As I wind down operations on this blog due to bad timing with statistical reports (totally my fault), I thought I'd share something thoughtful.

I had a chat with some fellows in Crazy's Manga shoutbox (edit: that was a few days ago before it crashed), and the topic of the day was Lala of To-Love Ru Darkness, or rather the lack of her.

Some feel it is quite odd seeing little to no Lala at all in the latest manga series, and I too expressed my feelings on that subject (I feel Lala is now a joke character, tossed to the side). It didn't take me long to realize though that Lala was Trouble, specifically the one that started all the Trouble in To-Love Ru Trouble. That was her series, and now it's time for some darkness, hence the lack of Lala. At least, that's how I want to think because in the Darkness series, it's usually her gadgets that get more screen time than herself, which could simply mean once again she's providing the Trouble part of the series, but her part of the story is done and now it's onto the road to a harem. Remember how Trouble ended? Yep, harem ending, but hey, instead of ending like every other harem anime/manga did, Darkness' story is focusing on bringing that harem to life instead of making readers think Trouble ended so openly.

And hey, Momo get's another figure, so that's not so bad now is it? Look at that frilly bikini, and THOSE LEGS, and she may not have bomber big boobs, but she's okay in my book :D

No, this isn't something Phoenix Wright uses, but it's close.

From Comiket 83, these appear to have been extras if you bought the special novel. I remember something like this, several years ago I was impressed with how much anime stationary they can make, you'd think students would like to show off their otaku'ness. These are the equivalent of the manila folder, only that they are plastic and part see-through. By the way, the above file folder seems to be actually one piece.

I admit I'm posting this in part to ask anyone who owns these, if you can scan them or at least take a great centered pic of them, specifically the Houki/Rinny one, these have not hit the world widened web yet (as far as my ruined internet access has shown me), as Houki's husbando I must have this pic, her pose, those big ones, and that green-bow-in-her-hair-that-she-is-using-because-was-has-yet-to-be-defiled-by-Ichika, in fact all the girls are great in this, but the Houki shot, I NEED HER NOW XD

...some of it anyways. As part of ongoing changes I should have done a long time ago, I've gone and created another blog (here) specifically for safe-for-work anime/manga stuff. What in the world? 3 active blogs now? Well, the answer isn't so simple as it is as complicated, so let's break it down.

1. Drafts
I hate drafts. No, not the meaning behind its function, but rather my current blog, animangatron.blogspot.com, has 90 drafts. To get an idea how ridiculous that is, my blog has more than 300 total, so 90 of that failing to go live is a big minus in my book. What happened? Well, I used to go mobile blogging, that was until I found out I couldn't place images where I wanted, and they were thumbnailed small. Not a problem with the blog, but rather when I decided to make all mobile posts drafts, coupled with the fact that I create posts and don't finish them, and then they become too old to matter, it's about time that stops.

2. Confused Content
I'm going to be blunt with this one: once I closed down my personal blog for being, well, too personal, my main blog here became diluted with different content that at one point, it seemed to have lost its way. From my obsessive use of photoshopping the header, to my personal posts and rants making their way here, I wasn't even sure I was talking about anime or manga much anymore. The creation of my wordpress blog became even more of a headache, as what would have best fit there, sometimes was here, and vice versa. Spending all those years at Animesuki led me to realize, that having a blog that sometimes can't be linked there, maybe should not be linked to at all. And as much as I'd hate to admit, not everyone is into fanservice anime. With the creation of a SFW blog, I can now separate it in 3 different fields: manga-tron.blogspot.com is for stuff visitors can read anywhere, be it work or home, animangatron.blogspot.com is for ecchi, non-hentai content best kept in a room all to yourself, and mangatron.wordpress.com will be hentai and a Photoshop portfolio, as I need to put aside photoshopping for now, and perhaps I will re-open my personal blog for those not-so-anime posts. As much as I'd like to keep both blogspot blogs in one, I created a terrible habit, and unless I learn from this, it will be separated for now.

3. My 1TB Hard Drive
Well, that might have been a motivating factor for these changes, but as it is now, I cannot let that drive keep me down. I am absolutely lost as to how to proceed here, as the drive can no longer progress past a certain sector. Everytime the Regen process runs, it stalls at the same sector again and again. Rather than spending too much time on it, I must move on. There are still many things I need to do, and I cannot let this drive dampen my spirits. Yes, it's tough living without 800GB of my most important data, but I needed a hard lesson on today's Hard Drives: never buy custom, non-standard sized drives, and make sure it has an SATA connection instead of some proprietary junk like what Western Digital did for their external My Passport series.

