National Irish Bank to stop handling cash

One of the country's larger banks has told to its customers that it is to stop handling cash in its branches.National Irish Bank says it is moving to a Scandinavian model of "cashless banking" - with an increased reliance on ATMs and debit cards.

NIB has told customers that its branches will no longer handle cash withdrawals or lodgements, nightsafe lodgements or foreign exchange cash.

The bank says the idea of "cashless banking" will be rolled out over the next 18 months, and that the model is that used by its Danish parent company.

D.C. Mayor Signs Gay Marriage Bill

A bill legalizing gay marriage in the nation's capital was signed by the mayor Friday but won't go into effect until it clears one more hurdle.

Though the bill was signed by Washington Mayor Adrian M. Fenty in a public ceremony following an 11-2 vote by the city’s council just days earlier, it must past a 30-day period of Congressional review to become law.

Though the legislation includes a provision stating that a religious society or organization is not required to provide services, accommodations, facilities or goods for the purpose of the solemnization or celebration of same-sex marriage, some D.C. churches are not satisfied with it.

Despite protests and calls for changes to the legislation, the bill is expected to pass Congress without a scratch and its supporters say gay couples may be able to wed in the district as early as March.

In this case, and right on cue you will notice, the preplanned solution for the scripted Copenhagen-confusion will now be proposed to the nations of the world - "a new global body dedicated to environmental stewardship". Wow, what a surprise.

As it turns out then, Copenhagen has actually been a resounding success. The "global community" now clearly understands just how desperate is the need to fix the 'broken' international infrastructure, because, as Gordon Brown says, "never again" can this 'chaos' be allowed to happen, "never again" can a "global deal" be missed as we are supposed to believe happened here. Forget about fictitous standards for 'carbon emissions' in 2020 or 2050, this must be done now, and it must take the form of unaccountable global authorities.

Mexico City Assembly Legalizes Same-Sex

Mexico City (AP) - Mexico City lawmakers on Monday made the city the first in Latin America to legalize same-sex marriage, a change that will give homosexual couples more rights, including allowing them to adopt children.

Leftist Mayor Marcelo Ebrard of the Democratic Revolution Party was widely expected to sign the measure into law.

The conservative Nation Action Party of President Felipe Calderon has vowed to challenge the gay marriage law in the courts. From Monday, people registering a domain name in China would have to present a company seal and a business licence, the China Internet Network Information Center, a government-backed body, said in a statement.

Service providers said they had started to review their clients for potentially fraudulent or "harmful" individually-owned sites.

"We have started to review domain names registered by individuals, as requested by CNNIC," said an official at HiNet, one of China's largest internet service providers.

Officials said the measure was part of a campaign to rein in pornographic content, but bloggers and internet activists interpreted it as a broader attempt to enforce internet censorship more heavily. "If they really enforce this, we will have to register our sites outside China," said one blogger.

Obama Statue Slammed by Facebook Critics

JAKARTA, Indonesia -- A statue of President Barack Obama as a boy erected in a Jakarta park has been targeted in a Facebook campaign by thousands who say it should be removed.

The Facebook group named "Take Down the Barack Obama Statue in Taman Menteng Park" had attracted more than 10,000 members by Tuesday since the 43-inch statue of 10-year-old Obama dressed in shorts and a T-shirt was unveiled in the downtown park on Thursday last week.

Heru Nugroho, the group's creator, said he would use the support on the popular social networking Web site to demand that Jakarta Gov. Fauzi Bowo remove the statue.

"Everybody knows that Obama is a world leader, but he is not our national hero who deserves to be awarded a statue," Nugroho said.

Murni ruled out moving the statue, saying that it has been erected the correct approvals and without political motive.

Pay Czar [so-called] Caps Cash Salaries at $500,000 for Bailed-Out Automakers, Banks

The Obama administration's pay czar is limiting the cash compensation for executives at companies that received the largest taxpayer bailouts to $500,000.

The 25th through the 100th top earners at Citigroup, GMAC, American International Group and General Motors also must take more than half their compensation in stock, and at least half must be delayed for three or more years, said Kenneth Feinberg, the Treasury Department's Special Master for Executive Compensation.

The new rules will only apply to the second half of December, and will not affect what the employees already have been paid this year.

The rules will affect many workers' year-end bonuses and stock grants, Feinberg said. They also will serve as a starting point for negotiations next year over pay packages for 2010.

Canadian troops heading for California

[Canadian] Troops at CFB Petawawa are doing a little California dreamin' these days as they prepare for Exercise Maple Guardian.

The exercise, which will involve about 3,700 troops, will begin in early January at Fort Irwin California in the Mojave Desert.

According to the military, the dessert environment around at Fort Irwin is similar to Afghanistan.

