The idea is to turn your used printer cartridges into simple to use penny banks. This may seem like a difficult task, but it is actually very simplistic to carry out.

The first thing you will need to do is take your used printer cartridges and clean them out. You can take off the top and can then soak them in the sink overnight in order to make sure that you have removed all of the printer ink from inside the cartridges. Once you have done this you will need to create a slot on the top of the printer cartridge wherein your children can insert the money that they collect.

Once you have cleaned and fixed your coin slot you will then need to permit your children to express their creative side by decorating the outside of these small and fun penny banks. Many parents will create many of these so that children have one penny bank for pennies, one for dimes, and so on and so forth.

These eco-friendly penny banks are a unique way for children to collect money and to also express their creative side as they design their penny bank. Additionally, this makes a very good “rainy day” activity.

It has been tallied as one of household’s highest electricity consumer. Maximizing the use of one’s refrigerator can lessen one’s electric consumption which can save you money and at the same time help the environment in its fight against pollution.

Here are a few refrigerator electricity saving tips:

1. It is wise to position the refrigerator away from direct sunlight or appliances that emulate heat (oven, stove and etc.).

2. Set the temperature of the fridge to 36° – 40° F and freezer to 0° - 5° F. It is unnecessary to set the temperature lower, since it will just use more electricity by as much as 20 – 25%.

3. Avoid having an empty refrigerator as the motor tend to keep running as there is nothing to hold the cold they generate. Put a couple of containers filled with water to remedy this situation.

4. Allow hot foods to cool first before storing it inside the refrigerator.

5. On a regular basis defrost manual frost freezers when the ice build-up to over ¼ inch. Since it works harder and thus consume more electricity.

6. Keep food covered when stored inside the refrigerator.

7. Fix if door seal damage (rubber or magnetic strip) since cold air will escapes and this make refrigerator work harder and thus consume more electricity.

8. Thawing frozen foods in the fridge helps cool the fridge as they defrost.

9. Keep freezer full but not overloaded. Just give at least 1 inch of space around for air to circulate.

By putting electricity saving tips in practice, we are doing our part as an individual in fight pollution that benefit everybody at the same time save money that will benefit us.
Kudos to the guys who manage to give informative health related article ... Thanks

Vitamin B12 is responsible for much in the body and never is that more apparent than when you become B12 deficient. It is vitally important in the process of DNA synthesis and even has a role in neurological function. In order for the body to process B12 properly, you need to have several organs functioning in perfect harmony including the pancreas, stomach, small intestine and intrinsic factor.
In fact, the most common result of such a deficiency is a form of anemia that is specifically caused by a lack of B12. The number of red blood cells in the body drop because of the deficient B12 levels.
B12 deficiency can be caused by several things including:

Alcoholism

A lack of meat, eggs and dairy in the diet

Crohn’s Disease

An inability to absorb nutrients properly

Tape worm

A lack of intrinsic factor

While a vitamin deficiency does not sound all that serious, it really can be. The signs and symptoms along can be cause for alarm. Some common signs of this problem include:

Diarrhea

Fatigue

Numbness of the extremities

Sore mouth

Loss of appetite

Nausea

Cessation of menstruation

Confusion

Memory loss

Hallucinations

Disorientation

Anemia

Nervousness

Behavioral changes

Enlarged mucus membranes

Yes, those are a lot of signs and symptoms. If you have a combination of the above, you should really see your doctor right away. Studies have shown that B12 deficiency can even cause nerve damage.
It can be a scary thought to one day learn that you are seriously lacking this vitamin to the point where it is adversely affecting your health. If it turns out that you are suffering from anemia caused by a lack of B12, you will most likely be treated with B12 injections and then later on weaned off of these shots to be replaced by a balance diet. If, however, you have something called pernicious anemia, you will more than likely need B12 injections for the rest of your life.
A lack of vitamin B12 can reek havoc on your body, not to mention your mind. However, with an acute awareness of your own body and proper treatment, you should be just fine.
But organizing needs commitment to make it into a habit of doing things once. Having an organized closet can save a lot of time and money.

