Well hello there. It has been forever and a day since I blogged, but I am happy to be back. After a very long break from cardmaking, I am finally starting to feel the urge to get crafty again.

I recently discovered that an artist I've long admired, Wendy Burns, now offers digi images at her All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy shop. I truly adore her work. Her designs are right up my alley, so naturally I had to pick up just a few.

The All Wrapped Up digi image was colored using Copic markers and then paired up with a variety of gorgeous My Mind's Eye Collectable Unforgettable patterned paper. The "you" die cut and coordinating clear stamp set are from Simon Says Stamp, my current go-to source for clear sentiment stamps. The yellow felt flower was created using the My Favorite Things rolled flower die, and I think it added a fabulous little touch.

I was inspired by Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch #197 and am planning to enter this card in the challenge. This card will also be entered in All Dressed Up Challenge #4 where the team there challenged participants to use Ribbon and/or Lace. I hope you like my long overdue crafty creation.

TSG193 - I Ruff You

Happy Friday peeps. Who's excited for the weekend? I know I am! Even though we are expecting quite the snowstorm here from what I hear, I cherish each and every weekend regardless of the forecast.

I am back today sharing another recently created simple, masculine Valentine. The card is based on There She Goes Inspiration Challenge TSG193. I was drawn to the fabulous photo above and inspired to use my There She Goes Puppy Love clear stamp set. The images in this set were created by the amazing artist, talented cardmaker, and fellow blogger Torico. You must check her blog if you don't already regularly do so.

The puppy image was stamped on PTI kraft paper and then colored with Copic markers. Dimension was added by die cutting red felt in a scalloped heart shape and layering a white jumbo heart brad on top of the felt. Paw prints were stamped in various shades of brown to finish it off. I hope you like my little creation.

Lawnscaping Spectacles

Hi there! I interrupt the regularly scheduled super girly handmade card to share with you something a little more simple and masculine. We all need Valentines for the fellas in our life. Am I right, ladies? ;) I recently felt the urge to create a few simple cards, so my next blog posts will be sharing those. Don't worry though, I'll be right back to making frilly cards in a jiff. I'm just sure of it.

This card was created using the Lawn Fawn Clear to See and Say Cheese clear stamp sets. I cut the little heart apart from a sentiment stamp in the Say Cheese set so that it could be stamped inside the lenses of the eyeglasses image from the Clear to See stamp set. A little bit of Cherry Divine Twine was added along with an ancient jumbo heart brad from Hobby Lobby.

I think my manly Valentine turned out pretty handsome, but what do you think? I plan to enter this "guy" in Lawnscaping Challenge #51.

You Hold My Heart

Hello, friends. We're only approaching mid-week, but I am already itching for the weekend to arrive. There is a snowstorm in the forecast, so I have decided to postpone the shopping trip that I had planned for this weekend. I live way out in the sticks and very much look forward to my shopping trips, but I cannot drive to save my life in snow and ice. Instead, it looks like I might end up doing even more stamping this weekend! ;)

When I saw the beautiful colors above that we were challenged to use for Saturated Canary Challenge #36, I just knew I had to play along! The challenge called for the use of at least 3 colors from the palette above, but I loved the colors so much that I tried to use them all.

This card was created using the Saturated Canary Hugs and Kisses digi image colored with Copic markers. Krista gave this image away as a limited time freebie on her blog. I wasn't able to snatch it up in time as a freebie, but I think it was still a steal at only $2.

The patterned papers are all by My Mind's Eye, from both the Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks and Follow Your Heart Be Happy collections. A little glimmer was added using Shimmerz Pixie Dust Blingz, and then I threw on a tulle bow and some fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. I sure hope you like my little card!

Hello again! I hope Monday proved to be a fabulous start to the week for you. I am finally starting to feel better...woot woot! I am excited to fully recover and finally get rid of this crazy cough.

Today I am sharing a card that was made awhile ago using the Mo's Digital Pencil Peaches digi image colored with Copic Markers. Isn't she just peachy?!? The peach image is covered in "fuzz" created from custom mixed orange and white Doodlebug flock. The patterned paper used is from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Howdy Doody 6x6 pad.

Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. My weekend was rather uneventful, as I rested up and continued to recover from bronchitis. I did, however, have the chance to make a few cards.

I had a blast putting this little card together using the Tiddly Inks Dandylion Pixie digi image and Deconstructed Sketch No. 87. I plan to submit this card to both Jen's Deconstructed Sketch challenge and Tiddly Inks Challenge #102 - Wings.

I have been drawn to light, soft colors lately. I think I might be ready for spring! ;) The patterned paper used is from the My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart Be Happy 6x6 paper pad. The image is colored with Copic Markers of course, and the dandylion is covered in custom mixed Doodlebug flock. I simply mixed some white flock with a little bit of pink and orange to create the peachy light pink flock you see below.

The image below shows how the main image shimmers just a bit better. I painted almost all of the digi image using Shimmerz Pixie Dust Blingz. I really love this product because you can paint it right on top of the black lines of printed digi images without causing any smearing. The little bit of sparkle that it adds just gives images that extra special touch.

Well, hi there! Thank you for your patience while I have been on a blog hiatus. I've sure missed y'all! I just recently dusted off my stamps and started to get crafty again. I am looking forward to sharing my creations here and becoming reacquainted with the world of stamping, including you.

