This pendant lampshade comes from Swedish website Calinas. There's enough pictorial instructions to get the gist of how she made it, and the process is similar to the string pendant lamp if you'd like text directions in English.

There's a lot of intricate detail and work that goes into hand-sewing doilies, so it's great to see them out of granny's trunk and on display in fresh new ways!

A good hundred years after man tamed electricity to produce light at will, hundreds of millions of our fellow citizens on Planet Earth still do not have access to a safe source of light when it is dark.

developed following a two-week workshop at the école des beaux art de bordeaux, the lighting object interprets
the facets found on calligraphic ink bottles that facilitate access to the ink, and applies the form to the base of a lamp.
this shape aids in directing the light source according to one's needs, allowing one to angle it accordingly.
the articulated joint normally found at the base of lamps in this case is replaced by geometry which is cast in metal
and firmly stabilizes the light. the small head can change angles and slide up and down.
'CL lamp' uses energy efficient LEDs that are of a warm white color similiar to the traditional light bulb.

Some deep sea creatures, such as the Anglerfishes, emit light from their escas to attract prey. Inspired by their form and means of interaction, the designers at Ontwerpers have designed the organically shaped Light Up chair. This unusual shape reminds of the fish by design and it’s very convenient in using as you can turn on the light when you are reading; the chair itself is very ergonomic and your back would never be tired. I love the color that resembles of some fish scales. Such a piece can be put inside and outside, but in the garden at night the lamp would attract insects just like the fish attracts the food.

"Nine," a desk lamp Aldentro Desmijter Pieter-aka-could be seen as the answer to the young Belgian designer Giorgio Bonagura of "Titi" lamp, following the example (or is it a right angle?) From ' glory days of the Bauhaus, which reflects the quintessence of modernity in a square piece of enlightenment.

The form is minimal to the point of seeming Spartan, folding over itself as though it is hiding the lightbulb, which shines out of its sides nonetheless. Yet "Nine" is far from cold, and its punctuation-like shape adds an aspect of whimsy to the simple lamp.

This metal table light gives a soft diffuse light. The idea was to create a table light emphasizing the things that are normally hidden. By using a contrasting socket and textile wire an attractive light was created.
It's a simple but tactile light which creates a nice warm atmosphere.

No Glue No No Glue No Screw Lamp

Recently discovered in the New Designers exhibition in London, this lamp long thin wood is made without glue or screws. Designed by the recent graduate of the University of Plymouth Dan Murley, the design is made from pieces of scrap wood left on the creation of a chair. Nata (Portuguese word for cream) is a lamp designed by Gonçalo Campos. Its name refers to its color and look pale white porcelain classic. This is a lamp made from an old form, stopped, took a ceramics factory. Campos has given new life to mold disposal and added some details of his own, including the two handles.

Aliens are taking over the world, and they’re starting with this miniature cow they found on your table.
