Another Year of Blessings

It is a very special day for me today, I was born 20+ years ago on this day. Yeayyy.... It's my birthday. I thank God for His blessing.

In office, boss and colleagues treated my birthday with a lunch plus a cake in Secret Recipe.I've was blasted by tonnes of birthday wishes and love from friends and relative all over the world through Facebook Wall. Close friends bought me a cake and a "champagne" (actually it's a sparking non-alcohol drink..hahah) at night.. what a great day for me.

Even I didn't get even one gift that listed in my wish list. I am still thankful for the blessings.

Thank you, Lord for the gifts of friends and loved one.

More and more blessings from God each day

Can't stop praising and thanking God today! I have passed my Adobe InDesign Expert Exam finally, with not my own strength but by God's. I have failed the exam for three times. Can you imagine how painful experience it was.... I remember I only failed once my whole life as far as I remember (in Add Math subject) during my last year High School (Form 5) coz I really didn't well-prepared for my exam. And the experience was really horrible and suck. I told myself nt to repeat the same mistake again.

But different from this time, I have studied days and nights and weekends and yet I couldn't pass the paper even though I've been using the software (Adobe InDesign particularly) in my workplace and projects. What's wrong with me? I asked myself. What asked God for wisdom. But for the 4th trail, I prayed Jacob's prayer. I said, "Dear Lord, I have done my best in the exam and prepared as much as I could, now I pray that you will blessed me like you have blessed Jacob. I will not let go of You until You've blessed me. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen."

And as usual, I went to the exam room once again for the 4th time. With a little embarrassment, I greeted the receptionist and she led me to my exam seat. While I was in the exam hall, I surrender all out to God. Frankly said, my mind was blank most of the time during the exam, maybe due to leak of sleep as I was burning mid night oil the night before to revise once again the manual. But I know God is in control. I can feel Him.

When the clock ticking at the very last seconds of the exam, I prayed again. "God, I will not let You go until You've blessed me." And when I opened my eyes, I saw a word, "Congratulation, you have passed your exam. Your results is ...%" appeared on the screen. And I almost jumped out and shouted by I managed to control my joy and happiness. I praise God for the answered prayer. It was quite a dramatic moment between me and God. I praise God again and again and couldn't stop thanking Him. I will remember my whole life how joyful I was at the moment. A great challenge and impossible achievement for me has become real in my life because of God's guidance. Whoahhhhhhhh.... the experience is G-R-E-A-T-E!!!!!!

Now I know why God has put me through this painful experience. He has shaped me into a great person, future great and expert for Adobe. He has made me understand that I need to fully surrender all my fear to Him, and become more humble person, be patience for His answer and always depend on HIM at ALL TIME.

I thank God for the wonderful painful experience I've gone through.

Through suffering you learn to appreciate things, no suffering you don't feel anything!!! Life is always about you take for granted for whatever is not earned by hardship. Even God said, it is the narrow path that leads to Heaven. Broad path will lead to hell. Matthew 7:13 (NIV)- Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Yeah... I totally agree with it.

Thank you, Lord! for the great lesson.

Bad day

Today, I don't really feel like praising God. Even though in my heart I force myself to thank God but I thanked Him insincerely. I failed my Adobe ACE exam for the 3rd time.... 3rd time..... i can't believe it but that's the fact. I told myself to be strong even though the results is SxxK.... haihhh *sigh*

I don't know have to fail 3X. It is easy to praise God in times of happiness... but when trials come, can you praise God? What to praise God for? Praise God for allowing me fail in my exam? Praise God for not answering my prayer? What shall I say to God? Thank you Lord for I have failed in the exam? what i need to Lord? shall i try and try and try? You know the exam is not FREE or charge... you know i have financial problem right now... these time it is really hard for me.... i want to know why God doesn't want to answer these prayer. I've been studied for months, prepared everything I could to pass this exam but at the end is still fail. I became a laugh matter in the office... i feel myself so dumb and stupid... I was not like this before, my studies was all went smoothly, i was on of the top student in school those day... but WHY GOD????? WHAT IS THE REASON???? I have humbled myself, I have asked wisdom from so many times... but.................... once again i feel so stupid!

Forgive me, Lord for all my unrighteousness....

My Answered Prayers

Today, I would like to thank God for two answered prayers.