4. Change is good
I don't remember which foody company had that as their motto since they change those so much, but I need to keep that in mind. I need to learn to live without the hard drive for now, since I cannot access it for fear of it becoming to slow to save when I eventually get a new hdd (the seek times are nearly twice as high than before). In order to do that, I need to change what I've been doing lately. From now on, I will take a leave of absence from the photoshop scene, once I finish 2 last jobs that's it for now. As it has always been, I never viewed it as a lucrative investment of my little free time, and photoshopping has drastically reduced almost everything else I used to do with my free time (gaming, anime, manga, reading, internet activities, etc) I need to focus on Android in the event I ultimately sell my phone (as I no longer believe I can prove my case to my company that my hdd should be covered by them), and lately, I've been thinking that I should game more often, I used to do that regularly, and I think it's actually starting to make me happier too (went back to Advance Wars DualStrike, man I was crazy a few years back). But I need to move forward. I need to change, and I feel this is only the beginning.

My 1TB HDD: 1 week later

Well it's a little more than a week but I ran into a problem I never thought I'd see:

What in the world? I run the regenerating overnight as well, so I have no idea when this happened, but waking up in the morning and seeing the drive powered off was a nightmare. Running the rescan again I found out what led to it:

Look at the "X", it's not even listed in the legend. What happened was when the program encountered a bad sector in the 2nd block, it proceeded to regenerate it, but then it encountered several more bad sectors, but instead of regenerating them, the bad sector count rapidly rose, to the point where the entire drive was listed as bad above.

I am absolutely frustrated over the lack of documentation regarding this problem, I know for a fact the entire drive is not damaged, HDD Sentinel lists it as 89% healthy with only 19 weak sectors, and I am able to still read files, albeit at only an average of 500KB/s. It took me more than 4 hours to copy 8GB of data, but the data was still intact. This leads me to think that it really is a hardware fault that not even the most powerful regenerating program can fix. What else can the program do if Western Digital is making it hard for it?

And I'm pissed, worried and totally low on moral. This changes things. I thought, like anyone else would, that with bad sectors, the logical solution is to regenerate them. But if there is a problem with the drive head, magnet, whatever is inside a hard drive, one cannot regen the sectors. I think that is my problem, and with this new development, I can't regenerate at all. It's now a race against time to save whatever files I can before the drive really dies, and that's what I don't have: time. Well, there's money too, but now I'm against time, my last chance is to RAW copy the drive into another drive, but that of course requires me to buy a new HDD, which I cannot at the moment.

And that's the part I'm frustrated about, online the general diagnosis is buy a new HDD. I'm a little sick of that these days, it sounds easy but not under circumstances like this. How was I supposed to know the Backup drive, the Plan B of all hard drive plans, would die? There is no Plan C for things like this. And what's worse, I originally thought of filing a request for a company replacement, but when it goes for review, I have no idea how much time that would take. I don't even think I can prove the drive died in the line of duty, my HDD problem earlier in the year led me to backup important documents into several drives, so that's going to be difficult.

As such, that donation link goes back up (in the links at the top of the blog). To get an idea of how much that drive means to me, I'm even considering selling my only phone. I honestly don't know how much I can get out of it because it's a Windows Mobile phone, and while it is 1Ghz, that's just about the only thing of value I have (in excellent condition) that I can part with on short notice. (It's the phone I was working on porting Android to it for XDA) Of course, I won't be able to receive calls anymore, or browse the net when mobile, but meh, tough times. You know that DS Lite Joystick mod I did? I sold that last year (without the mod of course). That was to buy a new power adapter for my Vaio after my repair job burned out.

Funny how a few months ago I was gearing up to get a new laptop. Several months later, I changed my focus on my health, and while I am maintaining a decent health (regarding my non-permanent health issues), that comes at a cost of my equipment's condition. I don't have a well paying job, to be honest. What's more, due to the nature of my work, much of it is either behind-the-scenes or kept off the record, so much of my contributions are largely kept unknown to parties involved. The question was asked before, why not change careers, but what am I to do when that's what I'm good at, contributing without a soul knowing I did. I guess a part of that comes from how I was raised: living day to day, never splurging but never giving half the effort, either.

And that's probably how my life will continue to be if I don't think of change. Not touching photoshop in nearly two weeks is leaving a bad taste in my mouth, and if I ultimately have to sell my phone, I have to fix Android before then or my work is a bust. Or well, if some of it wasn't in the HDD in question... and before all this, I renewed my internet for another 30 days, what happens after that, who knows. (it ends 15th Oct)

My ongoing HDD troubles: cont'd

Today I've been incredibly bored out of my bleeding mind, I've scanned the heck out of my drive and decided to regen the bad sectors.

