New Angry Birds Space episode - Welcome to Utopia!

The wait is over. We know you’ve been asking for new levels, we know a lot of you have 3 starred Angry Birds Space, and we know that some of you have even beaten the Danger Zone.

So, here it is, our next episode, with more planets and more sweetness: Utopia!

We won’t get too bogged down with the details, but here are a couple of important points:
#1 There’s food. And lots of it.
#2 Why is it called Utopia? Because our fans are awesome.

Our fan Hayyie came up with the name “Utopia”, securing an exclusive piece of Angry Birds Space art as a prize for winning our competition a couple of months ago. Having the privilege of naming the next episode was never meant to be part of the prize, but after seeing the name, concept art and Hayyie’s sheer enthusiasm: We decided to run with it!

Utopia was born!

Now, we can’t just go around plucking names and ideas out of the cosmos, but this competition gave us the perfect opportunity to put things into action a little more directly than usual. We’re always listening to you and we try to act on feedback whenever we can, whether it’s something you’re unhappy with or something you can’t get enough of.

Utopia is also a friendly reminder that we get excited about the same things as you. In this case, it’s FOOD! So, with that in mind... Go enjoy!

Rovio Launches Facebook Game, ‘Angry Birds Friends’

Rovio announced a new social, competitive addition to the Angry Birds universe Wednesday morning.

Angry Birds Friends invites Facebook users to play weekly challenges against their Facebook friends. Players can win power-ups and gold crowns for beating their friends’ scores.

Additionally, Rovio will release new levels each week for Angry Birds Friends players. The game is playable now on Facebook.

While Angry Birds was already available on Facebook, Angry Birds Friends offers deeper social integration so players can easily see how they did against their friends. It also has Facebook Timeline features, and will post high scores on the player’s timeline.

This Facebook release continues Angry Birds dominance; the franchise recently hit 1 billion downloads, helped dramatically by the release of Angry Birds Space earlier this year.

There are plenty of jokes, new birds (though similar), hidden bonus grids and the very difficult challenges. It is true that from the beginning to the boards in the Space-timers may seem simple, but the difficulty level increases with time, and additional boards are becoming a big challenge. I sat down to play for a while and pulled away after an hour. It’s probably enough for the whole comment.
Is it worth it?

This question is not here make sense. This is the Angry Birds, a phenomenon that will power mobile games for a long time and there is nothing to discuss. We are VERY excited to announce our next game: Angry Birds Space! It’s going to be the biggest game launch since the original Angry Birds!
Angry Birds Space is a completely new game with innovative new gameplay, but with some of the familiar Angry Birds elements that fans already know and love — plus some surprises!
We’re going to announce more information in early March, and on March 22nd we will launch simultaneously in mobile gaming, animation, retail, and publishing. Not only is this a first for us as an integrated entertainment company, but the first time this has ever been done for a mobile game!
