Antique Elgin pocket watch, 1924. The watch has a grade 303 seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 26,667,306 which dates it back to 1924. The watch measures 46mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10k gold filled and was made by the Dueber Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking but overall it is in nice condition for such an early piece. The case has a screw on front and back. The acrylic lens is in nice condition with only light marking, all very acceptable. The signed silvered metal dial is in nice condition with original ornate blued blued steel hands. The watch comes in a new presentation box.

A fine hallmarked silver gravy or sauce ladle from the 18th Century. This superb example is in Old English pattern, with a feather edge border. A large mid 19th century (circa 1860) Anglo Indian padouk centre table probably from the Bombay region of India. This table consists of a solid padouk circular top with egg and dart carved edge leading down to a pierced and carved frieze of vine leaf and foliate decoration with carved moulded edge below. The table is supported by a superb quality highly decorative base of rich patina consisting of a carved central baluster column with foliate carved decoration with four superbly carved foliate and shaped outer supports. This leads down to a quatre-form platform base with a carved and pierced frieze with foliate carving terminating on four scroll foliate carved feet. This style of leaf carving is often found on pieces of antique furniture from the Bombay region of India dating to around 1850-1860, similar types of 'leafy vine' carving can be found in the book 'Furniture From British India And Ceylon' by Amin Jaffer, page 341 etc. This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home. Antique Italian painting from the second half of the 17th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting an allegorical subject from the Rudolphine school, a game of cherubs with wild game, of excellent pictorial quality. The Rudolphine school, also known as the Prague school, refers to that group of artists working at the court of Rudolf II of Habsburg. Note the quality in the creation of the complexion, the still life and the masterful use of the chiaroscuro technique to create depth and volume of the subjects. Painting that develops horizontally, of nice size and pleasant decor. Artwork that has undergone a conservative restoration with relining, replacement of the frame and restoration of color in some places (see photo). Antique J W Benson full hunter pocket watch. The watch has a Swiss 16-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the J W Benson name, and it has been identified as a Cyma movement. J W Benson originated in 1847, founded by James William Benson and Samuel Suckley Benson. They were regarded as one of Victorian London’s most prestigious retail jewellers and they also manufactured their own watch movements. The company flourished and proudly boasted an elite client base made up of both British and European royalty and a selection of well heeled industrialists and business figures including the King of Siam, the King of Portugal, the King of Denmark, the Emperor of Japan, the Tsar of Russia and the King of Greece. J W Benson also supplied watches to Queen Victoria and the Prince of Wales. As with many watch manufacturers, J W Benson embraced the newly introduced wristwatch during the first World War. Up until this point, the company was still manufacturing its own movements in the UK but after its factory at Belle Sauvage Yard was hit during a bombing raid in 1914, it purchased mechanisms from a number of quality movement producers in Switzerland, including Cyma. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, an English case manufacturer and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in good condition with just one small 5mm indentation by the hinge. The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition. The signed dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. The watch comes in a new presentation box.

Unusually small mid 19th.c. French mahogany and marble top commode chest of drawers c.1840. Just 31" wide. Original grey marble top with scores of tiny fossils embedded within and canted front corners. Over a chest of four drawers. Symmetrically arranged flame mahogany veneers to the drawer fronts with brass knobs and shield shaped escutcheons. Mahogany veneered sides and plinth, also with canted corners. An early 20th century Edwardian eight branch gilt metal and crystal prism chandelier. The eight gilt metal shaped arms have a leaf, branch and flower detail and terminate in a leaf and flower drip tray and faux candle lamp holder. The top and underside of the chandelier have pressed embossed shaped gilt metal panels, these and the drip trays are decorated with hanging cut crystal prisms, in excess of 130 prisms in total.
