<title>1850 Cruchley Map of Scandinavia: Norway, Sweden and Denmark</title>

<title>1835 Hall Map of Denmark</title>

It covers all of Denmark inclusive of the Duchy of Holstein and the islands of Zeeland, Funen and Laland.  The Kattegat (Cattegat) is also identified. <title>1891 Rand McNally Map of Sweden and Norway</title>

It covers from Finmark in Norway to Gothland in Sweden.  During the latter half of the 19th century, due to Sweden's predominantly agricultural and hence poor economy, large numbers of its population immigrated to the United States. <title>1828 Malte-Brun Map of Sweden and Norway</title>

The map covers from the Arctic Sea south to Denmark and east as far as the Gulf of Finland.  The legendary and semi-mythical whirlpool known as the Maelstrom (Mahl Strom) in northwestern Norway is noted.  This legendary whirlpool was the inspiration for edgar Allen Poe's classic tale 'Descent into the Maelstrom'. <title>1854 Spruner Map of Scandinavia  under the Fredrikshamn Treaty:  Norway, Sweden, Finland</title>

The map covers Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland and includes parts of Russia.  On September 17, 1809, Sweden and the Russian empire signed the Treaty of Fredrikshamn, a peace agreement that concluded the Finnish War.