Look at those delays.

I didn't even feel like watching some anime, I mean what the heck the entire Summer 2012 run up to last week is on that drive, I don't even feel like watching Sword Art Online because of that, so I ended up reading manga and H manga. Ahem, even that bored me out, so I decided to revisit that interesting Fujitsu drive that died on me earlier this year.

Now that looks bad.

I have to say, after looking at that drive, my WD 1TB is really fortunate. What I faced earlier this year dwarfs the problem I currently have with my 1TB, to think I was booting from such a drive, I'm surprised I even got any files out of it. Granted a huge chunk of my personal files were corrupted, but right now my WD looks like a cake compared to that mess.

That's a lot of error.

And you know what? That Fujitsu drive still works, files can be retained on there, and I even get it to boot into an OS. And according to HDD sentinel, that drive is at 0% health. My WD is reported at 89% health, so I think the problem is not as bad as what I faced earlier this year (a lot of files were lost to corruption.). Not to mention, a quick surface scan indicates the WD is not physically damaged, most in part due to my gentle care, but yeah, the situation right now doesn't look to bad.

What is bad is if you noticed above, the hdd regen process ran 6 hours and only 0.03% completed. It looks like my original estimation of 8 weeks looks more and more nightmarishly real now. And it's really damping my mood. In case you haven't guessed by now, I'm really unhappy. Unhappy it had to happen to the newest drive I own, incredibly unhappy this had to happen on the eve of the Yukikaze episode, unhappy that many of my most rarest of files are on that drive with no idea if they are still good, I've been trying to lift my spirits because really, I don't want this ruining the one chance Yukikaze has to shine, but it's really taking a lot on me.

My oldest hard drive, I believe it's a Toshiba 80GB IDE that was in my white laptop, that drive still runs through the brutal life it currently is running (ever since 2005, the drive has never rested). In Germany I really grinded that drive to bits, and it's still great as ever. My second oldest drive, one of the 3.5inchers, also lives, and that has seen constant use since 2006 up until Dec last year when the 1TB replaced it. Even my other 3.5incher still lives, seriously I've gone through several different manufactures from Samsung to Seagate, and this being my first non-desktop WD, I'm sure you can tell why I'm incredibly wary of them right now.

I thought of consoling myself on the fact that maybe I bought a model that was affected by the Thailand floods, but this is a 2010 model, not 2011 >__>

Maybe in time I will be back to my chipper happy self, but right now I am not. Here's hoping Yukikaze will awaken my hentaitron powers with the next ep.

Speaking of being bored, reading my About Me page scares me. That thing looks like, like an obituary or a biography for a dead guy, what the heck I'm not dead, sure I'm not happy right now but I sure as heck ain't dead. And that's all in part because of the past 4 months, I've been really been spending maximum effort on my health, I haven't had a headache since July all thanks to increased sleep times in exchange for less anime time, which is why I haven't been watching much series lately. I've also been eating more healthier, which of course has the side effect of costing more but hey, I'm glad it was just a drive that failed me and not my kidney or something, if I hadn't been taking care of my health, and have some sort of organ failure, my belongings will be the least of the problems.

My ongoing HDD troubles

In case you haven't heard, my 1 TeraByte external Hard Drive met an unfortunate sector problem Tuesday morning. This was very unexpected, as the drive was only for storage, particularly backing up each day in my life as time goes on. I did not grind this drive with high random reads and writes daily, and I most certainly treated it with care, keeping it free of dust and such.

The problem (yellow warning)

At first I thought it was the USB ports on the laptop that I'm borrowing. But they didn't kill my older hard drives that I retired, which makes it even more frustrating is that this 1TB drive is not even a year old and it already has a fault. It was intended to backup two 3.5inch portable drives that I had to retire due to their size and low GB count (one of them is an 80GB, the other is a 250GB). I traveled with these, they came with me everywhere I went in Germany, all the way to Asia, and they still work, and yet this Western Digital drive is choking. So I figured if it wasn't the USB ports, and I treated it with care, what went wrong?

Then I remembered reviews. I generally prefer Newegg feedbacks because most of the people buying there are power users who know what they are doing, and looking at the drive that I own, I see that I am not alone in problems with this drive. My case seems to be a rather simple one: while I was doing the standard backing up of my files, it stopped copying yet the drive light kept blinking. Now everytime I plug the drive in, Windows will give that message that the drive should be checked. I've done that several times already, but the problem remains: there are still bad sectors. Bad sectors that might need to be regenerated just to get the drive back to normal.

