This blog is no longer active. I know... you must be pretty bummed out. But I am still active online. Follow me on Instagram and check out my art for sale in my Etsy shop.
I also have a Youtube channel that is updated on a somewhat regular schedule.

This blog will remain here so I can look back at it. Maybe one day I will completely delete it or bring it back to life?

In 2015 I...

Time for the yearly recap of stuff that I did in 2015! There were some rough patches for me but it was a good year overall. (You can't expect every year to be amazing, haha that's crazy talk... and unrealistic.) I will be starting a new contract with the same studio, so that is great! One of the worst things to stress about is having a job and I'm so glad I don't have to worry about money this year.

Unfortunately this year was my worst year for posting on my blog. (Under 40 posts!) Which seems crazy to me but I'm also not stressed or worried about it. I decided early on to only post when I felt like it. There were times when I just didn't feel like it (but ended up posting a lot on Instagram because it's so easy.) and other times when I just had no time, or nothing was happening. (I live a boring life.) I hope to double my posts next year but we'll see.

Anyways, here is a list of some of the highlights from the year, in random order.

In 2015 I...

participated in Inktober for the first time and it got me back into drawing and painting almost daily again!

went to Fan Expo but decided to take a step back from it and let Justin have the whole table. (I was feeling burnt out around this time and needed a break).

started juicing and making smoothies. Basically I started eating healthier in general and recently cut out meat from my diet. And I feel great!

moved and we are loving the new place!

dyed my hair a couple more times. (rainbow being my favourite!) Then decided to give my hair a rest and go back to something a little more natural. And honestly I do not miss having to touch up my hair every 2 - 3 months.

went to Wayhome with Tania and had a blast. Hope we can go again next year!

went on our first 'big' trip together (Justin had never been on a plane before) to Jamaica for a friend's destination wedding.

Other things that happened in 2015;

I did Fire Hooping for the first time! Stopped doing movie reviews because we don't live near a movie theatre anymore. Niagara Falls Comic Con + First time ever doing a panel on animation! Toronto ComiCon Vlog.Visited some art galleries. Paid off half my student loan! Got a couple small tattoos.

Even though my blog has been a bit quiet this year, I still see people clicking and sometimes commenting. It means a lot to me, so thank YOU.

Goals for 2015: Recap

Looking at my goals for 2015, I actually didn't accomplish a lot of them. And I'm okay with that. I did a lot of other things this year. Anyways here's how I did for my goals this year...

Pay half my loan(s) (Yes!)

I did it. I'm at the half way mark! WOO!

A painting a month (Nope)

Ha! I did not do this at all. But I've been drawing and painting a lot more now since I did Inktober.

A roll of film a month (Nope)
I think I started out good with this one but then I slowed down a lot near the end of the year. Eh, It happens.

Design my own fabric (Kinda)
I DID design my own fabric I just never purchased any (other than samples) to make anything out of it.

Lose weight (Kinda)
I did lose some weight this year. Not a super-duper amount but I'm on the right track now and I'm feeling better every day.

I've been a bit flakey with my blog since summer. I feel like this always happens to me around the summer time though. Like, I've noticed even other blogs aren't posting as much and aren't getting as many comments on their posts. Maybe it's just me but I feel like people are gravitating more towards watching videos instead of reading posts. But maybe that's just me?

Anyways for the handful of people still following my blog, you may have known for a while that I have a YouTube channel. I've posted a few vlogs and whatnot over the last year or so.... But I want to start adding more videos on a somewhat regular basis. I've already added two new videos 'Draw with Me', where... you watch me draw. InkTober (Finished) + Sketches for sale

October is now officially done, which means InkTober is done too. (aww!) I did 31 awesome drawings and It's gotten me back into drawing (daily) and that is great because It's been too long. I can't wait to do this all over again next year.

WAYHOME

I never did a real post about WayHome! This summer I went to WayHome with my best friend Tania. If you don't know what WayHome is, that's okay because It's pretty new. It's a 3 day outdoor, camping music festival in Canada. I've never been to one before but now that I've gone... I want to go to one every summer!

