I went to my physio yesterday (as I have been all year)partly for my calf and also for the headaches (the reason I have been going). Yesterday was the first day he said he thinks it is more than muscular problems. :( He wants me to return to my doctor and have him suss out intercranial bleeding! I am also going to book in for acupuncture.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had 2 lots of kinesiology, but while it was good for me emotionally, it did nothing for my headaches. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I have been told to take it easy. Rest off the calf for 2 weeks and get to the dr asap. Will have Loj make an appointment for me for Monday arvo. I hope I can get in, as the doctors are always booked up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for my calf...well, I kinda didn&#39;t help matters last night. We had a staff social event at ten pin bowling. Not the best for my calf and hel, after every bowl I had the 20 sec headache. By the end of the night, I felt drunk-headachy and nauseous- even though I hadn&#39;t been drinking. Went on camp with them in March for a week. The first afternoon in their free time, I took the cross country runners for a run along the beach. Bad me, didn&#39;t cool down properly, and that night while in the middle of the Nutbush, my left calf went &quot;pop&quot;. Ouchy! I had to sit, almost fainted from the pain.  That set me back in my training for the Mother&#39;s Day classic this year. I was so upset.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;THen I start with my habitual crappy eating! Change gyms in June and was back on track.  This last month (AUgust) was full on at school with Wakakirri (like Rock Eisteddfod)etc. So gym was put to the back and the food, well was BAD. At least 2 chocolate bars a day, rappy takeaway! :(:(:(&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also did the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run again this year. Ran the whole 12kms and was only 3 minutes slower than last year. Very happy with that! I was really quite sick (head cold etc) that morning.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then last Sunday, hit the gym with a passion and was doing bench lunges (after warming up!!!) and was on my third set and POP goes the calf again! It is a week later and still a little sore, but a lot better than last time as I could take time off!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So...I got onto the scales at my parent&#39;s house this morning and almost died. I am back in the 80s (82kg) which is 10kg above my goal weight. I am sincerely happy with my weight (and appearance)at around 75, so I have a few goals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My WL goals:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. TO get back into the 70s&lt;br /&gt;2. To hit 75kg&lt;br /&gt;3. To get to goal of 72kg again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My exercise goals:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. To take it easy while calf is on the mend (focus on upper body weights and abs!!)&lt;br /&gt;2. To get back into my running. (Find another fun run for the end of the year!)&lt;br /&gt;3. Keep up my gym program.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My lifestyle goals:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. To be kind to me!!&lt;br /&gt;2. To eat better and be accountable!&lt;br /&gt;3. To be more positive and happy :)&lt;br /&gt;4. BLOG!!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I will check my weigh in on Saturday which will be my official weigh in day. Had a good breakfast of a boiled egg, fresh fruit salad sprinkled with rolled oats.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;HEaded to the gym to do upper body. OMG! I have never done so much for just upper body. I usually do 45 mins weights, but that includes both upper and lower body!  Have to research and check with PT about which exercises are specifically for back/shoulders etc :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;OMG...as I type this, Charlotte is next to me doing &quot;Burpies&quot; that I did last week in the back yard and adding her &quot;now run&quot;. If anything, I am setting a great example for my kids :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had my first Myoplex shake today!! THe chocolate one that Jadey sent me. I definitely LOVE that! They only have vanilla at until the shipment come in at the shop I have already paid for. I really want the choclovers one I think! I might have to take you up on getting some from you Jadey until the shipment comes in. I can either pay you for them or as you suggested, send some back to you when they come back. Either way! I need to make sure they send the bars though! I am trying out some from Coles (different varieties) and will do for the moment, until my order comes in.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I found it hard yesterday to eat the 6 meals. I think it is because the breakfast was so full on. I think I would change this morning&#39;s breakfast to no egg, but putting cottage cheese over the fruit to add to the protein (is that right??). Ummm and would the rolled oats be carbs??