The exercise is expected to last about seven weeks during the months of January and February 2010. Currently it is scheduled for Jan. 4 to Feb. 20. The troops will then return to Petawawa in late February for leave and other additional training prior to the deployment to Afghanistan.

According to an obscure report in the European Union Times (EUTimes.net), "Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that US President Barack Obama has issued an order to his Northern Command's (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to 'begin immediately' increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter.

"According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks 'numerous' meetings with his war council abut how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nation's banking system..."

Many of us would be inclined to pooh-pooh such a story, but then there is this column from Bloomberg.com entitled "Arming Goldman With Pistols Against Public," written by Alice Schroeder. According to Ms Schroeder:

"'I just wrote my first reference for a gun permit,' said a friend, who told me of swearing to the good character of a Goldman Sachs Group Inc. banker who applied to the local police for a permit to buy a pistol. The banker had told this friend of mine that senior Goldman people have loaded up on firearms and are now equipped to defend themselves if there is a populist uprising against the bank."

So, do Wall Street and Russian analysts know something that we don't know? Is this why George W. Bush initiated USNORTHCOM to begin with? Is this why Barack Obama is beefing up USNORTHCOM? This would help explain the reports of all those potential detention camps that have been constructed (including the abandoned military installations that have refurbished security fences, guard towers, etc., around them). Has the American people's disgust with these crooks and thieves within the federal government and Wall Street reached a boiling point?

I feel very comfortable in saying that the usurpations of power, the encroachments upon liberty, and the arrogant tax-and-spend policies emanating from Washington, D.C., and Wall Street these days are far more egregious than what George Washington and the boys were enduring in 1775-76 at the hands of the British Crown. There is no doubt in my mind that if Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, and Sam Adams were alive today, they would have given cause for the Goldman Sachs banksters to retreat to their bunkers years ago!

The fact is, we do need a revolution! But not a revolution of anarchy and pitchforks. (The history of France should be ample evidence of the futility of this strategy.) We need a revolution of the individual states: to reclaim their sovereignty and fight for the liberties of their sovereigns (We the People). That is exactly what our forefathers did in '76.

Now parents face criminal checks just to enter their children's school

Parents have been banned from setting foot in their children's classrooms without first having a Criminal Records Bureau check.

Stern new signs at a college in Cambridgewarn that mothers and fathers cannot enter the premises if they have not been fully vetted.

As a result they face paying £86 each - £36 for an enhanced CRB check plus a fee of up to £50 to process the application.

It is the latest CRB controversy following bans on unchecked parents walking children to a carol concert and supervising at a play park.

Maryland first responders can now give flu shots

Gov. Martin O'Malley issued an emergency order Friday to help speed immunizations once more swine flu vaccine is available in Maryland.

The order allows paramedics, emergency medical technicians and cardiac rescue personnel to give shots to the general public. Before, they could give them only to each other under some circumstances.

Friday's order also gives Maryland's secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene, John M. Colmers, the power to add "additional categories of health care providers" to the list of those who can vaccinate. He could, for instance, allow pharmacists to vaccinate teenagers. Existing rules limit them to adults, said spokesman David Paulson.

Closed Chrysler dealers to drive Obama's eligibility wnd

Two lawyers have joined forces to assemble a case challenging in U.S. bankruptcy court the federal government's use of Troubled Asset Relief Program funds to bail out Chrysler and in doing so may have created a scenario that finally will bring to a head the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility to be president.

Their new case questions the authority by which the federal government and administration officials intervened in the auto industry, specifically allocating some $8 billion-plus to Chrysler, which later was forgiven.

So, along with a bankruptcy court challenge, a "quo warranto" case is being filed in Washington, D.C., demanding to know by what authority administration officials set up the financial arrangements with Chrysler and handed out taxpayer money.

As part of the demand for information about the authority used, Donofrio confirmed, there will be questions about Obama's eligibility to be president. Donofrio contends that since by Obama's own admission his father never was a U.S. citizen, Obama was born a dual citizen. The framers of the Constitution, he argues, did not consider a dual citizen to be a "natural born citizen" as required for the presidency.

If the president cannot document his eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, his presidential task force had no authority to act at all, the case contends.

"Our clients are not in this action as 'birthers,'" he said, citing a term used for people who question Obama's constitutional eligibility. "Our clients are here to seek redress for wrongs.

HONOLULU -- Mayor Mufi Hannemann on Monday sent City Council members a proposal to rename Aina Moana Beach Park, also known as Magic Island, President Barack Obama Beach Park.

Allowing an uregulated armed force to patrol high rise ghettos, blighted by unemployment and poverty and where the residents are disadvanatged by systematic racism, is also sure to create an atrmosphere of intimidation and violence and could ignite large scale social unrest.