It was 3 days packed full of awesome music, sun, food, no showers, tent life and good times. I was going to vlog the whole thing but then I thought about it and I just wasn't feeling it. So I took a disposable camera with me. These are the only pictures I have from that awesome long weekend. (this and a few on my cell phone.) Some of my favourite bands I saw; The Decemberists, July Talk, Weaves, The Beaches, and Slow Magic to name a few. And these are all bands I've never heard of before!

This was were everyone stayed. Not that pretty looking but there were a lot of people and it wasn't that bad as we thought it would be.

I definitely am going to try to go to WayHome again next year. It was such a fun experience. And maybe see if we can get a few more people to join us. The more the merrier.

A Wedding in Jamaica

Last week Justin and I flew to Jamaica for a week to celebrate a wedding. We stayed in the Grand Bahia Principe Resort. This was actually our first 'big' trip together. (And this was Justin's first time on a plane and first time out of Canada!) And our first time staying at a resort!

The resort itself was pretty cool. I don't have anything to compare it to but I was blown away at how nice our rooms were. How nice the staff were and how beautiful everything was. The unlimited food and drinks is pretty freakin' awesome too.

Two days before our trip, the bride and groom had a reception/party for their friends and family that weren't coming to Jamaica. It was fun. Lots of candy and dancing!

Two of my animation teachers from school came to the reception too. They are the couple on the right of me. :]

In Jamaica, enjoying the pool. It was overcast most of the week and it rained a tiny bit but it was still really warm there.

I didn't take many pictures of the wedding itself because I was one of the bridesmaids. (can you find me?) Justin took a few with my camera but they all turned out kind of foggy because I was using it in the pool so much.

I've got a bunch of pictures of Justin jumping into the pool. This ones pretty awesome. It looks like he slipped on something.

When you have an underwater camera, you take pictures underwater. Duh!

The beach was pretty awesome too. The sky was so pretty on this day. Overall we had a pretty relaxing week in Jamaica. I can see us staying at resorts in the future.

InkTober

Long time no post! I can't believe it's already October?! I mean the year is almost done. Where did the time go? We have finally some-what settled into our new place. There are still about 10 (or so) boxes that still need unpacking but I have my computer set up. And that's all the really matters! I should be back to blogging at least once or twice a week.

I decided to participate in InkTober. Mainly because I had realized that I haven't drawn, sketched or painted anything in weeks.... or more like, months! If you don't know what InkTober is, it's where you do a drawing (an inked drawing) every day for the month of October. Every year I forget about InkTober until it's almost half way through the month and then I'm too lazy to do anything about it. But not this year! I'm posting my daily Inks on my Instagram (Justin is also participating. You can check out his drawings here.)

In other news, we are leaving very soon for a week long trip, (Our first time in Jamaica!) so I don't know if there will be Wi-Fi there. If there is I will try to keep posting. If not, I will be flooding peoples feeds with a weeks worth of doodles when I return.

Below are my favourite sketches I've done so far.

I loved how this one turned out. I was using Justin's fancy markers. He doesn't have a brown fancy marker, so I couldn't colour in the stem of the pumpkin. It's kinda bothering me... but whatcha gonna do?
Totally inspired by Sailor Moon. (as usual) I just wanted to draw something with a 'light source.'

Fan Expo 2015

Normally I have a big long post (full of pictures) about Fan Expo a few days afterwards but If you've been around lately you'll know that we moved into our new place 2 days before Fan Expo this year. So it was crazy! The move itself went well. We hired movers (which I have never done before) but they were such a big help and the whole thing was less stressful because of them. Then Justin's Mom and Sister showed up the next day, we were barely unpacked but we made it work.

