Angus Robinson's Summary

I am a well-rounded Internet professional with experience in defining web strategy, online marketing, project management, and web design. I am interested in launching new products online, social media marketing, and statistical analysis all for the end goal of creating an engaging and usable online user experience.

My interest in the web began in the mid 90's with the advent of the first web browser. Immediately seeing unparalleled potential and opportunity with the digital medium, I knew this was where I wanted to build my career. I began self-teaching html and graphic design throughout university, while completing my business degree. Since 1998, I have built over 30 websites, and project-managed several more.

Though my current position as Head of Product at Torstar Digital is a strategic and management role, I try to balance this with freelance web design projects on the side, keeping me updated with the new advancements in web design technologies/methodologies. My extensive experience on both the technical side of web development, as well as the business/strategic side has given me a unique skill set which few possess. Having both business acumen and technical skills provides an essential big-picture view: one which I feel is absolutely necessary in defining business strategy in the digital world.
