</b>All fun-loving seniors are welcome to join Pairs and Spares for their first gathering of the new season this Friday, September 21, at 7:30pm! There will be games, goodies, and a great time in store. Sign up today at the Welcome Center! Contact Rhoda Neukuckatz for more info.</p>

<b><p>Free Blood Pressure Screenings Next Weekend<br />
</b>Untreated high blood pressure is a leading cause of strokes, heart disease, and kidney disease. The Parish Nurse Ministry will offer blood pressure screenings next weekend after each worship service. Please come by and have yours checked!</p>

<b><p>Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Event on Saturday, September 29<br />
</b>Join us for a meal-packing night at Feed My Starving Children (1072 National Parkway in Schaumburg) from 7:00-9:00pm on Saturday, September 29. We are also offering a chance for a quick fellowship meal at Prince of Peace after the 5:00pm service, before heading to FMSC. The cost for that option is $5 per person. If you don't want to join us for the meal at POP, you can just meet us at the FMSC Schaumburg facility. <b>Register for either option at the Welcome Center by Sunday, September 23.</b> Questions? <b><p>New 20/30 Something Group Meets Sunday Nights<br />
</b>Twenty/Thirty Somethings are invited to attend a new class called "KINDLE" Sundays from 8:00 to 9:00pm at POP. Formerly known as "CHILL", this new class will meet in the Shepherd's Corner and will be led by Tim Kaufmann. At KINDLE, you will learn about being a servant leader &ndash; not just in the church, but in every aspect of your life. Through a book discussion, self-assessments, and coaching, you will discover who God made you to be. <b><p>New Member Class Scheduled in October<br />
</b>Are you or someone you know looking for a new church home? Our new member class provides a no-obligation overview of everything we believe and do together as a church. Our next new member class will take place in a two-session format from 8:00am-noon on Saturdays October 20 and 27. Registration information is available at the Welcome Center or by calling the church office at 847-359-3451.</p>

<b><p>New Women's Group Meets Monday Nights<br />
</b>Do you love to read? Have you ever wanted a place to discuss contemporary fiction or Christian book titles? <b><p>New Fellowship Group</b><br />
The Clay and Pray fellowship group will hold its first gathering, Saturday, September 29 at 9:00am at Richmond Hunting Club, 5016 IL Route 173, in Richmond, Illinois. The day will start with a devotion, followed by a shooting safety discussion and Sporting Clays. This event is open to both men and women of POP. Students, junior high or older, are welcome with a parent. Rental fees and costs will be collected at the club. Sign up today at the Welcome Center. For additional information or information about bringing you own shotgun and shells, contact Rob Bailey.</p>

<b><p>IGNITE Mom's Group Starting!<br />
</b>Tired of spending every Tuesday driving your junior high kids back and forth to IGNITE and not having a minute to yourself to be in God's Word or enjoy fellowship with other Christian women? Then join us for a new Women's PEACE Group, Tuesday evenings from 6:15pm-8:00pm, starting October 2. This new group will gather at POP during the IGNITE program for friendship, support, and encouragement through God's Word. All are welcome to attend &ndash; even if you don't have children in IGNITE. <b><p>New Women's Evening Bible Study <br />
</b>"Images of Christ," a six-week study for women this fall, will be held Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm in Room 9, beginning October 4. Good Shepherd, Branch, Bridegroom, Cornerstone&mdash;each of these word-portraits reveals an important aspect of who Christ is and leads us to know and respond to the reality behind the images&mdash;Christ, Himself&mdash;in new and deeper ways. Each week is a stand-alone study, so feel free to come when you can, even if you can't attend every week. Sign up at the Welcome Center. Contact Karen DeLau for more information.</p>

<b><p>Pig Roast/Picnic a Huge Success!<br />
</b>Kudos to all involved in organizing and running the fabulous pig roast/picnic last weekend and a big thank you to all who attended and helped supply all the food! If you were one of those great people and you did not retrieve your serving bowl, platter, etc. after the picnic, please do so as soon as possible. All serve ware can be found on the south counter in the kitchen.</p>

</b>IGNITE Tuesday Night, for 6th to 8th graders meets this Tuesday, September 18, at 6:30pm. Come early at 6:00pm for an optional pizza dinner, game lounge and hanging out with friends. Class will end at 8:00pm. For more information about this ministry, contact Joy Kaufmann at 847-359-3451. </p>

<b><i><p>Get Connected</i> for IGNITE 7th and 8th Graders!<br />
</b>All 7th and 8th graders are invited to our fall retreat, <i>Get Connected</i>, Friday-Sunday, September 21-23 at Phantom Ranch in East Troy, WI. We will leave at 5:00pm Friday (come early at 4:40pm for a $1/slice pizza dinner) and return at 12:15pm Sunday. Cost is $95 (additional cost for Saturday activities). Join in the fun of team-building games, paintball, horseback riding, a hayride, bonfire, sand volleyball, and more! <i><p>We Three Kings</i>&mdash;</b>(No, not <u>those</u> three kings!)<b><br />
</b>This 12-week study of the reigns of Saul, David and Solomon will dig deeper into the environment and realities of life that faced each king. This study is led by John Raley on Sunday mornings at 9:30am in Room 10. Find out what threads can be pulled from this study that can be used in the fabric of your own life.</p>

<b><i><p>Crazy Love<br />
</b></i>This class, based on the book by Francis Chan, will focus on God's love for His people and how that love can affect your life in a very real way. This 8-week study is led by Jim Duran Sunday mornings at 9:30am in Room 17.</p>