My cameras are all over the place and most of them packed up still. So I didn't vlog and I didn't go around taking cosplay pictures. Actually, I barely did anything this year... after ComiCon I felt kind of burnt out from all the conventions. I usually feel excited about Fan Expo but this time, I just wasn't feeling it. So I decided to let Justin have the whole table this year. I didn't take any time off, so I only came to help out after work. On the weekend I showed up a couple hours after the show had started. I spent most of our first 2 weeks unpacking and trying to get stuff organized. There is still a lot to do but it is looking a lot better now.

Justin decided to do a raffle for on of his paintings this year. You might have seen me posting about it, here and there. The raffle went well and he hopes to do another one next year. The convention over all was good. Not our best year but still profitable. It was the first time they set up the expo during a long weekend. I feel like the big vendors didn't do too well because of that but Artist Alley seemed to have always been busy.

The one thing I really enjoyed at Fan Expo this year was getting to try out Cuphead. It is so freaking cute! I can't wait to own it and play it every day. I love everything about it.

P.S. Still some unpacking to do. I had to order a new desk (because my old one is too big) So right now I am not set up. Hopefully I will be up and running in about a week. For sure, I'll be posting somewhat regularly by October. I miss blogging!

Fire Hooping + Moving & Other Stuff

Long time no post! I feel like it's been forever since I posted something on here. I've just been so busy these last few weeks. My Grandma is visiting from Poland for a couple of weeks. (Look how cute she is.) I quietly celebrated my 27th birthday. I fire hooped for the first time ever. (Little video here and here.) I started stretching my ears and we found our next apartment!!

I feel like there is something going on every weekend. And every other weekend I take the bus home to hang out with my Grandma + family. It's starting to feel too 'busy' for me but I can't really complain because there are months in the winter time when nothing happens and I'm so bored!! ha.

Anyways, fire hooping was awesome! I knew about it last year but I wasn't too confident in my hooping abilities then... I'm still not the best hooper but I can at least keep the hoop up! If you're into hooping at all. I totally suggest you try fire hooping. It is really fun and after you get to say you fire hooped! Not many people can say that. I really want to go again but I think I may be too busy to go. We shall see...

For apartment news, we found a cute place really close to work. We like where we live now but the building is starting to fall apart (like nails coming out of the floor, cracks showing up in our walls and barely any water pressure!!) and worst of all...we haven't had an actual landlord in about 4 months!

So we started looking and we found a place we really love. It's be smaller than our current place but there are so many positives. Like; It's a new building, huge windows so it's super bright, the kitchen has an island, laundry in unit (I'm too excited about this part), Dishwasher, I'll be able to walk to work, I'll be able to walk home for lunch! We are super excited! We move in September. A few days before Fan Expo, so it's going to be a crazy week for us. If you don't see me posting in September it's because I'm unpacking.

Also, Tania and I are going to Wayhome this weekend! I'm excited because I've never been to a real concert or any sort of music fest. They are advertising it like it's going to be very hipster-y/hippy. Think... sitting on a blanket with your friends, all wearing flower crowns, smiling, laughing, all wearing clothes from urban outfitters. But I have a feeling it's going to be very dirty and smelly. I'm picturing garbage everywhere. Over-priced food and water. Huge line ups to use a gross port-a-potty. The hand washing stations running out of soap! NO!

And on top of that Tania and I will be camping there for 3 days, 2 nights with no showers! That's right. No. Showers. They are charging for a shower pass that you can only use once a day. We decided we'll just 'manage' and save some money. Haha. I'm assuming lots of people will be doing the same and if I'm wrong... then they better stay clear of us!! :P

Goodbye to coloured hair

I've been dying my hair funky colours off and on for the past 4 years. (I had red/pink hair for a while and then dyed it black before I went on a big family trip) I've done the most hair dying in the last 2.5 years. I've almost been every colour in the rainbow... and even had rainbow hair! But it's time now, to say goodbye to the funky hair dye life.

