New York, May 24, 2010 — 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America (9/11 FSSA) adamantly rejects the plan for a mosque to be built atop a planned 15-story structure that would tower over the site where nearly 3,000 people were killed by Islamic terrorists.

According to the project’s leader, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the mosque and “Muslim-led community center” is to be called the Cordoba House, named after the historic period when the Islamic Caliphate in Cordoba ruled much of Europe and non-Muslims lived as second-class citizens under Islamic rule.

Victims’ families view the imam’s expressed plan to “leverage” the mosque’s proximity to Ground Zero to engage in proselytizing and to “grow the Muslim community,” as shockingly insensitive to the history of the site where their loved ones were slaughtered in the worst terrorist attack by extremist Muslims in America’s history; following the attack, 20,000 body parts were recovered in a nine-month operation to remove 1.8 million tons of rubble from Lower Manhattan.

“Imam Rauf is a Muslim cleric who, immediately after 9/11, blamed the attacks on U.S. treatment of Muslims, asserting that Osama Bin Ladin was ‘made in the U.S.A,’” said Debra Burlingame, co-founder of 9/11 FSSA, whose brother was the pilot of the American Airlines flight which was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon. “We do not accept the Cordoba organization’s view that we need Imam Rauf to lecture us about religious tolerance in a city still dealing with the consequences of the attack that he claims we brought on ourselves.”

Last Monday, representatives of 9/11 FSSA met with Sharif El-Gamal, owner and CEO of Soho Properties, the corporation that purchased the two buildings where the mosque will be built at 43-45 Park Place, and asked him to name the investors in the mosque project. Mr. El-Gamal refused, citing the advice of his attorneys, stating that “this is private property” and that “we can build this ‘as of right.’” The property was purchased with $4.85 million in cash.

Imam Rauf is now publicly stating in a professionally-organized PR campaign that the building will be a community center, “not a mosque.” However, Mr. El-Gamal showed 9/11 FSSA members architectural renderings in which a mosque, located on the top floor of the 15-story building, would have a commanding view of the entire Ground Zero neighborhood.

Equally troubling is the fact that, while the stated purpose of the project is to engage in interfaith dialogue and cultural egalitarianism, Imam Rauf embraces Shariah, the Arabic word for Islamic law, a sociopolitical system of jurisprudence based upon the Koran which supersedes man-made law and which rejects the Constitutional doctrine of the separation of church and state. Islamic countries that embrace Shariah and political Islam are known for brutal policies that discriminate against women, gays, and religious minorities. Shariah law is entirely incompatible with the Equal Protection clause of the 14th Amendment and would violate 1st Amendment protections of speech, assembly and the free exercise of religion.

We feel that the attempt to use our loved ones’ deaths and the painful legacy of 9/11 still felt by New Yorkers to engage in a campaign to reverse America’s core doctrine of religious freedom — and to do so under the guise of interfaith understanding — is a gross insult to the memory of those who were killed on that terrible day.

9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America asks concerned Americans — regardless of race, color, creed, or ethnic origin — to join us in denouncing this effort to chip away at America’s bedrock principle of religious freedom.

GOAL-SETTING AND CORRESPONDING ACTION

Genesis 6:13-16; Luke 14:28-30

“I press toward the mark (goal) for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). Setting goals is quite good but if an action (pressing towards it in Christ Jesus) is not taken, then the time spent, the effort made and the goal itself become useless. Before looking at goal-setting, we need to consider what a goal is. A goal can be said to be a projected state of affair that a person or a system plans or intends to achieve within a finite time. A goal ceases to be one if it is not set with an aim (A = I x M: A- Achievement is equal to I- Intelligence and Interest multiplied by M – Motivation). In our text above, the sole aim of building the ark was to save the lives of men and animals during the time of the earth’s flood. If the goal must be achieved, there must be some interest in that direction and some amount of intelligence as well. Also there must be some form of motivation, internal, external, personal or otherwise. If “Intelligence” is 100% and the motivation is zero (0) then achievement becomes zero (0). The percentage of Intelligence and motivation determine the level of achievement. That is why we are considering goal-setting today and the corresponding action to it.

We shall be looking at this topic under three sub-topics, namely, (1) Goal-setting ascertainment; (2) Goal-setting arrangement; (3) Goal-setting attainment.

1. GOAL-SETTING ASCERTAINMENT

Luke 14:28

Goal-setting ascertainment is all about knowing what goal-setting is. Our text above reveals an intention, the ability to sit down to plan and check for possible materials or resources to finish or carry out set goals. In a nutshell, goal-setting is the process of deciding on something you want, planning how to get it, and then working towards it.

Goal-setting helps you to make the goal clearer and the achievement better. Goal-setting is usually accompanied by specific objectives. Objectives are like smaller goals which actually lead one to the main goal. Therefore the various objectives that accompany a set goal must be S-M-A-R-T: Straightforward; Measurable; Attainable; Realistic and Time-framed (Adams and Grieder 2005). Brainstorming is a technique you can use to discover a number of different possible objectives for each goal.

Goals and objective setting are activities that sound deceptively simple when in actual fact they are tasks that can be quite difficult. They require a great deal of sincerity and honesty with oneself during the process. This is because pride and indiscipline can prevent you from choosing an attainable goal or working within the time-frame. “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Generally, as a believer, goal-setting is like an activity which MUST BE planned, written down, checked and adhered to by the leading of the Spirit of God for maximum achievement.

2. GOAL-SETTING ARRANGEMENT.

Luke 14:28; Acts 6:2-4

Why set goals or make arrangement for it? The Scriptures tell us in Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” If there is no plan or purpose when getting things done, then there will be frustration and failure. But a plan kept and followed will make one happy. Knowing (ascertaining) about goal-setting is good, but preparations (arrangement) should be made to achieve (attain) it. Since Goal-setting is a set activity, there must be an arrangement for it. It needs to be searched out, sincerely organized, success oriented and softly obeyed.

“Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business” (Acts 6:3). In this passage, we could see the plan or arrangement the Apostles made to search out men, sincerely organized them (no hidden agenda), and focused on success by their criteria. They also planned to appoint such over the work (immediate objective). With this, their primary aim – prayer, and the ministry of the word; will not be disturbed.

