I missed during PW's Holiday Celebration.

One of our challenges was to create a card using patterned paper that we hoard.

The other challenge was to use a stamp set that we just had to have but never used, so I used the star cluster image from TAC's Build-a-Background stamp set for this card. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a retired GWP stamp set.

I created some tile coasters that I'll share in a few days :) to fit in this box. They fit perfectly! I purchased the box from Michaels. Don't forget that you can always click the images to enlarge the photos for a close up view :)

  I also bought some pretty red poinsettia garland for my banisters. Unfortunately a few of the poinsettias fell off. My DS said, "Hey Mom, why don't you use them for your scraps or something." Smart cookie huh: :) So I decided to use them for both of my projects!

I used a stamp from TAC's Aged Ornaments stamp set & L'Amore red ink to stamp the pattern. Then wrapped some red sticky tape around the box and covered it & embossed it with gold embossing powder. Love how that turned out!

I really love damask designs so my eyes were immediately drawn to the gold photo behind the stacked boxes. I dug out my Brilliance Gold Ink... love this color! I haven't used it in a long while, I forgot how rich those pigment inks are. I need to use them more often!

Digital Stamp Characters by Heather Ellis

I used skin tone colored pencils & Copic markers to color the image. I added some sponging around the image, and pulled some Scenic Route patterned paper & a glittery snowflake embellishment from my stash to complete this card. 

I really enjoyed coloring this image! I could never go all digital but I can definitely see myself using more digital stamps in the future. I am really smitten with this image and Heather's other adorable images

I also finished my Christmas cards for this year. I didn't really have a plan for this year other than wanting to try a non-traditional color scheme. I used patterned papers from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses collection.

This is one of my favorites... I love Rudolph :) I really like the blue color in the patterns... it's kinda like a robin's egg blue color. The burgundy colors in the collection are pretty too.  Thanks for looking :)