Why? Let me set-up a situation. With clothes folded evenly in a shelf, wrinkles will be eliminated and instead of digging deeper into the mountain of cluttered garments, you will be able to choose the clothes you need for the day in a few seconds. Thus, you have saved time for searching which usually takes a lot of time and you would save electricity bill from ironing a wrinkled garment again. In a sense it can be another Energy saving tips at home.

Tips in organizing your closet:
1. First, throw away unused or worn out garments. Be practical with the sentimental garments. This way, you will be left with a fewer garments but are the essentials.

2. Arrange each kind in a single pile. Like all shirts in one pile, all pants in another pile. Assigning a specific place for everything will make it easier for you to find the garment and placing it back into your closet after laundry.

3. Immediately throw the dirty clothes into a hamper or laundry pile. Schedule for a laundry at least twice a week, this way you will have fewer clothes to return to pile in your closet and you will have lesser time to do it.

4. Now after seeing all your garments in place, you commit yourself to a routine to do the first 3 steps every time you open your closet.

You may also ask the help of professional consultants for personal matters or preferences. Usually they can suggest you to add shelf organizers and remodel to customize your cabinets. But you have to request them to explain to you how to use the newly remodeled closet.

Here is the 10 Easy Diet Tips That Will Work

Losing weight is often one of the best things a person can do for optimal health and wellness. Being overweight can damage to the heart, contribute to high blood pressure and be hard on the joints, to name just a few of the problems that may be caused by carrying around excess weight day after day. Dropping even a few pounds can pay off handsomely in increased health and energy.
While losing weight is extremely important for the overweight or obese, dieting can be intimidating and is difficult for many people. Successful, permanent weight loss requires diligence and a workable plan. When contemplating weight loss, choose a nutritionally sound diet plan. Regardless of which diet is being pursued, try these helpful tips to make the whole dieting experience easier.
Diet Tip #1 – Eat Less, Move More
Excess weight is simply excess calories stored on the body. To get rid of excess weight, eat fewer calories than are consumed and get some exercise. While this may seem elementary, too many dieters do not adhere to this basic principle. The added advantage of eating less and moving more is that exercise will increase fitness while simultaneously burning calories, which in turn will increase the metabolism and cause the body to use more calories even while at rest.
Diet Tip #2 – Try Diet Friendly Substitutes
Consider where calorie-saving food substitutions can be made. Read labels or do some research online to determine where significant savings can be achieved. For instance, replace whole milk with low fat milk, or better yet, fat-free milk. In recipes, substitute plain yogurt for sour cream. For a snack, choose raw vegetables over chips or crackers. To get the salt to stick on popcorn, use a light coating of cooking spray rather than melted butter.

