¹³Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

You need to know and understand that there are some people, places, things, or ideas that God does not desire for you to sow into and multiply.

God desires to become God of their lives and through your potential participation outside the will of God, you may be viewed as their God when God wanted their hearts to be turned to Him and Him alone.

Allow God to direct your sowing and continuously order your steps.

Your past enemies and tormentors do not hold the deed of your future unless you allow them to.

Past classmates and bullies on the playground, former romantic interests that broke your heart, past employers or clients that never appreciated what you had to offer, family members that never seemed to love you, and other personalities that never saw you in the same light and manner that God views you do not have any control over your future unless you enlarge their territory at the expense of yours.

See the past for what it really is: the miles behind that cannot enter the city limits of your future unless you pick up all of their baggage and bills. You paid the cost of going through the past once, so do not pay the price over and over again. That is, unless you want to and really enjoy their company.

Sow seeds that produce fruit of long-term positive effect!

Numbers 20:5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of ﬁgs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.

The barren place is a proving ground for my Seed and Fruit Acid Test.

Everyone has some type of seed and fruit in their immediate possession regardless of the fruit being of the ﬂesh or Holy Spirit.

If it appears that there is no visible fruit, it only means that the person, place, thing, or idea may have an abundance of seed in their lives to produce fruit of the Spirit.

For example, a person that consumes alcohol is really trying to escape the pain that is present within his or her life. The consumption of alcohol and other forms of drugs is actually a futile attempt to sow seeds of healing and deliverance from the present pain.

The self-destructing person needs to refocus their efforts in sowing seeds that produce fruit of long-term positive effect versus continuing to sow seeds that lead to further damage and death.

There is an existence of spiritual seed and fruit even in terms of ministry. Even when the biological lines seem to become barren, there is an opportunity for a spiritual transfer of a person's heart, will, and desire to please God to be passed on to reach another generation.

It is very possible to plant seeds of overtaxing ourselves even when trying to do the work for the Kingdom of God. We must remember to not only ask for assistance in ministry, but seek opportunities to train others while supervising their growth and allowing others to become experts in service areas where we may be an "old pro".

Your legacy is limited to what you have instilled and developed within others to accomplish in your absence.
