Edhi, One of Pakistan's greatest Humanitarians passes away

Once there was a legend, who consumed his life for humanity. He set new standards of selflessness and charity. His services for humanity has surpassed all the bounds. This man was a Pakistani who was admired and revered by all and sundry. But alas, as of 8th July 2016 at the ripe, old age of 88; this soul is no more among us but he will live in our hearts forever. He is a true role model for humanity.

Even leading up to his untimely demise, he wanted to help and thus, donated his organs. Though, only his cornea could be used as the rest of his organs weren't healthy. I hope whoever receives his cornea not only gets his sight but also his vision for the world. His now, famous quote, 'No religion is higher than humanity" can not be any more relevant in these times with rampant extremist attacks, ultra-nationalistic xenophobia on the rise among other things.

He was beacon of light and sanity. With just two sets of clothes and an iron will, he's left a philanthropic legacy that will be admired for decades to come. From humble beginnings in Gujarat and horrified by the post-partition standards in his new country, he opened his first clinic and reportedly begged on the streets of Karachi for money to buy a ambulance. The Edhi foundation now owns a fleet of emergency assisstance vehicles which includes over 1800 ambulances, 28 rescue boats and 2 planes.

He said that his mother would give him two paisa, one to spend for himself and the other to spend for another. Edhi would also make no distinction between faith, ethnicity when it came to his facilities and would often criticized by some fundamentalists for it.

One notable time he irked some fundamentalists was when the Edhi Foundation introduced a cradle outside many of its offices so that parents who did not want their babies could leave them at their centres instead of killing them or throwing them in garbage, the foundation faced backlash from the clerics.

“Religious leaders led a vicious campaign against the Edhi Foundation, claiming that we were encouraging children born out of wedlock,” says Edhi. “But we were only saving babies from dying, safeguarding their right to live.”

The applications increase the number of things one can do using their smartphones. A smartphone has several advantages as it is lighter and easier to carry around. PTA at it Again (Banning Progressive Facebook Pages)

Ahh PTA, when will you ever learn? First Youtube, then Twitter and even SMS packages because its 'immoral'. And now banning progressive and Liberal pages preaching for a more tolerant and hate-free Pakistan such as Roshni, Taliban are Zaliman (oppressors), Bhangvi and Laal. Ironically pages and websites linked with extremists groups are free and accessible for everybody calling for open-hatred and persecution of minority groups and anti-state action.

I would have written more but since I have my exams I think this excerpt below will describe my thoughts just fine.

In 5th June, 2014 Pakistan Telecommunication Authority connived with Facebook to ban nearly all Pakistani progressive, secular and liberal pages campaigning for a Pakistan with human rights, social justice, equality and no terrorism.

The irony is that anti state, Taliban pages operate with impunity while the voices of moderation and sanity are silenced by the state organ responsible for regulating telecommunication.

Pakistan is a country haunted by a troubled past and its involvement in Afghan Soviet war tattered the social fabric, society was deeply radicalized religiously and space for progressive discourse shrank over the years until broadband internet penetration began to see a stellar rise in Pakistan under General Pervaiz Musharraf's reign. The introduction of broadband internet provided some space for the progressive and moderate forces

This development also blessed the embattled progressive Pakistanis with an unparalleled opportunity to channel their narrative to a much larger audience and that too without the fear of persecution in a society where being aligned with liberal thought alone merits ones life to be taken away. This was because the web offered a certain degree of anonymity.

The social media, particularly Facebook effectively started giving a new picture of things earlier obscured because a variety of factors including state censorship. This increasing spread of awareness potentially has the ability to contribute to a change in the Status Quo with a better aware policy.

Due to the effectiveness of this media in propagating alternative narratives to the people, the forces of status quo approached Facebook and entered an agreement with it under which any dissenting opinion propagating page could be banned by Facebook under the plea of PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority).

Article 19 of UNDHR states: "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

Blocking of nearly ALL Progressive Pakistani Facebook pages without a notice by PTA is a breach of article 18 and 19 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights.Today, Pakistani progressives need their global compatriots, let us truly be global citizens and fight repression.

Capitalism n' Stuff

Growing up, I used to admire this lovely canopy that was across the road from my house. The mixture of pine and oak trees was beautiful and made one feel at peace when they gazed at it. The scenery within a mile of my house had a similar effect on the soul. The wildlife of East Texas redeems it from the cesspool of backwards, offensive people and backwards, offensive views.