Diet Tip #3 – Beware of Low Fat or Fat Free Foods
Carefully read the label on any item claiming to be low fat or fat free. High calorie substitutes, such as high fructose corn syrup, are often used to enhance flavor and texture in low fat or fat free foods. In addition, to increase palatability, many of these items rely on chemical substitutions that may be undesirable.
Diet Tip #4 – Become Familiar with Portion Sizes
Use a measuring cup and diet scale to determine exact portions. Correct portion size is often difficult to estimate, leading to over consumption of the food in question. After portion estimation proficiency is achieved, periodically recheck portion weights or measures to ensure continued accuracy.
Diet Tip #5 – Use Small Plates and Cups
Make portion control easier by using smaller plates and cups. Having food arranged so that the plate appears full eases feelings of deprivation. Use a measuring cup to determine the exact volume of various cups or glasses. Use a permanent marker to indicate specific measurements on frequently used items. Purchase a toddler or child-size divided plate to help control food portions at meals or when snacking.
Diet Tip #6 – Forego Second Helpings
Limit meals to one helping of each food. Eat slowly, putting the fork down between each bite. Drink plenty of water and extend mealtime as long as necessary to ensure that satiety is reached without indulging in a second helping. Include raw vegetables with each meal to provide a healthy, low calorie option if the temptation for seconds cannot be resisted.
Diet Tip #7 – Control the Environment
Make dieting as easy as possible. Stock the pantry and refrigerator with diet friendly foods. To avoid relapse in times of weakness, get rid of all high calorie foods or any item that may lead to uncontrolled consumption. Have appropriate snacks on hand at work or in the car. Make wise food choices easy by preparing meals at home and taking a lunch each day rather than eating out and relying on willpower.
Diet Tip #8 – Eat on Purpose
Don’t be afraid to get in touch with hunger. Discover what true hunger really feels like. Treat this as research and document all findings. Observe what happens to the body as hunger approaches and how long it takes the physical feeling of hunger to subside even when no food is consumed. Also, pay attention to any emotional reactions that may arise. Strive to develop a sense of actual hunger so that eating becomes a purposeful activity designed to sustain the body only rather than fill other needs.
Diet Tip #9 – Treat Yourself Well
Dieting can be hard work. Pamper yourself during this time by getting enough sleep and enjoying non-food-related treats. If a slip occurs, it is not the end of the world and should not be the end of the diet. A slip is nothing more than a momentary failure. Simply forgive yourself and move on without recrimination.
Diet Tip #10 – Drink Water Before Meals
Drinking a glass of water 15 minutes before you eat makes it easier to feel full sooner, and makes it harder to eat as much.

On a personal note "Dieting and exercise should go together hand in hand to promote a better and healthy lifestyle." To iterate here is the top 20 benefits of exercise :

1. Elevates your metabolism so that you burn more calories everyday.

2. Increases your aerobic capacity (fitness level). This gives you the ability to go through your day with less relative energy expenditure. This enables a "fit" person to have more energy at the end of the day and to get more accomplished during the day with less fatigue.

3. Maintains, tones, and strengthens your muscle. Exercise also increases your muscular endurance.

4. Decreases your blood pressure.

5. Increases the oxidation (breakdown and use) of fat.

6. Increases HDL (good) cholesterol.

7. Makes the heart a more efficient pump by increasing stroke volume.

8. Increases hemoglobin concentration in your blood. Hemoglobin is part of the red blood cell that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body.

9. Decreases the tendency of the blood to clot in the blood vessels. This is important because small clots traveling in the blood are often the cause of heart attacks and strokes.

10. Increases the strength of the bones.

11. Causes the development of new blood vessels in the heart and other muscles.

12. Enlarges the arteries that supply blood to the heart.

13. Decreases blood levels of triglycerides (fat).

14. Improves control of blood sugar.

15. Improves sleep patterns.

16. Increases the efficiency of the digestive system which may reduce the incidence of colon cancer.

17. Increases the thickness of cartilage in joints which has a protective effect on the joints.

18. Decreases a woman's risk of developing endometriosis by 50%.

19. Increases the amount of blood that flows to the skin making it look and feel healthier.

20. Exercise, in addition to all the physiological and anatomical benefits, just makes you feel GREAT!

Just a reminder don't forget to eat a balance diet, exercising without a proper diet to support this lifestyle, will do you more harm than good.

On a personal note "Dieting and exercise should go together hand in hand to promote a better and healthy lifestyle." A healthy lifestyle means more energy to deal with family matters
So much energy and resource material is used in making technological products. And just think about how often you’ve seen a computer monitor or TV laying on the side of the road waiting to be picked up? All of that waste eventually goes in our landfills, which are already too full.

Recycled printer cartridges, then, can be a really practical and inexpensive way to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Most efforts to stop pollution and limit waste start at the individual level, which means you could make a real impact on the world by following a few simple steps.

Recycle

Let’s say your current ink cartridges run out of ink. Normally, you just throw them into the trash and go out and purchase a new one, right? This is where you can make the first change. The first way you can help the environment is to recycle your printer cartridges. Nowadays, most cartridges come with a postage-paid envelope in which you can mail the empty printer cartridge back to the manufacturer. The company will then melt down the plastics to make new cartridges. This helps reduce resource consumption and it saves you money. How, you ask?

