Even when consciously backing up data, we sometimes forget save some important things. Here is a list of some things I do/save before restoring my computer to factory settings.

Files

Places to check:

1) All partitioned drives

2) Desktop

3) User folders - Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Music, Videos

-----> I don't usually save things in User folders, but once in a while I save 1 or 2 important files to it. So checking it won't cause any harm.

4) Any applications that save files - webcam, chats. Check the hidden folder "AppData" in the User folder for such files.

Web

1) Bookmarks - Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer or any other browser

2) Take note of any add-ons in use

3) Save data of any add-ons in use - ScrapBook (for me)

4) Saved Passwords - for Firefox: Password Exporter add-on

Other

1) Windows Calendar

2) Sticky Notes

With all these saved, it is save to restore the computer. I recommend not restored all this files back on to the hard drive once the computer is restored. Try starting fresh, and be more organized every time.

Please add comments if I missed anything that needs/is safe to save/back up.
Anusha Mallampatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156101350485714588noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785416493659533883.post-48372792651530557742010-06-04T00:29:00.000-07:002010-06-04T00:30:25.893-07:00Horror Genre & Tollywood

Recently horror seems to be a genre many are interested in after the stupendous success of Arundathi. An attempt to such success is Aa Intlo, which released six months after Arundathi.

After watching both the movies, I realized something. I refuse to watch any ghostly movies in Hollywood out of fear, yet these Tollywood movies seemed nothing to me. I wonder why? I think I know the reason now. No, it is not because of the difference in quality of the movies.

I think it is because of the actors playing the roles of ghosts. In Arundathi and Aa Intlo, I was highly familiar with the actors playing the roles that are supposed to make me feel uncomfortable and scared. Such familiarity is destroying the horror in the movies. If movie makers chose unfamiliar people for their ghosts it might just be possible to create fear through their movies.

Quality of the makeup might also play a major role. I remember laughing at the ghosts in Arundathi as I thought they looked like they just dipped their head is some powder bowl. Movie makers has put so much effort into the graphics of the castle and everything else in the movie, I wonder why they didn’t bother making the actors that played the role of ghosts a bit more scarier with graphics.

It is just a thought for the future Tollywood movies in the genre of Horror.Anusha Mallampatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156101350485714588noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785416493659533883.post-35938148032632074072010-05-21T23:48:00.000-07:002010-05-21T23:49:23.611-07:00Old is Gold - in Movies too?

"Old is Gold". One may have heard this saying quite a few times in their life. Regardless of how many new things one is introduced to, they always tend to like things they grew up with. Why? I think it is because childhood is when ones character is established; it is also when ones likes and dislikes are formed, which could change later, but that is a different story.

My parents grew up watching NTR and ANR, black and white movies. Such movies interest my parents greatly. They showed me movies like Missamma, Mayabazar, Gundamma Katha and so on. Ignoring the fact that these movies are black and white and are with chubby actors, I liked these movies immensely.

Something that occurred to me recently is how differently the actors are portrayed in the old movies compared to the latest ones. Another thing I was thinking about is why multi-starrer movies are such a big deal in recent years when it wasn't back then, especially when stars like NTR and ANR are claimed to be legendary stars. They didn't have a problem with acting together back then, but people now have their ego, prestige, politics or whatever to act with another star.

What has changed to make the circumstances different? It shows how we might have degraded as human beings, as we think we are above the other or is it inferiority complex?

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I want to understand what is going on. I might be missing something to understand today's film industry situation.

Here is video that gives us a taste of what we can achieve with multi-starrer movies:
I can keep listening to this song all day, repeatedly. The piano is just amazing in this song, so are the drums and sax (i think).
Correct me if any of the lyrics are incorrect. Thanks and Enjoy!
In the article linked above, Rick Broida mentioned 5 free software he found useful. Here is my take on them.

All these 5 softwares are free.

Advanced Uninstaller (Portable)

Awesome uninstaller. It is portable, so no need to install it. I currently use Revo Uninstaller, which I always thought is a little slow but effective. This unistaller is fast; however, I don't think it is as effective as Revo. I tried uninstalling some of the software on my computer. After uninstall, it cleaned up some leftover files, but it didn't mention the deletion of any registry files. On the other hand, Revo asks us to clear up reg files as well. This software is worth a try, as one might end up liking it immensly.