About a week ago, I stripped the red out of my hair (as much as I could) and bought a box of dark brown hair dye. My hair actually turned out black but whatever... It was time for a change. I still love coloured hair (plus it's fun to change colours every couple of months) but I hate the work, time and money I had to put into my hair every month. Not only that but I had to buy special shampoos and conditioners that wouldn't strip my dye. Sometimes I would stain my clothes or pillow cases... I could go on and on...

I could write a super long post about all the things I learned about coloured hair. All the pros and cons. How to do it properly. How to take care of it. What to look out for, etc.
Ah.. maybe I will?

Anyways, I'm excited about giving my hair a break and letting it get a bit more healthy. Everyone's always told me I look better with dark hair so maybe I'll play around with different shades of browns and highlights? Who knows, there's so much you can do with hair!

Has anyone else had coloured hair and gone back to something a bit more natural? Do you miss it?

Review: June Movies

Re-watch? Probably no

I liked this movie but I wanted to really like it. I was expecting something a bit more... magical? The story was good, well it got really good near the end but most of it was a bit slow. (not a bad thing, just a fact) I remember when the movie first came out people were saying how it was a movie about being gay, but it wasn't at all. Just some of the things said and some actions came off a bit strange but at the end it all makes sense. I'm glad I saw this movie but I don't think I'll even need to see it again.

Jurassic World

Re-watch? Yes

I was SO excited for this movie! I loved it. The dinosaurs looked good, the story was decent... lots of nods to the first movie, Jurassic Park. (which I loved). I feel like everyone's seen this movie already but if you haven't yet... and you liked Jurassic Park, then go see this one!

Recommend? Yes!
Re-watch? Yes!

When I first heard what this movie was about, I was like... I can't wait to see how they do this! Very interesting concept. I love how they are thinking outside the box on this one. And it was so good! I cried. Like, sometimes movies make me tear up.... and once in a while I'll shed one single tear. But once in a blue moon I'll actually cry. And I don't even fully understand why I was crying but I wasn't the only one. The whole theatre was fully of sniffles. Aside from a movie (an animated movie!) being so good it brings me to tears... the story was great, something we can all relate to. A movie for the whole family for sure. And I loved Sadness, she was my favourite. I thought Disgust would have been my favourite character because of her design but Sadness won my heart. Phyllis Smith was a perfect choice as the voice for her.

P.S. I think the last Pixar movies that made me cry were probably Brave and Up.

Disposable Film Dump

Goals for 2015: Update

Well, It's that time of year again. Time to see where I am with my goals for the year. Truthfully I thought I'd be doing a lot better but oh well...

Pay half my loan(s) (So far so good!)

I'm doing it. Some months I can put more towards my loans than others but this is the most I've paid towards my loans in years. Years! So I feel like I'm doing a good job. I'm very, super-duper close to my half way goal. So YAY!

A painting a month (Nope)

Because I was pretty busy for a while and then I got into this weird funk, I have barely painted this year. It makes me sad but I'm not gonna force myself. Instead I'm doing other creative things.

A roll of film a month (Yes)

I've been keeping up with this one, but it takes a while for the rolls to get developed.

Design my own fabric (Yes)
Yes I have. Already got some test fabric too. I'm gonna make things!

Lose weight (So far so good)
Very slow. But it's happening. I am losing weight. Maybe not a shit-ton of weight but I'm on the right track. Truthfully I should have lost a lot more by now but I just love food so much. :'[

Niagara Falls Comic Con 2015

We've been home now for a couple days since this convention. The night we came back to Toronto I came down with strep throat... for the second time! Anyways I'm starting to feel better so, I thought now would be a good time to post up some photos from our long weekend.

This was our second time at this convention, we decided a few months ago that we would go to Niagara Falls a day and a half early so we could have a whole day to just do fun touristy stuff. The first day we showed up, check into the inn and went out exploring, stopped by some gift shops and spent way too much money at the arcade.

This was on our second day (our day of fun). This was the worst all-you-can-eat breakfast ever!

Last year Justin promised me we would do the Hornblower boat ride next time we came to the falls. I was so excited because I've never been on this boat ride! I love the huge ponchos.