Buy Recycled

The next time you find yourself running out of ink, don’t just pick up any old cartridge to replace the old one. Instead, buy recycled ink cartridges. They are most often cheaper than the new cartridges and you are helping preserve valuable resources and energy by doing so. Plus, you won’t even notice a difference in print quality as these cartridges are brand new—they’re just made from recycled materials. Even so, there is still one other way you can be good to the environment and your bank account in regards to printer ink cartridges purchases.

Refill Cartridges

Refilling kits are a type of recycling in a sense. You are not purchasing a new cartridge, rather, just the ink that goes inside of it. Nothing more is being wasted in the process. When you run out of ink, you can order a refill kit, which contains instructions and the ink itself. You’ll simple refill the empty printer cartridge in your own home. You save money and again, conserve the environment.

Recycled ink cartridges are the way of the immediate future. All you need is the will power to try something different and you’ll be saving money and going green all at the same time! That’s a hard combination to beat, don’t you think?

See how easy it is? With a bit of change, you can make a big difference by using recycled printer cartridges, refill kits and recycling your own cartridges. You can even stop by most office supplies stores these days and drop off your empty cartridges to be recycled in a special bin. Everybody’s on the recycling bandwagon, so why aren’t you?

In the color laser printer segment, HP color laser printers seem to enjoy a monopoly of sorts when it comes to their range of low cost per page printers. Here is a rundown of the best low cost laser color printers from HP.

HP Color LaserJet 3600
HP Color LaserJet 3600

The print speed of this HP printer is good at 17 ppm. However, what makes these color laser printers stand out is in their cost per page. Compared to most conventional one-pass printers in the laser printer segment, this one is the lowest in cost per page. It works out to only a cent in cost in the black color prints. However, in the color segment, the cpp is around 9 cents. In the realm of office-oriented printers in the inkjet niche, this cpp is quite competitive. The price of this printer ranges between 465 to 562 USD.

HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP

HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP
At an impressive price of just 499 USD and a smart efficiency, these HP color laser printers are a cost effective choice for small businesses and offices operating on a budget. With an Ethernet and USB connection facility and a cost per page of just 3.2 cents for monochrome prints, it provides good value for money. The cost per page for color prints with this printer is around 16.9 cents, which may seem a little expensive but it is still very competitive.

HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn

HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn

These color laser printers from HP are fast in print speeds and affordable at the same time. You can enjoy printing double-sided files and connection over both 10/100 Ethernet as well as USB connection. The print output is excellent inspite of having fast print speeds of 17 seconds per page. The cost per page for black prints is around 2.5 cents and of color prints is around 4.3 cents, which is very competitive and reasonable in pricing. The price of this printer is around 499 USD.

HP LaserJet 2600n

HP LaserJet 2600n
The price of the HP LaserJet 2600n color laser printers ranges from 295 to 529 USD. Compared to other HP color laser printers this one has the highest CPP at 5 cents for black prints and 22 cents when printing in color. This is because the cost of printer ink cartridges is very high and hence replacement of the printer is a more viable option than changing cartridges once they are empty. The presence of technology called Instant-On Fusing as well as a network port help make this printer useful for small businesses working in groups.

HP Color LaserJet 1500L

The price of these color laser printers is around 149 to 199 USD. Most inkjet printers cost between 25 and 50 cents when there is a mix of graphics and text. However, in this color laser printer, there is a yield of 5000 pages for black printing and 4000 pages for color prints. The price of the black printing is around 83 USD and color variants around 100 USD. Thus, the cost per page of this printer works to about 1.6 cents for black prints and 2.5 cents for color pages.

Good day!!!

