“‘Steam Queen’ is the product of one of the November 2010 Monthly Muses Themed Galleries.  The prompt was ‘Its Steam, Punk.’  Since I saw it come across the group, I couldn’t wait to get started!

The inspiration for this piece was definitely the outfit.  I love the steampunk look, especially with all the little gears and keys.  Everything else came together after that.”

I had the image that would become “Haunted Stones” in mind for a while before I finally committed it to canvas.  The stones called to me, begging to be painted.  Depending on how you turn the canvas, there are some eerie looking faces.

Acrylic paint on canvas.  Size is 16 x 20 inches and ready to be framed.  The colors used are black, gray, and silver.
