Much. Es kommt immer drauf an. Was bei Frau Müller eine Rolle spielt (nervöses Rumzuppeln am Schal, unleserliche Folien) spielt bei Frau Meier keine Rolle, weil ihre bewegte Stimme und ihre klare Satzstruktur das überdecken.</p> <p>Ja, werde ich am Ende sagen. Eine Regel gibt es dann doch.</p> <p><strong>Erst denken. Dann Folien entwerfen.</strong></p> <p>Und selbst die gilt nicht immer und für alle. Manchmal fängt man mit einem Bild im Kopf an und alles andere folgt.</p> <p>Für die meisten aber ist Scribbeln eine gute Idee. Analog planen, digital umsetzen. Das geht auf Papier, aber auch z.B. am iPad. Ich nehme dafür gerne <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/de/app/penultimate/id354098826?mt=8">Penultimate</a>, eine 0,79-Cent-App, die das Entwerfen ganz einfach macht und verschiedene »Papiersorten« anbietet: kariert, liniert, blanko. Mit Rand, ohne Rand.</p> <p>Ganz wunderbar geeignet für Vortragende ist das Storyboard-Layout. </p> <p>Wenn Sie noch nach einem geeigneten Stylus fürs iPad suchen: <a href="http://www.macworld.com/article/156560/2011/05/touchscreen_stylus_roundup.html">Hier</a> eine schöne Übersicht von 12 Stiften.</p> <p>Natürlich können Sie auch auf Papier scribbeln. Einem sehr guten Chinesen. Mit sehr vielen Seiten in der Speisekarte. Der Farbcode ist einfach zu knacken: Blau für Mittags, Grün für Anfänger, Gelb für Mutige. Weniger leicht zu entziffern: die Cantonesischen Namen der Gerichte. Wer sich mehr als drei Zahlen nicht merken kann, schreibt sie besser auf. Der Alternativchinese (auch sehr gut) ein paar Straßen weiter arbeitet mit Bildern. Die Stäbchenhülle auch. Für Anfänger immer noch die beste Lösung. Das Prüfungsthema ist mutig gewählt, denn er weiß, dass ich Joshua Prince Ramus richtiger und wichtiger finde als Gehry: Mit dem Kunden Formen und Funktionen entwickeln, statt ihm eine Vision überzustülpen. Deshalb habe ich schließlich seinen <a href="http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/ger/joshua_prince_ramus_building_a_theater_that_remakes_itself.html">2009-TED-Talk </a>übersetzt.</p> <p>Aber bei Präsentationsprüfungen geht es nicht vorrangig um die Kritik eines Themas, sondern um seine Umsetzung. <em>Meta works.</em></p> <p>Es geht los mit einen Zitat. Das könnte schiefgehen, es ist ein langes Zitat, aber es sind Worte, die den Raum füllen, und die Basis schaffen. Mehr als eine Minute vorlesen geht immer schief. Basis hin oder her.</p> <blockquote> <p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 18px;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Wie beschissen die 70er Jahre waren, kann man auch aus den verklemmten Architekturprojekten lesen. Die Umfrage und Gefälligkeitsdemokratie lebt hinter Biedermeierfassaden. Wir aber haben keine Lust, Biedermeier zu bauen. Exerimentieren passt zum Thema: Das Dekonstruktivistische greifbar zu machen im Detail. Es kann Störungen verursachen, sage ich, sie werden Ihnen nicht zuhören, während sie bauen. Aber sie werden verstehen, worum es geht. Der Plan ist, ein Tablett mit Baumaterial herumzugeben. </p> <p>Dazu alle 60 Sekunden eine Regieanweisung. Wir sind eine kleine Gruppe, das passt.</p> <p>In PowerPoint können Sie Folien, die Sie nur für sich benötigen, als Notiz, ausblenden. Die Folien werden dennoch in der Folienübersicht oder der Referentenansicht angezeigt. Input nur für Sie. Keynote ist hier leider eine Handbreit zu gründlich: Ausgeblendet ist ausgeblendet. Auch Sie sehen nichts. </p> <p>Ihre Entscheidung, sage ich. Ihr Windows oder mein Mac? Er entscheidet sich für meinen Mac (gut, keine unnötigen Umbauten). Er wird die Folien Weitergeben einfach rot einblenden. Good enough quality ist fast immer gut genug. </p> <p>Und es lohnt, und es funktioniert. Zitat, Handgreifliches, Folien, Erklärungen, Weiter. Und ja, wer baut, hört nicht zu, aber keiner baut länger als eine Minute. Choreographie und Regieanweisungen. Analog und Digital. Show and Tell. Es ist wie immer der Genremix, der die richtige Spannung erzeugt.</p> <p>Am Ende steht das Gegenzitat zum Anfang: Architektur kann, aber sie muss nicht brennen. The story line is perfectly simple. A desk is so much more than just a desk, but more often than not it is also cluttered. Wenn es im Unterholz raschelt, drehe ich mich um. Wenn Sie piepsen oder klingen, als ob Sie sich für Ihren Namen schämen, höre ich weg.
