Here is a brief interview with one of the Record Journalists about the recent attack on the record, our community newspaper.

The DOS (dean of students) office was under pressure from the president of Antioch, Steven Lawry. The DOS approached the record on behalf of Steve's personal objection to our community newspaper's content. In his 6 months at Antioch he's missed many community meetings, and launched a campaign to change campus culture, a culture that many of us feel he refuses to understand.

Today was the presidential address to Antioch College. The AMP collective was able to get a few images that show the student response to the presidents speach. KEEP UP TO DATE. Evan Greer is an activist organizer and folk musician who is part of the Riot Folk collective. This video clip shows about half of a song he performed at a benefit for political prisoners in Providence RI.

"Ni Una Mas" a 7 min. short which documents the International Action on V-day 2004. Amnesty International and V-day organizers joined with thousands of activists in a procession across the El Paso border into Juarez, Mexico to bring attention to the kidnappings and murders perpetrated against hundreds of young women there. The entire community is terrorized by the femicide that has been ongoing for over 10 years.

Mandy Deven's, a senior, had begun putting together "The Circus of Fears", a circus with a wide variety of interesting, impressive and comedic acts. This is Saturday Night Vegan Cuisine. A weekly collaborative cooking project at Antioch College. We put together meals from scratch, anything w/out animal products. Building collective team skills is mostly the point...but, we get some really good food also. It started in Fall 2oo3 in the "presidents" dorm. Participation has ranged from four to thirty people...depends on the term, the circumstances, and the amount of energy put into it. Basically, just bring a vegetable and we'll provide the pots, pans, spices, and basefood (rice, potatoes, pasta).

Filmed at the March For Women's Lives 2004, "Our Bodies Our Choice" is a short documentary about why hundreds of thousands of women came together in protest. This production erupts from the frontlines of radical feminist thought, weaving together perspectives often pushed to the margins. Interviews at the march give the movie a rich substance and give a look into the diverse ideas and experiences that united against patriarchy.

This is a video that I made while trying something completely new. I wanted to make something unconventional. I wanted to do it wrong. I wanted bad handwriting, I wanted mistakes. I've struggled in the past by judging my art by "professional" standards. This video is an exercise in a completely different direction.
