Now I'm a rather bitter, guarded and hurt person when it comes to love. Around me, people find it weird I'm single at my age and seem to judge me . Dear Sandy,

Often times what we think others are saying, thinking or feeling about us is just our own projected view from the feelings and words we tell ourselves. People are far too interested in their own lives to give others that much attention. You are just as worthy and deserving of love as every other human being around you. As long as you take it upon yourself to believe all these thoughts, you'll continue to feel hurt and disappointed about love.

You have to find it within your own heart to start pouring love onto yourself first. Love will find you when it's ready and although everyone would like it to happen NOW, love will actually seep into your life in the same strength and continuity as the love you feel and shower upon your own self. As long as you remain hurt and bitter, that is the energy you are offering the world. It is not that they are judging you, but rather that you are judging yourself first, offering that energy outwards, whether you're aware of it or not, and then you are receiving back similar energy because that's what you offered. Do you see and understand that now?

Love is available to you always. Whether you have one life partner, several or none is up to you and the choices you make in life. Do you follow your inner guidance and step out of your shell so that love can find you, or are you hiding away? Love cannot find you if you are hidden in some dark place. Allow the light to brighten and shine in your own loving heart and watch that darkness dissipate. It's totally up to you.

When you want something you have to want it with all of your heart, not all of your fears. As long as you hold the fears in front of you, that is what you will see. As you learn to love yourself, choose an affirmation everyday and say it to yourself. This can be out loud or silently. You are not doing this to get something else. It is not like that. You are doing this so that you can learn how to love yourself and keep a train of positive thoughts running through your mind, not those murky thoughts that are dragging you down.

Rise up to this challenge you have given yourself in this lifetime and journey forward with love in your heart. It is part of your own personal evolution at this point in time. Rise up and accept yourself. Rise up and join your heart to all the hearts of the world. In time, you will see all that love come back to meet you. Choose wisely, dear heart and always remember; you are greatly loved and we are beside you. Call upon us anytime and we will offer you guidance. It is the law. Angel love and blessings, dear one. Why do I feel negative energy?

But when someone is cursing or complaining about me the energy is so strong negatively that it almost feels painful. Why is that?

Blessings to you, Ann and thanks for your question.

We are all made up of energy and much of the energy is felt but because it's not physical we're unsure why we feel as we do. But if we remember some things of this world are real, but intangible, we can find a place to put it within ourselves that brings understanding.

When you are receiving negative energy it causes your body to react in order to bring to your attention that you're absorbing it into your own energy. It's mingling with yours and distance does not matter. You could be a million miles away from someone but if they direct negative thinking towards you, you'll feel it as such. You feel positive energy too, but because it's a pleasurable feeling, there isn't any pain involved and it alerts your body to the fact that now you're receiving energy that's good!

A practice I do when such experiences occur is to immediately surround myself with white light. Sometimes I get caught up in the negativity and it causes me to have thoughts pile upon each other that are depleting. When you find you've allowed the energy to penetrate your own energy stop immediately and think 'Cancel all negative thoughts' and then once you feel this say, 'Deleted!' Then surround yourself with the white light and send out loving thoughts to the Universe so that it changes the energy around you. You'll feel when it's in a good energy vibration again. It shouldn't take very long and is very effective.

Whenever you are surrounding yourself with white light, you're really bringing God into your heart to be with you and hold you in the Light so that you're not harmed by intentional and unintentional negative energy. You stand grounded and secure in your own Light and nothing can break through this love barrier. Try it and you'll discover how easy it can work for you too.

How do I know when it's the angels messages and not my own thoughts?

The following question is one I'm frequently asked and although the answer sounds simple enough, it takes some practice, and faith to discern the two voices.

Question for the angels.....is there a concrete way to know when one is receiving Divine Guidance as opposed to when one is only hearing their own human self's answers -their own wishful thinking thoughts.

Dear Ann,

Thank you for your question. I could spend an hour discussing it but I'll try to be brief yet clarify the differences.

The best book where I've read answers to this question is Messages from your Angels by Doreen Virtue. It's filled with loads of information about the angels and how they can influence your life. It also helps you find your own psychic abilities and connection with the angels and guides.

Basically it can come to you as feelings and/or thoughts.

With your feelings, a true angelic experience makes you feel warm, safe and sometimes even comes with a floral scent. You may feel a difference in the air pressure or you may get goose bumps on your body. You might feel sleepy or high with energy afterward, with a gut feeling 'this is real'.

In regards to thoughts you may have that accompany the angels is first and foremost it comes from a place of love. You will feel the love in your body and mind and no fear exists in this feeling. If you notice fear present, it's your own ego speaking, not your angels. Once you recognize and acknowledge the fears that come up, just relax and allow the love to come through. That will be your angels presence.

The messages are always consistent and repetitive. The central theme is how you can help others, or yourself. They are positive and empowering. They are exciting ideas that energize you, an idea from out of the blue, in response to a prayer.

It also involves a next step for you; what is suggested for you Now. It never goes any further than the present. You won't get a line of action steps to do this and then this and then you can try this. No, it is only one step offered and no other message will get through until you do this step that's of importance right now.