The falls were so pretty! I thought we would get more wet though.

I know, we're adorable.

After the Falls we relaxed a bit and decided to do dinosaur mini golfing again. We took the harder side this time around and I actually did pretty well. I still lost. But it was close.

This picture shows how busy it was that day. It also got super hot. Like, too hot.

The next day was the first day of the convention. (This picture is actually from the second day, but this was the only picture I have of both of us behind the table).

At the end of the second day, we went out for dinner with a friend and then went to the gun range. (Not a real gun range). It was really fun!!

This was taken on our last day at the con. This was the day we had our animation panel. It was really fun to do the panel, I hope we get to do more in the future. The guys on the ends are friends we worked with in the past who also attend conventions.

Review: May Movies

Re-watch? Yes

This movie was great. I didn't have huge expectations, which might have helped the movie... but it was still very good. The robot looked amazing. The actress did a great job. Well, everyone did a great job. And I was actually pretty creeped out a few times. I will say this though... I did not like the ending. It felt long and boring but maybe that's just me?

Mad Max
Recommend? Yes!!
Re-watch? Yes!!

I was so excited for this movie. I have completed forgot how the original/first movie(s) were like but once I heard this was coming out, I was like, yes! Then I saw a little trailer for it and I was like, YES! And then I saw a longer trailer for it and I was like, Oh, hells yeah! This movie did not let me down. It was just so much awesome. So much action. So much (real) explosions. (You can totally tell when an explosion is CGI or real) And so many real stunts. So many cool things happening. It felt like it was an older movie. Like, it was done right... It was just good. Okay? Loved this movie so much, I saw it twice! Might even buy the soundtrack vinyl too.

Pitch Perfect 2
Recommend? Yes!
Re-watch? Yes!

Yay! I was so excited about Pitch Perfect 2 (because Pitch perfect was awesome, I loved it.) This movie was great. Not as good as the first but still very enjoyable. The story felt a bit weak and rushed but it was full of laughs and 'girl power'. Probably will end up buy this one.

Art Gallery of Ontario

This past long weekend Justin and I decided we should start doing more stuff. So we visited the Art Gallery of Ontario. I have never been to this gallery. (Actually I haven't been to many art galleries. Period.) This one was obviously very big, there is lots to see. We spent a couple hours there and we didn't even see everything!

The painting Justin is looking at is by Stephen Andrews. Lots of large paintings. Lots of colour. Lots of texture. So beautiful! His stuff looks like overexposed photographs.

I really liked this room. So much to see.

I forgot where (what floor) I saw this but I was blown away. I thought these were beads but they're just a bunch of dots of paint. It's so perfect! Definitely got a little inspired to finish my paintings and get back into my art.

Here's a ;little collection of a bunch of other stuff I saw. I didn't take too many pictures because there was so much to see. That top left corner one is by Manasie Akpaliapik, who makes his work out of animal bones (mainly whale). Very creepy, interesting and cool.

These were very weird but neat. Lots of large bodies with little heads. I took a few pictures with my film camera. So we'll see how those turn out.

A shot of us before going into the building... when was the last time you went to an art gallery? I did a search for other galleries in Toronto and I'm a bit surprised at how many I found.

Niagara Falls Comic Con + a panel

It's almost time for Niagara Falls Comic Con! This will be our second year selling at this con plus... something kind of exciting... we will be participating in a panel talking about animation. How cool is that?!

We will be in the first row of the Artist alley, second table A14. As usual we will have prints, some paintings, hair bows, headbands and possibly something new... The animation panel will be happening on the Sunday at 11am in room 201. Come say Hi!

Right now, I'm trying to decide if I want to take a few videos during our long weekend at Niagara Falls or If I just want to stick to taking a few pictures. I know...this isn't a real problem, haha. I'll probably do a bit of both.