Dual Display Mouse Manager

I didn't try this out as I don't have external display.

Dexpot

I don't know how I lived all these years without this software. Can have up to 20 virtual desktops, which is amazing. One might not need so many, but they are there. You can choose the hot keys to switch between desktops. I have been using this software for the past 4 hours and there is not much change in the computer performance, which is really good. You can customize each desktop. The notification icons and quick links on the taskbar are the same for every desktop. There a lot of simple, yet complex, settings for users to customize. I have my music playing on the one desktop and I'm coding on the other. I like it that multiple windows are not open at one desktop. It feels like switching between computers, except you have all your settings here. I haven't yet tried how this would work it connected to an external display. As of now, this is a must have software.

Universal Viewer

Wonderful software. You can't create a file, but can open, edit and save a document. Once you open a document you can edit it; but edit options are minimal. Audio, Video and Image files are on a different scale; it works as a media player/image viewer for these files, so there isn't much to edit.

There is a huge list of files they claim the software can open. here is a list of files I tried opening and if they worked or not.

Audio

mp3 - yes

Video - don't think subtitles work

wmv - yes

flv - played audio, but blank video

mp4 - yes

m4v - no

avi - yes

mkv - no

Images

jpg - yes

gif - yes

png - yes

MS Office and other text files

txt - yes

rtf - yes

doc - yes

xls - yes and editable too

Other

pdf -yes

xml - yes

java - yes

Wizmouse

According to my understanding, this software is not really for laptops unless you have an external mouse with scroll.

Of all these, I'm definitely keeping Dexpot. Advanced Unintaller and Universal Viewer are something to think about. Might have some user for Dual Display Mouse Manager and Wizmouse, but as of now I don't need them.Anusha Mallampatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156101350485714588noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785416493659533883.post-39018952521058165722010-04-29T16:54:00.000-07:002011-01-20T21:17:29.236-08:00Prasthanam – Modern Day Mahabharath (Movie Review)

Spoiler Alert: Don’t read this review unless you have already watched the movie, or you want to spoil your opportunity to watch movie with your own thoughts.

Story:
Note: I had a hard time tell the story of this movie as it is complex. Excuse me, if I confuse you.

The story starts in a village with the discussion of who the next village president will be. Some goons revolt against the next president and want their own leader to be president. The current president, to prevent violence, steps aside from the elections so that there will be no elections or any fighting. However, his son, Keshava(Ravi Prakash) participates in the election in place of his father and his followers support him. Lokesh(Sai Kumar) is a
main person among his followers; he is like a right hand to Keshava. Lokesh himself has an important henchman, Bhasha. The goons react to the Keshava running for president by stabbing him. Lokesh and Bhasha try to save Keshava, but he fails to survive. In anger Lokesh goes and kills the goons’ leader. Lokesh tries to comfort Keshava’s father saying that his is there for him like a son. Keshava’s father requests Lokesh to become his adopted son and marry Keshava’s wife, Savitri (Pavitra Lokesh) and take care of Keshava’s daughter Valli(Surekha Vani) and son Mitra(Shrawanand). Lokesh agrees to Keshava’s father’s request. While this decision angers Valli, Mitra is happy have Lokesh as his father. Soon, Lokesh and Savitri have a son Chinna(Sundeep Kishan). Valli starts to hate Chinna as well, while Mitra takes care of him. Lokesh decide to leave the village and go to the city.

The story moves ahead to all the three kids grown up to be adults. Lokesh grows immensely in politics. Mitra follows Lokesh’s footstep in politics. Valli becomes a doctor and is married with two kids, and still hates Lokesh, Savitri, and Chinna. She only communicates with Mitra. Chinna finishes college and is job less with a drug problem. He hates everyone in his family. He hates his father Lokesh for not letting him into politics as he is impatient and spontaneous. He hates his step-brother Mitra for taking his position next to his father. He hates Valli for not caring for him and hating him. He feels like everyone in his family hates him; therefore he hates them all back.

