I am fed up. Homophobia has got to STOP already. It is not fair to judge and hate a person just because of their sexual preferences. We are ALL humans and each and every one of us has the right to be in a relationship we feel happy in.

What's your excuse?? The bible says it's wrong, I know that. And so what? It also says each and every one of us has the right to make their own decisions. If someone chooses to follow their heart's desire and publicly be gay they should be respected. Love cannot be heterosexual ONLY. I know tons of homosexuals who love and respect their partners the same way, if not better, than heterosexual couples I know.

As far as I am concerned, religions teach their followers to be kind with everybody. Therefore if you are a Christian, a Muslin, a Buddhist, etc. and you hate and discriminate against homosexuals you are being a HYPOCRITE. Yes, a HYPOCRITE.

I was born and raised in a Christian family and sadly I once thought homosexuality was wrong because it was what my family believed and is what I learned. But I must clarify, we have never been homophobic in any way possible. However, I am so happy I have a new way of looking at life and can see how wrong it is to believe there can only be one way for love. Love can happen between two males/females and people should just chill (relax) about it.

If you do not support them, then don't. But do NOT hate and disrespect gays. How would you feel if someone where 'Heterophobic' and would scream at you in the street while you hold partner's hand? You would fell awful and angry. Well guess what, that is exactly how homosexuals feel when you scream at them! ugh, it makes me sick to my stomach just to talk about this because this term, 'homophobic,' should not even exist!

If you feel disrespected by what I say, you should know I feel disrespected just the same way.

¿Cómo los puertorriqueños podemos querer estadidad cuando los Estadounidenses ni saben quienes somos? Llevo viviendo en Boston, MA siete meses y les puedo decir que NO tenemos NADA en común con ellos, ¿porqué entonces se empeñan en ser estado?

La mayoría de los 'gringos' que tanto 'anhelamos' :::

NO saben donde queda Puerto Rico,

NO saben que usamos dólares,

NO saben que somos ciudadanos Americanos,

NO saben que NO podemos votar por un Presidente,

NUNCA nos llamarían 'americanos' (si es lo que desean los estadistas) porque NO nos parecemos a ellos, y NUNCA nos podríamos parecer..

Yo no tengo nada en contra de los estadounidenses (no me refiero a ellos como 'americanos' porque técnicamente americanos somos todos, desde La Tierra del Fuego hasta Canada), de hecho, estudio en una institución fundada por estadounidenses.

Mi UNICO punto es, paren de desear ser estado, Puerto Rico y su cultura es única en el mundo y debemos celebrarla con orgullo y no anhelar convertirnos en algo que simplemente NO somos.

"What's the currency in Puerto Rico?"

Can't you just google that SAME question when you get home?

Better yet -- google it on your phone!

and I, of course, will tell them:

"Usually is around $20-$30"

"Paris, you know the Eiffel Tower?"

"Yes, you just have to open an account"
"Dollars, we are US citizens" (you dumb ass!)

Google was created for a wonderful reason, and it is to solve our problems, concerns and stupid questions like those people ask... Take advantage of what the internet has to offer and stop looking ignorant!

Seems like nobody cares about maintaining a good work ethic anymore. People en Español, The No.1 Hispanic Celebrity Magazine and Website for Hispanics, made an unprofessional tweet while watching the 53rd Grammy Awards:

"Miranda Lambert sings a country ballad... whoever wants to go to the bathroom or kitchen, this is the moment" - @peopleenespanol via Twitter

Magazines, especially this magazine that is so important around hispanics, should maintain their tweets neutral. The person in charge of the tweets should be more professional.

It's sad that journalism seems to have become a joke for some people. It is a serious thing and comments like those make a magazine look cheap and tacky. I find it interesting that editors allow journalists to give their personal opinion!

I have learned so much in the past months, you guys have no idea and all the experiences have been amazing. I have met a lot of people and more importantly I have made a bunch of new friendships.

Learning chinese...

So... I have been learning chinese (mandarin) and I must tell you that it's really cool... Wo xing An Ge (My name is An Ge) 'An' means a calm personality and 'Ge' means someone that sings beautifully.. Both of those are true ;) and I thank my laoshi (teacher) for giving me such a cool name...

It has been really challenging for me but if I already know two languages I guess I can learn one more!! NOT as easy as it looks!

Anyways, I'll keep you guys posted...

¿Pena de muerte?

Yo siempre había pensado y creído que la pena de muerte era algo justo y necesario para que las personas pensaran dos veces antes de hacer cosas horribles. La mayoría de la gente lo apoyaba y pensaba yo que estaba en lo correcto. Y si alguien mata a alguien, ¿no se merece la muerte también? ¿no se merece sufrir también?

Con la muerte de mi papá el año pasado y el dolor que eso me trajo, mi mente cambió de parecer...

Nadie se merece la muerte NADIE... por más mala la cosa que haya hecho no se lo merece. Me imagino que si mi padre o mi madre estuviesen en esa posición no me gustaría que los mataran sólo porque mataron a alguien. No es justo, no es justo quitarle el derecho a la vida a alguien. No es justo que la familia, sus hijos, padres, etc. tengan que sufrir por la muerte de un ser querido. NO es justo que niños se queden sin padres por eso. Y lo peor de todo es que algunos de los que han muerto en la pena de muerte eran inocentes y nadie nunca pudo probarlo ni defenderlo.

Para los que están de acuerdo con la pena de muerte, piensen en los seres que más aman y piensen como se sentiría tener que perderlos por que las leyes así lo dictan...

So.. Yesterday I bought the new Blackberry Torch and it is great!! Everyone should get one for themselves... ok, not everyone 'cause I don't want it to be like the iPhone (every body has one and it's OVERRATED). The point is that I was so excited I immediately started to download apps and stuff, add new contacts, call people and I was starving so I got in the train to get to the apt, and the WORST happened... like 30 minutes later INSIDE the train I realized I was in the wrong one. OMG I was so nervous I did not know what to do. So the next stop I got off and decided to go back.. I pass JFK/U Mass but that station looked creepy and sketchy so I decide to get off in the next station, guess what? the next station looked even creepier and sketchier.. I was ALONE and on top of that I had to wait like 20 minutes for the next and right train to come,... This will teach me to not get distracted in the strain stations EVER again

Btw. I'm loving my apt but these past days have been cold for me... Here is a pic of the apt... we have NO furniture besides that one but soon we'll buy stuff ;)

So, as you may know I have done various video blogs and one of them talked about a little trip I made with my family to CROEM (a high school in PR)... well, apparently the students from CROEM can't take a joke or they don't understand comedy because they all started to write awful and just plain stupid comments on the video and that was great because I now have 400 views on that one which means more people know me ;)

So, I was watching the movie "Black and Blue" on LMN and it really captured my attention. It's about:

It's sad to see movies like these when you know stuff like those happen every single day. Maybe your aunt or your neighbor goes through this and no one knows. I know it must be hard to leave everything you have behind because you are experiencing mental, physical or emotional violence but YOU MUST NOT LIVE WITH THIS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, you are going to get KILLED, and if you have kids they will suffer too. Be BRAVE, talk to someone!! If he is violent once, he will always be like this, even if the next morning he ask you to forgive you and tells you that he is sorry!!