Hair appreciation: #3

This was supposed to post yesterday but I screwed up! I bet you're thinking... why is there another hair post about the same colourful hair? Well, it's not the same colourful hair. It's different! I swear, go look! This is my rainbow/multicoloured hair touched up. I didn't put the exact same colours in the same spots. This time around my hair came out less green but a bit more dark. Which isn't a bad thing because hair fades and gets lighter, so whatever. Truth time! I was not in the mood to take pictures that day. But it was really nice and it was the only time I could do it. And I wanted to document my hair...so there's barely any pictures of my face. I really tried to smile and 'look nice' that day but it just wasn't happening.

Okay, this may be a bit random but I feel like sharing... I've been in a weird mood lately and I don't know whats wrong. I feel uninspired and tired all the time. I come home tired and the lay awake in bed most nights. The last few weeks it has gotten so much nicer in Toronto and I'm hating that I'm in a building all day. I take any excuse to go out for a walk. (Captain has been loving the extra long walks, haha) I just wanna be outside and nap forever... but have enough money to live?

Just mentioning this because I see/notice that I've barely posted to my blog last month. (and even just social media in general) Why? Because I haven't been doing anything! Seriously, I go to work and I get home and I work out most nights (watch some Pretty Little Liars) and then I wanna sleep, but can't. I feel like I'm in a weird funk. I keep reminding myself of things coming up, like... the Niagara Con coming up in a month, tattoo appointments and then our big trip to Jamaica for a wedding on October. But even that doesn't always help me...

But I am still here. I am still pretty active on IG and I still check all my favourite blogs. My blog won't die... I mean, good thing I don't make any money off my blog because then I'd feel bad. But I just want to put it out there. When I don't feel like posting, I just don't. I'm sure most people aren't worried haha... Anyways, check out some pretty hair pictures below!

Ugh, this movie was amazing! Okay, I might be exaggerating a little but I did really, really like this movie. If you saw the trailer then you know its basically a movie about something following you, taking on the appearance of anyone. And if it catches you, it'll kill you. The only thing you can do is run from it, or pass it on. This movie was creepy. I feel like I haven't seen a good scary/horror movie in a while. There's almost no special effects or CGI. It's just people walking creepily towards the camera with an amazing soundtrack. And that was enough. It got me! (A bunch of times.) The music in the movie alone is scary! Scary, beautiful and awesome. The whole movie is basically tensing up and then relaxing. Tense. Relax. Tense. Relax. And that's how you should feel during a Horror movie. You should feel how the characters are feeling. (You can listen to the 'It Follows' soundtrack here.) I love it so much, I've already per-ordered the record. I think it would be a great record to play around Halloween time. If you scare easy this may not be a good movie for you, but If you're like me and you love a good scary movie, Go check this one out! It's a little weird, different and there is no clear ending but it's one of those movies you can't get out of your head.

I was told to go see this one because I'd like it. We ended up seeing this one at The Fox Theatre because it wasn't playing at our regular theatre. I liked it. There were some pretty funny parts in the movie, especially the first half. I don't know if I would ever need/want to watch it again, but maybe?

The trailer for this movie was better than the actual movie. Okay. It wasn't that bad! There were some really almost 'scary' parts... or parts where I was like, 'omg!?' But other all, this movie should not have been made. What was the point? This movie had no direction. It would have been better as a documentary or something like that. The best part was the acting from Jonah Hill and James Franco. So what was this? Just something for their resume? Maybe...

P.S. I've been thinking about turning my monthly movie reviews into videos! Basically it would be Justin and I talking about the movies we saw that month. I would still do a write up on my blog (like I do now) but I would also include a fun video for you guys to watch too.

Doing: Taxes and some spring cleaning. Went out to IKEA recently and bought some fun things like a new coffee table (on wheels!) and of course, pillows.

Eating: Salads... but also pizza.

Thinking about: Niagara Falls Con! It'll be here before I know it. I still got a bunch of new headbands and bows to make before then. I have so much fabric but I also want to get more...