In the mean while, Lokesh starts getting more corrupt in politics and makes Mitra stay away so that he doesn’t oppose. After a series of events, Chinna rapes and murders Bhasha’s daughter. Bhasha leaves Lokesh and sets out to murder Chinna. Lokesh hires a cop to kill Bhasha to save Chinna. The post mortem of Bhasha’s daughter is done by Valli. Chinna begs her to save him, but she refuses out of pity for the girl. Chinna’s hatred bursts and he ends up killing Valli and her husband. Lokesh tries to protect Chinna more. On the other hand, Mitra sets out to kill Chinna: however, he fails to kills him as Chinna is his brother. Instead Bhasha gets hold of Chinna and murders him. Upon learning that Chinna is dead, Lokesh is devastated. He orders the cop to kill off Mitra and Bhasha. Bhasha saves Mitra and kills the cop. He then explains to Mitra that Lokesh murdered Keshava to marry Savitri and grow politically. Mitra proceeds to meet Lokesh and tells him that there is one right thing that should be done now, which is killing Lokesh. However, Mitra proceeds to tell him and he cannot kill Lokesh, as he thought of him as his father. Mitra leaves Lokesh to go off in his own path. Lokesh, after listening to Mitra, commits sucide.

Comparisions:
I want to draw some comparisons between the great epic of Mahabharath and Prasthanam. I will concentrate more on Prasthanam, and will refer to characters in Prasthanam with the Mahabharath characters they correspond to. For example, the character Lokesh, played by Sai Kumar,, is similar to Dritharastra. I will mention this and start referring to Lokesh as Dritharastra. This way you can have a better understanding for my comparisons.

1. Keshava character, played by Ravi Prakash, is similar to Pandu. He is brave and dies early in the story. Modern twist to Pandu is that his last wish is for Dritharastra(2) to marry Kunti(3).

2. Lokesh character, played by Sai Kumar, is similar to Dritharastra. He wants the best for his own son (5). The modern twist to the story is that Dritharastra is responsible for Pandu’s(1) death. After Pandu’s death, he marries Kunti and has his own son with her. Our modern Dritharastra is a little smarter. He makes sure to be on the good side of Pandava (4). Moreover, he gains Pandava’s love so much that Pandava can’t hurt him even after finding out the evil side of Dritharastra.

3. Savitri character, played by Pavitra Lokesh, is not much similar to Kunti; however, I would like to refer to her as Kunti because she is the one widowed. Modern twist to Kunti is that she is forced to marry twice. Her first marriage is with Pandu(1) and they have two kids – Pandava(4) and Dussala(6). Her second marriage is with Dritharastra(2) and they have a kid – Duryodhana(5).

4. Mitra character, played by Shrawanand, is similar to Pandavas, expect here we have all five as one. He is intelligent, patient, honest, strong and more. He loves his family and can’t harm them regardless of their sins. Modern twist to his anger is that his father (Pandu) is murdered by his step-father(Dritharastra), who he adores, and his sister(Dussala) and brother-in-law are murdered by his step-brother, who is takes care of. Like the pandavas, he is not too comfortable fighting his own family; however, he has to fight for the truth.

5. Chinna character, played by Sundeep Kishan, is simlar to Kauravas, expect here we only have one so he is Duryodhana. While Duryodhana in Mahabharat has some good qualities, like his loyalty to Karna, Chinna has none. Duryodhana in Prasthanam wants to be the heir of his father’s political career. However, he is shot down by his father for his lack of thinking and patience. His downfall starts when he rapes and murders Draupadi(7). More over, out of hatred he murders Dussala(6) and tries to kill Pandava(4). Instead, he ends up getting murdered by Karna(8).

6. Valli character, played by Surekha Vani, is similar to Dussala; I know Dussala is Dritharastra’s daughter but please bear with me. The similarities I saw are that Dussala likes Pandavas over Kauravas. Valli likes Mitra over Chinna and she is the only girl in the entire family of Kauravas and Pandavas.