Before one can set desired goals, the following arrangements need to be made: 1. Be sure to get good knowledge about the goals and how to set them. 2. Think deeply about the knowledge got, the resources available to you, your ability and how it will both affect your present and future dreams (Proverbs 13:16). 3. Get godly counsels to help you in setting such goals (Proverbs 15:22). 4. Be sure to follow through diligently and patiently; not in haste but work with time. Try not to rush over goal setting because it will lead to failure at last (Proverbs 21:5). 5. God should be included in our goal setting with all submission and reverence (James 4:15). 6. You will need to write down a list of ideas, plans and possible suggestions which will form the basis for a well-written objective and corresponding action plan.

We shouldn’t set goals that can destroy our spiritual or physical wellbeing.

3. GOAL-SETTING ATTAINMENT.

Philippians 3:13-16

Setting goals is one thing, attaining them is another. To attain set goals there must be corresponding action. A corresponding action is something that must be done in line with the well-written goals and objectives.

As said earlier, goal-setting is like an activity. Invariably, there should be activities that need to be performed to carry out set goals. When establishing a plan of action with respect to goal-setting, the following suggestions can be helpful:

• With the Major goal in mind and the various well-written objectives to support it, make a list of the activities that need to be performed to attain it.

• Seek godly counsels while making the list of activities that will help you attain the set goal.

• Select the activities that are most reasonable and write them down in a way that is well understood by you.

• You will now need to test each activity in line with the objective and the time (time of commencement and duration) set.

• Review the list of activities, and then choose the ones that suit you most. It must correspond with your ability, resources, time and major goal.

• Plan the actual activities to be undertaken to complete the action.

• Write them down. Try not to be rigid but be discipline. As one progresses, there will be need to change some activities, time and resources to meet the major goal.

• You may want to also score yourself on what you’ve done. Give yourself a gift or deny yourself of something for not successfully attaining an objective. That is part of motivation.

Once a goal and corresponding actions are set, they need to be monitored and progress needs to be evaluated on a regular basis so that changes can be made when appropriate. “Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing” (Philippians 3:16).

One of the cases is Charles McKaig, a 57 year old mail carrier. He was having chest pains. We took him to the office; put him on the tread mill, until he got his chest pain again. He was attached to an EKG. (Electrocardiogram/heart monitor), the EKG went haywire. We knew he had chest pains, but before we could stop the machine, he dropped dead.

But when he dropped dead, he had a very peculiar situation. He convulsed like most people do when they first die and the heart stops providing blood to the brain. His eyes rolled up, he turned blue, he stopped breathing. The nurse started an IV and I started an external heart massage. The strangest thing happened, when I stopped resuscitating to put in a pace maker.

When I came to, Dr. Rawlings said my hair was literally standing on end, and my eyes had already started dilating. I was absolutely scared to death, I was horrified.

My life was very normal, I partied a lot. I had joined a church at a young age, because of my parents. I really didn’t realize what church was about, or what accepting Christ was about.

Early one morning at work I had walked to the local clinic in my hometown. At that time I thought I might be having a heart attack. So then I met Dr. Rawlings. He kept me for about 3 or 4 days. And then he gave me a stress test. I remember while taking it I felt like I really wanted to get off, and that was the last thing I remember of that.

When I came to, Dr. Rawlings was giving me CPR, and he asked me what was the matter, because I was looking so scared. I told him that I had been to hell and I need help! He said to me, “keep your hell to yourself, I’m a doctor and I’m trying to save your life, you need a minister for that.” As he was giving me CPR, he was trying to install a pacemaker with the other hand. And I would fade out every so often, so then he would focus CPR again and bring me back.

I was soon floating in the air, watching what was going on, looking down. Whenever I would come back to my body, I kept asking, “Please help me, please help me, I don’t want to go back to hell.” Soon a nurse named Pam said, “He needs help, do something!” At that time, Dr. Rawlings told me to repeat this short prayer. “I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus, save my soul. Keep me alive. If I die, please keep me out of hell!”

After that, the other fading out experiences were very pleasant. I saw my stepmother, my mother. My mom passed away when I was about 5 months old. I never saw a photograph of her. My stepmother passed away about 10 years ago. I did not have any contact with them. All I could remember was that they kept their hands reached out to me.

I’ve heard it said that you couldn’t carry money with you, and when I was with my mother and stepmother, I saw they had no pockets. I know that sounds weird but I was trying to remember everything I saw.

After that, I remember walking down a lane that had colors on both sides, brilliant colors. I had a little experience in Art, but nobody, not ever Rembrandt could reproduce those colors, they were so bright. There was this light that surrounded me, I believe it was the Holy Spirit. It surrounded me and took care of me. I’ve never felt so good and so safe in my whole life.

After this was all over, I realized what really happened. It was a double conversion. Not only had this make-believe prayer converted this atheist on the floor, it had also converted this atheist doctor that was working on him. (Dr. Rawlings pointing toward himself) That is the only reason I can appear to you now, to tell you that there is a life after death. And it is NOT all good.

Most of you can tell the difference between simple fading, clinical death and biologic death. Take the case of Charles McKaig. He was on the treadmill and I could tell that he was in clinical death. He had a startled question on his face, he was about to ask the question and was looking dumbfounded at me. As he was walking on the treadmill I noticed that his heart had stopped and his breathing has stopped. He was still walking and talking for a minute or two before the lack of blood to the brain caused him to drop dead. He was dead and didn’t even know it. I should have told him.

Soon we started clinical death treatment, CPR. We started the heart up again, we started the breathing again and he came back. This was clearly clinical death. Now biologic death would have occurred if 4-6 minutes time had passed after clinical death. Because of the lack of oxygen to the brain, the brain cells die; they are the most sensitive cells in the body. Then rigor mortis sets in and the person becomes stiff as a board. And now we need resurrection, only God can do resurrection. We can only do resuscitation. Something we are permitted to do.

Sid: Hello Sid Roth here, welcome to my world where it's naturally supernatural,
My guest, Steven Brooks, had a visitation from an angel and he was told about an ancient form of victory that few people really understand and grasp. Do you need some victory in your life? Of course you do, welcome to the human race, Steven, when you were a young man, you literally heard the audible voice of God, tell me about that.

Steven: I did Sid, and that was about 18 years ago, when those type of experiences
first began to take place in my life. But I was down in Mississippi at my grandmothers house, and she was a very Godly woman. At that time of the day, nobody was at the house. My family, my brothers plus my grandmother, they had all gone somewhere else,
up the hill to do something. And I was spending time in one of the rooms of the house,
alone, just reading my Bible, and after a while, I just laid out on the floor and was praying,
and kind of reading the Bible, and I heard a voice speak to me, it sounded like a male voice, it was audible, and it said "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."