And by normal I mean back to it's normal speed. As you can see above, I can see my files, but that's the time it takes for one 400mb file. One little file that I have no idea how my connection managed 400mb, but that's how long it takes. You know how long it took to copy 8GB from my drive? More than 4 hours. 4 hours! I don't have that much time to spend on copying files, so I need to regenerate the sectors. It took me 1 week to scan and regen my 160GB drive that died on me earlier this year, and if we times that 8, it would take me a little more than 2 months o__O.

It's rather problematic that I moved the entire Summer 2012 Anime that I have into the 1TB drive the night before it choked. To be honest, that isn't really important. I mean I know how much Anime means to me but what concerns me mostly is that this 1TB drive is my backup drive, which includes work as well, but it also includes the ultra rare XDA-developers work that I have done the past two years, I am the only known soul on Earth that contains the archives for several phones, and without these files I have absolutely no way of sharing my work for the community, which I was to slowly upload as time goes on.

The solution I've come up with is to guess which area of the drive is affected, scan it, and then regen that particular area only. That's the only way I can save the drive now, but that's the new problem: I need another drive to clone the files, which I don't have, and it being the middle of the month, I can't afford this. Especially when I canceled saving up for a new computer a couple of months ago due to new circumstances, but I never factored my hard drive because not only was it a rarely used, well cared for drive, but it is only 10 months old. I can't RMA it because it would cost me a heck of a lot of heck just to send it to them.

Today marks my first dive into Photoshop CS6, which I was unaware of the amazing changes they brought to the table. One of the most notable changes I saw right away was the darker look of the program, which greatly, immensely lessens the eye strain. I had thought of putting aside photoshopping after I finished up Sakuno, but now that I like what I see, I can't wait to finish Sakuno :D (I intend to finish her tomorrow!)

You can try Photoshop CS6 here, which is a trial. Glad I got to try this before I make any serious commitments to this, and here I thought CS5 was decent enough (albeit it blinding me for months). One other nice change in CS6 that I like: GPU editing was optimized XD

For once in my life what bothered me the past week was something I was used to, but didn't want to happen. Sure, I was soooo close to getting pneumonia, but I fought that off as hard as I could. So my laptop battery now has a 1 hour battery life, instead of the 2 it was before the laptop was loaned to me (how am I going to explain that to the owner >_>). Oh, and I think I lost a few pounds, but allllll of that doesn't hold a candle to the shitty behavior of my wireless carrier, who without notice took down much of their data network offline with nary a warning or alert. You know what pisses me off? They spam you all they want with their so called "advisories" when it's just tricks to getting you to waste your top up load.

I know, ranting about my wireless carrier is old news and a pointless effort on my part. Sure, I'm happy I avoided pneumonia, did you know I was told that usually old folks in their 60's and 70's have a higher chance of being afflicted with that, and here I was, not even 30 years old and I'm like a 60 year old? I wasn't laughing when I heard that, and I'm glad I was warned about it and fought it as hard as I could. I coughed out more than 1 cup of fluid straight out of my lungs, the most strangest thing I ever done in my life (you'll know it's bad when blood starts to come out). I honestly thought this was a cold, and I know someone who had pneumonia before, but I didn't know what the symptoms were because I hadn't seen that person much before they were treated for it. And all that coughing I've been doing for the past year? Yep, I gotta say I was very close to being killed by my ignorance. Good to have some folks around you to tell you about things you usually would shrug off.

And about this laptop, I'm a little wary of how I use it these days. I'm being a bit more careful than I usually am, because I tell you it's weird conversations with the owner, they go a little something like this:

"Hey dude, I didn't know your laptop can play Crysis 2!"

*silence*

Talk about awkward.

Back to my wireless carrier, I am absolutely furious at their behavior. Why is it different this time? Well, I had a 30 day data plan activated before their network went kaput (that's 999 peso, just a little over $20 USD), and I know it went kaput because my 3G USB broadband dongle was picking up DEAD signals from the cell tower in the next town, my phone was absolutely refusing to lock onto a 3G signal, and no one else in my area had better luck. This is especially retarded when their EDGE network was also rendered useless, which used to be a fallback band to use in case 3G/HSDPA was down. With 3G and EDGE both inoperable, I was irate. My ~~anime and manga~~ email and web browsing, halted because some network thinks it's a good time to fix their network? (at least I think they are fixing it). What pisses me off is that when money is plunked down on their network, and they pull shit like this, you have no way of getting your money back (they still haven't returned my money lost earlier this year due to a gaff in their network they clearly acknowledged was their fault and said they would refund within 24 hours which they never did). I even opened up a customer service chat that they have for free via SMS, and those shit bastards cut me off the moment the rep went on.