7. Two characters in Prasthanam that reminded me of Draupadi are Nadhiya and Valli. Nadhiya character, played by Reshmi, is similar to Draupadi because she is the reason things start falling apart for Duryodhana(5) and Dritharastra(2). Modern twist is that she is raped and murdered by some she trusted and “loved”, which is Duryodhana. On the other hand, Valli character is also similar to Draupadi, as her death angers Pandava more than the death of Nadhiya.

8. Bhasha character is similar to Karna. Modern twist is that he is loyal to Dritharastra, instead of Duryodhana. He doesn’t rebel against Dritharastra’s wrong actions. However, when he learns that his daughter Nadhiya(7) is murdered by Duryodhana(5), he rebels and seeks to kill Duryodhana. He also becomes loyal to Pandava(4) and reveals to him the true face of Dritharastra(2).

My Opinion:
Story of the movie impressed me immensely. Hats off to Deva Katta for this wonderful piece of art. Sai Kumar did a remarkable job, like always. Shrawanand has another amazing movie in his career after Gamyam. He played his character well. Sundeep Kishan is really good as the bad guy. I felt pity and hatred for his character in the movie, which is a unique combination of emotions for one character.

I enjoyed how they underplayed the political aspect of the movie and showed more of the family matters. Comedy is perfect amount and nothing too irritating. The decision to remove some songs from the movie is a great, as the songs will destroy the feel of the movie. Only first and last songs are good songs in the movie. The college and diwali songs are okay. Remaining songs are pointless and irritating.

Overall: Movie is excellent. It is a MUST WATCH.Anusha Mallampatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156101350485714588noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785416493659533883.post-42897350345230138182010-04-18T18:25:00.000-07:002010-04-18T18:25:50.473-07:00Actors' Stunts in Telugu Cinema

Recently I was watching an episode of Law & Order in which a cop gets shot once in his gut; he crashes to the floor with pain and couldn’t even move. In another instance, a cop gets a blow (punch) to his head and blanks out for a couple of seconds before he retreats. It made me think of the action sequences in Telugu Cinema, where the actor endures multiple blows, gun shots and bomb blasts without much damage.

What is the last Telugu Action movie, with a noted actor as the main character, that doesn’t have the actor doing something extraordinary for his movie? Movie makers seem to be under the impression that “super-power” performances by actors are a necessary part of the movie. However, something they don’t seem to understand is that such performances make the scenes unnatural and make a good movie into a degraded one or even a bogus one.

The latest movie that explains this scenario is Adurs. In the movie, Jr. NTR did stunts that are extraordinary. For the introduction, he flies out of a blasting container, unscratched. Excluding the intro, the rest of the fights in the movie are to the ordinary with bunch of gun violence, which is great. Then he jumps for a huge tower and still survives without a scratch. Later there are a couple fight sequences where he lifts and throws humans around like puppets. In addition to that, he flies around like some superman. It wasn’t really necessary to have a father flashback, which is copied from Krrish. Some fights in this movie were to the extreme. As it is Jr. NTR’s movie all the extraordinary things are needed, right? No. The movie would have done just fine without the crazy action sequences. Movie makers need to understand that their target audience are not kids, but adults, who will find such super stunts hard to digest.

If movie makers want to have their actors fly around, they should try making some super hero series of Super Man or Spider Man, so that they have a perfect explanation to why a the actor can fly around, take on 10 people at the same time or even make objects stop in midair. Even with super hero series we might still have a problem. Another thing that kills such stunts by actors is the poor usage or ropes. As I have mentioned in the Varudu review that the use of ropes in Telugu cinema has become unnecessary; moreover, it makes the scenes look more fake. For instance, during the basketball game in the beginning, Allu Arjun makes extraordinary shots, which is completely unnecessary. When adding such stunts to the movie, directors need to be careful in making scenes more plausible. When audience see the costumes hang awkwardly and the actors flying in odd positions, it destroys the feel of the scene.

Actors don’t need to stop performing stunts; they just need to perform good and believable stunts rather than super hero stunts, unless of course they are acting as one. For example, good stunts are what Manoj did in Nenu Meeku Telusa. About 40 minutes into the movie, he tries to chase and run away from the attackers and in the process he performs some great jumps and attacks that are completely natural, exciting and amazing at the same time.