The wood was plentiful, and it was only a matter of time until someone's greedy eyes saw the money in the trees instead of the beauty in it. It was sad to see the canopy and some of the other trees go, annoying to hear the machines early in the morning, and unpleasing to look at the desolation where the canopy once flourished. To top it all off, one of the rednecks destroying my lovely jungle decided to park his car on the edge of my family's property.

I know that they're going to replant (or so they promise), but it makes me sad nonetheless. To add on to this, the local wild hog population around my property was displaced, so they were running everywhere. On property, in front of cars, et cetera. They're rather dangerous, and displaced hogs are arguably worse.

Anyway, this whole thing has got me wondering if profit is always worth it. Are there moral limits to what you can do to legally get money? Is it wrong to rob a neighborhood of the beauty of nature for a pretty penny? Naturally, I'm very biased, but what do you guys from the outside think?

Life is full of endless twists & twirls but how you whether through them defines who you really are.

Enough has already been penned and reported on the issue, but we just don’t seem to come out of this eloquence.It seems baffling at first, the substance that GENERALLY, we trend to think that dwelling in another domicile, being international, is appealing all the time, but yes, ethics cannot be confined to an entire race, culture or civilization (States are not Planets Of Hats). Those who are sweating to adhere with Brits (This is the good idea), you will feasibly fail instead of whatever preparations you try, but you can do a fairly good job if you are entirely focused.

Let's turn on steam at Pakistani people living abroad,who had implanted themselves as British citizens, would never dump their British nationalities. Although by their tone, language, convention and customs, they are Pakistanis but by passport they are British nationals. They are modernized and adapting to western society. They have compensated their cultural tradition, heritage and identity for a western custom (Black on the outside, white on the inside i.e; coconut). They remain un-uttered about their national pedigree, just to avoid useless trouble. After every effort they made to hook up with Brits they are still not accepted and are sabotaged by western society. They in fact are marginalized. For British society they are “too black” or “too Asian and back home (i.e.,Pakistan) they are anticipated as “too white” or “too western\"(chocolate coated westerners). As we look further into this behavior, we realize that they do have genuine reasons. Pakistani Diaspora being slurred in their workplaces; our students being slammed and contra-distinguished against in the developed world, Pakistani passport raises eyebrows at airports. I can personally uphold for the straight stuff that anyone who is not a local or a gora, is subject to serious injustice, and Pakistanis too are pierced in a meticulous manner.

Let’s just altogether forget for a while about the overseas Pakistanis. It is sad to witness that Pakistanis who live at home speak Urdu in an English accent, almost as though it were ‘cool’ to stammer as long as reading Urdu, because you ‘forgot’ it. Treat dupattas as a clog on their feeble shoulders, wish to study abroad (“status symbol”) degrading themselves and their language in front of white people and try to blend in their system (where we are 2nd grade citizens with a weird accent.), which is so unlikely impossible...thence called 'Burger' (dying to be called ‘gora saab’!). I reckon why? For what? Not worth it,wanting to become westernized and seeing this as development But in real it’s all because of our mental captivity. By confessing the West’s superiority, we give up our integrity, our honor and our society.

The most that has affected people is certainly cynicism and stereotypes that, now becoming reciprocal for Pakistanis, either living in Pakistan or abroad. Cynicism, I vision is predominant in our people but the fact is that we can bring change for the better! (and please! stop making an elephant out of fly) We just need to illuminate our souls not to hand over Pakistan. So what we actually need is to live in the modern world but without simply portraying blindly the designs made by the West.

This is my first attempt at writing. If I get enough response (we never have enough) next time you hear from me i will be writing tips for "how to fake a British accent" (for those who are really interested).

Admins response: As someone whose lived outside Pakistan for quite a bit, I can relate to it. It does feel like we don't fit in both worlds, but it's not like it isn't possible. Every migrant group feels this way in the beginning, even the early white eastern European immigrants in America (even though they looked the same as the "natives"). But assimilation is all part of the progress. Pakistan can be an example, early Muhajir migrants from India faced discrimination (That's what the Muhatima Quami Movement was found). Now they're accepted as Pakistanis and valuable members of society. Now look at the Afgan migrants, they speak Urdu with a funny accent, aren't accepted as Pakistanis widely, even those who have been born here and lived their entire lives. See where I'm going at? It's not that, they're dumping their culture, though I'm aware of the wannabes you speak of, it's part of the progress.