Sid: Did you know that that was in the Bible at the time?

Steven: Not at that time, I didn't, about two weeks later, when I was reading through the book of James, I found it of course, that's James chapter 4, verse 8. But those type of experiences began to propel and push me, to desire to want to have a deeper walk with God.

Sid: But what did you do with this information?

Steven: I started running with it, I didn't understand really how to draw near to God,
but I began to take the steps, the basics, began to study the Bible, read the Bible more,
began to pray, began to wait on the Lord, and by growth and grace, began to make some spiritual progress.

Sid: Then years later, you were on extended fast, and you had quite a visitation, tell me about it.

Steven: This was in the year of 2000 Sid, when I was doing a forty day fast, with just water, and some juice, maybe some thin apple juice, some things along that line, just to give me some energy. But I was on this fast, and on the tenth day, when I was in the office alone, the Lord came into the office. He didn't come in the form of a person.
It appeared as a ball of light that came out from the ceiling and hovered in the corner of the room. And out of that light, out of that ball of glory, the Lord spoke to me. And he said,
"Take a pen and a note pad, and write one through seven." Well I grabbed a pen and note pad as fast as I could, and I wrote one through seven, and he said "write these down, these seven waves of blessing will come upon your life." And after I had written them all down, I looked at them, and it was a blueprint, for the plan, that God has for my life, for my personal life, and also for my ministry.

Sid: Now why did God show you this? I'm just curious, because he hasn't given me a sheet
of paper, and said "these are the seven things.." has he given you a sheet of paper? I wish he had, you're provoking me to jealousy Steven.

Steven: He did that to help me, because I was really wanting to know God's will, and God's plan for my life, not just to try plan A or try plan B, but I really wanted to go for the gold standard. Lord what is it you want me to accomplish in my life? I want to focus on that and really aim and go for that, so when he gave me that blueprint, those are things I can look and it's a faith project, but I can see that the Lord wants to fulfill these things,
and they're coming to pass.

Sid: Now you live in a very unusual place, in North Carolina, its called Gravian Falls,
and I hear so many reports of angels around there, tell me about the area.

Steven: It is a land of angels, it's a tremendously anointed place. I live on a mountain
that's known for angelic type experiences that people have. But that whole area's saturated, I'm not exactly sure why, I think a lot of it has to do with all the prayer
that the Moravian missionaries just imparted into that area, But it's also of people that just love the Lord, and love the deeper things of the Lord, of moving into the Apostolic, the Prophetic, and just love the Lord completely. So it just creates that kind of an atmosphere.

Sid: Okay, tell me, I mean I am fascinated on angels, that's why I love your book, called Working With Angels. But tell me about the time, was it five angels were in a circle, around you?

Steven: That was one of those experiences, you know we cant make these things happen, I wish they could happen more often, but there are times when the Lord has granted me supernatural encounters, either with the Lord, or with angels. And the time that happened was when I woke up, at three o' clock in the morning, and there was a sense, just like David heard that rustling in the mulberry tree, sometimes you know something is about to happen. And I woke up at 3 am in the morning, I saw the clock,
and I knew something was about to happen, in the realm of the spirit, some type of visitation. But you know, honestly Sid, I was tired, It's still three in the morning ,
and we still live in a physical body, and I was tired. So after staying up and praying for about 15 minutes, I just laid down, for a little bit, leaned back on the bed. But at 3:30, I sat straight up, I was totally awake. I saw the clock, it said 3:30, I looked in straight in front of me, and there, at the foot of the bed, in a semi circle, were 5 angels standing there, and they were all looking at me smiling.

Sid: How did they look?

Steven: They looked glorious. They looked as if they had no imperfections at all, just beautiful creatures. They all smiled at me, and said "we are the 5 angels of revival."
Now when they said that, I understood, they're not the only angels of revival. But these were 5 angels, who had stood with 5 men during previous revivals in church history.
And at that time, also 1 revival, that was continuing at that time, at that present time, in the church.

Sid: You told me, and this was kind of mind blowing, that the one at that time that was continuing, this move of Gods spirit, the angel looked like the man, because you knew who he was.

Steven: He did, this angel looked about 85%, like the man, that he stands with and assists in the ministry. I understand now, why when Peter was in jail, and he escapes through miraculous, angelic deliverance, he comes to that house church meeting, that home prayer group meeting, knocks on the door, and Rhoda answers, and goes back and tells them, "Peter's here" and they said "No, it must be his angel." Because they can take on similarities just like the person they're assigned to.

Sid: But who was that man?

Steven: that was Lindell Cooley's angel. I've never met Lindell Cooley, but that was his angel, He was one of those 5 angels.

Sid: So, what Steven is saying, is that if you, and you have an angel, if you learn
how to cooperate with this angel, then you're going to see the manifestations such as, revival. Is that what you're really trying to accomplish with this book?

Steven: That is, it's just that the book inspires people to want to get closer with God.
And what happens when there's that drawing near, then all the other things like the angelic type things can happen, just all the icing the cake, and you know one of the things, well actually, the angels, they came to talk with me, about.

Sid: I protest, unfair, my guest, Steven Brooks, wakes up one evening, and not, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 angels are in a circle around him! How come you get 5? What is the deal?
I'm Jewish, can't I get something extra?

Steven: Well 5 represents grace, so perhaps there was that element of grace, not that I deserve it, but they were certainly there.

Sid: And the thing that amazes me, you called them, they were angels that were behind men or women.

Steven: Ministered with men, ministered in those revivals.

Sid: Why were they there? What was there purpose?

Steven: Well they came to talk to me, they said" we want to talk with you about the spirit of Holiness." And for 30 minutes, they did most of the talking, I was allowed to ask a few questions, but for 30 minutes, they told me how important it is to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord with Holiness. That an individual has a responsibility to do there part.

Sid: Is Holiness the way you dress? Is Holiness, an external thing? What were they telling you?

Steven: Sure, that is a good question, because when they talked with me, there wasn't a trace of what we would call legalism, or you can't do this or you can't do that. Because in our heart we know the Holy Spirit will lead us to do things, that are pleasing to the Lord.
But there is an element of doing things, there are certain things that you don't want to put into your ears. There are certain things that you don't want your eyes to see.
You want to maintain purity as much as possible, because that also will attract the angels.
An impure thought life, the angels pick up on that, In the spirit realm, they are able to see,
what we are emanating, what's radiating out of us.