You know what pisses me off most of all? Why don't the citizens in this country stand up to these corporations that suck up their daily life? The damn network was down for more than a week! If this kind of stunt was pulled in the USA, you can bet there would be a public flogging of the network and that FCC would probably fine the company. I'm not even asking these people to waste their time doing rallys and what not, these people are heavy on Facebook, why don't they band together and do some public movement that would embarrass the shit out of this company, and it might actually get their stupid President off his lawsuiting butt and take action.

But that's the sad thing about the Philippines. No one stands up to these corporations. No one says anything, and the public doesn't give two shits and a rats ass because for some dumb silly reason, nobody wants to say anything! And I know what I'm saying, I want to do something but I'm not a citizen of this country. I look through the undernet of the Philippine forums, and there's a lot of members who voice their discontent over these networks and their destructive ways. And that's one of the problems: these folks hide away in these forums, complaining all they want about the costs of 3G internet being too high, but WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MATTER when all they are doing is hiding behind these forums. Go on Facebook! Voice your discontent on Twitter! Bloody do something out there that the media can pick up on, and report on, and get it nationally recognized that holy cheese whiz there's a problem with these wireless carriers and something must be done! Not even the two most recognizable tech blogs in this country even mentions these network outages, which I know is not just my area, it goes as far as Quezon City.

This is why there is hardly a USA investor in this country. The nerve of this country to try and bring Korean investors into here, the corruption is just going to eat them alive. I have one job to do with this country, and if the people will not stand and fight for a better way of life, there is no point in giving them that better way of life.

Sorry for the rant, but it's frustrating. So much poverty in this country, with corporations making millions while the average citizen slaves away at paltry wages. The Philippines can be a great country, but no one is making an effort to make it so. I'm going to continue doing what I can behind the scenes, as my position allows me to. But someone who isn't even a citizen of this country can only do so much. This country needs to change from within, not from the outside.

So did you ever wonder why the heck was I all of a sudden active at Animesuki at the last week of June? A lot of that is because I returned to Jcafe after 5 years, looking for a particular project to work on (yes, what I said there is true, I am still in the "considering" phase of that decision), and I just had to see the Omamori Himari thread. I was interested in seeing how far the scanlations are from the current RAWs, when I saw Kuesu's name come up. Now, this is 5 years since I was last here, and I thought those spoiler tags held the links to stuff, but instead I saw the dreadful spoiler:

SHE'S BLOODY DEAD. My favorite girl of the series is dead. Now you know why I stayed away from there for 5 years. 5 Bleeding years I stayed away from Jcafe because of things like this, and in my return, this is what I see? This is the reason why I had to blog about this, it hit me really hard when I saw this. Yeah, she is really my favorite girl of the series, the moment she first showed up, I had such strong sadistic vibes from her, my masochism overwrote my ponytail + boobies desires. Under normal circumstances Himari should have been my favorite girl, but Kuesu wasn't just love at first sight for me, she is everything an M like me would like, and even in the Anime I loved her, even when she had black hair I loved her (O_o), and till death, I still love her.

It doesn't surprise me though. It hit me hard, hard enough for me to go around the place making a fool of myself in the hopes of drowning out that misery, but I saw it coming, and I'm sure others did too, the moment the other Demon Hunters showed up in the manga, I always had this feeling, Kuesu's screen time was running low, and her place was being lost as the chapters went on, and then finally she's gone...

Foreshadowing is always there in manga. In Akame ga Kill, the MC's friend was killed very very early in the series. I don't know why the beautiful girl had to die, but something has to start the protag on his journey, and like every other protag, some kind of tragedy has to happen for the journey to start. "Flags" as they call it, conditions that, if you detect it, you will be prepared and it won't surprise you, but still touch you. Later on in Akame Ga Kill, the start of foreshadowing occurred when that odd Tengu rule was first mentioned, about "the clash of Tengu users guaranteed to leave one of them defeated", and once I read that, I just knew it wasn't going to be easy goings for the good guys right afterwards, and right on schedule, the first of the good guys to die was a girl:

Here's one thing I don't like: the nice quiet girl dies. Honestly, if you read this chapter, did you really think Main or the other girl was going to die? The key problem there was that the enemy girl had met up with the protag earlier, so she wasn't going to die just yet. Main wasn't going to die just yet either because she's tsundere. Er..... you'll have to be a seasoned Anime/Manga fan to understand that, but seriously, did they set a tone in the story for Sher early on? I didn't feel that way, and the unfortunate fact that her character leaned on the ditz/laid back personality didn't help her cause either.