When making a movie, one should want the audience to be involved in the movie, rather than feel disconnected with it. When watching an actor perform stunts, the audience should not be led to think about how the actor is doing, but feel the emotion of the character. With extraordinary stunts such feel will be hard to achieve. When doing a movie, stunts are something movie makers need to take time with to make them more natural.

Note: The use of the word “extraordinary” in this article is used with a negative connotation. I really enjoyed the movie Adurs for its comedy, just letting the readers know I don’t have anything against the movie or Jr. NTR as an actor.
I am a big music buff (too). I try to listen to almost all Telugu songs I can get my hands on. Recently, I’ve realized that some of the songs I like to listen to are unknown to many, as they are from flop movies. Some individuals tend to listen to music of well know movies, actors. In such cases, they miss out on the flop movies and new music directors. In many movies recently, the so called comedy tracks are proving to be pointless. In some cases, the scenes involving the comedians are irritating rather than entertaining. Many movies in the Telugu Film Industry have failed due to poor comedy* tracks, yet directors and/or story writers continue to include such scenes in their movies. This article will discuss how it is not important to have a special/parallel comedy track in every movie, how it is not important for a movie to have multiple comedians and how some movies might have failed due to irritating comedy* tracks.

In the latest Prabhas - Puri Jagannadh combo movie, Ek Niranjan, the movie has a comedy track with Ali, Bhramanandam, and Abhinaya Sri. This is a parallel comedy track as it has nothing to do with main plot of the movie. It is also a special comedy track as it is an addition to the comedy of Prabhas, Kangana Raunat, and Sonu Sood who are the main characters and have everything to with the main plot. While the main plot of the movie is dealt awesomely, the special comedy* track is a total waste. It feels as if the main plot of the movie is put on a hold for some time, while some other nonsense is played. The movie would have been above average or a possible hit, only if that comedy track didn’t exist.

Like Ek Niranjan, the uncut version of Geetanjali had a parallel comedy track that is meaningless and painful to watch. As the comedy track was proving to be a negative factor to a wonder plot, the comedy track was eventually deleted. Now many watch the movie contently without any irritation. Why aren’t the movie makers learning from the past and still throwing in dim-witted comedy* tracks in their movies?

Moving on, it has become a habit for some movie makers to have multiple comedians in a movie. Isn’t one comedian good enough? Many actors, like Raviteja and Prabhas, are doing well in providing comical relief in their movies, which makes it unnecessary to have other comedians. It is understandable to have one other comedian to interact with the hero, like in the case of the movie Kick. In Kick, we have Bhramanandam interacting with Raviteja and Illeana as a comedy track. Such tracks are enjoyable, as they are interwoven into the main plot.

In recent times, many movies, like Anasuya, Leader, Ye Maya Chesave, tasted some decent success without any special/parallel comedy* tracks. If special comedy tracks were added to these movies, they would surely not be the successful hits they are today. It is important for movie makers to learn from the past and make better movies.

comedy* = intended to be funny, but are not.
Nag, aka Akkineni Nagarjuna: the sexist 50 year old movie star of the South India. In his career, he acted in many blockbusters like Shiva, Geetanjali, Manmadhudu and more. However, his career has not been up to mark lately. His last five movies, Boss, Don, Krishnarjuna, King, Kedi, despite his charm, failed at the box office. Another surprising fact being that with a low level movie of his career like King, he officially asked his fans and the film industry to change his title from YuvaSamrat to King. This article will discuss why his last five movies might have failed, if it was right for him to change his title, and what his possible future might be in the Telugu film industry.

The 5 Duds:

Reason why Boss failed is due to lack of a tight screenplay. Also, the meaningless laughs of Nag in the movie are irritating. According to the main plot of the movie, most of it should be concentrating on how Nayantara’s character finds a loving husband; with Nag playing the role of the loving husband, and him being a top actor, it looks like the story is degraded by giving him the same importance as Nayantara. Thus, the story with Shirya was added to the movie, which is completely unnecessary. If you recall, you might have thought the movie ended right before Shirya enters the movie.

