what a long time since my last blog, shame on me.
Well I have been very busy with my work and study, which is no excuse,I should have time out to keep this blog updated.
Last year was a very productive year ,I had an open studio, several exhibitions, met some beautiful people who I hope will continue to part of my life.
My family are all well and happy.
My youngest daughter and her family moved interstate last year for a three year term with the Airforce.
We miss them all very much,we managed to get over to New Castle twice to visit them.We got caught up in the bush fires on our last vist, which was a bit scarey.
This Xmas day we spent with my eldest son and his family at Tumby Bay,the first time we have left our home at Xmas.
It was a great xmas,we were home for boxing day and had open house,so got to have the rest of our children and grandchildren with us.
happy new year to all my followers.

2013-06-30T21:18:00.001+09:30

Thought it time I got back to my blog page and add an update.
I have been a little lazy with my blog, but at the same time very busy with getting work out to exhibitions and galleries,as well as extra studies.
In May I went on the longest road trip,to Clay Push in Gulgong NSW.
It was a great trip and the company was terrific, two of the nicest people,Angela and Connie.
So many potters in one place, beautiful people.
It was 5 amazing days, very informative, great work and I was lucky enough to sell some of my Obvara penguins there.

plans

2012-01-12T07:04:00.002+10:30

It is ages since I last posted anything on the blog,so thought I would pull my finger out and start blogging again.Busy year ahead with five exhibitions to get ready for,and some new work on the go.
My plan is to create work with a naked clay effect,to bring out the beauty of the clay without using glazes, using oxides only where needed to enhance,so fingers crossed. keep you all posted on the results :-)

What can I say,the year just flew by,so many ideas to put into creativeness. And I manage to get quite a few done.
3 totems finished, one erected in my garden,(photos to follow )
The Obvara technique which was passed on to me by an Irish artist Jane Jermyn, who I am eternally grateful for.
This is an amazing technique ,the finish on my pieces are beautiful.I am continuing to research this further.
My work is now in six outlets in South Australia, hopefully I can try the interstate market next.