It still hit me though because I don't like girls getting hurt or dying and what not. That's..... just how I am. I'm one of those fellows who grew up with the myths and legends of girls, and that violence against girls is just something you don't do. Even Tasogare Otome X Amnesia, I couldn't finish all of episode 10 because I just didn't like what happened to Yuuko-san, what she went through, and how she ended up, but in the end, that experience led her to meet someone special to her. And that's what makes these manga experiences special, while none of this is real, I still feel for these girls. How do I explain it, if you were around when KGNE (Kimi ga Nozomu Ein) came out, the simple best way I could sum up that series was that "I hate it so much I like it". I tell you I hated what happened in that series, I hated that Bakayuki, I hated that the ponytail was cut off, I hated how the whole thing went, not because it was poor storytelling, or that I don't like how the characters acted to each other, but that I hated how it all felt quite real, much of these experiences were real, so at the end of the series, I respected it, I liked how much it touched me, and I will never forget it even now.

And that's the same feeling I have here about these wonderful girls dying in manga. I hate how they have to die, and I hate that Kuesu no longer walks this Earth, but you know what? That's what makes me a fan of all this, and of the Omamori Himari manga. I felt love, hate, and other emotions. And if a work of fiction made me say "I love you girl!" followed by "NOOOOOO DON'T LEAVE ME", yeah, I gotta say:

I love this stuff.

Game #2 for Dakara Boku wa H ga Dekinai

Seems like a new game showed up for Dakara Boku wa H ga Dekinai. How it goes is actually more hilarious than I thought it would be:

Increase your sound volume before playing, trust me.

Now you would think that it's an eroge of some sort, but it's a lot simpler than that, much too simple actually. See the lower left box? Selecting option #2 gets you to the only decent pic out of all this. Options 1, 3 and 4 point to various places of the main site, but is that it? Not quite. In the above screen, before you select any of the options, you can touch (click lolz) on either her face/head/beautifuleyes, you can touch her boobies, or you can touch her skirt (flip it like a ~~gentle~~man!) What happens? Well, touching her face will make her ask you what are you doing in her deredere voice, and you gain no Exp. Touching her boobies once will surprise her and you will gain (1/3?) Exp. Touch her boobies again and you will gain 2/3 Exp and make her Tsuntsun irritated. Touch her boobies again to level up, but before you level up, she invokes her wrath and you lose everything.

........odd, right? But I didn't mention her skirt. Touch her skirt only once, and you gain all the Exp you possibly can, but her wrath will not tolerate such perversion, and she Tsuntsun's you to death :P

First order of announcements

First of all, happy belated 4th of July, Americans. As the top visitors to my blog, I salute you all :D

Now, down to business. Let's get some things out of the way, I have been fighting off recurring symptoms of that cold I had last month, which I have been repeatedly warned that if left unattended, it could lead to pneumonia. That's how bad my coughing has gotten the past few days, and I have been working on preventing it from escalating. You might recall this is the same situation I was in Spring of last year.

2nd order of business is, that my plan to save up for a new lappy has been postponed due to many, many factors, including the above health problem. I shouldn't have to note that saving up for a laptop while leaving myself to die is a totally fruitless effort :P

3rd order of business, after 2 years of cooking, I will officially announce the end of all current XDA-Developer ROM cooking, as with the death and replacement of the phone in question, I feel it is no longer necessary to perfect what already is perfect enough. This of course leads to more time freed up for other things, which I still will remain at XDA-developers in taking over Android OS development from others. That though will not be a full time allocation of my free time like the way I spent on ROM cooking, so that makes my life a bit easier. Except for the part where I need to clean up all the kitchens that I have left over, and that is thousands and thousands of files to back up >__<