Sid: I have to ask you a question. What happens if someone watches TV, that is very violent, are we talking about something like that, or are we talking about something much deeper?

Steven: Yes, No those types of things bring a type of spiritual defilement, and the person may think, that doesn't affect me, but in the spirit realm, those things are very easily distinguished. Angels can tell what a person is emanating, If you're emanating the love of God, and that purity, they want to be around you. But if a person puts all kinds of garbage and filth inside of there mind, and inside of there thinking, evil spirits are able to tell
what a person is emanating and they will be attracted to that. Impure thoughts, they will gather around that. Thoughts of self-centeredness, depression, that draws them. So there's ways that we need to live, that are holy and pleasing to the Lord, to please the Lord, and to create and atmosphere that's conducive to the Holy Spirit.

Sid: What else did they do or tell you?

Steven: It was interesting, I was looking at one of the angels, and, I don't know the man
that he stood with and served during the revival, that he ministered in, but that angel appeared to me to be one of the most humble beings I have ever seen in my life, so I knew the man that he stood with, must have been extremely humble. So I asked that angel, I said "what was it like to have been in a full blown move of God's Spirit during the revival that you ministered in?" And he said "Really, we didn't have much to do with it,
we gave all the glory to God, he carried the whole thing." And that angel just deflected everything, right back on the Lord, and I knew that the man that he helped stand with in ministry must have been an extremely humble man. It kind of reminds me of what it said about Moses, in the book of Numbers, that he was the most humble man on the face of the earth. So there's somebody today that actually is the most humble person on the face of the earth. So there are categories that God ranks, there are things that we can move into, there's a race that's going on, to be closest to the Lord, to be humble.

Sid: Now man looks at someone on television someone that has a meeting with 10,000, 100,000 people in attendance, but I think God's measurement is different then man's.
Steven: It can be completely different, the way the Lord measures success. It's really being obedient to the Lord and doing what he told you to do, whatever that might be, that's where the reward is at, that's where the anointing is at.

Sid: Oh, you've got to tell me, you've experienced, what revival was like. Tell me that.
Steven: Right at the end, before they left, they asked me a question, they said
"would you like to experience what it is like to be under that power of the Holy Spirit
in a full blown move of Gods spirit, a Holy Ghost revival" is what they called it, they actually used what we would consider an old fashioned term. I said "yes!" I said "absolutely!" You know, It wasn't time to go back to bed, But Sid, when I did that, each one of those angels, reached out with his right hand and extended his index finger, and they touched me with the very tip of their finger, very gently, and I fell out for 2 hours.

Sid: What do you mean you fell out?

Steven: I was shocked. It was like I got hooked up to some kind of electric current,
it just went all through my body, I lost all strength, I fell off the bed.

Sid: did you hurt yourself?

Steven: I wasn't bruised or anything, but I was shaking, tremendous shaking for 2 hours, and you know, my mind is still working the whole time this is going on, and I'm thinking, I'm going to wake up my wife, I'm going to wake up my daughter in the next room.
because I had left the room to go into a separate room to pray. But it's one of those things, you just yield to, It's the Lord doing work. In the early American history, the Shakers and Quakers, that's how they got those names, the Spirit of God just doing a shaking.

Sid: But what was God literally, and maybe you don't know, but what was God doing in you?

Steven: That's a good question, he was doing a deeper work. He was shaking more of Steven Brooks out, so there could be more of God to fill me up. It's just a deeper surrender to the Lord, it's a deeper letting go, it's a deeper saying "I'll do anything and I
really mean it, as much as I can possible and sincerely express that." That's what it is,
just making more room for him.

Sid: Now did these angels tell you, what's coming next as far as revival, or no?

Steven: That's one of the things, on that 40 day fast, The Lord talked with me also, on that 10th day, when he came to me, those angels, particularly at that time, those 5 angels, they didn't speak to me. But the Lord did talk to me, about the next coming healing revival, which is going to be an awesome move of God's Spirit. It's already beginning slightly to break upon the church, So I'm one of the people, I'm not really waiting until it breaks to start moving in it, I've already been praying and God's been doing incredible miracles with me.

Sid: Listen, you told me some of the miracles, that are going to happen in the next move of God's Spirit, and Steven Brooks is beginning to have a foretaste of this. Don't go away,

Sid: Hello Sid Roth here, with Steven Brooks, and Steven had a visitation from Jesus.
Jesus described to him the next, the greatest, move of the God's Spirit in history for healing and miracles that's about ready to happen. Steven, what did He tell you?

Steven: Well, the interesting thing, Sid, is that the Lord said"I want to talk with you about the coming healing revival," and I was very interested in that. And so, He began to share some things with me, and one of the things I want to share is that it's America's turn.

Sid: I hear so much bad stuff about America, it's good to hear some good about America.
Steven: Well praise the Lord, there's some great things coming. The Lord has provoked the American church to jealousy. We've heard about the great miracles, even the creative miracles, in South America, in Africa, and different parts of the world, but we've only seen little tidbits of that here in America. But that is coming to America. These great creative miracles are coming to America, and a healing revival is going to hit a level that will surpass anything that's ever happened in church history. It's going to be very powerful.

Sid: Give me some specifics He told you of the types of healings.

Steven: The Lord gave me several specific examples. He said one thing that will happen in these meetings, they'll run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He said they'll run around the clock. It'll just be a total outpouring of His Spirit. He said one thing that'll take place is that
people that have suffered sever burns, even third degree burns which can even be fatal,
they'll be brought into the meeting and laid out in the meeting, He said they'll be completely healed and receive brand new skin.

Sid: I can picture this going on in Israel with all the terrorism that goes on there,
and I can picture people that know God - not religion, not tradition - but know God,
going into the hospitals and the burn units. Can you picture that, Steven?

Steven: Absolutely, it happened to Naaman, the Syrian army general. He received brand new skin. It's said his skin was like that of a young child. And so, we're going to see these types of creative miracles that won't boggle our faith, but it will boggle the imagination of many people.

Sid: What did He tell you about brain damage?

Steven: He told me even children that have Down's syndrome, or people that have suffered mental retardation, they'll come into the meetings. The Lord told me this,
He said they will sit under that glory and sit in that glory that will be in those meetings, and He said in two weeks they'll be completely healed; their mind will be completely restored to them.