First, I thank God for Adobe has approved my request to get 50% discount on my ACE Exam. I only asked for one discount voucher instead Adobe gave me 5 vouchers. Wow!! that why Jesus' said, "Ask and it shall be given". I am truly blessed! huhuhu... That's the reward of patient saint, I guess, because I've been waiting for them to reply for more than a week. It is not that long though but still....... I can take other Adobe products exam from this vouchers...*happy smile*

Secondly, I praise God for lessening my financial burden. Few months ago, I was suggesting to a brother in Church that I would like to sponsor her daughter to learn piano as she is a very gifted girl. At aged 8, she can play piano even though she never learned it before, she plays by ear (listening). I am so impressed by her talent. I was touched and feel that she should learn it and maybe she can be a pianist in church one day, I was thinking. I know her family can't afford to send her for piano class so by faith and without thinking twice I offer myself to sponsor her for at least a year of piano lesson. At the moment, I didn't think that I myself also having so many financial commitments and actually not sure whether I can afford it or not. I told the father about the idea and of course he's so happy.

Weeks after weeks passed by, it is time to prepare for the lesson fee. Oh no... actually I was almost wanted to break the promise but I told myself that it is not nice to pull out now, and I believe that God will help me go through this challenges. True enough, last Sabbath, when I talked to the father of the girl to remind him about the class which will be commenced this month. Instead he brought a good news to me that another person also wants to sponsor her daughter. So I talked to that person (another sponsor) and we both share the same burden and end up we both will sponsor her till end of 1 year. Wow... I thank God for there is people has the same burden as I do that is to help those who really in need.

I thank God for helping me lessen my financial burden. I am sure there are many kids out there who needs our care but no one to turns to. I hope I can do more to help talented and unfortunate kids out there. I pray that God will always use me as His instrument to touch others life. Dear God, give me strength and bless me so that I can bless others. Glory to God in the highest for He has answered my prayer!

My Prayer today: Dear God, I pray that you will bless me so that I can buy a car so that I can mobilizes conveniently to work and to church. Amen.

Port Dickson Trip

I had a great weekend with friends as we journeyed to Port Dickson (PD) yesterday afternoon. I have not done any unplanned or impromptu activities in a loooong time....

Wait a minute!!! Port Dickson??? Why Port Dickson??? Emmm... of all the places.... many will be wandering... (somehow not many people like PD for vacation). But for me, as long as I am out of my routine activities, any place will do to release stress. Although many will opt for more beautiful place or new adventure activities, I still like PD as it is. The beach, the sunset, icecream... ahhhh.... lurrveee it. Am always amazed by the beauty of God's creation.

It was a great weekend; beach, sunset, pasar malam, ikan bakar dinner, karaoke, hangout with friends,... what a night! I miss hangout with friends, going places... left behind busy lifestyle, off we go!

Wish I could do this more often!

Looking forward to this weekend too! Penang here I come...

A story by a girl.

"When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.
On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed!
Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember Watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad For burning the toast. And I'll never forget what he said: 'Baby, I love burned toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if He really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, 'Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!' You know, life is full of imperfect things.....and imperfect people. I'm not the best housekeeper or cook.'

What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other's faults - and choosing to celebrate each other's differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of GOD. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where burnt toast isn't a deal-breaker!

We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!! "

My Soon Coming Project : Photobooking

I am always interested in printing line and been wanting to print my own stuff ... I've got an inspiration to print out my collection of health tips that I got all these while which I've got from friends in health preventive promotion, my collections of recipes, my family photos, my dad's little picnic destination promotional books and so on... for years I've been dreaming about this project. But everytimes I wanted to start my mind was blank. I don't know where to start. Plus having budget constrain made the dream faded slowly for awhile.

But lately that passion and dream bugging me again... :) I've been thinking alot about it lately. And Thank God I found photobook.com.my in Google Ads in my blog here.... wow... it's an answered prayer. Now I am pretty sure know my passion and dream to produce my very own little 'magazine' project will become reality with very much motivation when I found photobook.com.my! Yeah... am so excited about this project.
Hope that I will complete my very first production by the end of this year! Now I am smiling from ear to ear... am soooo E-X-C-I-T-E-D about this!

Do you have problem to remember all your username and password of the sites that you registered with? I do, many times... as my memory is really bad when comes to remember the password (and username)...

Hassle No More if you use OpenID! Great ideas of internet world. Use OpenID to log in to all your registered website only with one username and one password. I find it suits my need. But too bad some website still don't use OpenID system yet. Well that's the drawback with this thing... well at least it solve 40-50% of my problem already.

This song is so meaningful to me coz it reminds me of Emma's (my sis) during her graduation in June 2007. They sang this song beautifully during that Sabbath morning at the Class of 2007 Graduation Service. It touched my heart so much to see her finally graduated after been through many challenges,ups and downs in her life. How wonderful to hear that she sang that song:

I thought this story is awesome and would like to share it here. I got this story from forwarded email from a friend of mine which I think is a very good lesson to learn and to remind us about important of sharing.

A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, ' God , I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it impossible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand.'

It is simple,' said God . 'It requires but one skill.

You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'