Being a vivid gamer and had played dota for year I can’t even count, it pain me that garena rooms used different version of frozen throne, having a different version mean that you can’t see each other game, They basically cant join the game that I created, manually upgrading the version is a good idea but what if it is a lower version. Luckily someone in the cyber world have found a solution in the form of wvs switcher short for warcraft version switcher, this is a very cool program which enable garena dota players to instantly switch between version to join anybody’s game the share the same version.
Since the latest garena room (Philippines) require us garena dota players to use different patch version, so if you already have the warcraft version switcher. all you need is the latest files to switch between the different patch versions of Frozen Throne
P.S. DO NOT EXTRACT, Just copy-paste the files on the wvs folder, locate the folder where other TFT Versions are under your Warcraft Version Switcher folder.

TFT Version 1.24d.zip
TFT Version 1.24e.zip

I hope that this helps Garena dota players, Since I myself don't like to download the whole switcher that is link in the garena site, this way it is faster to acquire the necessary files needed.
Enjoy see you on garena. Garena dota player’s rocks. Just a reminder please do not cheat, do not use map hack.

In order for us to help reduce risks for power shortage, every household needs to do their part. Every time you use power like electricity, you are also burning fuel in power plants. Thus when you save electricity, you are reducing air pollution. Below are some tips on saving electricity at home.

1. Turn off lights when no one is using them, like in an empty room.
2. Replace incandescent lamps with energy saving compact fluorescent lamps.
3. Unplug appliances when not in use.
4. Do not put uncovered liquid in your refrigerator as this will give more work to your compressor.
5. When using the washing machine, do laundry in full load.
6. Hang your clothes to dry whenever possible.

So bottom line is conserve power to make mother Earth a whole lot better for everybody
I often forget to notice that my garage is part of my home. My son will most likely accompany us wherever we go. Here are some tips that could save you and your family from garage related accident.

1. Vehicle – Always keep the doors and trunk of your vehicle close and lock. Keys must not be left inside the vehicle. Store the vehicle key away from children’s reach. Never start or operate the vehicle when children are present inside the garage without adult supervision, they should either be inside the vehicle or outside the garage. Check your vehicle regularly for oil leaks that may spill over the garage floor.
2. Tools – Make sure that every single tool, regardless of its size is out of children’s reach. If you have any tools that are hanging, make sure that it won’t fall on children.
3. Toxic Materials – These comprise of chemicals like paints, thinners, laundry detergents and the likes. These items are ideally store on shelves out of children’s reach.
4. Child own equipment – Bikes, toys and special clothing materials that are stored in a garage should be placed on an area that is only accessible by an adult.
5. Special Item – Always keep a handy fire extinguisher and a first aid kit in your garage away from children’s reach. You never know when an emergency situation will arise.
6. Garage Door – Always have your garage door checked annually by trained professionals.

I would like to stress that making your home child friendly is not only a task for families with children, but also for families that expect a child to visit them.

My wife bore me a son at 10:23 pm, we named him Will.

Upon seeing this wonderful creation of love, my angel, all things seem to have matter not, all trouble seems to ease. He was the smallest of all the babies in the nursery weighting only 5 lbs and 9 oz, when he was brought up to my wife’s hospital room to be breastfed, we were afraid to touch and hold him as he look so fragile, and the reality set in that we will be responsible for him, to feed and nurture him while in this fragile state. He was breastfed for 1 month before we started alternating baby milk formula with breast milk in preparation, since my wife have to go back to work in 2 months time. The first few months pass by with ease, as Will slept most of the time and when he did wake up all he want was milk.

Time passed and he began to develop his own personality, his first smile was on March 15, 2008, when family and friends visited us in our home. One thing I can say he likes to do things on his own, he held his own bottle when he was 1 month and 15 days old; we were very excited and amazed then.

We started introducing fruits, boiled vegetable and porridge when he was 4 months old, about the same time he started to roll over on his own.

On his 7th month, he uttered his first word “pa pa”, which we heard a lot of in the succeeding weeks. I think he notice the joy he brings every time he utter those words, as we will all be smiling and encouraging him to speak, from a simple “pa pa” he begun uttering “pa pa pa pa pa”.

