{Visual Research} ABOUT DAVID BOWIE

2018-04-10T13:25:00.000+02:00

Three years ago I went to the exhibition 'David Bowie Is' at The Museu del Disseny de Barcelona. The retrospective created a comprehensive audio-visual exhibition experience using multimedia technology at the most advanced technical level, what a experience! The exhibition also focuses on his collaborative work with artists and designers, and demonstrates how his work has both influenced and been influenced by wider movements in art, design, music, and theater. Here some of the references that I found most interesting and visually appealing, enjoy!

{VISUAL DIARY} An 'abstraction' of my thoughts

2017-09-23T18:33:00.001+02:00

It's been a while since I didn't write on this blog. This is not a beginning, neither a farewell. This is just some minutes of my life collecting what I love: PICTURES... and trying to relate them into my moment in life. Asking myself why these images are interesting for me right now, I see them, and I enjoy them. I hope you enjoy them in some way. As always, everything written here is an 'abstraction' of my thoughts... don't get too serious.

September is back, and... work too.

Or doing...

Go back to work?

Instead, you look and discover new concept stores online...

...with EXACTLY WHAT DO YOU NEED.

A bookend could be more fun? When decoration and art get mixed there's always a good result.

How I feel about the situation in Catalunya...

But me and my friends are all the time talking about it...WTF is going on?

(by Mar Ordoñez)

I think we feel like the women characters of 'Peaky Blinders'...

We are even thinking on a new 'revolutionary' haircut, but still chic & cool, of course.

And buying animal patterned shirts that make us brave and with no regrets of knowing that you will only wear that shirt ONCE. Oh, and please buy the biggest earring you see in the shop...

That's super-cool now, even if you wonder if these earrings are heavier than the platforms shoes that where 'in vogue' two years ago.

I compensate my anger playing with the decoration of my home, wasting hours on Pinterest and seeing what's the best option...

...when I realise it was better when I just move in, with NOTHING.

Like if my 50m square flat could be ever a minimal art piece...

With the 'back to school' post-vacation depression, we forget how wonderful is this time to wear those 'intermediate' clothes that we do not fit in the closet. The thin jacket you've worn three times, the wool pants but with short ankle ... Keep up with your summer-island-zen role of the holidays and do not renounce yet to the black uniform. Summer vibes, giving the entrance to the cold and the autumn breeze. Here are three proposals 'timeless' and that I'm sure you already have in your wardrobe, ways to combine three classics or make a new purchase that you are not going to throw or give away in three months.

'This is what our generation will look like when we retire' says VICE about this photograph project of Alex de Mora, and they are right. Although my mother was punk and although the black tights are still her basic closet, at least she is no longer wearing dye hair... The studio photography with friendly color backgrounds, with moderate contrast, has a kitsch vibe and a theme (eternal youth) make this editorial a curious series.

{HOMESTYLE} White Zen Decoration

2013-04-02T14:54:00.000+02:00

The Zen style is characteristic by its organic wood surfaces, a large layout, and open views of nature. Sometimes this in a apartment in the middle of a big city is not possible, but plants will help. The whites and the contrast with some dark furniture will give a warm touch. Add some red or yellow small elements (a chair or a lamp) to give energy and good vibes.

Looking for a pineapple

2012-11-26T11:35:00.002+01:00

There is always an object/animal/motif that appears various forms, in photographs of fashion editorials, in videos, in ads... Well, I don't know if they will be right, but I like it, is the 'Pineapple' (or 'Piña' in spanish). This element will give a different touch to the upcoming trends, H & M already selected it for spring-summer collection'13.