Maybe the case in England is slightly different to that of the U.S or Canada due to Pakistan and it's shared history. Many have assimilated, are considered British citizens by the masses and aren't thought of as 2nd grade citizens, aren't known as that foreigner with that weird accent, they speak the same way as the populous. I know some British Pakistanis who do share some traits you speak of but if you put them in their shoes Britain IS their home, if they want to associate with a a place they go to one every 3-4 years for a month is their choice. And they shouldn't be considered wannabe 'goras' or mocked because of it. Many members of the Indian diaspora assimilated, sure that may be stereotyped as convenience store owners, now as skilled workers but are considered part of North America's shared migrant culture. Same as British Pakistanis, I mean with a population of 1+million plus there's no going back I'm afraid.

It's best to make peace with what you've got. And let's not forget about mix-raced Pakistanis...this world is grey, not straightforward as black and white.

Before I begin, I’d like to apologize for my sub-par writing
skills. Although I’m not the worst out there, I don’t do this often, and what you get might be more of a rant or something very rough (perhaps both!) than anything. On top of that, I have my nephew in the same room as me playing with my dogs. I love him to death, but god, he can be distracting.

Anyways, if you’ve been keeping up with current events recently, you might know about all sorts of things happening in America and across the globe, from that verdict in the Trayvon Martin case that let another child murderer get away to Edward Snowden and his noble work to put information and power into the hands of the people. Today, instead of racial tensions emerging from the Trayvon Martin case, I’ll be focusing on our good ol’ pal, Edward.

I’ll give a quick summary for those who haven’t been keeping up with current events recently or just haven’t learned about this yet. Edward Snowden was an intelligence contractor and system admin for the NSA (National Security Agency) who exposed the USA and UK’s spy programs, called PRISM (US) and Tempora (UK) that were (and still are) violating the privacy of not only their citizens, but citizens of other people from other countries. When he leaked this data, a cocktail of people got pissed for a cocktail of reasons. The people and other governments got pissed for being spied on and having their privacy violated, and the governments that were spying got pissed for having their privacy violated (because they honestly seem to care about privacy).

Wait… let’s think about this for a moment, okay? The US and UK governments, who were violating the privacy of others, are upset because they had their privacy violated in return? Because privacy is so sacred?! You feel like you can violate our privacy all you like, but God forbid that yours get violated for the benefit of everybody that’s a victim of this illegal treachery! I wish I could say with honesty that I can’t believe that they’d do this, but this is something I can believe. This is the kind of the shady crap that my government would do. God bless the USA.

Snowden lived a comfortable life in Hawaii with a girlfriend, a good job, and an awesome surname before he told us about this. He flew to Hong Kong and revealed this treachery of the US and UK goverments on our right to privacy to the world, a noble move that cost him everything (except his awesome last name; seriously, isn’t it just dope?). He’s since been stuck in Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, Russia. He’s been seeking asylum in a few countries and, according to recent reports, has had a hard time getting to other countries because of, you guessed it, the good ol' US government.

Snowden is a hero to me. This guy gave up his good life to do the right thing, something which most of us wouldn’t do (let’s face it, we enjoy our normal lives and wouldn’t throw them away in the name of what’s right and good, but this guy did just that). This guy has been through hell for three weeks in an airport and I wish him Godspeed through his journey and struggle.

Stuck in a rut: Pakistan's Political Scene

With Raja Pervaiz Ashraf getting the premiership, I decided not to worry about Pakistan anymore. I was determined to move from here as soon as I find an opportunity. However, today again I feel like I should post something. It's all about the "selection" 2013. (Yeah you heard that right! Not election, I said selection)

Starting from the fiascoes of the PPP government to Nawaz Sharif's so called opposition party, to Pervaiz Illahi's becoming the deputy premier (that was an invention, btw) to Imran Khan fever among all the kiddos of the country, I have a lot to say. Lets not talk about PPP or Nawaz Sharif and confine ourselves to Imran Khan today. Allow me to talk about the "Jinnah" of this gumrah-kun nation.

Imran Khan rose up with such a momentum that we all thought he will clean sweep this time. Those music concerts, t-shirts posing IK as the revolutionist of the century and the heated speeches of him (not to mention those memes) are still up on my mind. To tell you how much our people got obsessed by him, those idiots started comparing him with Jinnah. I got this text from someone counting the similarities between the two. Jinnah was in the Hall of fame of his university and so do Imran. Jinnah did this and Imran also did the same. Guess they wanted Imran's photo on the currency notes instead of Jinnah's. Isn't it too much?