Sid: You've had a foretaste of this. Tell me about the person you prayed for.

Steven: I've prayed for several people the Lord has touched, children that have suffered Down's syndrome, and the Lord just caused their mind to snap, and it affected their physical bodies. Their mothers told me that a miracle has taken place and their children have been healed. And so we're already touching on this, pushing into these realms that the Lord just wants to explode upon the American church.

Sid: Now you have a deal with keys, and God used lost keys to tell you of an ancient form
of victory that most people are clueless about. Explain.

Steven: I had two experiences take place in my life that for a couple of years were very perplexing, very puzzling, in that I twice lost my set of keys. I never lose keys, but one time, before the Lord put me in full time ministry, years back I was in the plumbing field, I lost my keys. And I found them in a most unusual way that I talk about in the book on working with angels. Several years went by; actually, quite a few years went by,
but I was in Arabian Falls helping a friend with a project, and I lost my keys again, and found them in a most unusual way that I talk about in the book. Well, I went to do a meeting, a revival meeting, up in northern Virginia. I was there for five days. On the last day of that meeting, I was in the hotel room alone. I had one more meeting to do that night. I was praying in the afternoon, getting ready for that night service. My wife and daughter had gone into town to do a few things, I had the hotel room all to myself.
I was praying and waiting on the Lord, when suddenly somebody came into the room.
The whole atmosphere of the room changed, and he told me - it was a male voice -
and this being spoke to me, and said"That's why you were allowed to have found lost keys, because praise is the lost key to victory."

Sid: Tell me about that woman with the broken bones that praised to victory.

Steven: That was a great miracle that happened in one of our conferences we hosted recently. This lady flew all the way out from California. She believed that if she got to the meeting, God would do a miracle in her foot. Her foot had five broken bones that the doctor had examined, had X-rayed, and showed the bones. And she came out to this meeting and believed that God would do a miracle in her foot. She came on her crutches and everything, but she brought a pair of tennis shoes to wear back. She came in faith. She knew God was going to do it. I prayed for her that afternoon, on the last day of the meeting. This was late in the afternoon, that night we had one more session. And on that last praise and worship song of that meeting, guess who came dancing down the aisle in front of hundreds of people with a brand new healed foot? You know, when she went back to the doctor, he reexamined her foot in California and said "Now that we've reexamined your foot, you actually broke seven bones." And he held up the X-ray to her and said"I've never seen such phenomenal new bone growth development." And on the X-ray it shows white streaks that just shot out where the new bones just instantly grew back out. She was completely healed.

Sid: And you know what just blows me away is one day Steven was praying, and all of a sudden he felt as if someone was in the back seat of his car. He was there alone, just praying. Did you feel like the car going down a little bit?

Steven: When I went into this experience, I actually felt the weight of the car go down,
and I know that somebody had come and sat in the back seat of the car. And I said "Lord,
somebody just came and sat in the back seat of the car." He said "Yes they did. Two angels have come." I said "What are they here for?" He said "They are here to help you
in your times of prayer and fasting." I said "What are their names?" He said "Their names are Joash and Josiah." And when I heard this voice, the Lord speaking to me, I turned around and looked in the back seat of the car, and sitting there were two angels,
the most beautiful beings I'd ever seen in my life.

Sid: Steven, you're provoking everyone to jealousy. I believe as Steven prays for you,
you will be more sensitive to the spirit realm than you ever have before. Steven, would you pray?

Steven: Father God, I pray for those that are watching this program today all around the world. Father, I thank You that You've given Your angels to assist and aid and help Your people. They are ministers of salvation. Now Father, I pray for a greater angelic awareness of the spirit realm and of the angels than ever before for Your people.
I pray for a heightened sense of awareness and alertness Father, and I thank You
for increased angelic activity and breakthroughs and deliverance in the lives of Your people. Father, in Jesus name, amen.

Sid: Do you remember that Steven heard an audible voice?"If you will draw close to Me, I will draw close to you." That's been the whole purpose that God orchestrated that you watch this show, so that you will take a baby step towards God.

BEFORE DEFORMATION IS MISINFORMATION (A VERY SHORT STORY)

There was once a leader in a church who found it difficult to cry out for help especially when it refers to food due to shyness. A day came that he prayed hard that he should get fed free of charge at a particular general meeting in their church. He worked hard for the Lord and made sure all what’s to be done was done.

Now been tired, he looked up and asked God where the meal was to come from. Not too long, a member of the team who knew him well asked him to join them in the usually separate planning that is held after such meetings. Due to his tiredness and search for food he declined. Rather, he sought for food from a colleague stylishly, yet couldn’t get. He was promised another opportunity which also stymied. In frustration he had to put on a false smile and walked away briskly, spending the whole afternoon and evening in hunger. When he couldn’t bear it anymore he borrowed to sustain himself for that night. He was actually in a tight corner that weekend.

Several months passed and another encounter came. But kudos to him that he didn’t blame God for not providing for him the previous time. With joy he still did the work, was patient this time and did all he needed to do because he had some money on him. But God had not forgotten his good work.

He became so tired that he went out with some friends to eat, but the food was not available. He then went out to a restaurant with these same friends to buy food. After the meal, his was paid for. With thanks he rejoiced for the free meal.

Another call was made to get something done and he happily went. On arriving, he was informed that he should have gone for a free meal at the venue of the meeting. “Which free meal”, he asked. “Every time such a gathering is held, you are one of those entitled to a free meal”, the general leader remarked. “But nobody informed me”, he snapped. “Are you not one of those to plan after the general meeting?”, he was asked. “Oh, I see, that was where my impatience caused my misinformation”, he concluded.

For quite a long time he had never known that he had this entitlement until he dared to pray. He had been missing his right, but after prayers God had mercy and he was properly informed. He can now walk majestically to the venue of meals and order for whatsoever he wants – free of charge.

So if you see a deformed man (in thoughts or mind), he probably has been without information. To get the anointing you need, the Blessed Information Bringing Life Eternal (BIBLE) must be EATEN.

