Garden in Mr. Sommers 4th hour MN History class

In Mr. Sommers 4th hour, Minnesota History class we are going to put together a garden. the garden is going to near to the flagpole and the parking lot. Also in it (the garden) we are going to plant veggies, we are not sure about what we are going to do with them, but once I knowI will tell you.

Cooking/Exercise Video For MN History 5th Hour

In Mr Sommers 5Th hour, we are going to make a cooking/exercise video to promote health. It will have scenes going back and forth between healthy, easy to cook meals, and good ways to get exercise. We plan using most every one in the class in our video, and maybe even putting it on local news. We don’t have many details right now, actually this is all we have now. So until we have more details, this will be a very short blog. So check back to see if this blog has more details.

California Conference

In the month of April, myself and three other students from Anthony Middle School went to California for a service learning experience. In California we took many courses about how people have helped other organizations. I learned a lot there, like how to get started with a service learning project, and how to get your project noticed. Right now we are working on how to get what we learned out to our school!

At our school anthony we had an amazing day called activity day!!!!! You could see movies, do outside sports and the most rated the dance! the theme was neon and we played all kinds of music! Such a blast!

Mr.Sommers 3rd, 4th, and 5th hours classes are making a beautiful mural to be put in the Anthony media center. Anthony had two artists come in and work with the classes. Right now the artist Mr.Z and Ms.M are touching up the 3 murals that are sitting in room 102. The students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th hour made and created Anthony’s own beautiful mural.

In the beginning every and the artist had to come up with a dream, this dream was made from Peace, thats where the dream was made. When we came up with the dream we needed to get an idea on what it would look like. The class drew and drew and drew pictures for it. in the end Mr.Z and Ms.M took all the drawings and put it in one big drawing, witch is now our mural. Mr.Sommers put our class into groups and every group now has got to paint. Now we are almost done, but we need to do one more thing, the very last step, and that is to put them in the media center.
