Uma prática mundial há mais de 20 anos, o “outsourcing” é caracterizado quando uma companhia busca mão-de-obra para uma ação pontual fora da empresa. O termo não é novidade e até pode ser usado como sinônimo de terceirização. Mas o assunto agora é o “crowdsourcing”; do inglês, “fontes na multidão”. Ou seja, a busca de alguém para efetuar determinada tarefa é feita entre uma infinidade de pessoas. O crowdsourcing é um modelo que utiliza os conhecimentos espalhados pela internet para resolver problemas, criar conteúdo e desenvolver novas tecnologias.

“Agora as empresas pensam: na verdade não importa quem sejam essas pessoas, talvez elas estejam nos Estados Unidos, na Índia ou no Brasil. Se elas puderem fazer o trabalho, a gente paga”, explica Shaun Abrahamson, fundador da consultoria Mutopo.

Funciona basicamente assim: em sites bastante parecidos com aqueles de leilões online que já conhecemos, empresas oferecem oportunidades de trabalhos esporádicos e pontuais. Os internautas que tiverem o perfil da atividade enviam uma proposta e o cliente define quem fica com o serviço. Lógico, vence a proposta com melhor custo-benefício. Tem de tudo e propostas vindas de todos os cantos do planeta.

“Principalmente trabalhos que possam ser feitos online e que possam ser aprovados online. Então, normalmente, é programação, ilustração, tradução, consultoria… são esses os principais trabalhos encontrados”, conta Alex Valdarnini, webdesigner e ilustrador.

Há quase quatro anos, Alex descobriu os sites de crowdsourcing. Hoje, essa renda extra já representa 50% do seus ganhos mensais. “Inicialmente eu pegava qualquer coisa: barata e fácil de fazer, mas hoje eu sou um pouco mais seletivo e pego alguns trabalhos um pouco mais caros e que tenham meu perfil. Assim eu sei que eu posso ganhar o trabalho, já que é em forma de leilão que funciona. Tem gente que realmente vive disso e consegue ganhar bem. E tem pessoas que conseguem tirar de 1 mil até 3 mil por mês, já que a remuneração lá fora é feita em dólares”, conta o ilustrador.
