These adorable twins are making their first communion this month and so we took some portraits to remember this special event in their lives. After we took the First Communion portraits we let loose and took some casual portraits as well and started with one of them with their gorgeous mother. Then we moved on to the beautiful Ms. S….

And then the handsome Mr. E….

And lastly we captured the two of them in their red shoes in their favorite spot – in the tree.

I cannot believe how much they have grown since the first time I photographed them here and then later here. Boy does time fly!

Glamourous birthday celebration

This was such a unique session for me. I have never had a portrait session where I am working with just women, so I had no idea how fun it would be! I love Glamour Photography!! I can’t wait to have an opportunity to do something like this again!!

It was this stunning beauty’s birthday and she and her best girlfriends got dressed up and rented a limo for a fabulous night out on the town. So I started out the session by focusing on her portraits.

Then I went on to photograph each of her gorgeous friends…

Then the celebrating began…

And of course we had to sneak in hubby for a few…

And as shown before in my sneak peek, my favorite image of the day…

Well, I am so happy to announce that I am now booking portrait sessions again!! Thank God I am feeling really good and seem to have gotten my health problems under control. I am so grateful to God for the blessings he has given me and that I am at a place where I can work again. I cannot wait to create memories for you that will last a lifetime!

I am very excited to announce that I am now booking portrait sessions again. I pour so much time, attention and care into the process of each of my sessions and so in order to maintain the kind of quality time with my family that I desire, please note that I will only schedule a limited amount of sessions each month which may cause a bit of a wait to schedule your session, but I promise it will be worth the wait!

Also, I am very excited to announce that I am now booking weddings as well! In 2010 I photographed my first four weddings and I really enjoyed my experiences with all the wonderful brides and grooms as well as their families and I was very happy with how all of the final collections turned out, so I look forward to expanding this part of my business. I now have a wedding section in my portfolio as you’ll see under “My favorite images of…Weddings” up at the top of my site and you can find more information about my wedding photography up at the top under “The scoop on…My Wedding Photography.”

As you can see I have combined my portfolio site and blog into one blogsite which is something I have wanted to do for sometime so I could have all my images and info in one place. I’ve added new information to my site, changed my product offerings and updated my portfolio with many new images, so please take some time and look around!

Also, I plan to use my Facebook business page much more for updates, announcements and also info on interesting photography products, tips, sites, etc. that I come across that I think my clients may find interesting, so if you have not yet become a Facebook fan, hurry over here.

I very much enjoyed my time away so I could focus on my family and myself and then I worked out a new structure for my business which better blends with my personal life and I am very excited to get back to work.

While I was off I took lots of photographs of my boys and below are some of my favorite images I took during this time.

This last image I just took recently and this was a genuine moment. I was just messing around photographing some flowers on the back porch and I saw them sitting together being all sweet and ran over with my camera and caught this moment. They are so close and even though they can definitely fight with the best of them, they really are very close and I just love this moment…..

TAKING TIME OFF…

I have neglected my blog for quite some time and it is with a heavy heart that I write this post today. When I first began photographing other families at the end of 2008 I never imagined how busy things would get as I launched my business in 2009 and then how it would continue to grow rapidly during 2010. I am so flattered there was such a demand for what I do. I love photography and I feel so blessed to have found an activity and career that brings me so much joy. As my business grew rapidly, it began to take me away from family and my personal life so much more than I originally intended. My boys and my husband are my #1 priority and I want to make sure that it stays that way, so I need to restructure my business in a way that supports that. So I have decided to take a sabbatical from my photography business until sometime during 2011 while I plan some changes that will allow me to balance my work and personal in a way that I am satisfied with.

I’ll leave you with one of my favorite images I took of my boys this past summer on our vacation……

This is a great age to photograph! Babies are so happy around this stage and the can usually sit up unassisted so I can capture a great variety of images. At this age, I always like to hold these sessions inside the client’s homes and all these images were taken in this little girl’s living room where she was happy as could be. Take a look at this beautiful girl who made this session an absolute breeze……

5 days old and smiling

I believe this little beauty is the youngest baby I have ever photographer and she was a sleepy little angel during our session. I definitely think mom and dad warming the house up combined with a fully belly helped, but also she was still in that first week sleepy phase. Take a look at this tiny gorgeous girl…..

I love it when they still have their umbilical cord!

And of course we cannot forget the family’s dog! I love including pet images in the session!

Then of course we needed our snuggling images with mom and dad…..

And lastly, mom and dad adoring their precious new baby…..

Two kiddos, ballet and the park (and of course the family pet)

We began this session at the client’s home so we could capture some images of the little girl in her adorable ballet outfit. Photographing little girls is always so fun for me because I have two boys and therefore miss out on adorable girl clothing and of course dancing, dolls, etc. So, it’s always a treat for me to photograph little girls doing their thing. We captured a bunch of adorable images of her in her ballet best and I loved them all, but I think these were my favorites (I just love eyelash images!!)…..

Then we took a few images of the two children in their yard with their sweet dog and I loved this image….

And of course I had to sneak in a few proper portraits of the pup…

Then we were off to the park. I started by finishing Miss G’s portraits….

And then finished with handsome Mr. N doing the things that made him the happiest – riding on the swing and crawling around on the sidewalk…..