Shooting protestors is also permitted under the Lisbon Treaty, which came into force on December 1st, and which put Europe under a quasi dictatorship by means of the use of the manipulation of the election process.

As a result of this fraudulent treaty, an EU police force is theoretically allowed to arrest anyone without even having to a reason to the local police, putting their operations outside the law.

But this is just one example how the EU is being used as front to further the agenda of an *international corporate crime syndicate.

This totalitarian EU structure allowing paramilitary groups and organised corporate funded crime to flourish must be dismantled and the people of Europe need to return to democracy and the rule of law as soon as possible.

Seeing that the 27 countries of the new EU-Superstate have had their national sovereignties stripped away, the next step in the transition to a dictatorial single entity being a shift to paramilitary policing should not really come as a big surprise. Self appointed rulers with draconian aspirations must also have a privatized system of 'law enforcement' in order to carry out their wicked agenda. The European Superstate is starting the program in the French province.

Written in 1893, this little sermonette by unknown author JWS is more apropos than ever. Here we are, 116 years later, with a list now miles long of ecumenical homosexual purpose-driven judaizing false apostle joel osteen emerging apostates who have turned 'Christianity' into an insulting parody of "the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" - Jude 3. Definitely well worth taking a few minutes for careful and prayerful study.

"Woe unto them"

Such is the doom of the false teachers of Christianity, whose character is described so plainly in 2 Peter 2, and in Jude. It is the latter who, in verse 11 of his epistle, pronounces this fearful and unqualified sentence. Mercy for them there is not. Their offence has been so flagrant and their self-will so stubborn that only "woe" is their portion, unless their eyes should be opened, and, humbled on account of their guilt and state, they turn from their evil ways with repentance towards God and faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ.

"For," says the Spirit of God, "they have gone in the way of Cain," that is the first charge against them.

They, like Cain, were not irreligious, but they approached God after a fashion of their own. They did not bring "blood"; they denied atonement by blood; they ignored the true nature of sin, and the fact of their own guilt. Their religion was one of personal merit, and based on the ground of good works - beautiful fruits of a cursed soil! Such was the way of Cain, and such was their way - the way of multitudes of teachers of modern and apostatizing Christianity. "Woe unto them." This way of Cain is popular in the pulpit of today, and highly pleasing to the self-righteous ear. God is worshipped, but not in His way; approached, but not by blood; owned, but not as the Judge of sin. Cain's way, their way, ends in woe, certain and inevitable woe!

"And ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward!"

Now, secondly, their pace increases. They went in the way of Cain, they ran after Balaam's error, and what was that? It was reward! Their religion was one of hire. They were hireling teachers. They "ran" through college and university; they spared no pains to reach the coveted prize of wealth and ecclesiastical honours. To them the cross was but a useful stepping-stone to worldly place and fame, and the cure of souls to that of ease and comfort. And thus Christianity (so-called) has become one of the most paying and profitable concerns of the day. From its unworldly and Christ-like original it has degenerated into a Babylon of golden commerce. As of old, the house of prayer has become a den of thieves. For such ecclesiastical merchants there is the one doom of "Woe unto them."

"And perished in the gainsaying of Core."

They went, they ran; now, thirdly, they perished! How graphic and how solemn! Core's gainsaying was, as we know, opposition to Moses as God's appointed servant. Core rebelled against God. He wished to occupy the place and functions that God had seen fit to accord to another. It was spiritual jealousy, pride and rebellion. It was a daring usurpation, a bold intrusion into a province from which he was debarred. God can select His own servants, and woe betide the reckless man who interferes with God's choice!

Core might have pointed out the admitted ineloquence of Moses, and dwelt upon his own fancied claims to leadership. But God had chosen Moses, and commissioned, and supported, and borne witness to him. He was God's man!

And in the matter of ministry the only qualification is the grace granted by a glorified Christ. (See Eph. 4) If that grace be wanting, no self-asserted claims, nor man-awarded credentials, nor commendation by bishop, presbytery, or aught else, is of the smallest value. You may speak with the tongue of an angel, and fill and thrill the largest place of concourse. It is all in vain. God's stammering Moses is infinitely better than the devil's mightiest Mercury. To rebel against the vessel of God's ministry is to perish in the gainsaying of Core.

The loud and solemn voice to be heard by all today is this: There are teachers of Christianity (so-called) who deny atonement by blood, who have the reward of money for their object, and who resist the true vessels of Christ, and His ministry through them. That is, they reject the divine way of approach to God, they refuse the lowly and self-denying path of Christ, and they rebel against the Spirit of God in the ministry which He may deign to appoint.

Such is the picture that Christendom presents today. How humbling, but how divinely accurate, the forecast given by the Word of God. We are forewarned and should be therefore forearmed. [J.W.S. 1893 - otherwise unknown]
