1990 U.S. Geological Survey Map of the Bach Region of Planet Mercury

This is a beautiful example of the U. S. Geological Survey's 1990 map of the Bach Quadrangle of the planet Mercury. This geologic map, based on the images from Mariner 10, depicts half of the Bach region - the other half being beyond the terminator during the three Mariner 10 encounters. Detailed notes and descriptions of map units are included on the right half of the sheet. <a href="http://www.geographicus.com/P/AntiqueMap/BachMercury-usgs-1990>... more

This is an impressive 1988 U.S. Geological Survey map of the southern hemispheres of Umbriel, Titania and Oberon, three of the Uranus' moons. The map contains three pairs of images. The first pair in the top section of the map depicts a photomosaic and a pictorial image of Umbriel, the third farthest of Uranus' five major moons. The Wunda crater, which is a ring of bright material and Umbriel's most striking feature, is identified here. <a href="http://www.geographicus.com/P/AntiqueMap/UmbrielTitaniaOberon-usgs-1988>... more

This is a fine example of the U.S. Geological Survey's 1988 map of the southern hemisphere of Ariel, the fourth largest moon of the planet Uranus. The map contains two images, a controlled photomosaic on the left and a pictorial map on the right. It represents the southern hemisphere of Ariel based in the images from Voyager 2. The Voyager 2 spacecraft, launched in August 1977, is the only spacecraft to have explored Uranus and Neptune. <a href="http://www.geographicus.com/P/AntiqueMap/ArielSouthern-usgs-1988>... more
