It was an interesting week in TV, mostly having to do with things that aren’t TV related. Jason and Joel talk about how TV viewers experienced these events, and other, more mundane TV news:

At least one of us was very happy with the result of the Super Bowl (one of us really didn’t care), and most of our conversation revolves around the game broadcast and its repercussions:

Why are we calling this podcast 0.5? Because it’s beta, and it sounds that way (let’s just say someone’s headset was causing a lot of noise). Jason Hughes and I welcome Danny Gallagher in to talk TV and whatever else comes to mind, including:

• A little (very little) about the demise of TV Squad and how much fun we had doing those old TV Squad podcasts,
• The season that just ended and the trends we saw by the end (e.g. lots of old shows wheezing through half-assed seasons),
• Some observations about the pilots the networks bought during upfront season, even if we’re not 100% sure of what the names of all of them are (but we do know Damon Wayans Jr. is in one of them… even though he’s also in Happy Endings).
