Sussex Sport Photography are pleased to continue their coverage of the Roding Valley Half Marathon Now in it's 28th year, the RVHM is a well organised and friendly race, and an excellent warm up for the London Marathon. The course starts and finishes at the Ashton playing fields and comprises one small lap of about 1 mile, followed by two longer laps of about 6 miles each. Note that although the start is on the Track, the finish is just inside the main entrance to the Ashton playing fields. Water will be provided at the drinks stations around the 3, 7 and 10 mile points. Drinks will be available at the finish. The Steyning Stinger is a cross-country hill run or walk (half or full marathon) through the South Downs between Worthing and Shoreham-by-Sea, inaugurated in 2002. It is currently planned to be repeated every year on the first Sunday in March. Hell of the North Cotswolds http://www.honc.org.uk/ The Hell of the North Cotswolds reliability trial, promoted jointly by Winchcombe CC and Cheltenham & County CC, will be held on Sunday 11th April 2010 starting from the picturesque Cotswold town of Winchcombe with a mass start of riders at 9am. This is the 26th year of the event. The first in 1984 was the brainchild of the late Pat Smith and Tim Groom who had ridden the Paris-Roubaix sportif (known as the "Hell of the North") and wanted to bring the flavour of that ride to the Cotswolds. Last year the HONC attracted over 1100 riders. The Route There will be a 100km route for the really keen riders and a 50km route for those who know how tough the off-road Cotswold hills can be! The event will use a classic route consisting of tarmac roads and bridleways including everything from technical rocky single track to rutted possibly muddy tracks and will offer a challenge to all levels of rider. Refreshments will be available at half distance.

Thanks to the Earl of Onslow, this is a chance to run a 10k around the private Clandon Park Estate, with 4k and Junior fun run going on at the same time. With beautiful scenery, a fantastic atmosphere and runs for all ages, this is the running event for the whole family. 10k cross-country run: 2k leg across Merrow Park and Merrow Common to reach the 6k loop in Clandon Park. Run across fields, along tracks, around lakes, over bridges and stiles and enjoy views across Guildford. Pass the historic Clandon Park house and see parts of the private estate not open to the public. Recommended age 16+ 4k cross-country run: Mostly off-road grass and woodland tracks across Merrow Park and around Merrow Common. Located just 2.5miles outside of Henley On Thames, the college is set in 45 acres of Oxfordshire countryside, directly looking over the river Thames. Henley is an historic market town perhaps best known for the Royal Regatta held here each year. Situated on the edge of the Chiltern Hills and the banks of the River Thames, Henley was founded in the 12th century as a river crossing and port. The fine market square, which still hosts weekly markets, is just a few minutes� walk from the riverbank as is the impressive civic church of St Mary the Virgin dating from 1204, which has many fine architectural features and still dominates the town�s skyline. The River and Rowing Museum is perhaps the most important new building in Henley and is well worth a visit. Boat trips are available along the river throughout the year and the Thames Path runs through the town. In addition to the Royal Regatta, which attracts some of the world�s finest oarsmen, Henley is also home to the Henley Festival, the Henley Food Festival and the Henley Literary Festival, which attract thousands of visitors to the town each year. This makes this event perfect for a long weekend for the family & friends.
