Smyrna Baby Ian arrived a little ahead of schedule so I had the opportunity to photograph him two times! The first time was for his newborn baby portrait session and the second time was just a couple of days after Thanksgiving for an extended family portrait session. You would not believe what a poser he is for being such a brand new little guy. When we got to the part of the family session where I was photographing him with his Grandparents, Aunts and Uncle he would look right at the camera and pose, I don’t think I’ve had a newborn ever do that every. single. time. I think he has a future as a model!

Baby Ian is such a blessing to his family as they have waited for him a long time, what a wonderful early Christmas present he is. I fell in love with his family and even his sweet dog Tanner. Tanner would come stand by me and nuzzle his head on my hand and wait for me to pet him. Then he would put his head on my leg if I was sitting down. I’m pretty sure Tanner is one of my most favorite client furry friends I’ve ever met. Thank you so much to Ian’s Mommy & Daddy for choosing me to document your lives during this very special time.

Anna : One Year Later | Atlanta Baby Photographer

Last year at this time I photographed beautiful Baby Anna shortly after she was born. I was so excited when her Mommy told me that they wanted me to photograph her again this year. I love love love seeing how much the babies I photograph have grown over the past year when I see them for their one year portrait sessions. Miss Anna is *such* a sweet and beautiful little toddler. She blows kisses and waves bye bye, oh she just melts my heart. We had a lot of fun playing in the leaves and being silly that day. Thank you so much B & P for inviting me back again this year.

Atlanta sure is having a newborn baby boom right now and it’s mostly adorable baby boys that I have been photographing here lately. Although a few baby girls have joined the ranks and I will be posting them soon!

Baby Davis was three weeks old when I photographed him. He had the cutest nursery, it was decorated in Chicago Cub’s gear, his parents are die hard cubs fans, they even have a dog named Wrigley! Here are a few to share from my day photographing Atlanta Baby Davis. Isn’t he a cutie pie?

I want to wish all of my blog readers, friends, family and clients a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving. I have been so very busy shooting and working with my wonderful clients that I have neglected my blog. I have photographed some of the most beautiful babies, children and families in Atlanta and Los Angeles and I cannot wait to share them with you.

When I visited Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph sweet newborn baby Ella. I love being a part of such a special time in my client’s lives, the moments when they go from being husband and wife to becoming Mommy and Daddy. Thank you to Ella’s amazing parents, I am so glad that you chose me to document Ella’s babyness. (did I just make up a word?)

Baby Joshua: 10 Days Old

Yesterday I traveled to Buckhead here in Atlanta to photograph a super cute 10 day old baby boy Joshua. I think Atlanta is going through a boom of baby boys, he is my fourth newborn boy in a row and I have another one in just a couple of weeks who is scheduled to arrive.

I’ve been busy with commercial work so I have several portrait clients that I need to share with all of you, some very sweet babies and kids here in Atlanta! I’ll be in Los Angeles in November seeing some of my wonderful portrait clients there for fall portraits.

Ava Joy: 7 Days Old | Atlanta Newborn Baby Photographer

This morning I traveled to Smyrna to photograph brand new baby Ava Joy. She decided to arrive almost two weeks early and I told her Mommy that I think she just didn’t want to miss out on all of the 4th of July festivities. One of the things that I try to tell everyone is just how important it is to try and have your newborn photographed before the two week mark. It makes so much difference in how the session flows. At the one week mark they are still very sleepy, they are easy to pose and their baby acne has typically not shown up yet. There is no such thing as too early for a newborn portrait session, I’ve photographed several babies who were only 2-3 days old.

Miss Ava was so perfect and sweet for us this morning, I could have just sat and held her all day. She had so much hair, oh how she melted my heart. Congratulations to the M family, it was so wonderful to spend the morning with you!

Emily: Class of 2009 | Atlanta Senior Portraits

Last month I had the chance to photograph a beautiful high school senior named Emily. When I was scheduling the session with her Mom she told me that Emily is often approached by modeling agencies and turns them down because it’s just not her thing. She said that she wasn’t just being biased because she is her daughter, but she thinks she is one of the most beautiful girls she’s ever seen. That statement was very true, Emily is such a gorgeous girl, but beyond that she is so sweet and smart. In fact, she is so smart that she graduated from high school a year early! I am *very* behind on my blogging and I have so many beautiful babies, children & families to share with you so I promise to be better with updating my blog. My little ones are out of school so they keep me pretty busy in addition to my wonderful clients here in Atlanta.

Yesterday I went to Marietta to photograph a beautiful one week old baby girl named Emma Grace. I did her Mommy’s maternity portraits a few months ago so it was wonderful to see her again but this time as a Mother. Emma was so cooperative and sometimes she would even pose herself. Her Mom, Dad & Grandma were smiling so big and beaming with pride and already have so much love for their brand new baby girl. Here are a few portraits from our session yesterday. Ava, Bryce & Gavin: One Year Later | Atlanta & Los Angeles Child Photographer

Last year about this time I had this wonderful client family that had a gorgeous three year old little girl named Ava. They were expecting identical twin boys just a few weeks after I did their maternity session and I was lucky enough to get to go back for the newborn session. This is one gorgeous family y’all (see the southerner in me is creeping back in to my daily vocabulary)! Not only are they beautiful but they are such a wonderful sweet and loving family and I was thrilled when they hired me again this year when I was in LA. Miss Ava has grown in to a confident and spirited four year old who loves Hello Kitty and being silly and the boys, oh my goodness what a difference a year makes. These two little heart breakers who were so tiny the last time I saw them, were now busy one year olds that cried when I started to leave. Yes it’s true they cried when I was leaving. Oh how they melted my heart.

A Very Special Day | Atlanta Child Photographer

My good friends at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House called and told me about a little boy who has been staying with them for the past two months. Today was his last day as he received the green light to go home, so I stopped by to get a few snapshots to document the occasion. His Mom said that she is so thankful for ARMH and it was a wonderful experience but she will be so glad to finally be home to her own bed. I can’t blame her, I think we all agree that there is truly no place like home, but like I said before, the Ronald McDonald House comes really close to being just like home.

Ty Christian just turned three years old and he was on the go today! He is such a sweetheart and had so much personality. I think he had a lot of fun during our time together, I know I did.