4th order of business, I will work on finishing up the postponed photoshop jobs that have been neglected on my Wordpress blog, and once those are released, I have been contemplating leaving the photoshopping scene until my health gets better. As you can imagine coughing makes any sort of work difficult, and my constant use of a mask during work-work leaves me tired enough to want to recuperate on my free time. Some of you may recall that I am a big Max Payne fan, and despite waiting many years for that, I have yet to get around to playing that game (meine gottfried, games just keep taking up more and more hdd space :x) Heck, I don't even know if that will play on my laptop that I am borrowing, so maybe I need to get a new lappy after all >__> So if it wasn't apparent, yeah, I'm really lacking in free time. It's somewhat sad too, there are at least 10 or more requests a day at moe-pic, and I had the unfortunate chance to read one particular post there and the fellow said: "There's not many crafstman" (Photoshoppers). I have to admit I've been highly demotivated due to my health, but you would understand it best in the words of that lady in Mechwarrior 4: Mercs put it, as some XDA-developers also agree, that sometimes these things aren't "a lucrative investment of our time". Not that I want to be paid for it, as I have been battling my health since 2006, but as an XDA-Developer Chef, I understand full well why my fellow XDA-Developers up and leave due to the many, many demands of the masses and very few thanks for your hard work. I used to think it was a joke when a Developer disappears, and folks say the CIA kidnapped them, but I don't think it's a joke anymore. Well, the CIA part yeah, but the disappearing part? It's not pretty. Sometimes we can't face them after all that hope was built up. Me, I intend to leave no trail of destruction in my wake.

But that's not all. 5th order of business, the most damaging thing that I have neglected since Spring this year, was the trail of HDD's that I have neglected when my previous laptop died on me (it corrupted a large portion of the main drive, in which I had to save what I can by plastering the files across several other drives.) The reason why this is disturbing to me, is because I am still using a portable 3.5 inch drive. Try reading that again, and imagine me, the traveler, with two 3.5 inch drives (mainly used for work backup during my time in Germany). One of them an 80GB (eventually retired), and one of them a 250GB drive, whose retirement was postponed due to the untimely demise of my Vaio. The original plan was to transfer all 3.5 inch HDD content onto my Terabyte HDD, but my VAIO's main drive had to be transferred to the Terabyte instead. And I left it like that ever since. I have yet to bother with it, and I intend to get back to it as soon as possible as it is getting ridiculously tiring having 3 external HDD's attached to my lappy (I use another 2.5 inch drive to complement the Terabyter)

And, that's all I've got right now. Next order of business is clearing up blog drafts once and for all, as I hate typing them out and then leaving them unfinished due to other things that pop up in my life. So that will lead to me being a little more active online now, since it's really tiring looking at these millions of files that I have and I need a break sometime. Which leads to me having to find time to watch Anime..... oh bugger lol

By the way Sankaku, you forgot to mention the Sena oshiripad? I am most displeased. No wonder why I don't visit that site much, if it weren't for that feed on the left I wouldn't even bother lol. Now I get my news directly from JP connections, so I'm not missing much :P

Boredom really hits me at the strangest of times. I found watching anime while recovering from a cold to be a very taxing experience. Take for example Haiyore Nyarko, laughing with a bad cough is not good for health. But what else am I supposed to do, those girls are so funny.

So I do other things. Like... I ended up doing the Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai post on my Wordpress blog because I guess I have to think that I would assume that it should presumably be posted there due to questionable content..... lol. Recovering from a cold

So earlier this week I had a horrible 3 day headache, it got so bad I did everything I could to make it go away. One of those things is maintaining a cool environment for me to sleep in, but I had the unfortunate circumstance of sleeping without a blanket. (how am I supposed to know when it falls off...)

So there I was, woke up the next morning, oh my head is okay yahoo! (Cough). In obliterating my headache I caught a cold. A cold! How many manga I read that said only idiots catch a cold in the summer, and how many anime had a cute girl put a blanket on the protag, and I, the mangatron, did not have a cute girl put a blanket on me and say "geez, what will you do without me" T____T

But me having a cold is not the worst part. The worst, most mentally damaging part of all is that I have to recover without some assistance. Oh what a dream it would be if I was lying in bed, and up walks a cute girl in a pink miniskirt nurse outfit, wearing white thigh high stockings, with twintails and glasses, and she looks down on me and shifts her glasses and says "What do you want you piece of shit?" And then I'll be like "gaah help me" and I weakly reach for her butt and give it a nice fondle, and then she punches me in the gut as she says "Hentai!!" and I'll be like "Aggghhh I'm dying..." and then she'll be dere-dere and say "d-did it really hurt?" and I'll be like "I might die.... but if you press your breasts against my stomach, I'll revive" and then she'll......