&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Okies....gonna play with the kiddles as it is back to work for me tomorrow :( Don&#39;t feel like I have had a holiday at all! I am pretty pumped thanks to the girls at LITS- more so for the body sculpting over the weightloss...! I have been away at a conference in Caloundra this week and ate my way through 4 days away from my babies and soulmate! All good...I called it my last hurrah! ;)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Soooo I shopped and have the menu up for the week. I will do the 12 week challenge for me. Will probably finish a little early as the last week hits Christmas. But how hot am I gonna look this Christmas!! :) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I ordered the books online and am waiting for them to arrive and had ordered and paid for the myoplex shakes online, only to get the call and email to tell me that all the stock is stuck in a container on the docks!! Luckily, the ever sweet Jadey, sent me up some samples to try. Might be a blessing in disguise, as some of the girls have said they don&#39;t like it :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, am so going to kick butt with my weights. Neither a gain or a loss. Kinda frustrating as I have worked arse off exercise wise this week...but then I think I ate all my exercise points too....It is just the eating thing I need to get in control of again...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;BUT...in positive things...when I saw I hadn&#39;t lost anything this morning, I didn&#39;t do my usual rant and rave an breakdown. I think it is because I don&#39;t have the stress and pressure of WW lifetime hanging over me like I did before. I have an American buddy who is online keeping me honest, so I am posting my food diary online in a journal the two of us share. My eating is getting back to healthy, so I should be back to GW in a few weeks!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I love my new personal trainer too. She is working me way harder than my old one, as he did purely weights with me. Cathy has me doing cardio resistance training (I think that is the correct term!) and man am I sweaty and sore afterwards.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She is also one of the teachers for Body Attack/Pump/Combat...which could be good (or bad...depending how I look at it)...before I could just sail along in those classes, now she knows my name and pushes me! (SO I guess that is good! HEHE).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have one more week of school before the holidays. Will work my butt off at the gym the first week and then I am at Caloundra Mon-Thurs of the second week at a Learning Brain Expo (teacher thing). I have been wanting to come and type this for a while now, but have been too embarrassed to do so  BUT....it needs to be done I think. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have TOTALLY fallen off the wagon these last two months and have put on about 5kg . &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now I am not keen on excuses, but a little over two months ago, I was told that after a biopsy, that I had to go and have surgery to remove some pre-cancerous cells from my cervix. The week and a half between being told I needed surgery and the week after surgery, I just ate like shit. I was so damn upset that something could happen to me and I would leave my kids without their mother   &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know that is sooo pathetic and a bloody effed up excuse, but since then, I have found it hard to get back to eating well. I am going to go into the new challenge, but will not be doing before and after photos..I just need to be kept on track. Personally, I don&#39;t believe I have a right to win, as I won 2 challenges ago and feel like I have thrown it all in your faces, by putting the weight back on (well, not ALL of it, but you kwim). I NEED to be accountable for my food. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am pretty good with my exercise (although around the time of surgery- I did very little to none so I could be with my kids!!)...I have a new personal trainer etc. I think I am going to go back to tracking my food too. I RAN the entire 12km in 75minutes!!! I had my CP League top on and pinned a photo of TJ to it for inspiration. I was a little nervous about tackling the Gateway Bridge at the start, but as we shuffled up (sooooo many people there), it didn&#39;t seem too bad. Great views too! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I went in the Yellow group, which was runners to complete the 12km under 90minutes. I am so proud that I made it in the time for the red runners too! (Although, I do have to check my &quot;official time&quot; as I went on my watch :)). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;About half way through I passed the ballet teacher (and teacher aide-but is on Maternity Leave atm) from my school. She ran with me for a km, then needed to walk for a bit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I didn&#39;t have my camera there (wouldn&#39;t have mattered anyway, because DH and the kids were an hour late meeting me :( :(- not their fault, but I am still pissed about what DID happen that I don&#39;t want to go into it again!) and will have to check out the official pics so I can do my scrapbook (even if it isn&#39;t of me!!).