A DIVINE REVELATION OF HEAVEN

Introduction
This book is an account of a number of true experiences I have had with God. It is not the work of an overactive imagination or the pipe dream of someone who hopes for something better than this life has to offer.
Heaven is a reality, and the experiences I describe in this book are told just as they happened to me. I did not see everything there is to see in heaven-it will take eternity to do that. I do not relate everything I saw in heaven; even Paul did not do that. (See 2 Corinthians 12:1-4.) But I am relating all that God has told me to share.
I want to give special honor and thanks to my pastor, the Reverend Dr. T. L. Lowery, and to his beautiful wife, Mildred, for their support, encouragement, and valuable contributions in this endeavor. Throughout the Scriptures we are taught the infinite frailty and weakness of men; and even the best of men are set forth as having no strength of their own. Abraham said he was “but dust and ashes”; Isaiah said, “We all do fade as a leaf”; Job said, “I abhor myself”; Paul said, “I am less than the least of all saints”; and Jesus said, “Without Me ye can do nothing.”
All strength must be imparted to the soul from God. There are some few characters in the Bible against whom no blemish is mentioned; but in those characters it is recorded that all their goodness was imparted. They claim nothing of and from themselves.

It is possible that in six thousand years there have lived a few persons whose hearts never consciously wandered from God. Doubtless there are many who have had many wanderings, without the humility or the fullness of light to perceive or confess it. And the millions of God’s children have been painfully conscious of shortcomings – backslidings of greater or less extent.
Living as we are, in the state of probation, there is no degree of grace which may not be lost, and this is consistent with the doctrine so clearly taught in many Scriptures, that a saint may feel assured of his salvation. In the passage of Corinthians which says, “Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall,” the original tells us, “Let him that assuredly standeth take heed”; that is, let the most advanced believer, who has the fullest assurance of faith, take heed lest he fall. “Watch YE therefore, and pray ALWAYS.” Luke 21:36.

PRESS TOWARD THE MARK
Philippians 3:14

Heart wanderings from God are almost imperceptible at first. There are slow degrees of the leakage of grace, almost imperceptible inroads of temptation. The devil insinuates himself in such soft, silent ways, and through unguarded avenues, and in such an assumed celestial raiment – that before the soul is aware, he has well-nigh captured the magazines of the heart.
A little spiritual laziness, and little tonings down of self-sacrifice, are like the coming of gray hairs. The Bible speaks of a certain one who had gray hairs here and there and knew it not. (Hosea 7:9). The loss of property and of health have the same imperceptible beginning as backsliding from God.

FORBIDDEN AND UNLAWFUL

Wanderings from God often begin by looking on forbidden objects. The eye is allowed to rest too long upon an object of temptation. Through the eye the thoughts take hold upon the object. This kindles exaggerated and unlawful desires. This undermines the will, and the outcome is sin in greater or less degree. Such was the case of Eve, who stood looking on the forbidden fruit, when God told her not to touch it. This was the case of David, who was gazing from the top of the palace.
This is the art that Satan tried on Jesus, when he spread before His mental vision all the kingdoms of the earth, and all their glory in one dazzling panorama of worldwide sovereignty and splendour; but Jesus instantly turned His mental eye from the beautiful vision, and fixed it on His coming cross.
This is the best cure for all fascinating and tempting visions – to get in the mind the precious blood of Jesus. The sight of Christ crucified is the panacea for unholy mental pictures.

ACCEPTING UNLAWFUL DELIVERANCE
Another cause of heart wanderings is self-management, and attempting to take our affairs in our own hands; trying to help the Lord in His providences of our case in time of trouble and distress. We must be led through many a soul crisis.
These crises will come on us in social life, in business, in church relations, in health, in lines of duty. Many of them cannot be avoided. They are in the very nature of things in this world, and when they come, our human spirits are so eager for the speedy and premature result they sometimes accept of an unlawful deliverance; and we are so tempted to think that God has forgotten us, or that He is too slow, that we take affairs in our own hands.
This was the case of Rebecca and Jacob, who thought they surely must manufacture a lie and deceive Isaac with the goatskin, in order to secure the fulfilment of an infallible promise from God; but their self-management brought sad separation and years of sorrow.
This was the case with King Saul, who thought that Samuel was so long reaching his appointment that he thought he (Saul) must play the part of the priest, and offer sacrifice; and from that hour he began wandering from God.
This was the case with Uzza, who thought, when the oxen stumbled, he must surely put forth his hand and assist the Lord in caring for the ark.

SINFUL MANIPULATIONS

Officiousness has led many a soul into bondage. It is so easy for even spiritual men to get the impression that they must manage the work of God; that they are responsible in great Revivals for keeping their little fingers on the safety valves, and curbing divine fire within the limit of their prudence.
Spiritual power is lost in the attempt to manipulate spiritual power. The kingdom of God in the soul is often weakened by an attempt to manage the kingdom. Self-management, in some form or other, is the starting point of many a decline in grace.

THE PLACE OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE IN THE YOUTH MINISTRY
2 Corinthians 10:2-6; 1 Timothy 1:18, 19.

“The story of your life is the story of a long and brutal assault on your heart by the one who knows what you could be and fears it” - John Eldredge “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” (1 Timothy 6:12).
Every aspect of life has battles – the physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological etc. But in all these, the spiritual battle is the most important, most dangerous, decides destinies, determines progress, actualizes actions but can’t be seen and yet so real. People, knowingly and unknowingly, are involved in these battles – youths, adults, aged, toddlers etc. These unseen battles can be termed “spiritual warfare”. Spiritual warfare is a strong merciless fight between two spiritual kingdoms – Heaven and Hell. People have to show up or get involved in just one camp whether they like it, are prepared for it, are opposed to it or not. Because this cuts across all ages, the youth is not exempted in this fierce and furious battle. Invariably, the battle rages more severely in the youthful age. That is why the youth and youth leaders must know the position spiritual warfare occupies in their lives and ministry.
Let’s look at the place of spiritual warfare in youth ministry under three sub titles: 1. The Principles of Spiritual Warfare in the Youth Ministry 2. The Place of Spiritual Warfare in the Youth Ministry 3. The Price of Spiritual Warfare in the Youth Ministry
1. THE PRINCIPLES OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE IN THE YOUTH MINISTRY
Daniel 9:20-22.