Moving on, the movie Don is an interesting concept, but the story was flawed a bit. First of all, the romance factor in the movie is pointless and lengthy. The main plot is about a don ruling Hyderabad who helps the residents. It is incomprehensible where the love story comes in. Also, the Don doesn’t react until his good friend and his love are kidnapped? Moreover, Lawrence tried to steal the show with his character and acting. Such negative factors made the movie as less interesting as possible. On the other hand, the scenes involving the interaction between the dons were directed in a splendidly elegant manner.

Next three movies of Nag start with the letter K. It is interesting how these movie names “degraded” one by one. First one being godly, Krishnarjuna, second being royalty, King, and third one being bandit, Kedi. In addition, watching these movie are the commoners (us), which concludes all the ‘roles’ in life.

Krishnarjuna is not really a Nagarjuna movie, but he played one the main characters, so it counts. A reason this movie might not have done well at the box office is because of the story itself. The story of an innocent child/man and God coming to his aid was too old of a story. If the movie was directed towards a different genre, for instance comedy like Bruce Almighty, it might have worked.

King is an interesting mixture of movies. It was declared a hit, something the movie doesn’t really deserve. This might be the lowest of Srinu Vaitla’s recent career. I have never expected such a low level movie from a director who directed hit movies like Dhee, Dubai Seenu and Ready. It is a disappointment how he just mixed up Chandramukhi, Simhadri with his own story.

Finally, Kedi is a mix of a many movies as well. Nag telling his past story to the cop and the cop giving Nag another chance are copied from Slumdog Millionaire. The concept of Nag stealing money from others is nothing new; they should have been more interesting. Also, attaching a son role to the heroine’s role is hard to digest factor. The movie is just not up to mark, especially after Nag declaring himself the King.

The “King”

Which brings us to if it was right for him to change his title. Changing an actors’ title is a complete new thing for us. Even though Nag opened the door to such concept, let’s hope no one follows him, especially the way he did. Nag’s career was at the lowest for three years when he came out with an average movie, King, and with a title change, which was followed by a flop again.

King’s Future?

At the rate of failures for Nag, it is crucial for him to come up with a decent entertainer. His looks have been helping him for the last four years, which might not in the future. It is better for him to choose family entertainers, such as Santosham, Manmadhudu, instead of mass entertainers like Don and Kedi. Let’s hope he doesn’t leave the industry with a dull note like Chiranjeevi, who left after 5 consecutive flops.

Gud Luck to Nagarjuna and may his future movies shake the box office.

Note: This article contains no factual information, but just my opinions. Also, this article is no way meant to belittle Nagarjuna or anyone.

Strong will plays a key role in the success of our actions. When a decision is made, its execution depends on how strongly willed the person is regarding the decision. In the world today, we are sometimes forced to act against our will. It is important not to do so, as we might not to be content with the results. Conversely, ignoring to act won’t help either.

The solution is to convince oneself of the good deed. Constantly changing oneself to perform what is necessary does not mean that ones identity is being diminished; by acting upon others wishes or commands, one might not understand the intent for or behind the action. In this case, reasoning will help understand and create a will in executing the action.

For example, growing up, people tell us not to smoke. Without knowing the reasons behind it one might decide not to smoke just because their parents or teachers asked them not to. However, they might not be entirely happy with the decision after seeing others smoking joyfully. Reasoning is the best option to strengthen their will to remain a nonsmoker. Researching or asking others why it is important not to smoke might help strengthen their will. With stronger will, the temptations will be minimal or controllable. Thus, one can wholeheartedly accept and understand the decision not to smoke.

With reasoning, actions will be performed wholeheartedly with stronger will resulting in better outcomes. Reasoning might not work in all cases; a reason why there are smokers around. They might not want the will to quit as they wholeheartedly enjoy the act. However, there are some individuals who want to quit for their loved ones; yet, they don’t have the will. Reasoning might help them strengthen their will.