If you are trying to escape a certain situation or fear someone won't respond to your love as you wish, then you are in a place/space of fear. Any advice you tell yourself from this perspective is your ego talking. With practice and patience you can feel the difference between the two.

Mystery surrounding my steps/path

The first question asked of the angels comes from a woman who wishes to remain anonymous. Her question and then the angel advice is offered below.

Dallas, I need help. There is some sort of mystery surrounding my steps/path, this mystery has been going on for close to 15 years, and I can never seem to figure it out. A few nights ago, I was told, in a dream, that the answer is in an ancient book. I got the book off the shelf (the book looked like an old book of shadows bound in leather)

I put the book on the table and opened it up.... then i woke up.

This seems to be the way this goes, I get so close but can never grasp what it is and honestly I don't have a clue as to what IT is.

The angels say that you love a good mystery. There's nothing as exciting to you as trying to unravel something that should make sense, but doesn't. They are saying you already know the steps you need to take because you've been taking them for the past 15 yrs and have stayed in step to where you are supposed to be, from a soul perspective.

The angels say that part of the reason you keep the mystery of 'it' a secret to yourself is because it acts as a catapult to arouse your creative nature and explore new ways of expressing your creativity. They are saying that as soon as you unravel one mystery and present an art of beauty to the world, you create another mystery to see what else you can manifest. Dear Dallas,

I lost my Russian Blue Mix, Natasha, after 14 years of being graced with her physical presence. She had a terrible death from bone cancer in her jaw. I made the decision, after a night full of pain, to let her go. What I want to know is this:

Is she with me in some form?

I live with Bi-Polar Disorder and have been living with the Black Dog for a long time. Natasha's loss was a terrible blow. Natasha was very special to me and gave me much comfort during my dark times. We would lay together as a mother and child would. Natasha would lay her head on my upper arm and face me, her heart beating against mine. My heart hurts from the loss of her gentle purrs and her heartbeat and my arms feel so empty. I don't seem to be able to find comfort anywhere.

First, I was guided to offer you a message from an oracle deck I used in a reading not long ago by John Holland, The Psychic Tarot. Personally, I love this deck and I find it always gets to the bottom of the matter.

While shuffling the cards and focusing upon your energy, I drew the Crown Chakra card.

The Crown Chakra is located at the top of the head and has been called, ‘The Thousand - Petaled Lotus’ or ‘The Receiver of Light.’ This chakra is the center of your link with the Universe, the Infinite, and your higher consciousness – it’s the connection between wisdom and spiritual insight. The crown center is the area where ethereal light and energy are received and then dispersed throughout your aura for total well-being.

To balance this chakra, I find that meditation, breath work, yoga, spiritual healing, acupuncture, and color therapy work best. When properly aligned, your Crown Chakra will expand to a point where it’s possible to access and tap into the deepest sources of wisdom.

I've many questions! Can you give me a general feeling of how things are? Hopefully improving and forward! I feel it is, but just curious?

I was guided to offer you two different messages. The first one comes from the Goddess oracle cards by Doreen Virtue PhD, and the message is from Guinevere, the Celtic Triple Goddess.

The romantic stirrings in your heart have propelled the universe to deliver great love to you.

Romance is not an outmoded concept – far from it. Romance is the time honored precept of merging with the Divine as it’s manifest within another human being.

Romance is also playfulness, which heralds springtime, flowers, and new life. You needn’t be in a partnership to evoke romance, however. You can manifest it for yourself through laughter, surrounding yourself with beauty, and indulging in luxurious treats. Romance is the life force of the universe, and is a worthwhile goal indeed!

There is renewed passion in an existing relationship. Take steps to make sure your romantic needs are being met.

I Miss My Mom

Dear Dallas

I am wishing to see or hear Moms spirit. I am missing her so much. It is 12 days since she passed. I am so used to talking with her each and everyday and seeing her lots. My heart feels broken and I know it all takes time. I talk out loud every day to the angels and ask they please tell Mom what I say...

I have a lot to deal with now with Dad being alone and setting up everything I can in order to have him stay at home. That was a promise I made to Mom and I am trying my best to keep it.

It is so difficult to lose a loved one, especially a loving mother. The angels surround you in your time of grief and they encircle your mother as well. All of the love that you and others are sending out is being received by your mother. She is aware of what is happening and is sending love back in return. It helps buoy her as well as keep you grounded too. She wants you to know that she is still there beside you, guiding you as she did when she was physically with you. Now, however, she is sending her guidance through by sending loving energy.

Remember when she was alive and you sat and chatted. Remember how you always felt at peace and no matter what the trouble was, she made sense out of it for you or showed you another way to see it. She always calmed you. She is still doing it. Whenever you feel a wave of calmness float over you, know that she is present and wrapping you up in love. This is one of her signs for you to know she’s here with you. Another is a rainbow. She always loved rainbows and wants you to think of her when you witness one. There is a scarf of hers that is similar to the colours of the rainbow and she wants you to keep that one, to remind you.

