A sacred image

Aloha everyone,

A friend of mine e-mailed me this image as part of a chain letter. I have always disliked chain letters with their veiled threat that if you fail to pass them on, something bad will happen, but if you do pass them on, something wonderful will happen. I liked the image and the blessing, so I thought I would change it a bit and pass it along.

The nice part about working with angels is you begin to realize you can keep the love and leave the fear behind. Allow this image to bless you and fill you with love. If you feel so moved, feel free to share it with others. If any of you know the original author I'd love to know.

Aloha everyone,

As the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words. Just imagine yourself standing here and allow the beauty and wonder fill your heart and your mind. And notice how the same spot can look so different, the same is true of your life.

With love and aloha,
Susan

What's in an angel's name?

Aloha everyone,

I had someone e-mail me the other day and ask me to explain the difference between angels and archangels. I was surprised when I began doing research on angels. In some explanations on angels, there were levels to heaven, archangels, cherubims/cherubs, and all sorts of celestial beings. At first I found it confusing, but then I finally decided all the names were merely part of the job descriptions. At the end of the day, they were all angels helping people feel loved and connected to their divinity.

I'd like to thank my reader for asking the question, and here is the explanation I wrote in the introduction to my book, "The Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters."

Angels and archangels are spiritual beings whose primary function is to act as intermediaries between mortals and God. Angels have fascinated human beings for millennium. The are usually depicted as very graceful and beautiful beings with wings. When someone says, "You're an angel" they usually mean you are a blessing and have probably been very helpful.

About Pele
Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of the volcano as well as the goddess of transformation, passion, vitality and creation. Pele is a powerful force on the Hawaiian islands. Shortly after I moved to Hawaii, a friend suggested I have my property blessed. I asked Pele if I could live and work on her land. She graciously agreed, so I always take time to thank her and ask for her blessing in my endeavors.