Watching: 3rd rock from the sun. I didn't watch this show that much when it was originally on air but it is pretty funny!! Also just started (and already finished) re-watching Escaflowne. Love(d) it!

Looking forward to: The next couple months. We don't really have any big plans so that means I get some weekends to myself, to do whatever I want. Maybe start a new sewing project or finish that whale painting... Also, I just purchased the DVD set of Gundam Wing and I can't wait to re-watch it. One of my favourites!

Reading: Ms. Marvel and Jem and The Holograms.

Loving: The weather lately. So nice to not be freezing. I'm ready to get rid of these layers.

Kingsman: The Secret Service

I remember seeing a trailer for this movie a while ago and thinking 'meh', we'll see if we watch this one. Then I found out Justin really wanted to see it and other people had been telling me what a good movie it is (great action sequences etc), so we went. And it was amazing! Yes the action/fighting sequences were very cool. Reminded me a bit of how the action shots were done in 'Watchmen' but with a twist. Very interesting and I liked it! Story was interesting enough and the main actor is a cutie. Haha. If you haven't already, go see this one. Kind of reminds me of a James Bond movie...but for today?

Justin was the one that really wanted to see this one. I was kind of.... indifferent. The movie itself was pretty different than what we were expecting, but in a good way! I love Chappie's character and the way he talked and his development. It was weird seeing Ninja and Yolandi in the movie at first. Yolandi did a pretty great job thought. I actually really liked her character a lot. Other than that, I don't have much to say about this one. (Hugh Jackman in those shorts, I couldn't take him seriously... haha) I liked this movie but I'm not in love with it. If you liked District 9 at all then you should check this movie out. They both have the same sort of.. 'feel'. And obviously it's the same director.

I really wanted to see this movie, mainly because it looked so pretty. We decided to try out the VIP section of the theatre for this one. I feel like it's well worth the extra cost. Big comfy chairs and being waited on before the movie starts. Pretty cool. Totally going to try to see more movies (especially ones directed at families/kids) in VIP from now on.

But anyways, the movie... it was good. Not great but I liked what they did with it. They stayed true to the story we all know and love but put a bit of a modern twist on it, which I really liked. The dresses and costumes were so pretty in this movie! I do feel like her dress was maybe a bit too long and a bit too...big because during the dance I kept waiting for him to step on it, haha. Definitely go see this one if you are a fan of the story and/or a fan of Disney. We left the theatre feeling good and that's always a good sign.

Hair appreciation: #2

Hey, look! New hair! I've had this hair colour(s) for about 2 weeks now. I did it before the Toronto ComiCon because I thought it would be fun to have colourful hair for a convention. And I've always wanted colourful hair! It didn't take too much time to do. Maybe a little extra time because of all the separating and awkwardly wrapping my hair with tinfoil. I had to get Justin to help with the back.

I think the most annoying part was bleaching. I normally just do a small bleach bath or I only do my roots If I'm sticking with the same colour. But I had to do a lot more for this multicoloured hair. I ended up doing like, 2 (or 3?) vitamin C treatments and 2 bleach baths! The vitamin C treatments barely did anything this time around (must be because I switched to the 'punky colour' brand?) and by the end of it all, my hair was mostly a light blonde/white on the top and a light peachy colour on the ends. I should have done one more bleach bath but I was getting annoyed/bored, plus I wanted to get to the fun part... adding the actual colour to my hair!

As you can see it came out... alright. Well. Okay! It's pretty good for my first time. This was my first time doing more than 2 colours in my hair. So, It's not a perfect job but It's not horrible! I definitely learned a lot. But I gotta say... I hate the green. All the other colours look good, except the green. It. Just. Looks. Blah!! I'm either going to try to keep this hair for a month or two or I'm thinking of going purple/pink. If I do decide to try to keep the colourful hair, I will be going over the green with a blue or purple. It needs to go! But we shall see... my grandma is visiting from Poland this summer and I don't know if she's ready for this hair, Haha.
