I buy very rarely pillows so when I do, I like them a lot! As this Serholt cushion from Village. It makes me think of the fashion brand Hope which I love, and it feels elegant and easily matches with other pillows.

DIY _______ paper clouds

I have been drawing on a mood board for a design event called designwalk13 which will take place in my home town Varberg/Sweden the first june. The theme for the event is shapes so for that I have tested to make these simple paper clouds that I will perhaps use as props.

What you need to make these paper clouds is 10-15 rectangle silk paper sheets. Fold them into an accordion shape and twist a wire in the middle of the folded paper pieces. Fold then the paper sheets upward one half at a time.

I´m incredibly fascinated by shadows and the sculptural lines that shadows create on the walls and the floor. Shadows and shapes feels so inspiring this spring and I´m trying to capture more of it with my camera. INTERIOR _______ new chairs

I have been looking for a long time new kitchen chairs for our dining table. Our old kitchen chairs are all different flea market finds and has worked really well so far, but one of them has been broken and now I would like to focus on just one model. Our new chairs has to be sustainable and maintain high quality so that they last for many years. Here´s two of my favorites models so far,

DIY ___________ magazine holder nr.2 of brass wire

I'm totally in love with various metal wires, partly because they are aesthetically beautiful but also because they are easy to work with and shape as you want. My recent DIY magazine holder no.2 (you can see the first one here), I made by using 2 mm thick brass wire. The holes for the wall are made with equally thick nail. I didn´t have to use no glue to get the wire stuck in the hole, without is the hole minimum 2 cm thick the wire will hold and get stuck in the wall.

metal wire tips: Do not use thinner metal or brass wire than 2 mm, which is enough hard but still goes to work with. If you want to get sharper bends than what I have done, bend the wire against a table edge. Good luck!

Again, she has done it again! I love these new big post cards that I got from Therese Sennerholt that she will launch tomorrow on her web shop. And because I usually don´t have anything fixed on my walls in frames, I taped them up with aluminum tape that I found from a hard ware store.

I love doing those decorations that don´t always fill a function but acts more like a jewel in the interior, like the steel wire that I twisted into a shape and placed over my magazines. I have also in this weekend´s "to do list" start making a book origami that seems so simple to do, it depends of course on the thickness of the book;) See a well-made book origami tutorial here at Facing north with gracia blog. Like most of us my computer is always flooded with images, and instead of frame my pictures I tape them on the wall and build photo collages with them. I like the freedom to create new expressions on the walls that way.

And now I have also started to make my own photo magnets of my pictures by using magnetic tape, I have made already more magnets that I need :)

I just stumbled over this really cool DIY -laundry basket light at wham bam blog there laundry basket were transformed into a lamp! Again, so simple DIY that I will definitely try to make myself. It will fit perfectly into a dark corner in our living room where I've been looking for a floor lamp for a while now.Picture cred and big thank´s for this DIY to WHAM BAM.

(To make sure that the lamp does not overheat the basket, use a low energy bulb.)

Every year at the beginning of the new year when I´m taking down all the Christmas decorations, I begin to organize and move things around. I like to keep it simple, not too simple but just so that the details that I like are more visible. So far I have done just some small changes, like when I moved my frameless mirror next to the tube light. It felt like a good start.

Christmas is the best time I know and I will never get tired of giving Christmas gifts and getting some as well! And I've already got one of my Christmas gifts that I wished for, time for myself. I wanted to have few undisturbed days, just to do what I wanted to do. Like my own a mini-vacation. So earlier this week I took the train to Stockholm. I hade time to buy some Christmas presents and meeting my brother and friends. I ate lunch together with my mentor Lotta Agaton and got so inspired of just talking to her. I met Emma Fexeus and joined her when she got her tattoo at my brother's newly opened tattoo studio La roibe Noir. So I've already got the most important gift this Christmas, time with people I value and time for myself. But yes of course there are some things on my wish list too!

DEKO __________ my christmas home

As I mentioned in previous post my Christmas home is featured this month in Finnish interior magazine called Deko. I love Deko magazine and I think it communicates the Finnish design/interior style amazingly well and makes it relevant even to international audience! The story is coordinated and written by Jonna Kivilahti and photographed by me. Jonna has even a blog called MRS Jones where you can find more pictures from the story.