I Agree that Imran won the world cup for this nation. He made the first charity based cancer hospital of the country. Founded NAMAL and lots of other things. But does that mean he or anybody like him should be brought up so high? Does that mean we start expecting him to bring upon a dramatic revolution in the country? No! we cannot. And, perhaps, we should not. Don't you know how has he come up? He criticized Shaikh Rasheed very bitterly and then went to his house for electoral alliance. Wasn\'t he closed to Nawaz Sharif? Isn't he a hypocrite too? Was Jinnah like him? Did he ever do what he once condemned? I hope not.

And now, when people are supporting him he backs out. Kacchi community of Karachi supports him and dint vote for MQM or PPP in the recent pollings. Do you know what is happening to them now? They are being made hostage by MQM and PPP people. Is Imran concerned about their lives? He seems not.

To sum up, Imran is nobody but next to Zardari and Nawaz. That's it. He or anybody else cannot change our fate. Pakistan has been destined to its end. Drastic end. We have to wait for Imam Mehdi and Hazart Essa to fix all this mess. Ordinary human beings cannot correct this Pakistan. Not at all.

Automated Traffic Fines? Vehicle-To-Vehicle Communication

The Internet police have cracked down on peer-to-peer file sharing as a result of pressure from the music and recording industries. Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication would be music to the ears of municipal police and drivers if it works the way developers plan.

The Transportation Research Institute at the University of Michigan, along with the U.S. Department of Transportation, began a project last fall to study the effectiveness of V2V communication in real-life situations. The $25 million in-vivo experiment follows the driving activities of 2,800 local residents who volunteered to have their vehicles equipped with the the transmitters and receivers. The vehicles will not only communicate with their drivers via audio and visual alerts, but also with devices installed at various street corners and intersections. The study is scheduled to last through the summer of 2013.

How It Works

Ray LaHood, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation, said smart cars could ultimately reduce traffic accidents by up to 80 percent. The dedicated short-range communication technology allows equipped vehicles to warn drivers of road hazards, of imminent collisions and can even tell a red light to turn green when no other traffic is around.

LaHood told Annarbor.com that the study will determine whether a federal mandate can be implemented requiring every vehicle on the road to be equipped with the technology. The biggest hurdle, besides the effectiveness of the program, is cost. But Consumer Reports noted the price is nothing compared to the savings on medical bills (which it estimates to be $99 billion annually) and the lives saved because safer cars of V2V communication.

Automated Traffic Fines

Researchers at Carlos III University in Madrid said the automated systems could work with existing V2V technology to send driving violations directly to the vehicle through municipalities. The ticket-administration program, known as Communications and Information Technologies (CITs), would allow drivers to report who is breaking the law, while allowing offenders to communicate with nearby drivers to ask them to act as witnesses. According to an Arizona car dealership, some cars are already being equipped with communication systems for emergencies.

There is no indication that CITs are part of the University of Michigan plan, but several U.S. states are dealing with the realities of automated traffic citations already. Arizona removed speed cameras from its freeways in 2010 for several reasons, but mostly because of complaints. Most saw the cameras as an abuse of technology and a money grab for the state. There were also legal issues with the citations, with many offenders choosing to simply ignore them when they arrived in mailboxes. The citations, which are de-facto summonses to court, were technically illegal since a police officer did not physically hand it to the offender.

Mike Shulman of Ford Research told caradvice.com that even if the study proves successful, the systems could not be nationally implemented for at least six years.

I am not a blogger or writer and never have I tried my hand at it but the Pakistan India topics are always an interesting choice to begin with! Moreover the Sarabjit Case and the false potrayal of him as 'just a farmer' has forced me to let it out.

I am not an anti-Indian but the way they have reacted to this situation and similar ones has changed my view of them. Lets start with what their very well know and learned people had to say about Pakistan, Javed Akhtar called Pakistan a 'petty establishment' after the death of Sarabjit and others termed Pakistan as an insensitive nation. I ask them,if Pakistan is a petty establishment why did they release several other prisoners convicted of terrorist activites,examples can include Gopaal Daas and Surjeet Singh who were recently pardoned and sent back home safe and sound! If Pakistan is a petty estabilishment why did our soldiers send the little Indian girl,that too with new clothes,candies etc,back to India with full safety! Also,is not India a petty estabilishment too as after the Sarabjit Incident one Pakistani prisoner was attacked by his inmates in Jammu and just by the way he has been struggling for a living as well why is this not telecasted?