On his 9th month, for the first time he was able to stand on his own inside the crib, here he started practicing walking on back and forth. Whether you believe it or not, Will learned how to walk before he was able to crawl. His favorite toy was a plastic remote keyless entry key. He enjoyed playing with it, since he likes the squeaking sound it makes when you press on a button.

On his 15th month, after a few broken cell phones and controllers, he has this unique game to hide things like his pacifier, keys and cell phones. When you are able to find it, he will give you his cutest smile and next time he will find another hiding place for them.

On his 16th month, he started to show some fascination with how things work. Most of the time, we can see him looking at joints of chairs or table and wondering how they are put together. A couple of times he successfully remove a screw from a wrought iron chair and it surprise me at the same time scared me, by this I started checking every screw if they were tight.

On his 18th month, he started with tantrums attacks; every time he is in this state we hug him tight to comfort him. At present he is addicted to TV Commercials, he would sit attentively every time a commercial is played on TV.

Will is my angel and my life.

Having only one game store in the whole island usually meant a whole day affair when trying to buy a game. The day would include lining up, sorting among boxes to find the game that I want and most of the time I walk away disappointed and empty handed. Sometimes I felt rob for paying too much for a game just because they are new and in demand and with supply coming in once a month I was forced to pay the amount just to acquire the game.

Now, I have put that all behind me but there are times I find myself looking back and smiled about all the hassle I had to go through just to acquire a game when nowadays I seldom find myself going into a game store which now number to less than a hundred. Most of the time I spend a few hours in the internet reading about game reviews and logging in forums which provide the best source of information as they present common problems that were encountered where members gave unbiased opinion about the game; as well as searching online game store for games that I am interested in when most of the time I can even download a free trial version of the game which grants me a real feel of the game before actually buying it plus let me tell you this, buying games online was the best choice I have ever made. While I don’t pretend to know it all or even what I have done is the right thing because up until now it’s still a learning process for me, sure I may have paid a bit more on some of the games but the bottom line is that most of the time I am paying far less. One more thing I found helpful on most online store is when the game I wanted to buy is not available or can’t be found, I just make a simple request and in a couple of days I will know if it can be made available for me to buy the game online or not.

Surely by now you will have a lot of questions and doubts, I know because I felt the same way when the option of buying a game online was first made available. I would like to iterate some of those questions and doubts:
• Is it really cheaper to buy a game online than in a store?
• How long will it be before the game is delivered to my doorstep?
• What happens if I get a defective product?
Based on my experience, yes it is cheaper in most cases since an online store don’t have to pay rent and hire numerous sales clerks but be aware that a shipping cost will be added on top of the price of the item. The game usually arrive 24 to 48 hours, depending on your location it may take longer but some online game store lets you download the game into your computer ready to be use within few hours without the added shipping costs. The only drawback I encountered in buying games online was when I wanted to return a defective product and was told that I have to shoulder the costs of shipping it back to them and getting the replacement back to me.

http://anns-electronicinterest.blogspot.com/

So I am dedicating this blog to the different type of printers. The frequently ask question that one may asked when owning a printer. I hope that the visitors of my website will enjoy their stay here thanks. To start of I will give the definition of a printer

a printer is a peripheral which produces a hard copy (permanent readable text and/or graphics) of documents stored in electronic form, usually on physical print media such as paper or transparencies. Many printers are primarily used as local peripherals, and are attached by a printer cable or, in most newer printers, a USB cable to a computer which serves as a document source. Some printers, commonly known as network printers, have built-in network interfaces (typically wireless and/or Ethernet), and can serve as a hardcopy device for any user on the network. Individual printers are often designed to support both local and network connected users at the same time. In addition, a few modern printers can directly interface to electronic media such as memory sticks or memory cards, or to image capture devices such as digital cameras, scanners; some printers are combined with a scanner and/or fax machine in a single unit, and can function as photocopiers. Printers that include non-printing features are sometimes called Multifunction printers (MFP), Multi-Function Devices (MFD), or All-In-One (AIO) printers. Most MFPs include printing, scanning, and copying among their features.

Ann

Source : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printer_(computing)
