Centered on the Capitol, the map beautifully illustrates various important landmarks, including the Smithsonian Institute, Washington Monument, Botanical Gardens, Arlington, Howard University, State Department, etc.  Beautiful illustrations of carriages, horsemen and people strolling are included in the forefront.
