thought I’d write a quick post on a groovy tool I uncovered the other day, namely Cash Keywords Toolbar. Quite frankly I believe every marketer who uses Keyword research, will find this tool incredibly handy and useful.

well I’ve just come back from holiday, and lol and behold find myself with writer’s block? So I thought to myself, how do I overcome this? Here’s what I found.

Well, first of all, I thought fresh air would help, so I sat on the balcony and indeed this got my mind working. I thought to myself, why don’t I just start writing something, anything, to overcome the writers block. I found the second technique of just starting writing is obviously helping, and writing about how to overcome writers block seems to be an obvious subject at present.

A cup of tea and good background music to keep my mind flowing, also seems to be doing the trick. Having a small snack to feed my brain and ward of tiredness, also seems to be helping.

I think in the future though, the biggest thing for me would be to find out when you’re at your writing best, and get into the habit of writing at that time.

Whatever The Task Is, Know WHY You Need To Do It
I put this first, after all, if you don’t know why you need to do something, where’s the motivation to do it? Give yourself a big reason WHY and imagine how good you’ll feel when you’ve completed the task.

Break The Task Down into Small Bite Size Pieces
How do you eat an elephant?? One bite at a time. Often people procrastinate because they’ve put the task off for so long it’s actually grown a lot bigger than it is, so they feel overwhelmed. Break it down and completely focus on one small task at a time, let yourself become absorbed in the task, before you know it, you’ll have it completed.

Just Do It!
Still don’t know where to start? Think Nike, “Just Do It!” Do it for at least 10min. Just get started. Remember procrastination creates stress, anxiety and depression, so take action and do it, even if it’s just for 10min.

Use Pleasure And Pain
Focus on the benefits you’ll receive from completing the task, and imagine the worst possible consequences for not completing the task.

Reward Yourself
The mind has a natural tendency to drift after concentrating for long periods of time on the same task. So schedule rewards for yourself to give your mind a break and help you stay refreshed and focused.

Build Momentum
Complete some small or fun tasks first so you have that sense of achievement to drive you on to tackle the rest of your project.

Allow Sufficient Time
People have a tendency to underestimate how much time it takes to get things done. Allow sufficient time to complete tasks, and if you do get the task completed quicker than expected, reward yourself and then move on to the next task.

Create A Sense Of Urgency
Allow sufficient time, don’t let time get away on you though. Create a sense of urgency. Create mini deadlines for your projects and aim to have the project completed by that deadline. Remember to give yourself enough time between your mini deadline and your big deadline though, so that if anything unexpected does come up, you have allowed yourself sufficient time to complete the project on time.

Focus On The Task At Hand
Instead of focusing on your fears, focus on the small parts you need to get done, write them on a whiteboard and mark off each one you complete. Allocate a certain amount of time for each task and use a timer to time yourself. This way, instead of focusing on fears, your focusing on what your doing, and how much time you have left to do it. You’re using stress to drive you, instead of letting procrastination overwhelm you.

Beat Anxiety
If your still finding it hard to get started and keep going because the project fills you with anxiety, try this tip. Inhale deeply while counting 5 heartbeats (finger on pulse), exhale as you count 5 heartbeats. My skydiving instructor taught me this whilst in the plane, about to partake in my very first skydive. It helps. You’ll notice your breathing slow down and your whole body relax more. When the tension has subsided, get started. Do something, no matter how small. The feeling of accomplishment will help ease your anxiety. Remember, stress is caused when you’re not doing what you should be doing.

No one wants to visit a blog day after day and see the same posts. Update your blog content at least twice a week. This will be easier if you write several posts ahead of time and upload them at the appropriate times.

Choose a niche for your blog that interests you. If it is interesting you will spend more time doing it. Create content not only for your blog but also to be submitted to article directories. Use the resource box to advertise your blog so people can find you.

4. Viral Marketing.
This is where you spread the word about your blog. Talk to friends, family and even strangers. Give out business cards that have your blog address on them.

5. Use RSS Feeds.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Readers can subscribe to your feed and get email updates when new content is posted. It is an easy way for them to keep up with your blog without spending all day online.

6. Submit Blog to Search Engines.
Doing this allows your blog to be ranked. Google and Yahoo! are two of the most popular search engines you want to crawl your blog pages. It doesn’t guarantee top ranking, though. You’ll have to do a little more work for that.

7. Joining Forums

Submitting posts to social bookmarking sites allows others who are members of those sites to track you back to your blog.

You see, it’s pretty obvious why this question gets asked so often. If we email marketers know when our audience is sitting at their computers, then there’s a better chance that they’ll see it. If they see it, they might open it, click on our links, take out their credit cards and buy our stuff.

And so email marketers try to find the “sweet” spot: That point when the recipient’s email inbox is fairly empty, so your email will be easy to spot. Maybe you want to find a time of the day when the recipient has a few minutes to spare. Perhaps you look for a day of the week when it’s likely our subscribers are sitting at their computers.

But for the most part, it’s guesswork. And just guessing the best time to send an email doesn’t put money in your bank accounts.

If you want to be certain about the best time to send an email, then you need to follow this simple two-step system…

Step #1: Find out when most of your readers are online.

Instead, you may find that your list is most responsive late at night, after their home from work and the family is asleep. Or you may find that they’re most responsive to your offers first thing in the morning.

Point is, finding out when your audience is online serves as a starting point. But ultimately, you need to test your list to find out when they’re most responsive. That means creating identical emails, splitting your list, and sending your emails out at different times of the day (and even different days).

In short: Let your subscribers vote with their wallets. Tracking and testing is the only way to know for sure when your list is the most eager to respond to your offer.