Wait a minute, I'm not writing a hentai manga here....XD

Well, not all her glory, I'd take her bodysuit off but then you know....one question that would probably be asked a lot these days, is what in the world am I doing? (Haven't been posting much at Animesuki). It's life I tell you. A lot of things, not just my health, or me doing some soul searching, or getting older, but a lot of things.

One of those things is facing the facts about a 17 inch monster laptop (that I'm currently "using"). It's tiring. Like, I haven't used a screen this big before, and it's tiring for photoshopping. And it's not just me, for the past few weeks I've been looking through a lot of information on laptops these days, and one of the things I came across was this piece at NotebookCheck: "However nowadays, more and more 16:9 displays with 15.6 inch appear. The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much energy and the laptops can be kept quite compact." See the bolded part? It's kills me for this 17 inch lappy. I photoshop on maximum brightness to bring out the true effect of my editing, and I tell you, 17 inches of widescreen glory is a lot of ground for my eyes to cover.

But why do I edit on full brightness anyways? It's because of this (NSFW) particular 'shop that I made. Do you see what it looks like? It looks terrible. Yeah, I said that, and I'll say it again. IT LOOKS HORRIBLE. Well I didn't use the word "terrible" just now, but you know what I mean. Look around her mouth area. What the heck was I thinking? No, I saw it alles klar alright, but the problem I had was: It was on my previous laptop, a Sony Vaio with crap Intel Graphics and definitely not an LED backlit screen. First of all, I despise the Intel IGP graphics with all my heart. The damn things override how your screen looks, and what the bloody hell, it looked okay on that screen, but looking at Shirley with all this 17 inch of LED backlit goodness makes me see the ridiculous junk the Intel graphics really are. Now I feel like re-doing the whole thing again, ugh I can't believe it.

Next shop should really be that Rinne no Lagrange one I postponed for what, 2 months now. I am really late with that, and need to get it out soon if I want to get in on the upcoming Megami and Nyantype posters. Oh, and I would de-text the rest of the Evangelion pics, but I'm a big fan of Makinami and her... zettai ryouiki.... her glasses.... and her sniffing habit :P

Now before you folks start LOLing about this, I am very well aware that I have pushed the envelope too far. You might have noticed my header image started becoming very ecchi around the time I created my Wordpress blog. This was a test by me to see just how thin the line is between an adult blog and a non-adult blog. Obviously not a very good test since I was behind on finishing the investigation by two months, and it took Google to remind me of how far I can go without labeling my blog as an adult blog.

So from now on, those kind of headers will be applied to my Wordpress blog, and I will try my darndest to keep this blog as work-safe as possible, which will include hiding ecchi images after the jump, so you'll be warned ahead of time before reading an article about what to expect inside it.

And what was I doing having ads on my blog? Well, as you can see I am trying to save up some money for a new laptop, granted I don't earn much from my blog (close to 0.8 cents a month), I thought maybe it could help. Which of course would help if I had more quality posts being posted.

The image I was going to use earlier this month, but deemed it impossible to use due to the heavy editing that would be applied to Nyarko. Note Tuga-chan with a giant ribbon wrapped around her.

Also, my dedication to Hare from Guilty Crown will also be applied to my Wordpress blog, as I can't seem to find any decent official image of her that isn't naked :P So Kanako will remain on my blogspot blog like before, and all is.... bouncy with the world XD

An open letter to the team behind Aquarion EVOL

Dear Writer/Director/person-in-charge-of-ruining-Aquarion-ELOL,

Screw it, this isn't a letter, I have kidnapped Crea in the glorious name of the Lolitron, and this is a ransom letter! I currently have Crea at donut-point, and if you do not comply with my demands, she will cry the most moe-est cry mankind will ever know all because you deprived her of this awesome Oreo donut. My list of demands:

1. I demand that Mix be returned to her beautiful female form, return her to Vega, and ensure that her tsundere qualities remain intact.

2. I also demand an OVA of the Vega girls frolicking on the beach with their swimsuits, with Zessica having just electric tape for a swimsuit, and I also demand that Mix have a swimsuit that does not restrict her GLORIOUS BOUNCE.

If these demands are not met, then...... you leave me no choice. I will be forced to feed Crea specially crafted donut that promote growth, and I will raise this girl in the ways of the mangatron, and I will do the most fitting punishment because you all have flattened MY Mix:

I will massage Crea's chest till she becomes even more boing boing than Mix, and then when's she's old enough, I will marry her! MWUHAHAHAHAHA *runs*

p.s.: I came up with the name Mixy first. ransom demand #3: pay me royalties for every time the name "Mixy" is uttered, and also for every time a customer plays back those scenes :P