Note: In the above article, smoking is just a case scenario and is not directed towards or to insult anyone. Also, the article contains no factual information, but just my opinions.Anusha Mallampatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156101350485714588noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785416493659533883.post-66971210270577232852010-04-02T22:44:00.000-07:002010-04-02T22:44:10.710-07:00BRILLIANT WAYS GIRLS TURN GUYS DOWNBRILLIANT WAYS GIRLS TURN GUYS DOWN!!!
I am usually terrified of snakes and pictures of snakes, but I feel religious for these pictures, which I find as an amazing on me.
In the formal sense philosophy is an academic study of the fields metaphysics, ethics, epistemology, logic, and social philosophy. One's "philosophy of life" is philosophy in the informal sense, as a way of life whose focus is resolving the existential questions about the human condition."
It is important to have a "philosophy of life", which helps define who we are. It is way of how we choose to live our life. It, hopefully, helps us live a better life and be a better human being.

I think a lot (I mean a lot) about life, I am going to start writing some philosophies of (my) life, in general. You might like them, or disagree with them, but it is how I feel about life. Please Respect that!
I would like to say that I don't mean to offend anyone with this post, but just trying to express my thought on the topic.

The latest big time news for the Telugu people: Jr. NTR is getting married. To some it might be just another news, to some girl fans it might be a heart breaking news, and to others it might be happy news. I was in the "just another news" category till I heard the details of the news. "He is getting married to a 18 year old girl, who also happens to be his cousin."

My initial reaction is pure irritation: 'what the heck?' I hope it is not just me that feels this way about the news.
Being a public figure and with many people looking up to him, Jr. NTR's decision regarding his marriage is despicable. When he is being a idol to many people of Andhra, he should not make decisions against the social norms, unless of course it is for the greater good.

Why is he marrying a teenager? Please don't tell me it's "love". And don't even think about mentioning the word "politics". Also, don't expect a 18 year old to make wise decisions about marriage at that age. There is a reason why child marriages are banned. And what's with them being cousins, okay maybe it is okay to marry that cousin. What's with the 10 years of age difference? I mean what generation are we in? Ya true, just because we are in a different generation, it doesn't mean we change everything about us but, the age difference is being minimized over the years, and now a public figure is dragging/taking us back?

If some random person is marring this way, it only concerns the people around him/her, but this is a major public figure we are talking about. A man with fans who would do anything for him!

This is something to think about.Anusha Mallampatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156101350485714588noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785416493659533883.post-90572974155544188692010-03-11T00:01:00.000-08:002010-04-09T20:25:19.278-07:00Magadheera v. I watched Magadheera around 3 times, after that there is nothing more to it. However, I have watched YMC 3 times, and feel like I can watch it a few more times.

While the plus points for Magadheera are Charan, Rajamouli, Story and Sets, the plus points for YMC are Jesse character, Menon, and Story. Who's missing? Chaitu. He is not a negitive effect to the movie, but not much of a positive aspect either.

However, if one were to compare the performances of Charan and Chaitu in their second movies, they are considerably different. Even though, they both improved a lot in their second movies. Charan is more watchable on screen compared to Chaitu; reason being the looks and the dances. The scope of the charecters are different as well; therefore, the comparison might not be fair. One positive thing Chaitu has over Charan is the variety of characters he can play. With Chirutha and Magadheera, Charan limited himself to a characters with seriousness, much hype, and mass/action. On the other hand, Chaitu is free to play any role he can. In his first movie, Josh, he played a serious, mass/action role. In YMC, he played the role of a lover boy, without any hype.

So who is better? and Which movie is better?

Charan and Chaitu are unique in their own way. I would vote for Charan for looks and dances and Chaitu for the roles he played.

When in comes to picking the movie, I would pick Ye Maaya Chesave over Magadheera because the story of YMC is in a way that it can be watched multiple times without getting bored.Anusha Mallampatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156101350485714588noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785416493659533883.post-36296769992260927672010-03-04T11:18:00.000-08:002010-03-04T11:19:46.060-08:00A StoryTwo men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room 's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene. One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn 't hear the band - he could see it. In his mind ' s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed.

It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window
The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."
Amazing. my professor was telling us yesterday about how we feel happy, when we see others happy. I agree. I found this interesting because I heard this rhyme a million times and never thought of why Humpty Dumpty is an Egg.

Answer: It doesn't say that anywhere. The song is originally meant to be a riddle, to which the answer is an egg.