Why are we still mourning Sarabjits Death who himself admitted to the 5 bomb blasts in Punjab? I am not saying the attack on Sarabjit is justified but the reaction to it was something i was appalled over! If Indian well known faces have a say and impact the way a common Indian citizen can think why dont they try to filter what they are saying and avoid spreading hate! I know a lot of Peace loving Indian citizens who are ashamed of such activites carried out by some influencial people and want stable ties with Pakistan! Their government too has managed to insult us at various ocassions but we still end up with polite gestures! An example for this could be the Indian decision of not playing cricket with Pakistan or not including our players in the Indian Premier League,i mean seriously?

As I have mentioned ealier this is not a hate blog,I also appreciate the positive things India has done in respect to Pakistan! I just could not control my frustration anymore after looking at what our media had to say about Sarabjit and what the Indians had to say about the case! Just for a fact, a couple of days back it was the 'Youm-e-Shuhda' day,there was barely any coverage because the primary focus was on an Indian spy passing away? Also,why do we forget prisoners like Qateel Siddiqui who was killed in the Pune jail back in 2012? Was Sarabjeet any better? No. He was provided with the coverage and attention because he was an Indian!

Talking about if Sarabjeet was a spy/terrorist or not..all I can say is that a common farmer is not given such a grand farewell by the government! I wonder what that says about his 'relationship' with the country! And also,the Pakistan Army is not one of the best in the world for no reason,they are smart enough to distinguish between just a drunk farmer crossing the border and a suspicious individual!

I hope i have been able to convey my point and as i have mentioned a couple of times in this very blog,this is not a hate blog,and I do not have anything against the common Indian,my blog was directed towards the Indian influencials and to a great extent the Pakistani media! I apologize for any disrespect anyone might have felt while reading this.

The Most Annoying Posts on Facebook

We all loved Facebook when it started (OK, not all of us...). It was agreat way to keep in touch with all our friends -- even the ones we weren't intouch with any more. For a reason. But we loved it anyway because it meant thatwe could spy on them and secretly judge them without having to actually beinvolved in their lives in any real way. That included frienemies from college,old flames, former co-workers and grade-school chums that we were glad to findworking at a Burger King and growing bald after picking us relentlessly (Idigress...).

BUT all that schadenfreude started to turn against us when we found thatin addition to lamentations about how much it sucked to work at Burger King,that same former grade-school chum also posted cute cat video after cute catvideo. Instead of being a source of amusement, your news feed became a reasonfor you to want to poke your own eye out every day.

Besides the cat videos, here are some of the most annoying posts you arelikely to find on Facebook (even with the most stringent requirements for whoyou let on your friend's list):

"My kids just say the darnest things..."

Yeah, we know: Your little angel is just HIGH-larious! Except she's not.And we don't need to hear about every precocious observation she has made in her adorable little lisp -- carefully typed out phonetically so we get the full effect. Save it for someone who cares: Grandma.

"My lifesucks :("

Otherwise known as #smh. Or FML. Or "I tried." These are the short, cryptic, woe-is-me posts that are crying out for you to ask "What's wrong? What happened?" but they are inevitably answered with "oh nothing" or "I don't want to talk about it" Then stop posting it on Facebook and move on!

"Click' Like' If You..."

Click "like" if you love the Lord and aren't afraid to show it. Click "like" if you support autism awareness. Click "like" if you're a Southern girl. The only reason these posts exist is self-indulgent navel-gazing. I'd like to be able to click "you are ridiculous," but it's not an option.

Self-Affirmations

Sometimes, these are actual status updates that someone wrote out themselves. Sometimes, they are meaningful quotes stuck on a photo -- usually of someone famous (usually of Marilyn Monroe). They say something like "I may be stupid and ugly, but gosh darn it! people like me -- or at least they should." Maybe it's more eloquent than that, but the sentiment is the same, and it's one that needs to be shared in group therapy, not the place you come to connect with people you haven't spoken a real work to in decades.

Duck Face

I don't know how this trend started -- or why any woman ever thought it was sexy in any way -- but it needs to end now and forever. Photos taken of yourself sticking out your lips need to never be shared. In fact, they shouldn't be taken in the first place. Actually, since we're on the subject,just stop taking photos of yourself period. Nothing looks more ridiculous or posed than that "Who me?" look paired up with the reflection of your self holding the camera.

