Honestly, I have been stressing about the whole affair.  Planning a successful event is a monumental task.  This being our first one, there are so many things we didn’t know or consider.

But, despite our bumbling, we have managed to raise thousand of dollars worth of raffle prizes.  Plus we’re having a BBQ competition, a costume contest, food, music, games, and fun!

No matter the stress, the work, the money spent, I am very committed to this event and making sure that it is successful because of my beautiful and incomparable mother, Mary Angel. She had MS and we were sad to lose her last year around this time.

So please come out to the event and bring your family and friends.  There are literally thousands of $$ in prizes plus just fun, fun, fun!!  And all to raise money for a good cause.

We just wanted to let all of our patients and fans know that our star Hygienist miss Anna Pilotte, didn’t stop at her Associates Degree, but continued on to earn her Bachelors Degree – all while working at Angel Dentistry.

On top of having an outstanding education and holding all of the proper licenses, she’s beautiful, caring, patient, and kind.  She has an easy laugh and is an expert at helping people relax in the chair so that they can maintain their oral health in the most soothing environment possible.

1. My Trip to Pearl Harbor

But the best part of the whole trip was the day that I spent at Pearl Harbor.  What an emotional place!  I was literally standing on the gravesite of over one thousand young servicemen.

I visited the USS Arizona Memorial, the Battleship Missouri Memorial, and the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center and the Pacific Aviation Museum.

While I was there, I was fortunate enough to share a very special moment with over 5000 sailors as they returned from a 7-month deployment to Afghanistan.  The USS John C. Stennis docked at Pearl Harbor on February 17th for a short visit before eventually returning to their home port in Washington.

If you know me, you know I’m always stumbling my way into places where I’m not really supposed to be (like with the Live with Kelly show).

So at the end of my tour Pearl Harbor tour, I stumbled into a ceremony honoring a young soldier named Jonathan Brostrom who was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan.  During this highly emotional ceremony, a portrait of 1st Lt. I felt truly lucky and honored to be able to participate in these two special events in one day – on top of the great sense of pride I felt during my visits to the Pearl Harbor memorials.

Dairy products like yogurt and cheese as well as vegetables such as broccoli and peas are high in calcium. Have lots of egg yolks, fatty fish, and fortified dairy products when you need Vitamin D. Citrus fruits, melons, berries, and tomatoes offer plenty of Vitamin C, and you can find Vitamin A in dark green or yellow fruits and vegetables, eggs, or low-fat dairy products.
