go ahead- Let your hair down! (great song- unless it is stuck in your head) Have you noticed a trend with me? I seem to always have music stuck in my head...and sometimes it is music I make but can give no voice to. And we are all very glad I can't voice it- because my talents do NOT lie in music! That would be my husband (the RedNick Gourmet), who wrote and recorded the music I walked down the ailse to at our wedding. Ah, well enough rambling I guess.

I am happy to see most of you re-added your entries to the challenge. REMINDER- tomorrow is the deadline for getting your name in the hat for the contents of the box...Robin- I haven't gotten to the post office yet- if it is ok with you I will wait so I can mail the two boxes out at once?

I can't believe it is Thursday already! Wow. MaryKay- I truly enjoyed your email- just have not had much time to respond. I will be going out of town On Saturday morning, but will try to have images to post before I go. I am glad you liked the sentiments- I will have more soon. I have to think these thing up you know! But I have bee looking at some great quotes I think would be good for cards, so I might use some of those... Anyway- Here is today's stuff

Last week's snow has melted, the weather is Spring-like and all I want to do is create in my room. But I have to go to work..ah well- can't have everything I guess.

Hopefully today is not as molasses slow as yesterday. I think everyone thought we were closed for the holiday like all the federal offices...but NO WE had to work...and it was so slow many of us got sleepy...which makes for a very long day indeed.

So today we will probably get slammed- at least it makes the day go by so much faster.

OK, I am rambling - I know it, you know it...so let's get down to business. I am loving the entries into the challenge! Can't wait to see what else you guys come up with.

Good Morning Bloggers!!!

The sun is shining and I would say I slept late- but me and the Hubby stayed up till 3 a.m.- haven't done that in forever!

Now that the craft room is finished, I can get some serious images work done. I am also making Housewaming invites- they are cute. I will post one when I get them done. The housewarming is on St Patricks Day, so of course (being Irish) I am going with the theme...

the ribbon wall. This is made with ikea wire curtain system hung above my work desk .

paint, books, and digital source books share space with created items here.

this is a painting I did and have turned into a ribbon holder by screwing ceramic cabinet knobs and wire onto it. it will be mounted on the wall as well.

Stacking ontainers that hold so much more in less space than the iris carts.

Chicago was a great band for the me generation!

Great news- I am currently working on organizing the giant ribbon box and the (drum roll please) the craft room will be DONE! I did end up keeping one iris cart full of stamps (instead of the five I started with), I kept one small set of drawers for my beads ad I have a wire wall haning system from Ikea to display all the ribbons (that is what I am currently working on) SO later today or tomorrow I will post pics of the room.... (depends on how much shooing off of curious playful cats I have to do)

Silly Me

I just realised I did not get the contents of the goodie box posted for almost a whole week... So since Robin was the only entry in that time she will have her choice of two boxes. I will extend the challenge by a week and still draw for the other box from the first 25, including Robin.

Does this seem fair? Robin please email me your address and choice of box.... And thank you for being so awesome! I did not take close ups of the papers this time...but there is A LOT of it.
Also most of the stamps are brand new in both boxes...except for the Stampin Up watercolor garden sets- which were some of my favorites...

GOODIE BOX CONTENTS

As promised here are pictures of the first goodie box that will go to the winner of the drawing at the end of the first week of our CHALLENGE. Remember, the first 25 entries will "go into the hat" for a random drawing to win this box. I put lots of papers, stamps, doodads, and whatnots in this box....so there are a lot of pics because I spread everything out on the king size bed in the guest room. The first pic is an overall shot then the following pics are closer-ups to show the details...I hope.

I am so glad that I have taken a few days off work...I really need the break. I slept in this morning a bit and am still in my jammies, although the plumber is coming to fix the kitchen faucet so I will have to get dressed soon.

Winter Wonderland

We got a few iches of snow last night. I also got a call from the plumber, who will be here thursday to fix my kitchen faucet...so no visit to Rosey's- bummer. I got a dozen new royalty free sourcebooks in the mail yesterday! Yippeee...I hope to come up with some unique and totally awesome images for you guys.

Yup, you guessed it- Dusty Springfield is stuck in my head...and this is day three! I keep trying to banish this song by listening to ANYTHING else and the minute I let my guard down...BOOM! "the only one who could ever reach me...was the son of a preacher man...." AAARRRGHHH!!!

The daughter that left home is having car troubles and man troubles and may be back soon....another AARRRGGHH- I love her, but I want my peaceful house (not to mention the spare room for all my overflow stuff) lol. Ah well - Kids. you gotta love 'em.

this is a short week for me because I am taking two days off and am going to spend a few days with my Rosey! Yayy...Here are today's goodies...

Sunday Mornin' Rain is Fallin....

ok, so we don't have rain, but Maroon 5 is one of my favorite bands and I love the song...lol

Worked like crazy yesterday amid two sets of company. I now have a very large box of goodies from which to make the goodie box for the challenge. I will post pics of what I choose later today.

I found a cute image (coloring page) on Raisingourkids.com and have altered it quite a bit...but did not want to claim it as completely my creation...so that is the first image today.Here it is in its original form...we could play spot the differences! lol.

I want to say a heartfelt thanks to all of you for making my blog a success. I could not keep doing this without your support!

OUR FIRST CHALLENGE!!!!

Since I have not figured out how to have you upload your own photos, I will have you email your entries to me at anjisantics@gmail.com

The first challenge is wide open- make anything using my images. The winner will receive an image from me of their style choice (steampunk, scrollwork, portrait, altered photo...etc) that will not be available for free to anyone else.

I will post the challenge entries on the Challenge page.

Challenge will last from today February 10 through February 24. Winner will be posted by February 26.

Additionally- The first 25 entries will be added to a drawing for a goody box. (contents will be stamping doodads, and stamps) The entries must be received by February 17 to be considered for the drawing.

Stormy Weather and Chicken Noodle Soup

We got a little sow yesterday, but it melted off by mid-day. I have bee fighting a cold for a couple of weeks and yesterday the cold won the skirmish...so I only got one image made- but I love it! Hope you do as well.
Now that the spare bedroom is empty, I should be able to finish the sorting and unpacking this weekend...yay! (I WILL win the craft hoard war- even if I end up keeping some stuff I thought I was going to get rid of...because Hey we all win when we get to keep cool stuff right...lol)

I would like to do a test run before the challenge begins...would one of you see if you can post a picture of something you made in the comment today?

I will start a page for our contest posts - I have seen and used the linkz thingy on other blogs, but have not been able to figure out how to get it on mine. Will keep working on it. Have a great day!

I stayed up late last night because it was my daughter's last night home. She ad her beau leave today for Oregon- then parts unknown. Her plan is to see the country. I will miss her so much!