Running Commentary

We get it: You're excited about the game, or the presidential debate, or the final episode of the Real Housewives. But you don't have to try to be the first one to break the news about whatever big thing happened. By the time you post, everyone already knows what happened. Your constant posts aren't funny or clever, they're only annoying.

Between the "Hey do you know that this celebrity died today?" posts and the requests for you to come play on a virtual farm, Facebook is starting to be a virtual minefield of annoying posts. You can hardly escape one before you go stumbling onto another.

Dabbling in Too Many Things At Once

Like most people in this tech-savy and demanding world, I'm getting wrapped in too many stuff. Sometimes it's this blog, sometime's it's my music, twitter etc. Let's not forget the
god-forsaken homework that teachers feel the need to give and...I have my exams. Just bundles of joy I tell ya'.

It all gets a bit too much handle at times, but some-how I manage. I persevere no matter how severe (yes, that was supposed to rhyme). It's like I have all these plethora of things to do and if focus on one, it has repercussions (like this blog, which went from having a Alexa rank of 300,000 to 1,100,000). Sometimes I feel like I should just let go but something keeps holding me back...

Karachi is up to it's same old antics again. Another week, another bombing; the residents here have become used to this. So used to it that we tend to forget that these are not mere stats and figures but people. With lives.

Some of us rush to social media sites expressing our 'grief' and school-going kids go contemplate whether tomorrow shall be a holiday or not. Let's not forget the good ole' media sensationalizing this by playing un-authorized dramatic soundtracks from movies showing or showing mother clutching their dead sons to their chest.

But as-always the residents of Karachi shall stay strong. Now I've lived in Karachi for almost half my life, if it's one thing it has. It's hope.

Another day, another sleepless night. These are ramblings of every insomniac. Speaking of Insomnia, I'm writing a book with the same title as this post.

I always found it funny when it's 11 p.m, I can barely in myself to keep myself awake but by the time it's 2 a.m I'm jumping all

I am so frickin' high right now.

over the place like some bunny rabbit whose high on cocaine.

Usually I'm raiding the fridge in my (usually fruitless) quest of a midnight snack or I'm walking around aimlessly with earphones plugged in wondering what I should do. As an avid gamer, I spend my nights wrapped in blanket playing video games till the crack of dawn (which by then, I'll sleep). Though, there's only so much COD you can play and currently I've pretty much finished most my single player campaigns.

For those of you who don't know or are new to this blog, every-month (starting from June) I used to make a compilation of my funniest tweets of a particular month.

The tweets were selected 0n the number of re-tweets, mentions I got and the help of some of my friends. And did I mention it was a pain in the ass manually looking for each and every tweet and than embedding them here?

But as you know, Humans are prone to mistakes and I forget to keep making these compilations sometime around August 2012. Yeah...oops.

Messiah's, Assassinations and What-not!?

Hey there guys, sorry for not posting again after some time. Blogging been taking a bit of a back-seat for me lately. Started making music again (After almost year, due to school).

Anyways, back to topic. The past few weeks for Pakistan have been volatile to say the least. Another MQM official shot dead in Karachi, and Tahir Ul Qadri; a Pakistani-Canadian Sufi Scholar turned Politician/Messiah is taking the centre stage.

His call for a "million-man march" in favour of reforms and against corruption has propelled cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri to the status as the champion of Pakistan's middle class. Although the protest in Islamabad will achieve little, it casts a spotlight on the population's growing displeasure and it's dwindling faith in Pakistan's mainstream political parties. His liberal views, his open condemnation of terrorism does have my support; though not sure on his motivation for suddenly returning to Pakistan. If he is what he says he is, then he might just turn things around or be another let-down.

I like his Sufi Ideals (and in general Sufism influences me alot) and the fact that he heads an interfaith organizations seems to bring in new hope. It's a time for these feudal political dynasties to step down and let in a new plethora of people to lead the country out of this pit of doom and on to salvation.

Though then again, I might just be another teenage blogger rambling on again about stuff I don't know that much about.

Long Vacation

Hey guys, I've been taking a long break.This blog will be back on track soon. I've noticed the Alexa rank for this blog has went up, which is bad. Hopefully I'll get everything sorted out. Pakistan's been in a bit of a turmoil these past weeks and I really wanted to blog on that. But meh, don't blame me I was vacation.

I was gonna write more for this post but I need to start researching for a MUN (Model United Nations). To be more specific, I'm taking part in MUNIK 2013 held at IBA university in Karachi. Wish my delegation luck!