Today I am sharing a card that was made recently using the Saturated Canary Violet Vintage digi image and a cutie pie sentiment stamp from Paper Smooches. It seems as though I may have colored her socks a bit incorrectly, but I still think she's pretty darned cute. The inspiration for the layout of the card was found in one of Jen's lovely sketches, Deconstructed Sketch #82.

You may see me rely on challenges to spark my card ideas a little more often in the near future, because my cardmaking skills seem to be a bit rusty. Hopefully it will all come rushing back to me soon! ;)

Witching You a Fabulous Sunday

Good morning, sunshine! I hope you are having an amazing weekend so far. The weather is gorgeous here in western Nebraska. Here's hoping that sunny skies are headed your way, if they aren't already there. ;)

This week the Stamptacular Sunday challenge is to make a creation loaded with layers, for your chance to win a prize from our lovely sponsors Marianne Design and Karen's Doodles.

I created this bewitching (teehee) birthday card using the retired Broomhilda digi image from my online shoppe that was closed last year. But seriously...give a witch and a cake and shazam she is magically transformed into a cake lovin' sweetie. Not that I am speaking from personal experience or anything...

Stair Steppin' Stamptacular Sunday

Hello, friend. It's Sunday, and that means that it is time for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge...woot woot! This week is a freebie challenge, meaning you can make any creation that your heart desires. How fun is that!?! Both Icopic and Bugaboo are sponsoring the challenge this week. I sure hope you'll stop by and play along with us.

I stepped outside of my comfort zone with this creation by making a stair step fold card using this fabulous tutorial from Splitcoaststampers. If you've never tried to make a stair step fold card before, I encourage you to give a try. It was soooo easy, especially with the help of a Martha Stewart score board.

I added the Tiddly Inks Party Time Pixies digi image, Taylored Expressions fence die cut, and some paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to put together a quick creation that has a bit of a wow factor, if I do say myself. Well, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my weekend. I hope you enjoy yours as well! ;)

Gettin' Stampy with Birdie Brown

Happy Sunday peeps, and Happy Easter for those of you who celebrate! I am popping by today to share my submission for this week's Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.

This week we are challenging you to create a project based on the beautiful flower photo above. Isn't that flower just gorgeous!?! When I saw this photo, I knew immediately that I would be using some ancient Prima flowers on my card. I have been itching to use up my old stash of Prima flowers for ages now, but I just don't seem to reach for them as much as I should.

Hi everybody! :) It's spring, and I am lovin' it. Soooo much better than the mild, yet super windy winter we have had here in good old western Nebraska. Happy spring to you!

Who is ready for the weekend? I am, I am! This week was a killer at work. Busy, loved every minute of it, but still a killer. Let's just say my booty is draggin'. Have a Picture Perfect Day

Let's start this week off right, mmm'kay...with a picture perfect day! ;) We had a very mellow weekend here, aside from the fact that we had a little snow fall and a whole lot of that crazy wind. We finally watched the Hangover 2 movie over the weekend. Hmmm...the jury is still out on that one. LOL

Today I am sharing a card that I made using the Kraftin Kimmie Jeannie rubber stamp. Isn't this image adorable!?! It totally reminds me of my little crafty cousin Alanna. Sheesh...I'm not sure I should be referring to her as my little cousin anymore now that she is 16 years old. Wowsers...just typing those words makes me feel old. LOL Alanna absolutely loves to take photos, and so I know she would adore this card. It will very likely end up in her mailbox one day. I'm pretty happy with the way the card turned out. Looking at it makes me smile, and I hope it has the same effect on you.

A Basket Full of Wishes

Hellllooooooo weekend! And hello to you too. Really, is there any day of the week better than Saturday? Wake up when you want to (okay, actually wake up the exact same time as every day of the week because sleeping in seems impossible...but at least you don't HAVE to...ha), do what you want to (well, do what you HAVE to get done before Monday arrives), and have some weekend fun. Sundays are pretty alright too. ;)

Here's a little card that I created using the Jillibean Soup by Unity Basket Full of Wishes Itty Bitty stamp. Please ignore the horrendous lighting in the photo. If not for the fact that this card has already been given away, I would have definitely attempted a better photo. Oh well, better luck next time. Doesn't this card just scream spring? I am so ready for some beautiful spring weather. Who's with me on that!?!

New Year, New Look

This blog started out as my personal blog, and now it will just revert back to my personal blog. Happy Friday, friends! Today many of us are celebrating Veteran's Day, a day to honor all of those who have served us so bravely. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to those who have worked to protect our liberties, as well as their friends and families. Thank you so much for everything that you do!

I am excited to announce that 6 brand spankin' new digi images were released today at Anita Be Stampin. Today I am sharing a project that I made awhile ago but never had the opportunity to share here. I used the newly released Melva the Elf digi image. I sure hope you like my project! Hello friends! It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? I sure missed you all while I was away. Have you been wondering where I’ve been all of these months? I have moved to a different time zone as we relocated for Joe’s job, and I also started a new full time job. It’s taking me a bit of time to get adjusted to my new small town life and back into a routine of normalcy, but I think I am getting to a point where I can get back to crafting a bit. Yay for having time to craft again! ;)

Today I am sharing a card made for Anita Be Stampin Challenge #25. The challenge this week is to make a Halloween card, and so I grabbed my Frankenbride rubber stamp set, which was just also released as a digi image today. There is a $25 Anita Be Stampin gift certificate up for grabs this week...gotta love that!
