J. Vooght's 1687 maritime map of the Virginia, Carolina, Georgia and Florida coasts.  Oriented to the west (with north to the right), this map covers from the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay southwards, along the eastern seaboard, as far as Cape Canaveral, Florida. <title>1783 De L'Isle Map of the United States, Mexico, and the West Indies</title>

The map covers the United States, Mexico, New Mexico, Central America and the West Indies or Antilles.  De L'Isle first issued this map in 1703. The map covers from Blythe Island past Brunswick and Buzzard Roost to St. Simon's Island and Jekyl Island.  Issued on a scale of 1:40000.  The triangulation for this chart is the work of A. W. Longfellow.  The hydrography was accomplished by a team under the command of S. D. Trenchard.   The whole was compiled under the supervision of A. Centered on what would soon be known as Texas, this map covers from the Pacific to the Atlantic, and from the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay tot eh Isthmus of Panama. <title>1855 U.S. Coast Survey Map of Romerly Marshes, Georgia</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.geographicus.com/P/AntiqueMap/RomerlyMarshes-uscs-1855"&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.geographicus.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/S/RomerlyMarshes-uscs-1855-S.jpg" alt="antique map" title="Antique &amp; Rare Maps" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt; An uncommon 1855 nautical chart or maritime map of the Romerly Marshes, Georgia.  Romerly Marsh is a popular hunting and fishing area just south of Savannah, Georgia.  In the 1850s Romerly Marsh was particularly difficult to navigate due to its 'excessive crookedness' and 'sharp bends'.  Drawn on a scale of 1:10,000.  The triangulation for this chart was completed by A. W. Longfellow, a nephew of the famous poet.  The Hydrography was accomplished by a party under the command of J. N. The whole is engraved and colored in Mitchell’s distinctive style with green border work and vivid pastels.  Political and topographical features are noted and color coded with elevation rendered by hachure.  This map was prepared by S. A. Centered on Jones Island, this map extends from the river’s mouth at Tybee and Turtle Islands inland as far as the city of Savannah, which is itself drawn in considerable detail.