The youth ministry in any assembly is an arm that moulds and builds young minds into what they should be especially to achieve targeted aims and objectives. Before the youth ministry can be said to attain success, there must be some set principles that guide both the leader and the led.
Firstly, there must be a clear cut salvation experience in the leaders – those handling one position or the other; and a strong passion to know more of God. This experience is supposed to be deepened everyday in Christ. A novice can’t occupy any position with success or else these spiritual unseen forces will cause a shipwreck of such an individual’s convictions. Such novices will require sincerity and training to acquire knowledge first, so that God will not forget the children they are trying to bring up. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” (Hosea 4:6).
Secondly, there should be continuous holy living to sustain oneself and others around us. Youths are people that believe more in practical than in theory. They learn faster when they see it done than when they only hear of it. In other words, the principle of holiness that is strictly adhered to by anyone in the youth circle – whether their colleagues or leaders will be creating a strong positive foundation for a victorious spiritual battle.
Thirdly, the word “DISCIPLINE” cannot be relegated to the background. Especially among youths, if there is no discipline, the enemy will strive easier and faster like a ferocious fiery serpent. The following areas require discipline: (i) What you look at. (ii) Temptation to be in the company of the opposite sex – peer pressure (iii) Restlessness in youths that leads to insubordination and laziness to duties; in school, at home and even in the church. (iv) Quick desire for freedom that leads to stubbornness, disobedience and rebellion and (v) Fashion. Even the leaders in the youth ministry should be mindful of these in their very lives.
2. THE PLACE OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE IN THE YOUTH MINISTRY
Philippians 4:6
Prayer takes the first place in any ministry; the youth ministry cannot be otherwise. Prayer has various aspects, but the aspect of warfare is paramount in the youth ministry. It should occupy the very first place for success to be attained. Why is warfare essential in the youth ministry? Where does it fit – its position? Well, it must be noted that the youth ministry as earlier stated is part of the main church that helps to build young minds for a targeted future. If the youth ministry fails, then the present church has failed and there will be no future church. This, the hordes of hell are aware of and will do anything to stop the youths and their leaders. They can hurl any type of stone at us, throw different sizes of javelin, arrows, pestilences etc., whether by day or by night without batting an eyelid. They wouldn’t mind using even respected people to carry out their mischievous plans.
Knowing all these, as real as it sounds, you and I know that we can’t afford to sleep. Spiritual warfare should take the first place in our prayer life and in the intercessory session in the church at large. These young minds, especially those ones just coming from the children church have a lot to learn, a life to live, a future to behold and a promise to keep. Satan will be the very last person to keep mute and watch these young ones attain their divine destinies.
Because of these, the youth ministry must wake up to the challenge and fight for the course of the youths, their siblings, parents, the church and the society at large. I am very much convinced that Christ who shed his blood for all will be glad we kept spiritual warfare in its appropriate place to pluck these youths from hell to heaven and to cause them to achieve their God ordained goals. In this race, you can’t get anything by folding your hands and wishing. Crying, resentment, grumbling and complaining will be an insult to the Captain of our salvation. There is only one way, “spiritual warfare” – NO WAR NO WAY. To achieve this, there must be some sacrifice, this will lead us to the last point.
3. THE PRICE OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE IN THE YOUTH MINISTRY
Daniel 6:10; Ephesians 6:16-18.
The price of spiritual warfare in the youth ministry is very high. Only those who love the ministry and are called into it can actually attain success. There is a price to pay for any spiritual warfare session.
There is the need to pray, not just the normal kind of prayer but the warfare kind of prayer. This will require denying oneself of some legitimate things like sleep, food, rest, visitation and leisure to actually challenge the forces of hell that are not relenting in their effort to swallow up the youths of this generation.
If you discover that you don’t have the love, passion and compassion for the youth ministry, the first thing to do is to leave the youth ministry right away. This is so because when insults, assaults and all forms of prejudices start appearing, such a person will do more harm than good to the youths and the ministry in general. Such a person cannot fight a good fight of faith. You may be long forgotten before you are remembered.
Also, if you think there is no need to “do battle”, then you are going to pay another type of price. The results will actually be fatal and unimaginable – a case study is the Niger Delta Menace. So pay a price to receive a prize or receive a prize to pay a price. I advise you to choose paying the price now with strong perseverance for all youths and the youth ministry at large, challenging and binding anything that will want to stand against the knowledge of God. “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:18).

EATING HABITS THAT LEAD TO ALL ROUND PROMOTION

PREAMBLE
Developing a positive eating habit is essential to all round promotion because you are a product of what you eat. Socrates said, “Bad men live that they may eat and drink, whereas, good men eat and drink that they may live.”
Eating is to sustain you and keep you healthy while you are here on earth and in the course of your lifetime. To develop a positive eating habit therefore, there is need to have a good knowledge of nutrition, what to eat, what to avoid though they are edible, when and how to eat.

HUMAN NUTRITION
This is the study of how food affects the health and survival of the human body. Human beings require food to grow, reproduce and maintain good health. Without food our body could not stay warm, build or repair tissue or even maintain a heartbeat. Eating the right food can help us avoid certain diseases or recover faster when illness occurs. Nutrients are classified as follows:
(a) Water: If the importance of a nutrient is judged by how long we can do without it, water ranks uppermost. A person can survive only 8-10 days without water whereas it takes weeks and months to die from lack of food. Our body is 65% water and it takes 3 litres averagely to replenish daily fluid loss, which can be derived from liquids preferably those without caffeine and alcohol; (both of these increase the passing out of urine thereby causing dehydration). Many foods also contain water – fruits and vegetables 80% - 95%; Meats 50%; Grains such as rice 35%.
(b) Carbohydrates: This is the key source of energy classified as starches and sugars. Common starchy foods such as whole grain breads and cereals with naturally occurring simple sugars found in fruits and vegetables are called complex carbohydrates. These are better consumed, then simple sugars which are already refined which are added to processed foods. These when eaten require little digestion and are quickly absorbed in the body triggering an unhealthy chain of events. This can eventually result in irritability and nervousness from chemicals released into the blood stream. Many processed foods contain these simple sugars hence Nutritionists call them junks and should be avoided as much as possible.
Carbohydrates also contain fibres which aid in prompt removal of wastes and toxic materials from the body. It acts like a scoring pad to cleanse and flush the digestive tract. Found in oats, beans, citrus fruits, apple, whole grains etc.
(c) Proteins: These are powerful compounds that build and repair body tissues. Animal proteins such as eggs, meat, fish, poultry are considered as complete proteins because they contain all essential amino acids (simple form of protein). Plant proteins lack one or more amino acids, however when combined, can provide all e.g. rice and beans.
(d) Fats: These build the cell membrane and help blood to clot. It can be saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. Animal fats got from eggs, meat and dairy products are high in cholesterol and are saturated while vegetable fats derived from avocadoes, olives and vegetable oils are unsaturated. High intakes of saturated fats are unhealthy, unsafe and increase the risk of heart diseases. It also contributes to obesity.
(e) Vitamins and Minerals: These are needed in very small amounts. They enhance chemical reactions necessary to maintain good health. A deficiency breaks the chemical chain and can have devastating effects. Vitamins also enhance the use of carbohydrates, protein and fats. Vitamins A, C and E function as antioxidants to check the activity of chemicals called free radicals which if unchecked make cells vulnerable to cancer causing substances. Environmental pollutants such as cigarette smokes are also free radicals. Vitamins are found in a wide variety of fruits and foods hence it is wise to eat from all these variety especially when they are in season.