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week I am getting back onto the healthy eating bandwagon! Been a little too slack lately...although when I went to my Gyno a week ago, I was weighing 68.5kg (LOVE his scales). Speaking of my gyno (still trying to get used to not calling him my Obstertrician), he found pre-cancerous cells on my cervix- CIN II (AGAIN), so I have to go for surgery on 17 August. It sucks because I have to go under a general for it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, very busy here...teaching full time, have also got a job teaching at the uni on Wednesday afternoons, so I rarely have any time to come on! TJ&#39;s diagnosis is mild form of CP. It is spastic hemiplagic, down the left side... granted it is very mild, but has been need OT, physio etc. He has a hand splint to force his thumb out and stop his hand tensing up and forming a fist. We have to go to the specialist at the end of this month to get him a splint for his leg too. Hopefully he will be &quot;normal&quot; in a few years time, perhaps with a slight limp when he goes to school.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, the reason I am posting this is because the Bridge to Brisbane has the Cerebral Palsy League as a corporate beneficiary this year. Now...if you are in Brisbane and have a corporate team, that would be great, but I know a lot of us are planning on just going in it individually. Soooo to help the CP league receive this money, and you are doing the fun run, please let me know or pm me. Once you have registered, I can email the CP league and put you in as part of the CP team. You would get a free shirt as well....but needs to be done within the next week and a half!! I can now run 8.5km comfortably, but it took 57 mintues. I am thinking ahead to the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run next month and just don&#39;t know what to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are 2 lengths. 4.5km and a 12km one. The 12km one can be walked/run and there are two lower divisions, one that everyone walking can do and then one above that where you aim to have it done in 90 minutes. I *think* it is possible to do. Once I push past that first pain barrier, I find the rest seems easy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have also realised that I am doing some small hills on my run. Not mountains as such, but the sort where you are finding it hard and then look back and see you have been doing a long slight incline. I did that particular part twice today and that is the hardest part. Even harder was that was where the (cold) wind tunnel was, so I was running up this stupid incline with wind against me :( I wasn&#39;t going to let it beat me though!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Loj has suggested waiting to chose which length I want to run until I am up around 10kms with the run and not coming against a wall. I know I would kick myself if I didn&#39;t do the 12km one though. Went for a 5.5km run (would have gone longer, but DH was waitingfor me so he could go to work), then went and did Body Combat at the gym in the evening. I was soooo tempted to stay for the Attack class too, but this time the kids were waiting for me to get home to put them to bed :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have tried most of the Les Mills classes at my gym now. Still have Body Balance to try (am thinking Sunday 9am class) and they unfortunately DONT have Body Jam. I am sure I would LOVE that class. Might pop over to Fernwood with some girls from school to do that one.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I have to say Attack is still my favourite class. I actually feel like I am burning something off in that class. Pump was boring....would prefer to do my weights out of a class, step wasn&#39;t anything special, RPM would have been ok if I didn&#39;t worry about the pain the seat gave me lol and combat last night, while a bit of fun, didn&#39;t feel like the workout I get with Attack. Attack has had me with a stitch before, out of breath etc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, DH has gone to BRisbane for a conference today and tomorrow, which meant no dumping kids on him to exercise, so I pulled out the pram and walked to daycare to drop Charlotte off and then TJ and I came home. I was feeling very proud of myself, but I tell you...I have to get myself back on track again. I have blown out on the eating and don&#39;t want to put all the weight back on.  My hubby said we will work on it together. I need to keep my exercise up too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been good with the exercise these holidays.  Been up at 6am each morning and have tried two new Les Miller classes- Body Pump and Body Step....not a huge fan of either to be honest. I love love love my Body Attack! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also went for a 4km run yesterday...those at LITS know of my run in with the dog....won&#39;t rehash it here though.  Tomorrow I will go for another run and then do Body Attack that evening.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am going to set up a new WL goal. My new goal is going to be 67kg. Considering I weighed in at 68.9kg on Saturday, it is totally doable....BUT I am sure I have gone back to 71ish, so it is about 4kgs away. Will not look at the scales except for one a fortnight. I am putting them somewhere where I can&#39;t get on them everytime I pass them. I will weigh myself fortnightly to keep tabs and WW once a month. I just don&#39;t want to obsess with the numbers anymore and want to focus on the fitness levels and my clothes fitting from now on!