She’s also speaking of roses for the garden. It is to be symbolic of the love you share and the experience you’ll have of seeing it bloom each year, passing away into another form in spirit, and coming back into the rose bush again the following year. It is a reminder to you that she has only passed into Spirit and you’ll be reunited again one day. But not yet, you’ve more work to do here.

Job secuity or insecurity?

The angels and guides find a number of ways to communicate with us. It's not always our inner visions, symbols, or inner hearing. They're very creative in the signs they offer and although some are tried and true, sometimes they find other ways to get their messages through. For Karin's question the angels chose one of the oracle decks I use, out of about 15 different decks and you'll see how the card I picked went right to her question. I love that they speak to me in so many different ways. It keeps life interesting! Blessings to you. :)

Thank you for allowing me to ask you a question. For the last year I have been contracting at company and the job should last for another two years according to the contract, but I am getting older and wondering if I should try to get another contract that might lead to a permanent job until retirement or should I wait until a permanent job comes along or should I stay where I am at and hope that another contract comes along when I need it. I know God and the angels are looking out after me, they have always provided me with a good job but sometimes I don't always make the right job decisions or so it seems.

RE: Angel Guidance you are doing Monday evening..here is my request:

I keep feeling a ring on my finger whenever I think about (name withheld) as well as when I feel his loving energy around me and many times it is so intense I can't focus on anything else at that time. My minister told me yesterday the ring represents my marriage to Spirit..but I'm feeling it is something I will be given soon by Dr. Jerry. Can you pull an angel card on this?

Dearest Ann,

This card signifies a time when you may experience stagnation, discontent, and boredom. Feelings of restlessness and impatience surrounds you. A relationship, project, or situation isn't moving forward fast enough and could be draining you emotionally and energetically.

You're longing for change and although the door you wish to have open, is closing, don't focus all your energy on it, as opportunity will soon knock.

A window or another door could quickly open, and if your attention and awareness isn't focused, you could easily miss it. Watch for synchronistic events that bring books, speakers, workshops, and new people into your life. Any of these could possibly hold a message for you. Have faith in divine timing, and know that everything changes for a reason. This acts as a reminder that it's a perfect time to reevaluate and search within your heart and soul for fresh insights.

Sometimes we're so focused upon one person that another light that shines just as brightly can pass us by. Don't let this happen to you. Allow your attention to take in all that's in your surroundings, not just certain individuals. When you do this, love will find you right where you expect it.

Dallas, your FB post said you were doing readings Monday and to leave a comment on this page if you had a question ... I don't know if this is where you meant the question to be - but I'm going to throw it in here. First, I'm glad you linked to the blog - I'll be checking it out!!

I'm going through a particularly stressful time, and it could be several months before it ends. This year I just can't seem to get and stay healthy - it's been one thing after another literally starting about midnight on New Year's. Being sick and caring for my mom long distance - running across the state to take her to doctor appointments or sit in the hospital with her contribute to my missing work - getting stressed out about getting behind at work - it's like a vicious circle. Do the angels have any suggestions how I can get on top of my health so i can be more effective and at least somewhat less stressed?

Thank you for your thoughts, Julie. We love you. Call upon us more frequently so that we may be better able to help you when needed. You don't have to wait until the last minute to ask for assistance. We're ever ready to aid you and it doesn't have to be 'BIG' in your mind. Usually when it becomes BIG in your mind, you've already set into motion an outcome that we cannot prevent from happening. Do you understand this? Do you see how you fill yourself up with worry in the hopes nothing 'bad' will happen. As long as you are doing and keeping yourself busy busy busy you don't have to look at your quests. Is that what is happening with you? Do you understand this?

Are you feeling like you do not matter? Do you feel that you have to look after others, in this case your mother, because nobody else is capable of doing it or offering their help? Before we go into any answers here we wish to let you know that your mother blesses you and loves you. Do you bless You and love You? Would you have another work themselves into a frenzy of worry and promote negative situations?

No, we do not think so either. But this is what you are doing dear heart with your own self. You are not giving YOU the LOVE it so desperately wants and needs. No wonder your body is rebelling and offering up sickness after another. Do you not see what you are doing to your body? Do you not see how your thoughts are destroying you, while you seek to aid another? How can one be of aid to another when one is not looking after one's self? How can you save another when you will not take the steps to save your self? Yes, these are the questions indeed. And from that perspective we shall offer you some guidance. The guidance is about Love.

Do not be distraught dear one for changes are coming to you and your situation. It signifies new beginnings and exciting challenges may be before you. By utilizing your strength, willpower, determination, and focus, there's the potential for you to reign triumphant in many areas of your life.

This represents a double edged sword. It can cut through the barriers that hold you back if it's done constructively and with precision. Remember that there's another side to the blade. If you're rash or use it in a destructive way, it could be harmful to yourself and others - always pause and think before you act. This is a reminder to vanquish negative thoughts from your mind, strengthen and tap into your mental powers, and use clarity with control in order to initiate new ways of thinking.