TOO LITTLE OR TOO MUCH
When the body is not given enough of any one of the essential nutrients, over a period of time it becomes weak and less able to fight infection, the brain becomes sluggish and the heart is unable to pump properly, there is muscle wasting as the body withers and various complications set in. An excess diet may lead to obesity and all its attendant complications also.

Important points to remember
• Ensure a balanced and nutritious diet always
• Avoid junks as much as possible
• Eat regularly; prompt breakfast, tangible lunch and moderate supper.
• Avoid caffeine and all caffeine containing products.
• Starvation is dangerous as well as over eating/gluttony.
• Late night meals should be avoided.
• Do not choose a particular food/fruit and avoid the other, eat all variety as much as possible.
• Avoid sweets and sweetened products as much as possible.
• Irregular meals is hazardous
• Be moderate with fat intake
• Ensure daily intake of vegetable / fruits
• Alcohol drinking and smoking affect the body negatively.

Be a healthy-conscious eater, don’t live to eat but eat to stay alive and achieve greatness which is the very desire of God for your life. 3 John 2.

REWARDS OF GODLY AND RIGHTEOUS WALK

IN A POLLUTED ENVIRONMENT

HEBREWS 11:5-7; COLOSSIANS 3:24.

“And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him” (Genesis 5:24). It can be clearly seen that Enoch was rewarded by walking with God. Genesis chapter 5 can be called the “and he died” chapter. But this didn’t touch Enoch who walked with God for three hundred long years, he simply disappeared.

The book of Hebrews gave us an astonishing revelation of what Enoch did – he pleased God. This started by faith. He believed God for who He is and what He says. This is righteousness. “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness” (Romans 4:3). Without faith you can’t please God. Without righteousness and holiness you can’t see God. Therefore to please God and get His protection, promotion, provision and preservation, one needs to walk in righteousness in any environment.

This journey into heaven is actually a walk with God, not with self, friends or the world. To commence this journey therefore you need to listen to a true preacher of God’s word, read the Bible, believe it with all your heart and finally call or cry onto God for salvation, because He alone can save you from destruction. “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14).

These should lead one into a step by step and side by side movement with God – not to stay behind, stray beside or stroll before Him. Let’s consider this topic under three sub titles 1. Repentance – A Compassionate work by God. 2. Righteousness – A Compulsory walk with God. 3. Remembrance – A compensatory Will of God

1. REPENTANCE – A COMPASSIONATE WORK BY GOD

Micah 7:18&19; Acts 5:30-31

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Proverbs 28:13; Matthew 9:13). To walk with God, He has made available repentance from sin through Jesus Christ our saviour. All you need to do is acknowledge those sins, confess and forsake them, and then ask for God’s mercy and forgiveness with a determination never to go back to such sins anymore (Romans 10:9, 10). God takes pleasure in walking with man. That is the original reason for man’s creation – to give Him pleasure (Revelation 4:11). Sin gives God displeasure. This made Him to drive the fallen angels and first humans from His presence. But compassion made Him to cause restoration to humans through repentance by Christ Jesus. Talk with God to walk with Him.

2. RIGHTEOUSNESS – A COMPULSORY WALK WITH GOD

Titus 2:11-14; 1 Peter 3:12

Righteousness can be defined as a quality of being morally right and good. Walking with God can mean being morally right and good by His standards according to His word. We are to deny every form of ungodliness and live godly in this present evil world. Noah was seen as righteous in his generation because he obeyed every word of God. “And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation” (Genesis 7:1). A whole generation perished because of the greed to satisfy the flesh.

To keep the experience of your salvation in this turbulent troubled world, you need to break off from unbelieving friends, cast off unrighteousness, flee youthful lust and then focus your attention on God’s Kingdom. “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17). You are to flee every youthful lust and constantly reject peer pressure, resist negative thoughts and reprove compromise in any form – spiritually or physically. “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart” (2 Timothy 2:22).

God desires to walk with man more than we can imagine. But because His eyes are so pure that they cannot behold iniquity, He just must separate sinners from Himself. If the first man was pushed out to suffer doom then it can’t be otherwise today, for God can never drift, He is just the same. So to be part of the new kingdom undergoing preparation for the redeemed, you need to seek righteousness at all cost. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear” (Matthew 13:43).

3. REMEMBRANCE – A COMPENSATORY WILL OF GOD

Jeremiah 2:1-3; Malachi 3:16

If one can bring back the picture of something or thought of an individual to memory, then it is certain an action must follow – whether positive or negative. Sometimes it could lead to physical actions. This in its fullest is remembrance.

God can neither forget nor remember. But according to scriptures, when God forgets one’s children, then such are doomed for destruction. When God remembers anyone, then such a person is redeemed to walk with God and receives His blessings. Sometimes God can either “forget” or “remember” one’s iniquity as the case may be. In a nutshell, there is a reward or consequence for remembering or forgetting. The thief at the cross believed in Jesus and requested to be remembered and was granted immediate access into the coming kingdom. “And he said unto Jesus, Lord; remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:42-43).

A song writer wrote:

When you count up those who forward press,

Count me, count me;

Who shall gain the crown of righteousness,

Count me, count me.

There is a crown of righteousness for all pilgrims to heaven. When God counts you then he has remembered you.

When God remembers a stripling, such a youth must locate the throne. In 1 Samuel 17:55-56, Saul had forgotten who David was despite the benefits he had derived from him earlier. But because David walked with God, and God remembered him, it became difficult for people to forget him. Even Abner who had also forgotten him was forced to look for who David was. When God remembers a boy, girl, man or woman, that person is remembered indeed, no matter who forgets him or her. This certainly brings a reward here, on earth and finally in heaven at last.