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am on school holidays now for the next two weeks, so I am planning on going to the gym daily during the day while the kids are at daycare, have netball on Wednesday night and need to work on toning my abs etc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All very exciting! Oh...have to clean the house from top to bottom (tend to let it slide during term), so that will be a workout in itself. I easily did 5kms with my running.....while there thought seriously about the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run. &lt;br /&gt;http://www.bridgetobrisbane.com.au/home.htm&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I KNOW I can run the 4.5km course easily (and am hoping that Renee will do it with me!!! :)) but if I don&#39;t have a running partner *cough* Renee...I might look into the 12km!! Unfortunately THAT course involves going OVER the Gatweway Bridge!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, feel really good about my workout today. I have completed 4 weeks, with 3 more weigh ins to go until I get my lifetime membership key! I have managed to stay under goal for this entire time too. Well... 2kgs under. This week might change a little, but I am playing around with what I can eat and stay within my goal and what exercise I need to do. Will see on Saturday how this week went (I haven&#39;t exercised much- only pt on Monday and exercise bike...just been feeling really flat). I also have AF this week, so not sure if that will make a huge difference.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have booked another 8 week session with my pt. I figure I need just that little more to push me. I am, however feeling really tired a lot lately. It doesn&#39;t help that TJ has been having bad nights, teething and a cold and that I have been dealing with that. School has been full on with Wakakirri and student teachers (oh and my class!!) Went to WW to weigh in on Saturday morning (instead of Tuesday evenings-will still work at the Tues meetings though) and almost fell off the scales when they said I was UNDER my goal weight. It is actually way under as I went to my dr and he measured my heing and I am not 168cm, but 170cm, so my goal weight was 72, not 71kg. And I ended up with 70.8kg!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I flew home from the weigh in and then we finished getting organised for our trip to Brisbane. Stopped on the way through for lunch at my friend&#39;s house (the one getting married next month) then went and checked into our hotel. We didn&#39;t stay with mum and dad this weekend because they live 30 mins from the city and I had the fun run at 730am in the city on Sunday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We then walked across to the museum so the kids could have a look around, back via Maccas (and subway for us) for dinner and just chilled the night at the hotel. We had two double beds, so I had TJ with me and Loj had Charlie. I tell you, I couldn&#39;t have woken next to a more adorable face this morning. TJ was right next to me chatting away!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I got my gift and cards from Loj and the kids (a beautiful gold chain to put my heart locket on-had one, but Charlie broke the clasp when she was a baby!), then we got organised to go across to South Bank for the run.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Had to be there to get my registration stuff by 7am, so we made it by 645am. Put my number on and race chip on my shoelace and pottered around until my parents came in.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The run (4km) started at 745am, so Loj came to the starting line with me to try and take pics, but it was so busy, he missed it. I tell you, it was the most emotional thing I have done in ages. The fun run was to raise money for Breast Cancer Research, so a lot of people had signs on their back dedicating the race to someone they knew who had breast cancer or had died from it. I chocked up a few times when I saw &quot;Mum&quot; on someone&#39;s back or a name with dates on it. :cry:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did a personal best too. Found the actual run sooooo easy. A lot easier than when I have been doing it around here. I think it was because I wasn&#39;t running alone...dunno. Got such a buzz out of it too!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I finished, got my meda (!!!-well everyone got one) and then we headed over to the city and had breakfast with my parents. Now, this is soooooo frustrating because I exercised twice a day ALL week!! I did my run (4kms) at least once a day, on Friday and today I did another 3km with the kids at school with their cross country training. So 7kms today, and only .2kg :( Not to mention the restricted sugar I had! :(&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We had a little staff meeting after WW tonight and I was discussing it with others.  People are telling me that I need to shake the exercise up, but I need to do the running so I will be ok for the fun run in less than two weeks.  I also don&#39;t *just* run...I do a weights program (mainly with my PT), do Body Attack classes, walk with my DH and the kids, get on the exercise bike. You know I already do a VARIETY!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another suggestion was that maybe for the AMOUNT of exercise I do, I am not eating enough.???!?!?! If you look at the WW exercise points, I am doing at least 10 points a day, but don&#39;t bank them to have a feast- maybe I should???&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Does anyone have any suggestions? I only have 1.1kg to go and it is starting to really pi$$ me off. I feel like I am doing so much for little reward.  And another thing I am worried about, if I did this amount of exercise to get a 200g WL...will I have to do similar to maintain&gt;????
